I love this place. The Mary me Salmon is to die for. Even for delivery their food is fresh and fantastic. The atmosphere is hip and trendy but still laid back and a good place to have a nice meal. A little loud for conversation sometimes, but the staff make you feel like you belong.
I had been wanting to go here and, when I finally did, I had a great time at Blu Wolf Bistro! A big part of it was the friendly, upbeat energy of our server. I went for brunch and the food was very good too! It was a beautiful day outside so I was happy that they have both indoor and outdoor seating. I went with one other person but it's also a great place for large groups. I highly recommend it!
The food was so fresh and filling. Delicious. The waiter was so great. Made us laugh. We had a great time there.

There are a lot of brunch joints on park Ave. The others have been there longer, and were packed, so I stopped here. Exceptional service. Was greeted right away. BOGO mimosas and bloodies. Food was excellent! I got the hair of the dog which was a brunch bowl with perogies and sausage gravy with eggs your way and sausage and bacon. Phenomenal! Bartender was super pleasant. I sat at the bar. Great music as well.
I went for quick lunch and was surprised that this place was basically deserted (I was there at noon so maybe early). The bartender (who was also waiting tables) was incredibly affable, efficient, and overall great. I ordered the firecracker salmon (basically grilled salmon with a kind of sweet sour Sriracha type sauce) with rice and Brussel sprouts. It was really really good. The salmon was perfectly cooked. Highly recommended! My only worry about this place is that having to wait tables and bartend seemed to put some strain on the excellent bartender —especially because many tables were outside. Also, there was one cook in the kitchen. That makes me a bit worried that if they ever got slammed for lunch it would put a lot of pressure on both of them —though they both seem great at their job!
We went here on a Saturday morning as a party of four for brunch. There was no wait time. I loved this place! The waitress was friendly, and they served coffee with free refills. The food was very delicious and affordable. I had one of the Hangover bowls called the morning after, and it was really good. The portion size was very large - enough for two people to share. My friends ordered the Hair of the dog bowl, Guacamole breakfast sammy, and blueberry French toast, and all were delicious. I will definitely visit this place again and highly recommend it if you’re craving American food. Unfortunately, parking is limited to street parking or a paid parking lot within walking distance.
Stoped in Rochester on our trip to New england from Chicago, decided to stop here after a family vote, and I'm glad we did. Food was phenomenal, our waiter was great, and the atmosphere was perfect for having a nice but not to fancy dinner. Would definitely come back if I find myself in Rochester again.
Pretty good food, went for my birthday. A lot of different options to choose from! Which is great for picky eaters. The restaurant itself is so cute and comfortable. The only thing I’d say to improve is the attentiveness.
Loved it. I was expecting a restaurant, bc I could smell the food from outside, and there is definitely a full size diner going on here. But, at the head of this establishment is an impressive bar, which is not a necessity for me, but a nice bonus if one chooses to have an adult beverage with her meal. My dinner was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. So delicious, and for me, the portions were plentiful. I took home half of my side and waffle for a later treat. Friendly and attentive service.
I absolutely LOVED my meal at the Blu Wolf Bistro! We happened by on a visit to the George Eastman Museum and I can say that I 100% intend to make a trip back to Rochester just to go the the Blu Wolf! I ordered the Brisket Mac 'n Cheese and it was AMAZING! What a wildly delicious combination! So, so good! My friend ordered the Irish Fries and they were also good, a little unique. Great little bistro with varied menu; something for everyone. Went with my son on a Friday night. We had a reservation, but there were tables available for walk-ins as well. Had a hard time deciding what to get because everything looked good. Our server was super friendly and very attentive. I ended up getting the Lawful Waffle burger, and my son got the fish fry, and we split a maple bacon milkshake. The burger was great, although slightly overcooked. My son said the fish was very good as well, but he couldn't even finish it as it was so big. The milkshake, which they kindly put into 2 glasses for us, was good but not as good as we'd hoped for; we wouldn't get it again. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would both recommend it and will return.
Blu Wolf is always our go-to stop whenever we visit Rochester. Food is delicious and portions are huge. Their sweet potato fries are some of the best I’ve had. Unfortunately the most recent time I visited service was sooo so slow despite it not being crowded, but this was hopefully a one-off circumstance. Also a good note that if you’re planning to eat here during busy hours, there’s only street parking available which gets full pretty quickly.

The food was very much mediocre even after waiting 2 hours for it to get to our table. The service was one of the worst services I’ve ever experienced. I saw our waitress twice I think? Came for my birthday, the server was probably the most inattentive server I’ve had in a really long time. Never refilled drinks, got our orders wrong. Would vanish for 20 minutes at a time or be standing doing nothing where I could see her. Atmosphere was good, vibes were good. Food was decent, beef did taste a little off but other than that it was okay. We drove over an hour to try this place and unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.
Not handicap friendly, very crowded, and waaay overpriced for mediocre food at best. The initial service time was reasonable, so hopes were high. However the wait for ordering and being served food was insane. They were a little busy, which is understandable. But 20 minutes to get drinks, then 40+ just to get mediocre food was a bit much. We ended up being there for almost 2 hours, only maybe 20 of those were spent eating. I ended up talking half of the food home and didn't end up finishing it. Not even my kid wanted it. Hopefully it was just an off day for them, but I know I won't be back nor will I recommend it. $8 for a rootbeer is crazy.
We arrived for our reservation at 6:30pm before we were set to get drinks with friends at 7:45pm down the street. We figured it would be more than enough time to have a quick bite and be on our way. When we arrived, there was only about 2-3 parties seated inside, and the same outside on the patio. We got seated quickly on the patio and that was about all that went right. The restaurant is in a great spot, we were able to sit outside and enjoy Park Ave on a really nice night. Our server tried his best, it looked like he was covering every table inside and outside that night. After about 10 minutes of being seated, he arrived and took our drink order. He then left to get the drinks arriving back about 5 minutes later. My husband ordered a burger and I ordered a Cesar salad with fries. Our server did notify us that a party of four inside just places four orders of their burger challenge- 18 burgers in total not including all the additional sides. We expected it to be a bit of a wait, but not an hour. During that hour, we noticed it started to get busier outside but inside still remained pretty empty. We also never saw our server again until about 45 minutes in where he told us the kitchen was really backed up. This was also when he was notified that the party who ordered four of the challenges dined and dashed. We let our server know at 7:40pm with still no food, that once it did come out we needed the check so we could rush to our next spot. Dinner arrived right at 7:45pm, he offered to get us boxes but never returned. Ten minutes later and late for our next reservation, we ended up having a few bites and had to leave 60% of our meal on the table. When I looked inside, our server was standing at the bar talking with someone. We were visiting from Buffalo so the chances we will dine here again are slim when there are lots of other spots on Park Ave to check out. I would recommend that during the weekends and busy dinner hours, the food challenge is not offered.
