Opinions de Fiorella Rochester
Per usual everything was absolutely incredible! The chicken cutlet is bar far THE BEST chicken cutlet around. The cacio e pepe is also delicious and cheesy. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate and the service is also exceptional. This restaurant never disappoints!!
This place is incredible!! Second time here and every bit as incredible as the first. Had the olives, gnocchi, spaghetti with house made meatballs, pizza, and countless cappelletti spritzes. From start to finish this place delivers! Our server went above and beyond for my mother in law’s birthday and she had the best time. So happy this place exists and can’t wait to be back!!
Fiorella is hands down my favorite Italian restaurant in Rochester. I’ve been dozens of times for both lunch and dinner, and it never misses. I especially love that they offer a lunch menu with smaller portions, plus it’s usually easier to get a table. My must-orders are the cacio e pepe, the chicken cutlet, and the pizza. Go with a few friends so you can share and sample a bunch of the menu—it’s perfect for a girls’ night, but just as great for a romantic dinner.
The restaurant is a Rochester gem. It's small and intimate. I had the cacio e pepe which was the best I have had in Rochester. My husband had the sausage and grits which he really enjoyed.
I was craving a real Italian deli sandwich, not some coldcut behemoth from DiBella's that costs like $40, but a real actual sandwich. I wanted roast pork (or a chicken cutlet, god what I would do for a proper cutlet and broccoli rabe up here) with broccoli rabe/greens and extra sharp provolone on it, and you know what? This is the only place I could find in the Rochester area that is actually making it. It's slightly smaller that I had hoped, and they didn't overload it with greens like they do in Jersey, but it still tastes incredible. It's a slice of home, and I'm glad I ordered a second one for tomorrow.
It's so good! Definitely the best or one of the best Italian restaurants in Rochester. We went for lunch and arrived sharply at 11AM to make sure we got a table. For lunch you order at the counter and then they bring the food out when ready. Loved the drink selection. Nice cocktails with ashwagana, nice Italian seltzers, San Pellegrino - much better than just Coke, etc. We got the cacio e pepe, breakfast pizza special, and the eggplant sandwich. I was impressed with the vegetarian food selection available. The pizza crust is nice light, fluffy, but thin. The sandwich was excellent, I got added provolone cheese. The cacio e pepe was not my favorite. A bit watery, when I am accustomed to the sauce being creamy vs watery. The portions were all big, we had to take some home. The staff is friendly, the decor artistic, and the vibe chill, with good music playing. I will be back.
The food was some of the best Italian I've ever had. The pizza either the hot honey drizzle and pepperoni is out of this world. The risotto...the eggplant sandwich...the meatballs...all just amazing. But please get diet coke. I cant eat that much food and have a coke too!!! 😀😀😀
We were greeted with the friendliest and most welcoming smile from Chris. Our phenomenal waiter Eli made sure We knew all the specials and was so attentive. Alex also made sure our table was cleared and we were stocked on drinks at all times. The chicken cutlets and eggplant were DELICIOUS! The ingredients and the entire meal Absolutely mind blowing! 10 out of 10. Great atmosphere and must try!
One of our absolute favorites in Rochester! Family owned, freshest seasonal ingredients, incredible pizza and pasta homemade gelato and ricotta cookies just like your Italian grandma would make if you were lucky enough to have one!
This restaurant was so amazing and friendly. First of all the service was completely amazing, all the waiters and servers were so nice! It was so awesome to eat here because of how friendly everyone was. The food was so good and delicious and I definitely recommend the marinara and Cacio e Pepe Pasta, Eggplant dish and the mushroom Mafaldina pasta! Everything was homemade, and it was still delicious. The waiting time for us was super fast, we were told to wait a few minutes and the table was ready!
A gem in Rochester! The cuisine, vibe & service is all top notch! Our crew enjoyed delicious plates (and big portions) of pizza, pasta & the infamous chicken cutlet! The salad was also so crisp & fresh with a tasty dressing to top it off. We also enjoyed a bottle of Lambrusco on special - 10/10! Thanks for a lovely evening out; we will be back soon! PS don’t skip dessert - the lemon ricotta cookies are to die for!
Yum! My family visited the area from South Carolina this past weekend. We did not have a reservation and chose to sit at the full service bar. Ellen took great care of us and made sure we understood the menu and heard about the specials before ordering. We had one of the appetizer specials (can’t remember the name), Caprese salad, a margarita pizza and the lemon ricotta cookies for dessert. Those are the best cookies I have ever had! To anyone trying this place for the first time, their menu items change with the seasons so everything in an online review may not be available. I was disappointed to not see the mushroom pizza on the menu but completely forgot about it the second I took a bite of their specials!! Thank you, Ellen for being kind to us and making our experience wonderful!
Loved Fiorella! Our experience was incredible! Service was polite and efficient during our visit. Loved the atmosphere which featured tasteful Italian-related decor in a comfortable, candlelit dining area. The menu was simple but filled with several delicious options at a reasonable price point for quality. My margherita pizza was cooked perfectly and so tasty despite its simple ingredients. Will definitely be back! Update: went back! It's still great! Got the baked Ziti that was on special and it was so delicious 🤤
My favorite food in all of Roc 💗 love coming for dinner or for lunch! A Saturday spent at the market and fiorella??? The best. The owners are so so sweet and literally the entire menu is 11/10. They gave me reccos for where to eat when I visited Italy last year 😋 simply the best people + restaurant!
Very well prepared dishes. The pasta is fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce is rich and flavorful. The meatballs could use some additional ingredients like bread-bits and ground veal or pork. I was going to remove a star because the place is small and loud, but I think the food is excellent and the place is definitely worth trying.
One of the best Italian places in roc! Love it here for a quick cutlet for lunch or dinner. Definitely recommend a reservation and keep in mind it is extremely loud in there. Vibes are great with tables close together (kind of NYC style) but it’s very loud due to that. Recommended dishes: Chicken cutlet Cacio e pepe French fries
I would rate this a 3.5 if I could choose that option. The food is pretty good but very prices are extremely high for what it is and nothing blew our socks off. Also the atmosphere doesn't scream Italian at all, more of a modern hipster kind of vibe which did not work at all. Service was great and everyone was friendly. Unfortunately we probably won't return.
We didn’t have a reservation and did not want to wait an estimated hour so we left. The hostess ran after us and apologized for the confusion. I appreciated that as she did not have to chase after us as we were already so far from the restaurant. We were seated at the bar. This really sucks when you have a bag or purse and have to hold it in your lap and if you’re seated next to the checkout iPad, it’s a high traffic area. Other than that, the local buzz and ambiance is nice. We ordered the calamari, chicken cutlet and greens, and sausage and polenta. The calamari was okay, the squid bodies were crispy and the typical round slices were hit or miss. The chicken cutlet was the star of the show. Lightly battered, seasoned well, and you can taste the butter it was fried in, which was extremely delightful. It was a very light dish. The sausage and polenta was meh. The shishito peppers and polenta were very tasty, but overshadowed by the pool of oil from the sausages making it difficult to process.
