I live in Rochester for the past 10 years. I have eaten in many restaurants in town. Today I have found a hidden gem. Strong hot coffee Food that made me bit my finger. What a breakfast experience. If this review didn’t help you choose nothing will. The photo is the inside. Should have taken a picture of the food sorry I eat it . Before I have decided to write a review

While visiting Rochester, my girlfriend and I had breakfast at Jim's On Main. Something about the name made me want to eat here. The owner was our server, and she was so pleasant to talk with and provided exceptional service. She suggested I order from the Signature Items, so I had the Calista Frittata. It has ham, bacon, sausage, and I picked feta cheese mixed with home fries and two eggs. I had a side of meat hot sauce that added some spice to my meal. It was outstanding. If you are in Rochester, I highly recommend Jim's On Main.

This place has heart, the food is delicious and quick. I always get oatmeal with brown sugar raisins and walnuts and butter 😍 and bacon LOTS of bacon. They also have a delicious breakfast sandwich, the roll is so soft and fresh. I love the staff, it’s a laid back, attentive and welcome space. Also Scarlett a Johanssons daughter is working there 😂

Had a very early morning appointment, and this great little diner on Main opens at 5AM, the earliest in Rochester i found! The establishment was clean, had very attentive service, and good food (Eggs Benedict with crispy hash browns and onion) I would have no hesitation to come back again. Parking on street.

I love Jim's! Small place right on Main Street offering a great selection of classic diner food at great prices. Always prompt and friendly service. Never a bad choice for a quick bite or even a large brunch with friends and family. Love the small business, family-run aspect. Many regulars make the place feel so warm and inviting. Many fond memories made here!

One of the best breakfast place in Downtown. The variety of the menu and the kindness of the people working there is amazing. This experience is very rare nowadays. I had ordered standard buttermilk pancakes and French Toast. My friend made her own frittata. The pancakes were so so amazing. The prizes are just so low and unmatchable. The quality of the food is awesome. Place is very clean and beautiful. The owners are cute and friendly!

Great little diner. Always busy. Service is great and accommodating. Cash only! So come prepared or hit the ATM on the way in. Can't go wrong with a nice hearty breakfast.

This is a great diner in the city. Staff were great, service was quick, and the atmosphere was perfect for a typical diner. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was good, however the hollandaise sauce was broken and the potatoes were extremely oily. Wouldn’t stop me from going again though. Coffee cake was great and my wife had the 2-2-2 which was also great.

Had an enjoyable breakfast at Jim's this morning. Service was fast and polite. I thought portions were on the smaller side but prices were fair. Be prepared to pay with cash or to use the ATM on site, as no card payments are accepted.

Very impressed with the food and prices and quality of everything. You are pleasantly surprised when you learn your meal comes with a complementary cup of juice! Sausage was incredible and waiters were kind and pleasant to interact with. Can’t wait to return someday!

Was getting cash out of the ATM when a man behind me said “save some for”. I told I wont have any left after fees. He identified himself as the owner of the ATM and said the only fee was the $2.25 ATM fee. I told him the bank also takes a non banking ATM transaction fee. He insisted that it did not do that. I told him was wrong but he continued to insist that my bank wouldn't take out its own fee. Well I'm sitting here looking at a separate ATM fee. Please feel free to inform that ATM owner that he was absolutely wrong and should be embarrassed that he doesn't know how ATM fees work. Food and service were great btw.

This place was meh at best. 1. The N.Y. strip steak was supposedly N.Y. strip... it was the steakums I buy at the grocery store. Usually when I order N.Y. strip i get it at the diner I usually frequent (happened to be closed today). 2. Waitress doesn't smile once... the line cooks were happier than the waitress. 3. Cinnamon French toast was above sub-par. 4. Cost and value do not match. I only came here once before and said I'd never come back. Wanted to give them one more try. Now I mean it when I say I will not be coming back.

It could be open for business. That would help. Drove from Henrietta for a good ,inexpensive breakfast only to find a paper sign saying closed.

Stop by for a quick breakfast. Noone greeted us when we walked in so we sat ourselves. Three or four other tables that arrived after we did were greeted and asked if they wanted coffee and given a menu. Three different waitress just walked right by us without even offering a menu. I had to yell out to one of the waitress to get her attention for a menu. She looked pissed. Not one of them looked happy. I ordered the waffle with fresh peaches and cream. The peaches were frozen, the waffle had a glob of butter so thick it did not melt and the waffle was cold because of the frozen peaches. I was very disappointed at the service.

!!! PLEASE READ AND BE AWARE !!! I don't like leaving bad reviews ever but I simply cannot ignore this. Upon eating my food, I watched the cook rub his face and hair excessively and then proceed to touch food without gloves or washing hands. I work in a kitchen and was very distraught by this lack of serve safe knowledge displayed, especially when you work in an open kitchen. I tried to brush it off since I had already ordered and enjoyed my food, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I got a sandwich to go and upon taking one bite at home, found one of the dudes hairs in my food and almost threw up. Would love to chalk it up to he was tired or having a bad day, but watching him not pay any mind to what he had just done did not sit right with me and leaves me to believe he does this regularly. Be careful who you allow to make your food.
