Yummy beef patties! Can't wait to try the ox tails, the jerk and curry chicken and the rest! The service was lovely and a customer told me to go early in the day before they run out!

The restaurant was out of something I ordered but was kind enough to call and ask me to choose a replacement & threw in a piece of pineapple 🍍 cake for the inconvenience. You know it's BOMB very flavorful, authentic Jamaican faire even after sitting out all day (we ordered kind of late). Staff is always friendly and welcoming place is very clean food is great all the time you can see what they are serving you. Highly recommend this place my favorite are their Oxtails, jerk chicken, beef patty best around town and soup. I live 20mins. away and I drive the extra miles for great tasting food I only do business here after trying the others restaurants around town. Prices for food are very reasonable. I went here for the first time and ordered a medium Jerk Chicken with Rice and Cabbage and a beef patty. The food was amazing. The chicken fell off the bone, and the spice was just right. The food was piping hot and very delicious.

They didn't get a single part of my order right, but I loved every bit of it and think they knew what was best for me. I ordered a large curry, they gave me a medium (and only charged me for a medium!) which completely filled me. I ordered one coco bread, and they put two in, and my wife loved the leftover one. This might be the best Jamaican spot in Rochester! Their portions are very generous for the price. Ordered before they were going to close and everything was still fresh and hot! The patties are homemade and good. Was skeptical about getting a chicken patty because I had only had the beef ones before but it was really good. Their deserts are really good too!

Very friendly and responsible staff. We ordered a pepper steak plate and junk chicken plate. Both tasted really good. Food is not spicy so anyone can eat it. But food has lot of good flavors. Even though I am a spicy food lover, I really liked their food and the flavors. We got a mac and cheese with beef as a side and that also tasted really good. Their sweets are also good. Also the plates are well ballanced, they have rice, some veggies and meet. I would definitely try this place again.

This place gas AMAZING oxtails. I ordered oxtails, rice and peas with cabbage and a side of mac and cheese. Everything was really good! I read reviews that people were disappointed by thier portion size but I feel like a was given a good amount of oxtails and they were worth the money spent. I really enjoyed my first visit here. The ladies behind the counter have great Jamaican accents, and more , true Jamaican culinary capabilities. The Jerk Sauce was to die for. And the table condiments added a really good amount of spice to the rice. I had the jerk chicken and my friend had the brown chicken. It comes with a tasty cabbage side, two dumplings and a lot of rice. The chicken helping is a meal in itself on the large plate. I also had a Jamaican soda that was a perfect compliment to the meal. They had some very good looking cake but I was already too full. This is a great little Neighborhood Place on Dewey and I've always driven by hoping to visit. Finally having done so, I know that I will come back again. I hear the oxtail is extremely popular. A bit too adventurous for me though I think. Maybe someday. They have an on-premises Bakery and a bakery walk up entrance and then a restaurant side with takeout or seating. There is good music playing on both sides and the atmosphere has an authentic relaxed feel that you would expect to go with the colorful signage and 🇯🇲 cultural heritage.

For the fourth time in as many months my order was inaccurate. This place has a bad habit if randomly substituting your order for something else. While the food is good, it is not worth the frustration of being deliverered wrong orders time and time again. I have received 3 refunds & 2 discount codes from Grub hub over this nonsense restaurant. But a refund means nothing when you’re hungry and receive the wrong food order substituted with food you’re allergic to. In the garbage it goes, yet again. I’m really quite sick of the incompetence of this place.

I ordered through uber eats the oxtail dinner with rice and pees and cabbage and two beef patties, I didn't get neither of the beef patties and the food was mid okay

I was not impressed with the food. I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage. The chicken was not hot. It must of been in the warmer because the cabbage and rice was hotter than the chicken. The cabbage didn't have any flavor or the rice. The best thing was the beef pattie. They didn't have any jerk sauce with the chicken. It wasn't great at all. I end up throwing the whole thing away. Very disappointing.

I wish I could have taken a picture of my dish, but I was upset that they gave me a scrap of curry goat with a lot of bones. If there wasn't much left, they should have let me know it ran out. I decided to throw it away because all I had was white rice, cabbage, and two pieces of plantain. I ended up eating Mac and cheese for dinner. Excellent way to celebrate Emancipation Day, right?

Honestly Coming from a Jamaican family I have high expectations with that’s being said my mother owns two Jamaican restaurants herself. I know what “GOOD” Jamaican food taste like and I’m sorry this wasn’t it. I’m from the city and it’s always been a rule of mine to not have upstate Caribbean food because it wouldn’t live up to my expectations and this was proven right. After making my order i knew from the jump not to leave without tasting the oxtail so we went to my car and we started eating and i was tight because oxtail my favorite meal and i was so disappointed. I had a few bites and threw the food away. Waste of $32. The oxtail taste like ketchup and browning with no flavor. Overall i give the oxtail a 4. I love gravy but this gravy was oily and had that browning taste. I will not be having Jamaican food from upstate again that will be my first and last time. I can see why they have okay comments they don’t know what good Jamaican food taste anyways they all foreigners so it’s understandable. Maybe i came on the wrong day. Who knows

There was a young Caucasian female in the front and she was very confrontational with a costumer. He became irate, she was very rude anyway to many people as is she owned the place , but she was constantly argumentative with this man aboout a receipt. On the other side my oxtails were sliced too thin and they were tough. It was not worth my $18.00 for a large. My 10 yr old daughter said the brown stew chicken was too spicy my other daughter said her oxtails were too tough as well. Not enough on her plate for $18.00 I felt cheated for my money. I am disabled so I cannot run if there is a fight because the worker is constantly arguing wit the customer, he could pull out a gun or something.... You never know. People are crazy these days I won't be back. Thanks to her and that food.

The food is great here but the customer service is horrible... Very slow and lack of detail. Realized after, I was charged for a larger size than what I ordered. I think this place could be great if they could handle the amount of customers in this area and paid attention to detail. I watched two customers walk out after waiting 10 minutes. They have roaches! I’ve been here a couple times. But the last time i went was & will be the last! This places food is not that good. Would recommend a different restaurant in the Rochester area they overcharged me for there food.A small came out to 15.98! And it’s suppose to 12.00!. Bought curry chicken. The girl messed up my order. Asked for white rice only she gave me beans and rice. I was in a hurry so I didn't check my food. The curry chicken was salty and underseasoned. It didnt smell like curry it smelled like soup instead and tasted like it. I dont think they marinate their chicken so the curry really gets in it. Wont come back here again.

I received the delivery; curry chicken with rice and peas. I do not eat peas, it is now 9:00pm and I am working a flight at 7:00am the next morning. Although the food here is amazing, these are hands down the rudest people I’ve ever patronized. 3 separate occasions and all met with rudeness. How can people have the ability to create a negative experience for people in their store all of five minutes is beyond me. I use to order from this restaurant alot, but I haven't had anything from here in 2 years. I ordered an oxtail plate today and it was by far the worst oxtails I've had in a long time. The oxtails and gravy was tasteless. The cabbage was not that good either. I'm kinda disappointed, but I also knew better.

I paid over $50 for two dinners. They said to wait 5mins and they would make the order. They left me sitting outside waiting on my order for over an hour. Closed while i was outside waiting. Then when i asked for a refund they all ran out the back and left me outside. No refund and i got left sitting outside thinking they were making the order, like they said they were, for an hour jus to go runnin out the back when i found out they werent and asked for a refund.

I'm actually a business owner that send customers over when asked where can they get food from this area. My customers started to complain about them not fixing their food the way they ordered it. And when the question them about it they become very hostile and rude. One day I ordered a specific meal and called back to make sure she heard me correctly. Well my meal came back the way they wanted to fix it. I called to tell them that they made my order wrong the lady said hold on put the phone down never came back to the phone and left it off the hook so I couldn't make my complaint. Well, "There's more than 1 way to skin a cat.... That was my last ride on that rodeo. No more support!! Be careful how you treat customers who has supported over the yrs!!! After all the money I have spent and the clientele I have sent over came to an end this day....Now Go be Great!!!

First and only Experience with this restuaraunt was so poor I will never order food from there or walk in off the street even if I was on the verge of dying from dehydration to ask for a cup of water. The ladies working at the store when I walked in where telling customers to cancel there order because they were out of food, told them they couldn't order food at the store directly that they would have to do it online. Poor girl was about to lose her mind because she accidently left her phone home. So I approach ask for my food. They say something that sounds like it will be a couple of minutes. 5 minutes go by I ask about it again they mumble something ... this goes on a few times over the course of about 15 minutes. I finally got someones attention to face me and speak up. Told me I needed to cancel my order because they were out of what I wanted. Gave me an attitude when I told her I didn't know how to do that as I ordered through a 3rd party app.I left called the company and had my ordered cancelled. I am not going to be treated like a tool at a place I visit the first time to try out. I will not eat there and I will not come back. People have asked me a few times since then if I have ever ate there about there poor customer service. Now I deliver for uber eats and every time I get a ping for that location I automatically reject the order.

These people are insanely rude, unapologetic and dismissive towards their customers. If you can't even give your customers basic respect, why would I continue to patronize your business? Ordered online only to arrive and find out they have no oxtails. They should let people know in advance if they are out of stock. I wasted gas and time for nothing...They never even called to let me know and the cashier refused to help me with a refund. The lack of service isn't worth it and neither is the food(there are MUCH better options in Rochester). I wont be back. Just go elsewhere.🙄

Don’t order the oxtails. They’ll give you 5 oxtails & wont say anything about it because their intent is to scam you. Also, the customer service was decent - just decent, but no one runs that bakery. I stood in there for like 15 minutes before someone showed up. The food actually tastes good, but it’s basically a robbery. $25 for 5 oxtails????? Foh. I won’t be back.

I ordered my meal via UberEats. They had a BOGO offer and I ordered the Jerk Chicken plate with beans and rice, a plantain, and cabbage salad. Although the item ordered was a special I wouldn’t recommend ordering it for the following reasons: the chicken was chopped and the parts given were mostly bones and skin with very little meat, the sauce was good but the container was drowning in it, there were two different pieces of plantain ( one was battered) and there was so much cabbage slaw that overwhelmed the entire dish, and the meal was crammed into a tiny sandwich container. I also ordered the carrot cake and a couple bottles of water and requested for extra utensils and napkins. I received two forks and A Napkin ( lol)! I was really looking forward to enjoying this meal because my clients and hotel staff had recommended Reggae Jamaica . Very disappointed!

**Delivery Service Driver** Stood here for almost an hour and watched about 7 people waiting in line for food. They weren't even acknowledged until about 15 to 20 minutes after walking in. They are out of curry chicken and jerk chicken so I had to call both of the customers I was delivering for and tell them they are being forced to choose brown stew chicken or nothing , because they can't switched to another meat. I've had the food here before. And it's good, but not worth the wait and a bad customer service. At least 3. Customers walked out after waiting thirty minutes because because they were out of jerk chicken. I wouldn't suggest to going here on a saturday. Temperature was also through the roof

I ordered a large oxtail with rice. It came with 4 thin-cut oxtails with an abundance of rice and peas. Taste-wise, it was okay, it just lacked flavor. Regarding the cabbage, plantains were the best part of my meal; however, my rice and peas tasted burnt, and it was a taste that I could not overlook, so I did not eat them. Luckily, I ordered through Uber Eats and I was able to get a refund due to the food quality. I am willing to give them another chance, maybe it was just a bad day for them. Also, they're a cash-only establishment.
