My boyfriend and I have only recently started coming here for breakfast, and the staff is always extremely polite to all customers. The food always tastes fresh and tasty, and I have never had an issue with either food or drinks. Every substitution or addition is followed and never forgotten. You can tell the people who work here care about their job and want to make each customer feel heard and appreciated. We will be coming back often! <33

Their food is delicious and their staff was very kind. My wife and I came in for brunch and enjoyed our stay. Their portions were solid for what you pay, especially their enormous "love cake" pancakes. We shared an Apple Spice love cake and their Gyro omelette plate. They were plenty busy. And for good reason. Make sure to take an appetite with you. I was amazed when it came out. Use the English muffins to put the pancake into perspective. They call them lovecakes vs. pancakes. I call it a large pizza with butter and maple syrup.

Cozy diner with a classic diner atmosphere. Very extensive menu with breakfast and lunch choices. Food was really good, enough so that we plan on stopping in again when we are in the area. This was our first visit to a diner since arriving in Rochester a few weeks ago. I definitely got to scratch an itch I was having for a diner visit. The food was really good--I loved that the green peppers in my Benedict were not cooked to mush and still had some crunch 👌🏽 the atmosphere was cozy, the restroom was clean, and the music was at an acceptable volume. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially Gabbie. She was so sweet and patient with my indecisiveness 😂 We'll be back to try some pancakes!

Great: -Canolli pancakes! And yes, they are delicious! -Good-sized menu with plenty of options, even for my gluten-free wife -Above average selections/options in condiments and extras like jellies, jams, coffee creamer, etc. Average: -The interior is average breakfast diner. Not bad at all, but nothing that stands out. -It can get quite crowded at times you would expect, like Sunday morning. But they do a good job of moving things along. Wait times were very tolerable. -Service. I thought of adding this to the great section, because anymore even average service seems great. Wait staff was friendly and orders came out quickly and correctly. As I mentioned, sometimes you had to wait a bit but you could tell staff was hustling along. No one was being lazy here. - Some of the prices seemed a little high but were actually good considering the portion sizes. The canolli pancakes are an example but they were enough for 2.5 meals, so maybe not pricey in the end. We will definitely come back whenever we are visiting our kid at RIT.

Very impressed with the quality of Steve's! I thought that the wait wasn't bad at all! The menu is expansive, so definitely take a second to take it all in! The wait staff were super pleasant and responsive to our requests despite a large morning crowd. You can dine outside but know there are a lot of bees/wasps. Will definitely be back in the future!

I will say that I have been back since and they have greatly improved! It seems that all the bumps in the operation were smoothed out and it is now my favorite diner to return to when I'm visiting.

Had breakfast here on a busy Sunday. wait for a table was a reasonable 10 minutes. Huge menu with something for everyone.

First time trying this place out. Overall, had a good experience but the biggest thing I found strange was their how you go about ordering food and/or a drink. If you want to order just a drink, you place your order right at the register counter and then wait for your order (or name) to be called. If you want to order food, that's where it gets kind of odd. To order food you have to place your order with a person who's standing under a "grill" sign hanging from ceiling who is just standing there with an order pad in their hand. After you order your food, you then have to go over to the register to pay for it. So you basically have to potentially wait in 2 different lines if you want to order food and something to drink; I've never seen an ordering system like this before. I ended up ordering an iced Caramel Mocchiato and the chicken salad wrap. Both were very good and I'd recommend to someone to try. In the end, the overall experience was good, the food and drinl was good, but the ordering system was just very strange and seemed inefficient.

If you’re a fan of cold foam, this is the place! The cold brew with sugar cookie cold foam was absolutely delicious and they really loaded it up on the foam. I didn’t get to try anything else but it seemed like they have some other fun flavors of cold brew/cold foam that they rotate through.

We come here a lot, great tasting food and drink. However today was very disappointing, it’s not cheap and to have the service and product we did was a let down. The girls working behind the counter were paying more attention to eachother than the customers, yelling, goofing around, not being very friendly, and so I think that caused the distraction of our Haymarket sandwiches missing ingredients, and charging us for the wrong size drink. It was a to go order so by the time we got home it was too late to go back.

Decent food, the wait was a bit long but they do what they can to move people a long. Plate sized pancakes are cool but there is nothing different than having a short stack of pancakes. Bacon was a bit greasy, eggs standard, omelette was a bit bland. Poutine there was pretty good. Overall its a crowded diner with standard breakfast food which is only worth if you are only waiting a couple minutes.

I love leaf & bean normally and was excited to be in the area so I could stop in and grab lunch from there. We were right away sent to the Grill area to order both our food and drinks since the registers don’t accommodate food orders. Totally fine but at the grill area the service was so nonexistent that we ended up walking out and honestly probably won’t return. We stood there politely waiting to order for 20 minutes and not a single employee acknowledged myself or my boyfriend or asked to take our order. It ended up being a really embarrassing and uncomfortable experience. The girls working made eye contact with us several times and I would kind of smile to signal I was friendly but one girl answered with a very noticeable eye-roll. We ended up just leaving.

I have given Leaf & Bean more than a fair chance, but after four consistently poor experiences, this will be my last visit. While the café is fine the majority of the time, the level of service I’ve experienced recently is simply unacceptable. During one visit, I waited nearly an hour for a sandwich that had been completely forgotten, despite it not being busy. Another time, I was served regular coffee after specifically requesting decaf, which I cannot drink for health reasons. On a separate visit, my drink was made incorrectly and no one bothered to apologize. Today was the final straw. I watched another customer return her drink because it was cold, only for the staff to “fix” the same cup she had already drunk from instead of remaking it—a clear sanitation concern. I have worked in the food industry and I know this is a violation and unsafe. The drink should have been thrown out and remade. I then waited 25 minutes for my own drink, only to find it contained coffee despite me requesting no coffee. I didn’t even bother asking for a correction after overhearing staff speaking very negatively about the previous customer who simply wanted her drink made properly. This made me uncomfortable and others who were waiting next to me overheard as well. I am out money and have no drink. What makes this worse is that five employees were standing around behind the counter gossiping while one overwhelmed worker made all the drinks. I almost can’t fault her for making my drink incorrectly as she was extremely overwhelmed and you could see it. It was frustrating to witness and reflects a serious lack of leadership and training. Leaf & Bean needs to take customer service, accuracy, and basic hygiene far more seriously. Do better.

Five min later she brought back the SAME food. The reason I knew is because I ripped a piece of the pancake off to see if it was cold originally. I asked for a manager. The manager who was an older woman came over and said rudely, "What's the issue".. I explained and she lied stating the food was remade. I said really- how is the pancake ripped like I sent back? She said loud to embarrass me- "You're going to be that petty". I was floored! That petty? The waitress piled up our plates as if you were taking back dirty dishes, touched our food and they send back the same reheated food? I was livid the manager was so unprofessional. She walked away and we walked out. Waiting for the owner to call me but I will never refer anyone to Henrietta. Penfield and Victor locations are professional, clean and no issues! How disgusting not only their sneaky behavior but the unprofessionalism of the manager! Posted same pancake before sending back and when it came out.
