I love Golden fox but you just lost a star for this. 15.95 for 9 fried shrimp is advertised even says so on the receipt but I only received 6 shrimp besides that everything was delicious I loved it but not cool on kid napping my 3 shrimps.

Definitely not the old Golden Fox! Food was ok. We had like 5 different waitresses keep coming to our table after we said we're all SET!! Don't know if it was one of the new owners but a gentleman was in the back and just STARING!!! SCANNING the room. Gave me and my guest the creeps. The memory changed. It was empty at almost 10:30 on a Sunday am!! I was disappointed to say the least.

First time here, the restaurant seemed clean but roaches on the wall aren't ever a great sign. The food was okay. Inexpensive. Our server was great. I probably won't be back, but overall I've had far worse dining experiences in Rochester.

The food came fast. It was average. The waitresses were nice but not very attentive as far as coming back to see if you needed anything, unless it was coffee. My water glass stayed empty. I ordered soft cooked bacon, and it was stiff. I asked the waitress if I could get it softer. She said yes. Took the hard bacon and returned in seconds with another order of bacon. It was soft like I liked it, but not hot, not even warm. That was my experience.

Special instructions never seem to make it to the cook (or the cook ignores them), otherwise ... it's a fine neighborhood diner.

I absolutely loved the variety of the menu, just because they have options I've never seen before, I had the fried fish breakfast plate and it was delicious. The service was fast, however the staff had a heavy workload. The servers were doing their best, but they looked tired and drained. The place looked outdated and kind of dusty. Tables weren't the best, the cushion of out booth was ripped and uncomfortable. Silverware was clean, cups were clean and there was no shortage of napkins like in other places. The atmosphere wasn't to my liking, I guess I'm used to quiet places. Don't be discouraged by my review and visit, like I mentioned before, items on the menu are very different and delicious. As for me I won't be returning for dining but will be ordering "to go" meals. Give it a try!

We have come here regularly for 5 years and it used to be great. The new owner has created an unpleasant atmosphere, he walked around refilling ketchups with a firearm clearly visible. At best, this is obviously very poor taste and a total misunderstanding of the clientele. He spoke poorly to us about his current and former staff, who all seemed inexperienced and on edge. They use a handheld POS to take your order which also harshes the cozy diner vibe. On top of that, the food isn’t as good and the prices have gone up. Bummer.

I have been coming here for a few years and the food has been great. However, they've recently changed their menu and the prices on the menu are ringing up differently than the machine they use for payment. For example, my breakfast item was $8.95 but on their printed receipt, it displays at $9.22 before taxes. My husband's food was $13.95 but on the printed receipt it was almost $2 difference. Not to mention, they also charge more of you're paying my credit card. Very disappointed in this and will not be coming back.

expensive disgusting food. kitchen was out of a bunch of stuff. they forgot to make half of our meals. terrible service. the soda was even gross. will never go back.

I use to love to eat here a couple of years ago but I certainly was disappointed this passed Monday 6/5/23. The waitress never took my order or my 89 year old mother. The waitresses were busy filling people’s coffee cups, conversing with others. One waitress was behind the counter eating her lunch and not once looked our way. I felt these waitresses were deliberately ignoring us, for whatever reason I do not know. Racists I believe. Well we will never ever go to The Golden Fox again. It’s a shame how things change for the worst. I’ll just go to Parkside Restaurant which the people are friendly and treat their customers like they would want to be treated. All my friends and family members will switch over to Parkside restaurant also. Your loss not ours. I’m posting a photo of the delicious breakfast my mom and granddaughter had at The Parkside Diner. 😤
