Fantastic empanadas! Put in our order online about an hour before they closed and the food was ready as expected about 30 min later when we showed up. We had to navigate our way around the ridiculous In-n-Out line to get into the parking lot. The line at In-n-Out seemed even more ridiculous when we got home and tried the empanadas. They're so good, it is hard to imagine why anyone would go to the burger drive through next door when you could have these instead. Some of the best food we've had in this area, and it will have me looking for similar places back home (and probably failing to find anything as good). Our favorites were the ham & cheese, al pastor, and blue berry cobbler. We'll definitely be returning.
The food is fantastic, tasty, high quality, and legit. The chimichurri is slightly modified to stick to the empanada and is a nice touch that compliments the great food. The owners are super nice and easy going! Absolutely recommended for empanada lovers and people who are interested in trying this food for the first time.
I tried Vinoma for lunch based on an online article. True to the information in the article the restaurant indeed is in a shared building with a Shell gas station. However, you should not be turned off by this. When I pulled up, I was greeted by the owner, Brian, who described the menu offerings and assisted by taking my order. Ten minutes later his son delivered my order in a "pizza box" with a fresh flower on top. Inside the box were some of the most delicious sweet and savory empanadas I have tasted outside of Buenos Aires. Give Vinoma a try; you won't regret it! Note: the dining room is still closed to the public, though there are a few outdoor tables available. Most people, and there was a line, ordered as "takeout".
I heard about Vinoma and was in the area on a few road trips but couldn't make it work so I was excited on this trip to be able to stop and give them a try. No inside service but you can either order online and pick up or like me arrive and Brian was wonderful explaining how it worked, took my order and they bring your order out to your car for you. Nice touch they deliver with a flower Super quick service, it took me longer just perusing the menu and trying to pick the assortment. A regular here pulled up after me and said if it's your first time order them all or close your eyes & pick, either way you can't go wrong. They have an assortment of empanadas (meat, vegetarian, dessert, breakfast) Ordered: Meat 📍 Traditional Beef (couple) 📍 Ham & Cheese Vegetarian 📍 Creamy Corn 📍 Caprese Dessert 📍 Apple Crisp We cut them up so we could sample them all, so wonderful
This place is awesome! I heard about this from our local news outlet and had to come try it. I was very impressed with the quality and variety of tapas available. The al-pastor with the sauces and grilled pineapple is my favorite. And even if you're not a dessert person, you have to try the blueberry, it's out of this world good! The cheesy ones do sometimes leak cheese out when hearing at home. Only cook them from frozen to reduce this issue. You can buy them frozen and cook them later at home. The day I was there, they put a flower on every box of a dozen. So sweet! 😋
No dine in, take out through a closed door As a snack 1-2 was good. If we wanted to fill up at least 3-4, they weren't that big Tasty hot pastries. My picky child really enjoyed the bacon plum. I liked the spinach. The cheese steak and the al pastor weren't bad. The corn one was the mildest, it was a lot better with the green sauce The blueberry dessert one was a bit drippy, watch out for stains It's a gas station parking lot with a few tables on the side
Thumbs up! Delicious empanadas! Haven't found a better empanada in the state. The gentleman who runs this business is so kind, and he knows the cultural importance of the empanada. There is plenty of variety within common dietary restrictions. All orders are for takeout. There are tables and chairs outside that can be utilized for dining on site. They have made it easy to order online through the Toast platform. I am so glad to have learned about this spot. I will be returning frequently.
Walk up, take out service. We got 15 of the empanadas. All the meat, vegetarian and dessert empanadas. Wow, they were amazing. No issues. The chicken pot pie was a little meh, but when you included the cranberry sauce, that went kinda crazy. My wife and I wish we lived closer! Prices are solid, depending on the quantity.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at how amazing the food here is! The best part was the customer service, especially given the pandemic. The empanadas are smaller than the pictures look, but good things must come in small packages because they were amazing. The dough they use is the best I've ever had; definitely recommend this and will be coming back.
Each box comes with a beautiful flower! (I just remembered that I had to take the picture). We ordered spicy beef, Alpastor, spinach artichoke, and Choripan Sandwich. The best one was the sausage and Mexican chimichurri sauce of the Choripan Sandwich. The chef, Brian, was terrific, and he explained each one and his story and passion for the fantastic Argentina bakeries. I will come to this place again.
Such a charming restaurant. The empanadas are delicious, especially the steak and cheese! The employee assisting us with our order was very friendly and accommodating. The owner was super friendly. The unique touch of adding home grown flowers to the order blew me away. Can’t wait to go back ❤️
Love this place, super delicious, extremely friendly staff. I'd order at least 5 items for one person. I ordered four and a drink and was still borderline hungry, but all the items were so good. Couldn't go inside, but someone was right up front to take orders. There were a few tables outside, but it is right next to a gas station so not the most amazing ambiance.
Absolutely phenomenal! The hype is real. Ham & cheese empanada: SO GOOD with gooey cheese and a really flavorful ham! Not your usual ham & cheese. Spicy beef empanadas: great seasonings with just a touch of heat. Tarts: buffalo (crazy good, a bit tangy with tons of savory) , spinach/artichoke (creamy perfection with loads of seasoning), plum/bacon (sweet and savory), al pastor (the sauces really make it), and a dessert blueberry cobbler. Each was absolutely mind-blowing. The crust was so fluffy and light, and the fillings extremely flavorful. Husband says it's now his favorite spot in Santa Rosa. We just finished and already want to place a second order. Going to try their sandwich next. (Also the box comes with a fresh flower. Nice little touch :D)
When I heard that you could get seriously good empanadas at a rando gas station in Rohnert Park, I laughed - you got to be kidding me. Well, I stand corrected - the hype about Vinoma Tapas Argentinas is real...these are seriously good empanadas. When I received the box of empanadas, I thought "okay, these are tiny", but DANG these are frickin' good. The crust is light and flaky, the fillings are delightful, and the service is fantastic. Because the interior restaurant is closed, everything must be taken to go. You can order the empanadas online so they're ready when you arrive, or if you happen to arrive there without ordering, there is someone who will open the door and take the order for you - it only takes about 15 minutes for them to heat up the empanadas so they're ready to eat. There are a lot of flavors to choose from, so come hungry - you'll want to try them all!
Insanely good, handmade Argentinian hand pies. Every flavor was delicious and the bulk combo (discount for ordering 12 or more) is a great deal. Favorite flavors were the al pastor pork with salsa verde, buffalo chicken, and seasonal peach cobbler. The owner was so kind, helped us choose flavors, and even included a fresh flower (or 5!) with your order. Skip the In N Out next door and eat here instead!
I ordered a variety of (al pastor, beef, steak and cheese, plum/bacon, apple crisp and blueberry) All the tapas were well made with quality items. I took the owners suggestion and got a lot of them due to there small size. If you come here, they have minimal seating outside, which is on a busy street, this is not a sit down business but a take out. I will come back again and try the take and cook at home items next time. Fantastic owner and very kind and attentive, I will come back again
Omgosh! I'm ADDICTED TO EVERYTHING ON THIS MENU !🥰🥰🥰🥰 Only one Request Please...Make some of the dishes Bigger....Like the Apple Crisp...Omgosh that dessert is to Die For. I would definitely pay double if the desserts were 1/2 size more ❣️ (On the take out menu they give you when you receive your order, on the Apple Crisp picture I thought it was a black sharpie X as if they were out of that selection,; but its actually Cinnamon Sticks 😄) The owners are super sweet too 🥰
very interesting spot! it’s more of a pick up location than a dine in restaurant. it’s also right next to / connected(?) to a gas station. i’m not saying these things in a negative way — just an observation. i had placed an order online and was coming from out of town (stockton) to pick up my empanadas. i called to let them know i was going to be late, and they were soooo incredibly kind. i believe it was the owner who answered my call, but they were so kind and told us to drive safe, etc., because it was a rainy day. for the actual empanadas — fresh, juicy, flavorful, and packed! i ate these in a less than ideal situation (my partner and i ate these while driving). despite this, we were so impressed after each bite. we ordered: - traditional beef - spicy beef - steak and cheese - buffalo chicken - blueberry cobbler we didn’t try the blueberry cobbler until a few hours later, and it was still so delicious. if ever in the area again, we will DEFINITELY stop by. :)
🥟 Absolutely The Best Empanadas Out There! Vinoma Tapas Argentinas is an absolute must-visit destination. The highlight of the entire menu, in my opinion, are their empanadas—they are genuinely the best I have ever had. They are cooked to flaky perfection, filled with incredibly flavorful ingredients, and are worth the visit on their own. 🍽️ Delicious & Authentic Argentinian Tapas Beyond the standout empanadas, the restaurant offers a fantastic selection of other authentic Argentinian tapas. Every dish we tried was very well-prepared, showcasing traditional flavors and high-quality ingredients. It's a wonderful opportunity to explore the richness of Argentinian cuisine right here. 🌟 Overall Experience & Recommendation From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the service was efficient and friendly. The combination of exceptional food quality and an overall pleasant dining setting makes this place truly special. If you have any appreciation for empanadas or are looking for authentic, top-tier Argentinian food, this spot is well worth a visit and easily earns a five-star rating. I will definitely be returning!
The best empanadas around! Quality ingredients, very tasty and the staff is great. You won’t be disappointed! I ate a couple on the way home, so no pictures ☹ but I will say, I reheated what I couldn’t eat on my way home, and they still tasted amazing.
We stopped by here on our errands day in Rohnert Park and we were so glad with our empanadas! Top quality and amazing service. It was a memorable food experience — highly recommend the traditional beef, corn, and spicy beef.
This place is the real deal! The owners are so warm and welcoming and really want to bring affordable and quality Argentinean empanadas to Sonoma County. I’d give them more stars if I could! You can call in/order online or, order for to go at their shop. Always hits the spot!
A hidden gem, sharing a space with a gas station, right next to the freeway…what it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for with quality of food and friendly service. I got the Beef & Cheese, Al Pastor, special Chicken Pot Pie, and Peach Cobbler empanadas, and was pleasantly surprised, and impressed with every thing! Will definitely be back again!
Instant fan - not only of the best Empanadas I’ve ever eaten (fresh ingredients and quick service), but of Brian and the care behind my experience … and fresh flowers to top it off? Vinoma is built different. This is a must for any Bay Area run.
A Hidden Gem in Sonoma County! Don’t let the location fool you—this place is a total find. The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The person who took our order suggested we get about four each, and he wasn’t wrong. We ended up getting a dozen and I could have easily eaten six myself! We started by trying one of each flavor, which was a great way to explore the menu. Every single one was tasty, though we’ve definitely picked some favorites now. And don’t skip the desserts—they’re just as amazing. We’ll definitely be back!
This spot is attached to a Shell gas station, very close to the Graton Casino. You have to ring the bell at the door to let them know you are either there to pick up or place an order to go. They do not offer indoor dining, but there are 3 patio tables with umbrellas. The empanadas were all deliciously soft and flaky. We sat outside to enjoy them while they were fresh out of the oven. We ordered both savory and sweet empanadas and wished we had ordered the entire menu because everything we had was so good. Our favorites were the blueberry, peach, plum and bacon, spicy beef, steak and cheese, and vegan curry tofu. Also, their chimichurri sauce was so good that I regret not ordering the 8oz. to take home for steaks. I would definitely make the drive back out from the East Bay for these again.
We came here for empanadas. The store only took to-go orders, but the staff was very friendly - she gave us good recommendations and delivered the order to our car so that we didn't have to stand and wait in front of the store. Each empanada was around $3.8, and they're pretty packed with fillings and I was full after eating 2-3 empanadas. I got the plum bacon, buffalo chicken, and spinach and cheese empanadas to try. The buffalo chicken one was the best in terms of flavor, the spinach and cheese was a classic, and the plum bacon was an interesting mix of sweet and savory.
Wonderful little family run Tappas restaurant, currently dine in isn't an option due to covid restrictions but they have a beautiful restaurant with ample seating indoors. Simple menu with great dishes. My favorites were the Steak and Cheese, Spicy Beef, and the little apple pie and blueberry tarts are incredible. My husband and I ate here several times while we visited the area and always were given a warm welcome and quick service. They top the experience off with homegrown and dried flowers which are so beautiful. I've actually kept all of the flowers we received and made a beautiful decoration of them. Definitely will be back.
Can't believe I finally got to hit this place on a road trip up from SF to Fort Bragg! This place was on the list of top places to go in the bay area and it did not disappoint. Good: - Really solid empanadas and tarts - I liked almost everything that I ate, and it was all so fresh - my faves were the plum and bacon, the spicy beef, and the buffalo chicken ones - so much flavor packed into such a small packet - We liked it so much that we placed a second order - Cheap - super affordable and definitely get a dozen or more! - The staff are super nice, they came out to ask questions and shared how to eat Bad: - Wasn't a fan of the corn cheese or the apple crisp ones - they didn't feel as special and were blander Overall what a cool pit stop! Added no time to our trip and what a unique place.
Amazing empanadas!! So many different kinds from authentic to vegan, and all unique flavors. Desserts and drinks too. Interesting location adjacent to a gas station but the food will impress. Family ran by a super nice family. They even give you fresh flowers with your order. Seating is only outdoor and limited. Every time you’re in the area, you must go here! Order more than you think you want.
Fabulous. Mine and my husband's 1st time and we ordered plenty. 18 items exactly, lol. So glad we did as wow, phenomenal! One of the owners, husband came out and spoke to us, very kinda. Yep still hot when we got to Windsor. Will be back! Delicious. Oh and each order you get a beautiful flower they grow just for there customers. This is only half of our order we've tried. Dinners gonna be lovely again!
Yummy and unique flavors! They are super busy so make sure you order in advance. Staff was super helpful and I will drop by whenever I’m in the neighborhood. Note there’s no indoor seating, only a few tables outside, and is right next to the shell gas station.
My GF and I tried Vinoma Tapas for the first time after hearing good things from a friend. They did not disappoint. The variety of food was astonishing. The individual flavor of each item was characterized with such creativity and love for food. The owner was one of the most positive persons I've met who truly enjoys what he does. You're missing out of don't try Vinoma Tapas. The bacon/plum and Blueberry were at the top of my list.

Outstanding quality, check for any off menu items. Great chef, passionate about food! Take out with a few patio seats, just to know. Looking forward to working through the entire menu.

Fantastic empanadas! Wonderful combination of flavors. The creamy corn is my favorite. Plum bacon, al pastor, spicy beef are equally delicious. Enjoy!!
This place is a gem. Family run, SUPER good food, located super conveniently. The location is casual (shared location with a shell station) so I recommend ordering pickup or frozen unless you're down for more of a street food vibe. They do catering and events as well. Wide variety of flavors in both sweet and savory. Give it a try! Would be awesome for hosting a big party.
This place is the tops! Whenever I head north on the US-101 through Rohnert Park, I pre-order a dozen before I leave the house. You can’t eat inside of the place, but they have some cute patio seating or you can just eat it in your car. They’ll deliver it right out to your car too, by the way. Super convenient.

We saw all the great reviews and decided to give Vinoma a try. We expected something “extraordinary”, but unfortunately, it did not turn out that way. First, we were surprised to find there was no indoor seating, and that someone comes out of the door to take your order. It felt strange. Plus, the restaurant shares a parking lot with a gas station. We ordered a dozen: 2 TRADITIONAL BEEF, 2 STEAK & CHEESE, 2 HAM & CHEESE, 2 BUFFALO CHICKEN, 2 AL PASTOR, 2 SPICY BEEF. Our favorite was the Al Pastor. The ham and cheese ones were too salty, and all the rest were either just ok or simply not to our liking. Overall, we were disappointed. We thought we were going to enjoy it based on all the good reviews, but in reality, we were forcing ourselves to finish the food. We honestly don't understand why this place has so many good reviews, maybe we are missing something, or maybe it just wasn't a good day for them.
