Bellissima scoperta nel centro di Bormio. Ci siamo stati ai primi di Febbraio, come regalo di compleanno da parte del mio ragazzo. Non si tratta del classico ristorante tipico valtellinese, ma offre una varietà di piatti tipicamente piemontesi. I piatti scelti, dall'antipasto al dolce veramente buoni e porzioni giuste. Bellissima l'idea dell'enoteca dentro al ristorante, con la possibilità di accedervi e scegliere personalmente cosa bere, accompagnati da un esperto. Ottimo e attento il Servizio.

Abbiamo trovato questo ristorante per puro caso grazie a tripadvisor. Non ci aspettavamo granchè, ma avevamo molta fame, e su 2 ristoranti dove volevamo cenare, tutti erano al completo. Intanto chiamando l’enoteca per chiedere se avevano due posti, Cristina (la proprietaria) ci ha risposto con estrema gentilezza e cordialità dicendoci che ci aspettava. Entrando nella corte si procede all’entrata dell’enoteca. Locale piccolo ma estremamente delizioso, minimal ma allo stesso tempo caldo, con un clima quieto e raffinato. Ci hanno fatto accomodare ci hanno servito un delizioso antipasto offerto dalla casa, Cristina ci ha accompagnato nella cantina dove ci ha spiegato tutto con estrema professionalità. Si è capito da subito che ama quello che ha costruito. Facendola breve, non ho mai assaggiato un tortino di fiori di zucca e tartufo più buono di quello! Anche il cervo come secondo era davvero eccezionale! Se capitate a Bormio per godervi le terme non può mancare una cena all’enoteca Guanella! Davvero complimenti a tutto il personale! Soprattutto a Cristina!

Tutto di grande qualità, studiato, ben impiattato, ovviamente grande scelta di vini, avendo il negozio allegato. Avendo un'allergia , ho apprezzato l'attenzione nel dirmi che avrebbero verificato ogni possibile contatto....un segno di vera attenzione al cliente. Enoteca Guanella is a place we truly love and always come back to. It’s a restaurant and wine shop with an intimate, cozy atmosphere, outstanding food, an incredible wine selection, and excellent service. We have visited this place several times over the years — not every day in a row, but once every few years — and what truly impresses us is that the quality of both the food and the service has never changed. It has always remained at a very high level. The wine selection is simply breathtaking. One very special feature of this enoteca is that you can come just to buy wine from their collection — wines you would never find in a regular supermarket. Or, during dinner, you can choose any bottle they have in stock — wine, Prosecco, Champagne — and enjoy it with your meal by paying only €10 extra on top of the retail price. This is such a rare and wonderful concept. The wines are truly exceptional. We ordered a Sicilian wine from 2014, and it was absolutely magical. I personally adore wines from Southern Italy — Puglia and Sicily — but what they offer here is on another level: real exclusives that simply must be tried. We even bought the same bottle to take home, and it turned out to be the very last one they had. Special thanks to Cristina for the excellent service and for helping us choose both the wine and the dishes — her recommendations were perfect. Another highlight worth mentioning is their organic olive oil. It is served at the table, and you can also buy it to take home. We do this every single time we visit. Whenever we return to Bormio, we will absolutely come back here again. Thank you very much — highly recommended!

A beautiful place in the heart of Bormio. Great selection of food and wine, honest service and excellent customer care. I visited Enoteca Guanella with friends and overall had a great experience. The food was delicious, the atmosphere charming and the staff very attentive. There was a small error on the bill that I didn't notice until the next day when I was elsewhere. I contacted the restaurant and they handled the situation in a completely professional manner - they responded quickly, apologized and refunded the amount claimed. You rarely see such honesty and customer care. I really appreciate their fair approach and clear communication. Next time I'm in Bormio, I will definitely be back - and I highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates great atmosphere, quality food and sincere service.

Months before arriving to the restaurant I wrote to Cristina about arranging a 60th birthday celebration for my husband. She was amazing and so communicative. When we arrived in Bormio we went to see her to discuss the evening. She recommended red wine, Prosecco, and dessert wine to pair with our dinner. We sat in our own private room. The entire experience was Devine. The service was impeccable, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive and THE FOOD!! The food was amazing. Cristina’s husband is the chef and what a chef he is. It truly was an extremely special experience. When in Bormio, please do not miss out on the opportunity to dine here. FIVE STARS!

Lovely restaurant, great food and excellent service. I had the octopus while my wife had the baked ricotta with caramelised onion. I chose the beef cooked in Barolo, wife had sea bream. Both delicious. Desserts very good, particularly the muscat with grappa. Perfetto.

Had an amazing dinner celebrating my friends’ 14yrs anniversary. We all went for the deer fillet, which was amazing. Being all on the medium well side, the waiter recommended taking it medium to fully enjoy the flavour and texture. The dish was absolutely delicious. We paired it with a local Sauvignon, 2022 vintage, which paired amazingly well with the sauce the meat was served/ cooked in. For desserts, we highly recommend the meringue, as well as the framboise liqueur we had as digestive. Worth mentioning that you get to visit their wine cellar, have a chat with the sommelier and pair your food with the best wine in the house. Great service and a very friendly warm atmosphere.

The food was delicious! One of the best food we've ever had. The service is great! Only thing: We actually liked the idea, we could choose our wine from the enoteca. But then you pay the cork fee (extra to the price of the wine bottle) and the service only pours the wine the first time. Afterwards we had to pour our wine ourselves. Normally, I am okay with that, but when you already pay the cork fee, then I have the expectation to be served.. BUT otherwise, the service was phenomenal!!

As I'm a old lover of Valtellina Valley, and the TV show 4Ristoranti move to Bormio and Livigno, I thought it was a good idea to try the restaurant involved in the game. La Guanella is a great place. Nice situation, wonderful dishes (really top experience), great wine selection, good service and reasonable price for the situation. The only sin: a mistake with the order, but (waiting a little bit) everything was settled for the best.

Best to describe the experience you are looking for and see what is recommended. The food was very good. Deer Fusilli and slow cooked Cod perfectly prepared. Finished with a Sacher torte which was a good representation but I would have preferred the hard chocolate on the top only, not all sides (traditional). Most definitely a strong recommendation. Posto molto bello e curato all’interno, con personale gentile e cordiale. Purtroppo però il cibo non è stato all’altezza delle aspettative. Ho ordinato l’anatra e, considerando il prezzo (30 euro), mi aspettavo una qualità decisamente superiore: le porzioni erano molto ridotte (quattro fettine) e la carne risultava piuttosto dura. È stata una delusione, soprattutto perché anche gli altri commensali al tavolo hanno avuto la stessa impressione con altre pietanze. Da un locale di questo livello ci si aspetta di più, soprattutto in rapporto al costo.

I have missed feelings about the place. I definitely praise the culinary effort of the chef introducing Piemontese cuisine in Valtellina using excellent ingredients (even if honestly charging 23€ for two slices of brasato, sempre di ottima qualità(!), is too much to my opinion). The tartar of fassone is excellent, vitello tonnato is one of the best I’ve ever eaten. The pastas are good too. The wines are excellent and this is why I give three stars. The service is the worst. I definitely think they should reprimand (or better lay off) the girl with the blond ponytail. Even if she sees and hears you, she still ignores you. The first evening we dined here, I had to send my pasta back twice to be reheated as it arrived completely cold to the table. Once I sent it back for the second time and asked the blond girl about the status of it, she just said“Non ho una minima idea”, ie “I don’t have a slightest idea”. I was shocked by her answer to say the least. I thought for the moment we were dining somewhere in France 🤣. The Italians are famous for being best at restaurant service but this girl is definitely a rotten apple :). I can’t say much about their desserts either. The bunet was stinking of almond extract a mile away when it is supposed to have hazelnuts in it. On our second night we ordered Sacher but little we knew that they don’t bake it at the restaurant but order from Pozzi pasticceria next door. Needless to say, we sent it back. At Pozzi you pay 3,80€ and 8€ by them. It is not about the price though. I think this is even against the law. They buy cake from Pozzi, they serve it along with one (!) raspberry (and not “on the bed of frutti di bosco” like the menu mentions) and they don’t even put the name of Pozzi on the menu, ie Torta Sacher di Pozzi! If you decide to dine here, choose a bottle of wine with the help of the enoteca owner (he really knows his stuff!), try to avoid the blond girl, specify you want your pasta hot 🤣 and avoid Sacher Cake or bunet for dessert
