Mangiare pesce di fronte al Colosseo è già di per sé estremamente suggestivo. Se a ciò aggiungi un menù ricco e raffinato, il personale disponibile e gentilissimo il risultato non può che essere un pranzo eccellente. Consigliatissimo.

Just wonderful! Even for someone who's been coming to Italy for decades, it's easy to get overehelmed by the wealth of culinary treasures. Everything was absolutely exquisite and the waiters truly shined in helping us choose the right drinks and dishes so that everyone got exactly what they craved. Some of us just wanted a bite, others were starving, and finding a bottle that everyone truly liked is usually really difficult. We had a mix of raw appetizers, homemade pasta, and catch of the day, all of which delicious, but I have to say that the best past was the dessert. Their tiramisu, which they assembled tableside, was something truly special. I am proud of my own but it doesn't come even close. In short, we all left happy and will be returning before long!

Risotto cotto a crudo was something special. The lobster pasta was also first class. The High quality was very welcome given the proximity to the tourist areas. Good wine selection out door seating was comfortable and the street quiet. Staff was warm and welcoming.

Had a planned dinner at Crab with some friends of mine in October of '25. Went there due to their reviews and ratings and felt they were legit (often not the case in Italy). And they turned out to be well deserved. We had a really beautiful meal. Great seafood. I had the lobster pasta (an Italian staple on most menus) and they had done a much better job than most places. We also shared the cooked shellfish feast (a raw offering was also available). It was very good. A friend had the Sea Bass and another spent most of his time eating what he referred to as the best oysters he had ever eaten. The food was among the best we had eaten in Rome and the service was at the level you usually have to pay twice as much for your meal to receive. Probably had one of the best tiramisus I'd ever had. It wasn't the usual cup of pudding you get in most places. It was more of a pastry offering and it was impressive. Sorry for the lack of photos. The food looked and smelled so good that we dove right in and didn't think to take pictures till it was too late. Good extensive wine list with some reasonably priced options for the less discerning.

There's no doubt that the food here is excellent. You can read 100 reviews about that! I'm here to talk about the service. Initially we had a male server who was quite...overbearing, then we encountered Jasmine, she was quite shy at first but quickly became one of my favorite servers in Rome! She was charming in her manner and had a brilliant sense of humor and what i would consider fluent in English!!!! I'd ordered the cod stuffed squid(10/10) but couldn't remember exactly what was in it after and asked her! The way she described the dish was very knowledgeable, she knew it from top to bottom and described it in such a way that I was tempted to order another plate! I don't know how much she makes, but she definitely deserves more! Would recommend this restaurant and server for anybody looking for a great dinner near the coliseum

We’re very fussy with seafood and pasta usually, this place did not disappoint ! Excellent restaurant with beautiful seafood and excellent service. A must visit in Rome!

WOW!!! Thank you for such a lovely meal. I came by myself and enjoyed six different oysters to start. Then I got help from John Carl, the manager, on what to order for my main. He took me back to the tank and we chose my lobster together. He even asked me how I wanted it prepared. It came out exactly how I imagined and wanted it. The perfect amount of meat. I finished with two more of my favorite oysters from the initial 6. A big thank you to everyone that works at this restaurant, they were all so kind and attentive. I WILL be back next summer :)

The lobster was tender and rich, the oysters were as fresh as it gets, and everything else we ordered was equally impressive. The staff made the night even more special. Their service was warm, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell they take pride in what they do. The ambiance is elegant but inviting, an experience for both the eyes and the palate. What made it truly memorable, though, was sharing this incredible meal with good friends. The Crab Restaurant delivered on every level, quality, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Who says restaurants near major attractions must be scammy tourist traps! If you want something other than pasta and pizza, here's a good option. (They do have some pasta on the menu, but we were aiming for a low carb meal that day) The restaurant located near the Colosseum just around the corner on a side street. There's an outdoor dining area but we ate inside, fancy and traditional looking space. We ordered the cooked appetizer set, which was pricey but allowed us to try a lot of different dishes. And for the main we got mixed grilled seafood. The dishes were made competently, fresh ingredients. A satisfying meal to wrap up a fun trip to Italy.

I am delighted with the service! Great staff and what is important for me they did not come up and did not distract from the meal, but looked from the side whether it was necessary to come to us. We were advised oysters and they were magical! The staff - you are wonderful! Beautiful and cozy, there is a comfortable terrace outside. I recommend with all my heart.

This place was SO FABULOUS! What a great way to see the city. We sat in the deck and had a view of the coliseum and Jasmine was our waitress. Amazing service! The freshest seafood and had tiramisu made at our table!! So great!! Would recommend if wanting a seafood pasta or fresh seafood dinner in Rome!

Searched Google for a restaurant that did lobster before we came to Rome. Found two, chose this one, and boy am I glad I did. Birthday treat for my beloved as she loves lobster. This did not disappoint ! We swung by the day before to look and booked. Read the review and went here to try it out since my last night at Rome. Its superb and food served quite fast and starter and desert on the house by the chef. Perfect... The lobster pasta is tasty and fresh. Seafood soup also delicious and fresh. The octopus so soft. And white wine compliment well with the food. Price more to higher side, but it's worth it.

Was in the mood for seafood and came across Crab near the Colosseum. We made a reservation. The staff were super welcoming and efficient. We ordered the lobster pasta, the Sea bass, grilled veggies and tiramisu for dessert. All of it was delightful. I could always do more lobster haha but it was cooked perfectly and the lobster flavor was embedded in the pasta. The Sea bass was light and delicate served on a fluffy bed of mashed potatoes with artichokes and asparagus. The tiramisu was on the creamy side for me - not enough ladyfingers. Besides that, the overall experience was awesome! A good place for seafood while in Rome.

Buon ristarante a ridosso del Colosseo. L'arredo ed il servizio sono curati. Il personale è accogliente e cortese. Il menu a base di pesce offre piatti interessanti, buoni, ben presentati ed anche generosi nelle porzioni. I prezzi sono sopra la media.

Premessa: Non siamo turisti! Abbiamo mangiato dentro, solo ed esclusivamente per la temperatura, altrimenti, senza ombra di dubbio avremmo preferito la location esterna, ben curata e molto molto piacevole. Cibo ottimo, pesce fresco cucinato bene (diminuirei qualche salsa di troppo), dolci eccezionali, così come la vasta scelta dei vini. Il servizio eccellente, disponibile e con una cura al dettaglio d’altri tempi. Peccato per la location interna, un po’ troppo trasandata e poco curata, si vedono i segni del tempo…. Ci torneremo!

Great service, comfortable place. It’s really close to Colosseum so good place for lunch. Service was really good. We ordered the tempura with raspberry mayo for appetizer and it was so good! For mains, we got the Crab Pasta and Shrimp Pasta with Black Garlic sauce. Presentation was perfect. Taste-wise, both were okay - not as good as the appetizer though. Will still recommend if you’re in the area and craving for seafood.

Penseresti che per quella cifra il cuoco sappia come chiarificare il burro? No, invece l'aragosta è servita con maionese al lampone che ha un sapore orribile. Non è uno scherzo, ma dovrebbe esserlo! Avoid. The only positive is that the fish is fresh. Everything else is rubbish. We ordered the mixed fish platter for €120. You'd think the chef would know how to clarify butter for that price? No, instead the lobster was served with raspberry mayonnaise, which tastes awful. It's not a joke, but it should be!
