I visited the restaurant with my daughter, because we were staying at the Rhinoceros hotel. As it was raining and quite cold, we sat inside. The venue was lovely, we loved the Christmas decorations, the view was splendid, despite the late hour, and the room was nicely arranged. We decided on having the mushroom truffle ravioli, and roasted pumpkin and then a hazelnut and meringue desert to share. Every part of the meal was amazing, we loved the taste. The plates were gorgeous as well as delicious, which is rarely seen. The service was similarly fantastic, we felt incredibly taken care of, and felt very comfortable. We were very surprised when a complementary appetiser, a mushroom soup, was brought out before the vast selection of bread. The soup was lovely, with a smooth consistency and something crunchy I didn’t quite catch the name of, adding something interesting to the texture. The breads were great as well, with some good quality olive oil, we later found out they were home baked. Although I ordered a desert for only my daughter, I was surprisingly given some delicious yogurt ice cream with a special sauce and some waffle pieces. (Frankly, might be some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had) It was a testament to the dedication of the restaurant to satisfy their guests. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our dinner, from the venue, the staff, the atmosphere, to the amazing food itself. Thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Such a beautiful location to lounge for drinks and food. My only advice, beware of the seagulls, annoying and a little aggressive, the staff did give us a water gun, which was actually fun, anytime they got close it was a water fight hahaha On the bright side, the staff was very friendly and hospitable, the snacks and drinks were very well made and the food was delicious.

Excellent rooftop bar with a great view of the city. The cocktails are well-crafted and perfectly balanced, and they have some excellent non-alcoholic cocktail options as well. Some complain about the drink price but considering the quality and the provided tapas style snacks it’s actually a decent value, certainly not something to complain about. The staff were remarkably friendly, professional and accomodating. This spot will be a definite return visit for us!

The service alone is with coming to this place! As well as the chic outdoor decor on the rooftop. This is definitely a special occasion place. The atmosphere and service are both excellent. The food was good, although there were several things with veggies that were not in season which is rare in Italy. I do wish I’d gotten a photo of the Parmesan donut? It was so good and not at all what I expected! The wine list will make *sure* you pay for that view so be ready to spend no less than €75 for any bottle - at least that’s how much the Calafuria (a delicious rosato that I’ve never paid more than €50 for at a restaurant - and regularly see it for €25). We went with a Franciacorta rosato since we were celebrating and it *was* superb. All that being said, I would 100% go back again (and again!).

Premessa: molte recensione non fanno giustizia al ristorante. Se volete provare il RoofBar questa recensione non fa per voi. Siamo stati in questa meravigliosa terrazza con il mio compagno per festeggiare il mio compleanno a inizio luglio. Dopo aver confermato un’iniziale prenotazione e letto pessime recensioni abbiamo cancellato il tavolo. Incuriositi abbiamo prenotato qualche settimana dopo e ci siamo sorpresi: Ristorante buono, personale attento e cortese, piatti di alta qualità dove emerge la personalità ed esperienza dello chef. Terrazza 360 pazzesca e le foto non rendono assolutamente lo spettacolo meraviglioso che Roma ci ha regalato. Consigliato.

Buona la preparazione cocktail (2 su 3 di quelli preparati al nostro tavolo) e ben presentati. Servizio attento e cortese. Buona l’offerta del cibo in accompagnamento al cocktail. Piacevole la vista dalla terrazza.

VIsta da brividi in questa terrazza . Il direttore del hotel ci ha accompagnato al ristorante, purtroppo viene gestito esternamente e non dalle stesse persone del hotel. Menù un pò pretenzioso, antipasto carpaccio un pò duro, primo con tagliolini ai pistacchi e gamberi, un pò un mappazzone , gnocchi con vongole non con il guscio ma piccole (sembravano quelle in barattolo). Cheese cake buona. Servizio cordiale e preciso. Cantina dei vini buona.

Arte. É questa l'esperienza che si può vivere in una serata al Rhinoceros. E la si può vivere su tre piani : culinaria, pittorica e storica. Roma ai tuoi piedi che si stende davanti agli occhi con i suoi monumenti illuminati da una storia millenaria. Arte pittorica o scultorea che la Fondazione Fendi permette di ammirare(ieri sera c'era una mostra su Picasso, con esposizione di una sua opera pittorica). E poi culinaria. Il ristorante ha pochissimi tavoli. I piatti sono presentati molto bene. Ho gustato un antipasto di salmone marinato al pepe rosa e rale su letto di ricotta di bufala e cetrioli. Molto delicato e fresco. Poi un filetto al pepe verde, molto buono anche con una cottura lunga, come da me richiesto, era morbido e saporito. Infine i dolci : una Ile flotante. È poi la discesa dal ristorante sul roof al piano terra è ancora una visita di architettura moderna.

We visited Rhinoceros Le Restau & Terraces while in Rome and made the walk from the Colosseum ~ be warned, it’s quite a trek and a bit tricky to find, as the entrance is somewhat tucked away and up the street. The building and elevator gave off a slightly unfinished vibe, which left us wondering if that was intentional. The bathroom was also very small and felt out of place considering the upscale pricing. A note of caution: canceling the same day of your reservation will result in an €80 penalty, so plan ahead! Upon arrival, we were first given menus without prices ~ which felt odd and uncomfortable. We had to request new ones just to know what we were actually ordering. That said, there were some lovely surprises. The complimentary chickpeas with crispy barley and a selection of fresh bread and olive oil were a nice touch from the chef. Our mains, lasagna and pasta with tuna, were good (though portion sizes were modest). My pasta was a bit too salty for my liking. The standout of the night was the prosecco ~ absolutely the best I’ve ever had! I wish I had asked about the winemaker. My mom’s dessert, a chocolate cake with cream and fresh berries, was delightful. Service-wise, it felt lacking. I understand European dining norms don’t include frequent check-ins, but for a place associated with Michelin-starred Aroma, I expected a bit more attention. After walking for an hour to get there, we waited quite a while for water and food, and once our meals arrived, no one came by to check in. One major downside: the terrace, while beautiful, allowed guests to smoke right next to us. As someone sensitive to cigarette smoke, this was really off-putting and affected the overall enjoyment. All in all, this is a stylish and picturesque restaurant with some solid dishes, a fantastic glass of prosecco, and great views ~ but a few service and atmosphere quirks hold it back from being truly exceptional. A solid 3.5 to 4-star experience.

Stylish rooftop bar with comfortable seating, outdoor heaters available which is an extra bonus. Staff very attentive and genuinely care that you have a good experience. Cocktails are exciting& served beautifully. Pricey but worth it. The complimentary tapas is a lovely touch. Would return.

The menu offers a very limited selection of food items, which was disappointing given the variety available at nearby restaurants. The seating was uncomfortable, making it hard to relax and enjoy the meal. Unfortunately, the service was also lacking—our server struggled to remember a simple order for two people, resulting in mistakes and delays. With so many excellent alternatives in the area, I can’t recommend this place. The quality of the food didn’t stand out, especially considering the higher standards and better options available close by. Overall, a frustrating experience that fell short of expectations.

location e servizio eccellenti. purtroppo la cucina è poco più che pessima. gnocchi duri, tagliatelle fredde con pesto che sembrava in barattolo, crema del tiramisu densa e stoppacciosa, in generale cibo sciapo.

Pagato 66€ per 2 persone: 2 cocktail poco generosi in quantità, stuzzichini e due pizzette. Vista non entusiasmante. Ps. non ci hanno portato neanche due fazzoletti

Esperienza da non ripetere. Non tornerò più. Ero già stato all’inaugurazione , torno, e ritrovo un locale completamente diverso. Non avevano noccioline, patatine bagnate e quando chiedo di cambiarle mi dicono essere finite. Chiediamo una pizza e se la perdono, arrivando dopo 40min dopo averglielo ricordato. Peccato, data la vista incredibile.

Highly recommend if you want to pay $16 USD for a bottle of cheap lager, and be swarmed by wasps while you’re trying to eat. We couldn’t finish our meal comfortably as a result. Extremely overpriced, more so than any tourist trap restaurants we’ve seen near the major sights in Rome, although the dishes themselves were enjoyable.

Beautiful location but just grab a drink. Definitely pass on the food, very expensive and equally bland. All the pasta dishes we had were equally tasteless. Desserts were good. Feel bad for the staff as they were all very nice but they should definitely change chef!

Siamo arrivati oggi per un aperitivo, sono una food blogger e volevo consigliare il posto ai miei follower’s. Il servizio era pessimismo!! Abbiamo aspettato un ora per l’ordine . Abbiamo preso un bicchiere di vino bianco -18 euro , una Coca Cola -15 euro Il gabbiano che stava lì e saltato sul nostro piatto e ha preso il cibo con lui. Non abbiamo ricevuto un altro Piato nuovo di cibo . Abbiamo ordinato la pizza margherita!! Una vengono!! Proprio una vergogna! 15 euro!! E arrivata fredda!! Poi e arrivata già tagliata e come forse qualcuno ha preso un pezzo dalla pizza ( c’è una foto ) Il carpaccio non sembrava fresco aveva un colore scuro e strano non come deve essere!! Non ci tornerò mai!! E non consiglierò

La location è indubbiamente suggestiva: terrazza con vista spettacolare su Roma e un edificio di grande pregio, frutto di una ristrutturazione firmata da un archistar. Purtroppo, però, l’esperienza al bar non è stata all’altezza delle aspettative né dei prezzi. Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti con l’informazione del costo dell’aperitivo a testa, ancora prima di poterci accomodare. Il servizio è stato poco attento e superficiale: alla mia richiesta di una variante gluten-free (sono celiaco), la risposta è stata “non lo so, abbiamo patatine e olive”. Poco dopo mi è stata servita una mini pizza, subito sconsigliata dallo stesso addetto perché non adatta. Inoltre, sul conto finale abbiamo trovato tre cocktail nonostante ne avessimo ordinati due. Probabilmente il terzo drink era l’“assaggio” di un amaro al carciofo proposto dal personale, ma in questo caso trovo scorretto che sia stato comunque addebitato. A Roma ci sono moltissime alternative di pari livello in termini di location, ma con un servizio decisamente più curato e rispettoso del cliente.

Disappointing Experience Despite Being Hotel Guests We were staying at the Rhinoceros Hotel, but unfortunately, the rooftop bar—despite being part of the same building—is managed separately and treated us with complete disregard. From the moment we arrived, the staff showed no courtesy or greeting. We ordered two Asahi beers and were charged €32, which is absurdly overpriced even for a rooftop in Rome. The main issue, however, was the behavior of the bar supervisor—a man with a mustache—who seemed to have a personal issue with us for reasons beyond comprehension. His attitude was hostile and unwelcoming, creating a really uncomfortable atmosphere. It felt like we were being judged or looked down on for no reason at all. We expected better service, especially as guests of the hotel. Would not recommend this place based on the poor treatment and unreasonable prices.

While strolling around the area we found that bar on google maps. We went to the reception and asked for a place to have some drinks and a snack. We were refused seating since we would not have a big meal but mainly drinks and that would not be enough spending. In some occasion I would understand it but the restaurant was rather empty and the person on that manages the entrance was rather unfriendly and arrogant. We were well dressed (better than the person refusing us the entrance, who was in a T-shirt and jeans), and the spending would be 40€+ for 60/90 minutes. Very disappointing.
