Had a wonderful first visit to House 157. The hostess was friendly, the music and atmosphere - top tier, and our waitress, Kenny, was great. We tried the Jamaican Mule, Shrimp and Corn Chowder, Rasta pasta and lamp chops. Would definitely order all again, but planning to return to try other menu items. 😊

First time here having brunch. Food was great - well seasoned & flavorful.had chicken & waffles & French toast & was delicious. Service was outstanding. Our waitress Imani was exceptional. She checked on us nonstop & gave great recommendations for menu items. Will definitely return.

We were warmly welcomed by the wait staff, all well dressed in the uniform. We were ushered into an upscale escape. It is a nice ambiance, modern but feels warm and comfortable like home. Our server was amazing 👏, diligent, and knowledgeable. Represented the DR well! The food was outstanding... from start to finish..chefs kiss! I will definitely spread the word, and I'll be back.

Monique was an amazing server. I had the oxtail ramen and my fiance had the fried chicken. Both were excellent.

This place is gorgeous inside, and the bartender is always fantastic. The food is full of flavor and beautifully presented. I live a few blocks away, and my boyfriend and I absolutely love coming here. As a vegetarian, they’ve customized meals for me, and they’ve done the same for my vegan daughter, they’re incredibly accommodating. The vibe is very chill. I do miss their Thursday karaoke nights, but everything else more than makes up for it. Oh and let’s not forever their delicious drinks.

Highly recommend. When I went I think there where 5 birthdays lol beautiful inside and good food and drinks. Everyone was kind. U can see their menu online.

The atmosphere and food was amazing and MONIQUE areas the BOMB!!! She took care with us as I have food allergies and she made sure to check with the chef! A must place to visit!!

Had A WONDERFUL time with Friends for a Birthday Dinner.. Our Server was pleasant, Drinks were Great.. Expansive Menu, great options.. The Southern Stuff was a little lacking (The Mac and Cheese and Fried Chicken was a bit underwhelming), but everything else inducing dessert was delicious! Will definitely return again!

Location is serene and is a vibe. Music is provided by a DJ, and the levels are bearable and chill. I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Will definitely come back.

Our server, Kimani, was amazing! Even with our larger party and a last-minute reservation after switching from another location, she was so attentive and accommodating. The food came out quickly, the drinks were on point, and she made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night. Kimani really made the experience smooth and enjoyable — excellent service all around!

Our server Imani was phenomenal! The atmosphere, drink, music, and overall ambience set the tone for an amazing night out with my girls . We will definitely return.

The space is very nice and the service is warm and welcoming. Loved the Southern Fried Chicken with Collard Greens and Mac and Cheese! Espresso Martinis are delicious. Tiana went above and beyond. There was a birthday celebration when I dined in. Coconut Shrimp seems popular. Stop in for drinks and dinner!

For starters, our server, Imani R. was AMAZING. She had great energy and took care of us from the time we sat until we left. She answered our questions about the menu choices. THE FOOOOOOD WAS SUPERB. I had the grilled lamb chops, mashed potatoes and asparagus. My plate was empty afterward. Now, 4 lamb chops was great, but like 5 would have been a tad better, lol. I will DEFINITELY be back (along with my friends)

Chandler was an amazing waitress! Made sure we are food was cooked to our liking. They sang happy birthday. They brought a brownie! My husband and I had the lamb chops it was so good. Also for starters we had the Thai glaze wingstaste so good! We will be coming back we want to try their brunch.

I can say one of the best experiences. The food was so good and such a beautiful setting, oh even the music i loved it !! I was taken care of by Tiana and the customer service was amazing !! Very friendly staff .. highly recommend ! I will be returning soon

My friends and I dined here for my birthday and we had an amazingggg time! From the appetizers to our main meals and sides, everything we ate was delicious and full of flavor. The vibe for a Saturday night was great as they had a DJ playing music. Our server Dennis was super attentive, kind and brought such good energy. Even other staff would often stop by our table to check-in or take empty plates. Wonderful experience here and we can’t wait to return!

Took my daughters to this restaurant for their first time after Easter Service and they absolutely loved it! The venue is super cute, the food was delicious and Chandler, our Server, was attentive and funny. Definitely coming back in the future!

Last night (12/13/25), we took my mom to celebrate her 76th birthday at this amazing restaurant, and I cannot express how fantastic our experience was! The food was outstanding! We ordered the red snapper, lamb chops, and fried chicken, and each dish was delicious and beautifully presented. We even found out that they went viral for their fried chicken, and I can definitely see why. The service was impeccable! The staff was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcomed and my mom felt very special during her celebration. They truly went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience. They also had a great selection of drinks to choose from, which perfectly complemented our meal. We drove over an hour to dine here, and it was absolutely worth it! This restaurant did not disappoint in any way, and I can’t wait to return again for another delicious meal. From the ambiance, the food, the music, and the vibes, 5 stars across the board! Thank you for making my mom’s birthday truly special!

We brought our team here for an appreciation brunch, and everything was absolutely excellent — from the food to the service to the overall vibe. The hostess was outstanding from the moment we walked through the door and made us feel genuinely welcomed. The owner, Faith, was warm and attentive and truly set the tone for a beautiful experience. Our waitress was kind and on point, and the bartender was fantastic as well. You can feel the care and intention behind every detail. OMG! The best meal I’ve had in a long time. We’re so happy we found this beautiful restaurant with great music and AMAZING food. The crab cakes, empanadas, fried chicken, Oxtail, Mac & Cheese, cornbread… it was all just perfect. Tiana is a kind, and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Imani R. Was amazing ....so beautiful and just a sweet girl....she was amazing to have as a server. The food was outstanding....definitely top 5. I am a serious foodie, so trust me I am a tough critic. When I say perfection...from the start to finish. Drinks amazing and music was out of this world. My husband and I dined here for the first time. We had an excellent experience from start to finish. The ambiance was so inviting and everything we ordered was well prepared and enjoyable. The service truly stood out to us. Our interaction with Kayla was quite pleasant. She checked in on us just to make sure we were well taken care of. You could tell she enjoys what she does, and her welcoming and upbeat demeanor made our experience even better. We will definitely be back!!!❤️

Very nice place. Nice atmosphere and good music. I had the fried pork as my appetizer and the fried chicken as my meal. They were both very good. The chicken was very hot and crispy and the flavor was really good. The Mac and cheese was some white people mac and cheese but it was still really good and flavorful, the greens were really not good, they had no flavor to me. Really love the plating. The bar tenders could have checked on us more, our drinks were low for a really long time before I had to get their attention for another drink. Otherwise their service was good and they were nice. We had a really good experience but unfortunately my friend and I woke up with a really bad stomach ache and both ended up on the toilet the next morning🫠. They told us there was a 20 percent auto gratuity on the bill and I was surprised because I was only a party of 2. This just shows black people don’t tip and if they do it’s not good enough. I am in the industry so I still tipped on top of grat.

House 157 did not disappoint. From the start, the music was vibing — loud enough to set the tone but definitely not ideal for deep conversation. The atmosphere was stylish, the staff well-dressed, and our waitress, Tiana, took great care of us. The food was excellent. The calamari was crispy and flavorful, and I ordered the whole fried red snapper, which was perfectly seasoned with black Haitian rice that tied everything together. My date had the grilled red snapper and really enjoyed hers as well. She even said I picked a great spot — so that just goes to show, I have good taste. The drinks were smooth; the Caramella Romagna was a hit, and the green tea shots were deceptively strong. Overall, great food, great service, and a lively atmosphere. The DJ kept the vibe going all night. Bill came to about $190 for two, and it was absolutely worth it.

It was the first time eating here. Food and drinks were good. I had the chicken and shrimp. Chicken was a lil dry maybe over cooked, shrimps was very small. My lady had the sweet and sour chicken that's was amazing good. Everything else was delicious. I would definitely go back here to eat.

Beautiful atmosphere the bathrooms were clean the vibes were great, the service was good Kimani did a great job serving us. Although I do believe they should slightly enhance the flavors in the main dishes I had the oxtails and it was ok at best it just lacks the flavors it deserved so I don’t believe it was worth the price.

Came here for a birthday dinner for my sisters, we had a variety of dishes the best dish hands down was the creamy spinach salmon. The worse plate of the night was rasta pasta with chicken,the chicken was over cook and the pasta was under cooked extremely spicy. The calamari was very tough. The Chicken and waffle was good however the seasoning on the chicken was interesting. Chicken tender was amazing also the oxtail yaksmein was amazing. The boioche French was excellent The eggs had nice buttery taste. The 157 cheeseburger was good I just wish my bun didn't fall apart, it made me feel like it wasn't fresh. Over all the experience was very nice and I will visit again. The hostess did an amazing job considering the size of the party and she was beautiful and professional. (Imani)

This was my second time visiting House 157, and while the food was great, the service was truly unforgettable. I came with my family to celebrate a birthday, and our server Kimani made the entire night extraordinary. Her personality, warmth, and attention to detail were absolutely first-class. She went above and beyond at every moment and became the highlight of our dining experience. By the end of the night, everyone at our table was talking about how amazing she was. Because of Kimani, House 157 has officially become our go-to spot for any and every special occasion. She turned a great dinner into a memory we’ll never forget.

The food was pretty good. Service was good as well. My only negative opinion about this spot is that the women's bathroom was not clean. The garbage was filled to capacity and tissue was on the floor because it was so full. That was not okay. But overall my bestie enjoyed her night and her girls did an amazing job making sure she did indeed enjoy her Birthday Dinner.

We were here last Saturday evening for 530pm, first time. Beauuuutiful place, hostess & manager verrrry nice friendly & welcoming, lovely atmosphere, food was excellent, thought my waitress Imani R. was too, until her demeanor switched up when we ordered our food. I sensed attitude over me not knowing what I wanted yet, it was just off. She was so friendly & bubbly with the other tables around us, offering dessert, going down the list, explaining & all. Thought it was just me until my husband said he thought she might be having a bad day, BUT then why with us? She never even offered us dessert, the only thing was me trying to decide what I wanted & if that irritates you for someone's first time there, oh well. I ordered the Oxtails, her response was which ones, I told her sorry didn't realize they were two on the menu, so I asked her the difference....she told me "Ramen or Braised" (smh) my 1st time here IDK WTH Ramen Oxtails are & thinking since she's not explaining, I just switched & asked to have Beef Plaintain Bowl with a side of jollof rice & hubby ordered the lamb chops with the same rice. We were celebrating Valentine's a week before, had it been just one of our regular date nights, I would have, should have requested the manager for another waitress. Our food comes out by a server, except my rice, I tasted his & too spicy for me. Imani comes to ask if we were ok about 5-10min later, I told her since they forgot my rice I didn't want it, it was a bit spicy & could she change it something plain/not spicy at all. (ATTITUDE) "He didn't forget it, it's coming, they're still making it....well what do you want? Again, I repeated, anything not spicy, just plain, back with it in about 2min. I will return, just not having her as my waitress

Surprised when I asked to speak to the chef. Was told the chef doesn’t come to speak with guests by Chandler. The griot was dry, the djon djon was good, bannan slices too thin which made them dry. The pikliz was not home made, not spicy, no vinegar, no pepper. Chicken well seasoned, cornbread was good. Surprised there is no diet soda option. Had to continually ask for water. There was only 2 tables with 6 people in total. Unfortunate for the first time guest to get this sort of experience.

I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is beautiful. The décor, flowers, and overall setup are very nice and give the impression of a high-end dining experience. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the appearance. The food was mediocre at best. The drinks were nicely presented but tasted horrible. I ordered the wings, and one of them appeared half-eaten, which was extremely off-putting. The oxtails were hard and had an unpleasant, gamey taste. To make matters worse, my sister had an uncomfortable encounter with a rude guest in the bathroom. When we informed the manager, they came over but offered no solution, apology, or compensation, which was very disappointing from a customer service standpoint. This was also a birthday celebration. No one acknowledged it, offered a complimentary dessert, or sang “Happy Birthday.” What made it worse was seeing the staff sing for another table while completely ignoring ours. Overall, this restaurant looks great, but the food, service, and customer care were very disappointing. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.
