Opinions de Kura Sushi Roseville
I really love that they finally opened a location in Roseville! It’s the favorite place of my family to go to! Their sushi is always fresh and perfectly made, and the waiters were very helpful. I am sure that all of the negative reviews were left by their competitors, because all of these bad reviews don’t have anything to do with the restaurant. I recommend everyone to come here and treat themselves!
It’s at par with the branches in Japan but the Kura here doesn’t have free, unlimited green tea unfortunately. I was trying to look for the powdered green tea which is a standard in Japan - you need to pay $2-3 per glass or smth The sushi is $3.80 per plate and we ate 16 plates of nigiri sushi and temaki. The warabimochi and tantanmen were also good! Total bill was around $78
The whole restaurant is a wonderful and unique experience in the local area. I am a longtime fan of conveyor belt sushi, and Kura Sushi never disappoints. The quality and freshness of their food always goes above and beyond. The staff are friendly and helpful, and so is the little robot cat that brings your drinks. It’s perfect for introverted people as well - you can order everything from an iPad. The convenience is mind blowing and this will always be one of my favorite places to get sushi. 🍣 Oh and they also have more food varieties than sushi: fried chicken, miso soup, ramen, and other appetizers.
Absolutely authentic, and fun! Really affordable, but be careful! You'll find it too easy to spend a lot!! Not really a place for kids. So I don't bring mine, but I have seen kids in there. The main place to get authentic nigiri! The choices are incredible!
Best sushi spot in the area. Especially great if you are introverted or enjoy modernization, can eat at a restraunt ordering food and paying all via a tablet and phone. A robot will bring you your water/drinks, a conveyor belt will bring you your sushi orders. It's a cool experience.
This is a fast paced high tech sushi boat setup. The food was great. Service was excellent. The non food items keep selling out.
We had an absolutely fantastic lunch today! This was our first time at this location. We haven’t had this style of sushi since we lived in Hawaii. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were very friendly. My kids and I loved the robots that deliver drinks to your table. The food was totally delicious. They have several options for kids as well. Every roll that I ate was very tasty and fresh. We will definitely be back!!
The place is good but their reservations system is a mess if you have a reservation you will still wait as long as the other people who don’t. If don’t mind waiting 40 min to 1hr during peak dinner hours then everything is all good!
very good sushi, although quite pricey. I recommend placing a reservation ahead of time in the app to avoid waiting.
Everything was fresh and so good the service was amazing and an amazing waitress Macy helped me and my mom get our car started after the battery died and she was super sweet♥️
1ST WITNESSED ON CHECK PLEASE BAY AREA...THERE ARE MANY LOCATIONS TO CHOOSE FROM / LOOKS LIKE 8 LOCATIONS...THEY HAVE SOME SEATING NEXT TO A CONVEYOR BELT...YOU MAY CHOOSE ITEMS THAT ARE COMING BY ON THE BELT OR ORDER SPECIAL ITEMS OFF THE MENU RIGHT AT YOUR TABLE...YOUR ORDER COMES RIGHT TO YOUR TABLE...TRIVIA: LOTS OF RAMON / TEMPURA / SUSHI HEAVEN...
I got to try this new location for the first time last week. I went around 3:30ish. The conveyor was nearly empty at first despite the restaurant being mostly empty but the dishes filled quickly and they were all delicious and consistent. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the checkout process and applied my rewards to my account and even allowed me to do a self checkout option with a QR code at my convenience. I think the prices are fair given the quality of the items and I recommend Kura to everyone to try at least once. If nothing else, it's such a fun experience.
I'm obsessed with Kura Revolving Sushi Bar! The unique revolving sushi experience is so much fun. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are very reasonable. I've been here multiple times and can't wait to come back!
Cool robot sushi franchise straight from Japan! Absolute BEST Shrimp Tempura I have ever had! The shrimp was hot and crispy and properly battered. Most importantly it was completely deveined! No other local sushi or Japanese restaurant has properly deveined their Shrimp Tempura as far as I have sampled. The Maguro Bluefin Tuna Sushi was the proper color, no smell at all, and was actually COLD on top of the rice! The New York Cheesecake bites were aldo served cold. The Taiyaki Ice Cream alone was worth the visit. The Miso Soup was good as well. BEST Japanese food I have had!
Such a cool experience! I can only usually eat 1 roll of sushi and this let me have my 1 roll but all different types in their small plate converbelt sushi. My kids loved the drink robot and their meals delivered in all sorts of ways. Definitely recommend if in area!
Wow. I am stunned. This is the best and most fresh sushi I've had in the Sac area. My daughter had several of the king crab leg nigiris and commented that they tasted like the ocean. She's never said that about any other sushi nor any other time she had crab! The seared salmon was perfectly seared. The temperature of the sushi was remarkably perfect. The miso soup tasted more balanced and savory than 99% of the ones I've had over my lifetime. Even the rice was perfectly cooked. How can one not love the conveyor belts, the touch-screen ordering system with additional conveyor belt delivery, robot beverage service, clean and fun ambiance, and friendly and attentive staff? My daughter was so thrilled when a surprise trinket rolled down practically right in front of her face 😆. We can't wait to come back!
Fun experience great for the family, or if you're just missing Japan. The sushi is good quality. Lots of options and fast service. Since everything is revolving or if you would like to custom order something its on a screen and comes to you via conveyor belt or robot it's perfect for introverts. Plus kids love it.
This place was so fun! We went for a work lunch and it was such a great departure from the norm. All the sushi we tried was delicious, you can take from the conveyor belt or order fresh. The robots delivering drinks might be my favorite part 😍 I'll definitely be going back!
Perfect place to have some great sushi, recommended for smaller groups (<4). Most stuff can be ordered contactless if you want to keep interruptions to minimum. Drink robot and conveyors as a fun gimmick. Quality of the food maintained at a high level and a very friendly staff.
My kid and I came around 5:45pm and only waited for 5 minutes before seated. The staffs were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. The staff said that they were just opened a week before my visit in May. We were seated at the middle of the restaurant and could get all of our favorite rolls from the belt despite the restaurant was being full. As usual, the robot delivered our water which was exciting for my kid. The sushi were good and fresh. Some of them were bigger size than the other location imo. I ordered my favorite spider roll soy wrap from the iPad but got wrong item and the server corrected my order immediately. Another exciting part was putting in all the plates into the counter & see the small prize rolled out from the jar. I think you get a prize for every 15 plates. By the time we exited the restaurant, there were a lot of people waiting outside. So do come early if you don’t want to wait for too long.
Awesome experience and probably one of my new favorite sushi spot. Loved the Dragon Ball Z theme and the sushi conveyor belt. Sushi quality was very good and there were options that you don’t typically find at sushi restaurants. The drink serving robots were a fun feature as well.
My favorite sushi spot in Roseville! The service was top-notch and the atmosphere was so chill! Every dish is fresh and flavorful. They have a wide variety of fish to choose from. Can't wait to come back and try more!
Love the quality of fish. My favorites are salmon toro nigiri, sweet shrimp nigiri, and the ponzu fish mix. Clean space and it's easy and fun to order foods.
Sushi was delicious and fresh! Revolving sushi options suprisingly had a very large variety of options. Tablets are available to order other sushi rolls, appetizers, or even ramens and udon noodles. I will definitely be back!!
Great experience especially for introverts. You can order everything all on your own, and it's either brought to you by the belt or a ROBOT! I sat at the bar and quietly enjoyed my meals from the conveyer belt. The interactions I had with the staff were pleasurable and they even offered to accommodate the bill when they noticed I didn't like a plate I grabbed off the belt. I'll definitely be coming again.

Staff is polite and nice. Little pricey but the food quality is way up there and the place feels like an operating room for how clean it is. Honestly my favorite sushi/japanese spot in the area. You can also order food fresh and it does take a minute to show up but its also absurdly good
Very cool place, sushi taste fresh and the wasabi seems like real wasabi. Robots bring u drinks. Fun all around
Fun conveyor place. You can also order what you want if it doesn’t come around and it’s conveyed directly to you. More like traditional Japanese sushi than American and they have more exotic sushi. Just don’t come too hungry or you will get separated from your money pretty quickly!
A very Japanese experience. Robots bring your water. Clean environment. Alcohol brought by people if I remember correctly. If your order includes alcohol. I prefer ordering from the menu and waiting. All the hot food is on the menu. I have pulled many plates off the sushi revolving bar. They were tasty. I would recommend the experience. If you’re a foodie you will likely be hyper critical and kill the vibe and hospitality of the wonderful welcoming staff that will have to clean up after you mess. As a reminder, in Japan, leaving a tip seen as insulting. We are here in America. I believe you should leave something $$, even if you were served by a robot with speakers and a catchy gingle.

This place is very fun and cute. I love the little robot that brings out the drinks and wasabi. I will say, because you can grab whatever looks yummy, it gets very expensive very fast, so be mindful of that! lol Sushi was tasty. It’s definitely worth visiting at least once if you’ve never been to this kind of sushi bar before.
The last time I been to a boat/revolving sushi restaurant was 30+years ago, they just never called me till I kept seeing advertisements for KURA which got me interested in trying this place out to see what the hype is about. Party of 4, I ate to my hearts content and tried almost everything on the menu. Some dishes like fried rice aren't worth the small portion, the sushi is very small, and the fish to rice portions are un balanced there needs to be more fish because you can't take away the rice is so small. 38 plates, 2 ramens, a few menu items, and a couple of drinks, the bill came out to over $260 without tip. I probably won't frequent here but would visit for a quick n easy lunch. Nothing stood out about this place and definitely not a dinner or date spot unless contraptions impress more then the food. The only complaint, UNI (sea urchin) didn't taste good.
My family loves Kura! The sushi is fresh and Kura's offers a lot of different options. I love their Ramen, house made noodles soooooo yummers 😋
Not the most affordable sushi place, but the novelty is fun and the food is good. For me it's better as a casual date night place than a family restaurant. Bringing the kids would get pricey pretty quickly!
Kids like to come here for the atmosphere and robotic butler that brings out the drinks. Food is decent, it's quick too.
A/C was freezing, food was Average, requested refills 3x for 4 people; 2 guests received refills 1x. The atmosphere was fun and pricing was heavy. Whole experience would have been better if we were attended to, regularly. And yes, we rang service button each time.
The food was tasty, but the waiting time was very long, more than 20~30 minutes. Also ramens were salty, some of them were okay. But when we ordered ramen but it took more than 30 minutes, so we complained to the waitress about it and then the food came.
A fun causal lunch or dinner date sushi place! The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because if you want top notch sushi there are better places in town. It was a fun atmosphere, good prices, and will definitely come back again.

Great food, amazing service. Our gachapon didn't work so they brought out a basket to pick from and even let us take an extra for the inconvenience. All their food tastes good quality and the presentation is nice. But some items are quite overpriced for a small amount and it can really add it as you eat more.

Im more of a people person and while the people that worked there were awesome it was too much going on with rotating food and nigari didn't seem like the real thing. Robot delivery was a cool experience and my kids liked it alot.
Kura Reviving Sushi Bar offers a unique and enjoyable dining experience, particularly if you're interested in the concept of a revolving sushi bar. The variety of sushi is somewhat limited, with each small plate typically offering 2, three or four pieces. In terms of pricing, it sits comfortably in the mid-range—neither too expensive nor too cheap—making it an affordable option for a casual meal. The quality of the sushi is on par with what you'd expect from other sushi spots in the area, which is satisfactory but not exceptional. What truly sets Kura apart, however, is the overall experience. The restaurant is designed to minimize direct interaction with staff, creating a futuristic vibe where orders are placed via touchscreen, and drinks and other items are delivered by an automated system. Beyond sushi, you can order off the menu, which includes options like noodles and various sweets, though these come at a slightly higher price point. The main draw of Kura is the revolving sushi concept, which is both fun and efficient. If you're looking for a dining experience that's a bit out of the ordinary, Kura is definitely worth a visit. While the sushi might not be the best you can find, the customer service is outstanding, making the overall experience a positive one. If you value the novelty of a revolving sushi bar, Kura is a great choice. However, if you're after top-tier sushi, you might want to explore other options in the area. I myself have been there multiple times and had also visited their Seattle location. I will go again.
Generally I have good experiences here. My bestie wanted to come here again and on Wednesday I looked at the hours and saw Saturdays they close at 10pm. Perfect, I get off work in the evening and had plenty of time to dine. We get there and they are closed on a SATURDAY night. No note on the door, nothing. The hours on the door say Saturday and 10pm closing, yet it was 8pm and the doors were locked. Why a Saturday? Why no note at least? If yall were short, I get it but at least leave a note??

I ate here for the first time. Sashimi is one of my favorite meals. The quality of sushi was mediocre at best. The wasabi offered was the worst I ever recall tasting. I felt like I was at a Walmart store. I will never go again. The server was very pleasant.
It was very unpleasant that their signature roll looks one way in the picture, but they bring another. The roll that they brought us does not correspond at all to what is shown in the picture. I understand that food cannot completely correspond to the picture. But in this case, the roll looks completely different. I asked to bring the corresponding roll. I was refused. I felt cheated. This is typical for cheap restaurants.
We drove 40 minutes to get to this place. It turned out it was closed. Although there was no indication of this anywhere. Not on the website, not on the map, they didn't even put a sign on the door that the restaurant was closed. So if you don't want to show up and kiss the door, stay away from this place.
We drove quite a bit to eat here, but it was closed without any announcements. It said it was open on google maps and the door schedule. No one responded to the phone when we called. Disappointing.
Terrible all around. First, they sat us down and said to watch the screen at the table for instructions, instead of the staff explaining it. The screen didn't work. Re sat us after I had to grab someones attention because no staff was paying attention. Constantly saw lids open on the revolving food, told staff, staff said "dont worry the kitchen will remove it" i explained I had seen at minimum 6 plates revolve around 4 times. He didn't care. Sushi was very low grade, staff obviously didn't care about anything, had to waive people down just for basic things like wasabi after waiting to see if anyone would check on us. The things we wanted, like seabeam, would just revolve for 30 minutes empty everytime. You could tell even after 45 minutes certain plates with raw items kept revolving and they just let them keep going on the conveyor belt without any refrigeration, I'm assuming for hours. At this rate I'm praying I won't be sick in the morning. Avoid this place, I'll be telling everyone I know to do the same. Also, the pricing was extremely high for the very low quality, and pricing wasnt listed per plate. If i could give zero stars, I would.
I will open with saying that the food was good for cheap sushi. With that said, every item is 10 to 20 cents more than the Sacramento location even though the quality is worse. Now my real issue: the staff and the restaurant system. My friend and I are two rather small women who both have good but hard careers. She works in medical and I work in news. We decided we would eat at Kura Roseville due to how much I enjoy the Sacramento location near my workplace. We were NOT greeted by anyone at the door. In fact, at that moment, it seemed like staff wasn't there. We watched a man who came in right behind us just go and sit down as we looked for a staff member, so we eventually did the same. It is worth noting that there was a blank iPad at the entrance, however, we did ignore it at the time. After that, we simply had a good time for a bit. We each had about three plates when I ordered a water, hoping for the robot. There was not only no robot, but then a staff member came and explained that because we weren't seated, we didn't have a ticket due to how their system works. That's fine! We made a ticket then and there and apologized for the issue. We didn't have any idea and there was no staff around. Well, after that very nice girl made us a ticket, a different woman brought me the water instead of a robot and then claimed we hadn't made a ticket (I told her twice that we literally had just made the ticket with the other girl), and then heavily implied that we were trying to eat for free. She and three others, all large women including herself, stood at the end of our row and stared at us for the next 15 minutes. Where was this staff when we entered and why do they have the time to stand around doing nothing but threatening guests? And if the system is so broken that people regularly eat for free (as admitted by the rude woman with the water) so much that staff needs to threaten normal guests, why is your staff not positioned where they should be in order to stop the entire issue? Needless to say, we got out of there after only spending $11 each after tax, NO TIP. First place I've ever not tipped in my life. It was also the first time I was ever profiled and felt threatened in a restaurant. Really disappointing, as I LOVE the Sac location
