Mim’s Restaurant - Roslyn

Had a wonderful dinner at Mims last night. We were a party of 15 people. A New Years Friends dinner. Jonathan the manager was pleasant and helpful making the reservation and checked on our party to make sure everything was okay multiple times during the night. Our waiter Ray was spot on. Very friendly and very attentive. We were never rushed. Enjoyed the food, the drinks and had a great time. Definitely recommend.

We hosted our holiday party at Mim’s and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Brian, the owner, truly took such great care of us. He went above and beyond to accommodate some of our picky eaters, helping us design a menu that pleased everyone and the food was absolutely delicious! Jimmy, the manager, made sure the table setup was perfect, giving us plenty of room to mingle and even play a few games, which made the night feel extra special. The service was excellent, attentive without being overbearing, and the entire staff made us feel so welcome. Mim’s helped make our holiday celebration memorable, and we are already looking forward to going back again soon!

Had a good time at this place on a Sunday mid afternoon. Started with a caesar salad that was very good. My food was ok but I was trying something different and probably just don’t like it but on the other hand my wife had some chicken dish that was great. The service was good and so was the bread and hummus spread that came with it. This place a bit upscale with a small parking lot but if your in need of a place to eat go check it out.

My family and I went here for Father’s Day. The service and ambiance were good but the food was stellar. Everything we tried was delicious. I liked it so much I suggested this to my fiancée for our wedding rehearsal. She liked it too and so opted to have this restaurant host our rehearsal. The staff were very accommodating and even accommodated the few extra guests that showed up last minute on the day of. Unfortunately, one of the most popular food items on the menu that day was the Granny Smith chicken, which was definitely not up to standard when compared to their other dishes. Since a good portion of our guests chose this item, it did tarnish the quality of the restaurant in their minds. Finally, the parking is very limited but they do have complimentary valet. All in all, the service is too notch, ambiance is fine, and food is delicious. This place would have hands-down had a 5-star review were it not for this one item.

American grill fare with a full bar/cocktail set up. Valet parking on site and tented outdoor seating available. This visit was my first and the menu was the draw. I had my eye on this spot but timing was key. Make a reservation when possible. The waitresses were very friendly and welcoming. The chicken breast and apples entree was excellent and I really enjoyed my steak with mushrooms, cheese over rigatoni. So savory!

Went for a birthday party and was seated in a private room which was nice. Food was excellent except one person asked for a well done steak and it came out raw and she ended up getting sick despite having the steak recooked. Service was a little slow and there was lag between people getting their food. The server was really nice but seemed overwhelmed-granted we were 20 people. Would go again as the food was delicious

Great neighborhood restaurant atmosphere. The place was packed you can tell most of the crowd were regulars. The service was good, my table was ready in 5 minutes. We ordered the spicy blood orange margaritas they were excellent. Appetizers we had the corn shrimp soup and the pulled pork sliders both were very good. The entrees were good but n't amazing. I had the skirt steak over short rib ravioli, it was too salty and my wife had the Baja tacos. My friend told me next time to get the half roasted chicken and the burger, so I will come back to try those. Overall it was nice dining experience, the prices and portions were great. The check had a QR code to pay which I loved, it was so quick. I hate waiting 10 minutes for wait staff to give me back my credit card.

The restaurant is overpriced and serves very small portions. It tries to compete with high-end dining but falls short in both quality and portion size, especially given the high prices. For example, a salad with a hanger steak add-on cost $17 but came with only a few small pieces of meat. The ahi tuna dish was $39, yet the portion was minimal, with the rice served more as a garnish than a side. While the flavors were good, the portions left me hungry. I hadn’t visited in nearly three years, and after this experience, I don’t plan to return anytime soon. Fortunately, Roslyn has many other restaurants that deliver both value and generous portions.

No cauliflower appetizer no pizza appetizer no nacho chip for the dip appetizer. $26 burger was boring, fries were cold snd not seasoned and the worst part was the 20% 13 people in your party surcharge. So if you have more than six people you pay a fee. Not a gratuity. Place was empty. People looked disappointed. I was. The poor staff apologized all night

Dined here this evening 12/31/25 and what a debacle it was. From getting a reservation confirmed the day before to getting a check the night of the staff was disorganized and some were downright rude. Waitstaff was far and few between,I while service was non existent. Food was mediocre at best, over cooked, over salted and/or lacking flavor. From where I was sitting I saw several uneaten meals ( including one at our table) being returned to the kitchen. I definitely will not be returning anytime soon.
