This is a great place to eat with young children. They have a padded floor area with things for kids to climb on and slide down. The food is just ok, but the kids (age 3 and 1) really enjoyed the place.

This was our first time coming here and we didn’t know what to expect. The food was okay, I’ve had better at other places but their fries all though skinny were pretty good paired with their fry sauce. The environment and atmosphere was very welcoming, warm and reminded me of going to place on a field trip when I was in school. There’s a playground with tons of kids to play with even though I currently don’t bare any children at the moment. The service was also decent. Person who took our order was nice and helpful.

Overall, it is a good spot for parents to eat and have some drinks while the kids burn some energy. The food is ok, the service is not existent. Their ice machine needs to be upgraded, it can't keep up with ice demand. Prices are reasonable. However, their side of the queso is not worth the money. Sauces flavors are ok.

Hat Creek is a cool place to eat, especially with kids. I was disappointed in the chicken nuggets, they were fried to the point of being burned. Luckily, the kids still ate, so it wasn't a problem. My burger was delicious. The setup is very comfortable. You can relax as the kids play. Of course. Price is an issue. On the expensive side. 2 kids meals and a burger was $30. Stay a while and let the kids tire out and it's worthwhile.

The location on 79 and Brushy Creek has a nice outdoor play area much bigger than the one at the Domain. So it's nice to sit at the (nice quality) picnic tables and watch the kids play. There is covered seating attached to the outdoor area for those who want to escape the sun. The inside is as your expect with air conditioning. I've yet to really have a full meal here, besides snacks. But the food I see being sent out looks great.

Good food and a great place to take the family for lunch or dinner. My five-year-old daughter had just passed a reading milestone and to celebrate we took her to ice cream, then we thought we could spice it up a little more by trying out Hat Creek, which has a large kids play area and is not too far from our house. The first thing we noticed was how happy everyone was; kids were playing, families were smiling, and the atmosphere was very positive. When we made our order, I was surprised that they have beer on draft, and it was actually good! I tried the IPA which I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to others if you like that sort of thing. For our meal, my wife had the Fried Chicken sandwich, and I had The Big Hat burger. The food was very good, but I think what will keep us coming back is the play area for the kids. With everything that went on with the pandemic we went ahead and decided to homeschool our children and so we jump at the opportunity to get them some play time with other children. On both occasions of us coming to Hat Creek the play area was bustling with children playing, and our kids LOVED it. What is also nice is the portions and price. I mean, the prices are about what you would expect at Whataburgur, but the quality is what you would expect at a sit-down restaurant. We enjoy sit down restaurants but these days with tip you usually are not getting out of there for less than seventy or eighty dollars after tip, this place costs thirty, less than half. You might be asking yourself, if you like this place so much, why not five stars? The answer is that I was torn and almost did give five stars except for the fact that the menu is a bit small. When my family finds a new place we like we tend to go all the time. The problem is with a small menu you end up getting the same things repeatedly, which gets old fast. If they had a larger menu this would be five stars easily. So, if you’re looking for a fun place to take your kids that has yummy food at a reasonable price I’d give Hat Creek a try, you might end up loving it as much as we did!

The burgers are ok. Overpriced for what they are but still would eat here again. The fries are fantastic but last time I went here the person I was with found several hairs on her fries. We don't know of someone was shedding over just her fries or what but that obviously killed her appetite. I also really think they need to reconsider the height of their playground fence. The first time I was there I witnessed a small child hop the fence and run for the highway. This shouldn't be possible especially with this place being "kid friendly" and right next to a busy, high speed highway. Overall I will be back but I do hope this company takes the safety of these kiddos into consideration and installs a higher fence around the play area.

I had a disappointing experience during my visit today. I brought my children with two balls, not knowing about the policy prohibiting them. The employee's approach was unacceptable, as they confronted my six-year-old child instead of politely informing me. When I inquired about the policy, the employee responded rudely, directing me to the sign on the door. Additionally, the staff failed to intervene when another visitor confronted and disrespected me for several minutes, making me feel unsafe. Interestingly, other children were playing with a football without any issues from the employees. As a paying customer, I felt undervalued and disrespected. I do not plan to return.

We’ve been loyal for years, forgiving the early quirks as our kids burned off energy here and that was a greater priority as we would be on premise if something needed to be remade. As the kids grew, we explored other options nearby, but hoped today would be different and gave it another try. It wasn’t different. Drive-thru orders are often wrong. To ensure our order was heard correctly, today my husband went inside to order, and three of six meals were incorrect. The mismatch between inside and drive-thru experiences persists, and the overall accuracy felt lacking. Not only are the orders usually wrong, but compared to other burger places in the area (and I’m not talking about national fast food chains), Hat Creek is also more expensive. There are plenty of other reliable burger spots nearby. If Hat Creek Round Rock wants to win back long-time families, they need consistent accuracy, better kitchen flow, and real follow-through when mistakes happen. Until then, there are too many other options. We won’t be back anytime soon.

I ordered a turkey jack bowl and guess what I got? A very tiny bowl with a piece of lettuce two ring tomatoes and a freaking hamburger meat for $9.00. Not even a drink. I could have bought a good hamburger with a drink at burger king or mcdonald. Their people were terrible. Never going back to this place!

I came in on Saturday early afternoon around 3pm. It was the first time I was bringing my friend in to try for the first time the burgers. As we walked in the line was short and we were up next after a Caucasian couple. The way the cashiers attitude completely changed after having to take our order was immense. He was serious and would not look us in the eyes as he took our order. I have never felt an interaction where a cashier made me feel uncomfortable and insecure for trying to order something. I don’t know if it was a race reason but the fact that he changed his attitude completely after attending others definitely made the experience terrible. Therefore we will not be coming again to support a restaurant that has customer service like this.

Good environment for people with children, needing to run around. I'd give it a 5/5 on that, absolutely brilliant for that. The actual food? Not great. Edible, but first bite I instantly remembered why I hadn't eaten one of their dry as shoe leather burgers in almost 5 years. Fries, not horrible, not great. Smaller portion than I was expecting, considering they make a big deal of having 3 different dipping sauces. It's basically a playground, with offensively over cooked meat patties on bread, and Mediocre fries. The staff was amazing. Best part of the entire experience.

$27 for a combo and a salad. Asked for grilled onions got sautéed, asked for a large got a small. I told them it was my first time visiting and I don’t think they really cared cause this wasn’t what I asked for, I hate to see what it’s like when they don’t put any effort. The place looks nice though that’s probably what I’m paying for, the fries and drink were so small I had to put a dollar bill next to it so you’d believe me.
