Night Owl Bar

Read a few of the lower (1star) star reviews by other people and I got to say...these people are either mad that their life suck, or they're broke. Iv never heard someone complain about a (Dog that doesn't bark at the owl first off) dog being at a dog bar...Dogs are welcome here. On another note, in the past 3 almost 4 years of going here not once have I seen a bartender wasted nor is anyone racist that works there. The Night Owl is a fun local bar that welcomes all except people who just want to complain about life in general. Cheers!

Wife and I enjoy going there from time to time. Drinks are great and the people running it are awesome. Always a good vibe and good people hanging out there. If you get hungry they will let you bring food in (try out the Mediterranean place next door). Then, if you want to keep partying at home there is an awesome liqour store and C-Mart next door.

Honestly I can’t understand where those recent bad reviews are coming from but I find them to be very comical!! This amazing establishment has always been 100% on point EVERY TIME!! The bartenders are always laughing and having a great time and wonderful mixologists of some really cool and fun drinks and if they don’t know how to make it they ask you very politely (speaking from experience) on how to make it. This wonderful and inviting bar has always treated everyone no matter race or sexual preference with the utmost respect so for some people to say different is an absolute lie!! The prices are always very decent and the regulars are always very kind too and will just start up a conversation with you. It’s definitely a modern day Cheers lol I say that because it’s a neighborhood bar it’s very chill and there’s always a game or music playing and the entire staff is nothing short of fantastic!! Make sure you stop by and I guarantee you within a few minutes you’ll be hooked!!! It really feels like you’re hanging out at friends place!! So what are you waiting on already GOOOOO!!!!

HUGE shout out to the owners and Jeremy & Danielle for being so outstanding this past weekend hosting both a UT & 49ers football party for all of us!! We all had an amazing time and we couldn’t be more grateful to y’all for making this our new 49er home this season!! Thank you so much!! If you haven’t been to this wonderful pub yet in Round Rock you need to get your booty in there already!! The staff is phenomenal, prices are extremely reasonable, the atmosphere is very chill and laid back.

This is a wonderful bar. I went there one evening and I had already had a few cocktails at home before I went and I went there too. Intoxicated and that bartender. She served me one cocktail when I first got there but she recognized right away that I was intoxicated and she would not serve me another one. She was very sweet about it and she welcomed me to come back another time. Not so intoxicated and she cared for me and that made me feel wonderful and she was absolutely right. I highly recommend this place. This is a very conscious alcohol establishment and very professional and very caring and loving. They will take care of you. If you become intoxicated, I will return to this place and I highly recommend it to anyone. Looking for a nice enjoyable evening because I truly enjoyed my short stay there. Stopped in here yesterday on my way out to Hutto. I've been to one of the other locations and enjoyed it. It had a full bar on a Thursday around 5. Lots of people are having a good time. I enjoyed the vibes. And dog friendly, which is always a plus for me. The only complaints I have were that it was really bright in there and kinda smelled like a toilet, lol. But obviously, it didn't matter because there were lots of folks in there who had a great time.

Decent little strip-mall bar, drink prices were pretty good. ($10 Buffalo Trace on rocks) My biggest issue was the smell, they allow dogs and apparently right before we got there one had dropped a deuce.

Would like to be able to go there more, but the sewage smell is getting really bad and I don't think we can tolerate it. The regulars say it always smells like that. If they can get the smell taken care of, we'll be back for sure!

It's a neighborhood bar,so no new comers welcome or you will be made fun of with locals saying that you're asking for complicated drinks like ' Irish car bombs' and bartnedar and locals laughing....when in reality you were asking for typical drinks was too drunk to comprehend. Come in and tread on eggshells... it's a local atmosphere and outsiders not welcome. Better be a local or your not welcome.

We always drive by this place and yesterday decided to stop for a couple of drinks after a long day at work, we walked in and saw a look alike Lassie (dog) running around in the bar barking dog-toys scattered all over the floor this place was dirty and smelled nasty so we immediately walked out feeling confused 😕 not all people are dog lovers!! If you folks want to drink and take your dogs there then go to the park buy yourself a six pack of beer and let your dog run around all you want!!! Stop it already this is getting ridiculous 😒 I wonder if the health department knows about this bar allowing dogs inside 🤔 letting my friends and family know so they don't waste their time and money in things place.

OMG! I gave this people a bad review and all hell broke loose. This man iumped out of the bar and accused me of spitting on their car! This is the second horrible experience I have had around this bar. After that happen, I sat in my car to calm down. About 10 min later… the cops show up. Nightmare… I am 99% sure that the racist owner did this!!! If you don’t believe me then don’t. But, If suggest you don’t go there!

A group of 10 of us were there for NFL games this weekend. This place has No food, No waitress over priced average drinks. Very Clicky locals. Not friendly. A self appointed 49ers website editor (old guy) friend of the owners/bartender's. Tells us to make sure we tip them well and bus our own tables to help out. Place is a joke. You are better off going some where else.

When we first got there (family of 6) they did not have table service so we had to get up to the bar to order which was okay with us. We were visiting my older parent in laws so we went to the bar and order drinks for our entire table. I was obviously not going to make my older parents get up to get their drinks. The bartender told me a “skinny” margarita was too complicated. He expressed he didn’t want to be there and much rather be at home. I figured I would just get my drinks and go back to my table with my family. Go back for a second round, he gave me attitude again. The night kept going I was getting double margaritas for multiple people on our party of 6. By our 3rd drink the bartender expressed he couldn’t serve more than 8 drinks per person. Which neither one of us had gotten more than 3 drinks. He continued to be rude as I continue to explain to him that the drinks have not been consumed by the same person, that we were a party of 6 and that even if one person was drinking all the margaritas as he said, the total still didn’t add up to 8 drinks. By this time he has been serving shots to people at the bar that had been there hours before we got there and expressed they had more than 8 straight shots. I asked to closed out and took my family to a more pleasant place. Looking at the receipt later on I realize that we had order 4 margaritas 2 of which were doubles. One double for me and one for my sister in law. One single margarita to my mother in law and another single for my sister in law. It is just crazy to me how unwelcoming a supposedly “neighborhood” bar was. The bartender was drunk out of his mind. Couldn’t hold a conversation, couldn’t mix a “skinny margarita” (even though they’re a cocktail bar) but my family is the one not being serve drinks? After I asked to closed out, someone spill and broke a glass at the bar. I wonder if they were supposed to be cut off earlier…. All I would say is don’t waste your money here if you’re not local. If you’re not straight and definitely if you’re not white. You’re probably will be treated poorly, looked down upon and just not welcomed at all. If you are coming from out of state DO NOT COME HERE !!! Only “locals” are welcomed. Even though my parents in law are “locals” Definitely waste of money.
