I Did not try any food, so I gave that 4 stars just because the rest of the Tavern was 5 stars. The service was great, the bartenders were friendly to a new face. The bar overall was rather welcoming to me. It's not a high scale dance club, by any means so if that's what you're looking for try elsewhere. If you're looking for a good little bar to relax and have a good time in, this is it.

Beautiful bar, bartenders are friendly. Could use additional handicap parking, but that's not the bar, that's the area. Outdoor seating where you can still hear the band, but can talk too. Walking distance to a bunch of other places if you want different music, but the vibe here was get your dance on favorites.

This is my favorite bar! I love the mix of music. The service and staff are amazing! Keep doing what you’re doing Tavern and make sure you see my favorite bartender Grealon. He takes time to get to know his customers and he is literally the main reason I’ve stayed a customer.

Great live music venue.

Excellent atmosphere with even better service! Stopped by for a quick lunch and ended up staying for a few hours and a few extra plates. The food is just TOO Good! Cocktails were prepared wonderfully and many TV screens provided great visuals of keg levels and whether your beer is almost out or not. Sitting out on the patio the steady breeze kept us cool and bugs away. Plenty of food options for even the pickiest of eaters. My wife even ordered wings to go which reheated well as a late night hotel snack! 10/10 will recommend to anyone visiting Round Rock.

The tavern is my home away from home! The stuff is rad and welcoming. Very well-versed on their drink knowledge. If you’re looking for a place to hang out, watch sports, sing karaoke or hear live music… the tavern is the place to be!

Go almost every Tuesday night to sing mariachi for Karaoke and the people there are just great. The staff is very professional and friendly and drive all the way from South Austin cause they know how to make someone feel like home. They also host great bands and live music on the weekends and it's just an awesome place to meet new faces and make new friends.

I’ve been to Round Rock Tavern exactly twice, both great experiences. First time was a brisket dinner fundraiser for my American Legion post, thank y’all for supporting us! Second time was to see a fiend/fellow car enthusiast perform with his band. 10/10 would recommend 👍🏻

Very much enjoyed this place as a visitor to the area. Spent a full night here, and the live music was great. Sound was tuned perfectly. This review is for the bartender Steven. I had a heck of a month and all I wanted was a good drink man. He made me a premium one and just made my night to start things off. Go see Steven upstairs. He knows what up and thank you man..seriously. It helped in a good way.

Okay this 3 section bar is pretty cool. They have a small off spurt under their roof top that has some of the best cocktails and they do the best for May, October and December with full on decorations!

Hands down my favorite bar in downtown round rock! Starting with the bouncers, one of them has the nastiest attitude and is just rude every interaction you have with him (shorter Caucasian male unsure of his name) all of the other bouncers though are extremely friendly, funny and welcoming! Great first impression before even entering the bar! The bartenders- AMAZING! They’re quick, friendly and overall on point! They don’t treat you like just a customer, they hold conversations very well and might I add they’re all funny as hell. The atmosphere- the inside is amazing, it’s small but not too small and a nice stage! Enough room to dance. They have 3 really nice outside patios, one side has some games you can play and benches and stools for you to sit back and enjoy your drink. Upstairs is really nice as well, places for you to sit, a lot of room to stand and hang out. The live music is always phenomenal, the karaoke nights are so much fun. Overall 10/10 spot. I’ve never felt the need to complain about a single thing here.

Love going here on the weekends. Also enjoy an occasional Monday or Tuesday night for karaoke. Music choice is always so lively. Enjoy the live music as well, Drinks downstairs at Hoot & Annie’s are delish and they have a vegan/Vegetarian option outside in the little food trailer. Not sure if it’s 100% vegan, I haven’t double checked like the bread and stuff. Pretty sure they don’t have vegan cheese but hey if y’all see this review and want to add vegan cheese, that would be amazing. I will buy it if the bread is vegan lol ~ but any-who, if you’re reading this far, check out this place it’s awesome. Tip your bartenders. They work hard and make sure this place is safe. If anyone’s too drunk, they make sure to cut them off. Super safe place, always police monitoring the streets. Make sure to grab a T-shirt. I love their T-shirts. Love going to round rock to grab a drink from the Tavern on main st. Huge space, live music. Great drinks and even better staff! They even have a speakeasy attached to it!! I love to grab a very detailed cocktail (Hoot & Annie) from this staff! Definitely recommend going if you’ve never been!

Hoot and Annie’s speakeasy is the best in the Austin area. And I have been to most of the speakeasies in the Austin area. The drinks are fabulous, the atmosphere is just what you want in a speakeasy, dark with great music playing. They also do different themes throughout the year. Right now it’s the Harry Potter theme which is one of my faves. I definitely suggest going here.

First time visiting the night life in Round Rock TX and really enjoyed this place. Everyone was very friendly and enjoying the live band. This was a great place for dancing with great drinks. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and lighting as well as the plentiful of seatting. I am definitely coming back to this place the next time I'm in Round Rock.

Went to see live music last night the bartenders Morgan and Amanda were very nice. I love watching the NFL football games on their screens and the place is non smoking which is great, service was awesome, staff is friendly. They have a wide selection of beers, and liquor drinks as well.

I performed here a few weeks back. The stage was a bit small, and you didn't really have a whole lot of space off stage. The 'audience' area/where the tables are isn't really big either. It's just not a huge place. I didn't get a chance to go to the bar this time, but I have been there before, and it's pretty good service.

This is a cool bar right in the heart of downtown Round Rock! It has good music good vibes and the atmosphere isn't bad. It's decorated well and has a decent tap beer selection. I would recommend hanging out here on occasion.

They have updated this place since I was last there. Very nice. No longer a dive crawl place. The service is still kind of informal, but that's ok.

Great spacious place to enjoy the best central Texas live band music from the last decades, plenty of room to dance and mingle, the go to place in downtown Round Rock during the cold months too.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Typically have good local bands. Good size dance floor, several televisions broadcasting sporting events. My only minor negative comment would be that the past several times I've been there they didn't have any beer on tap. Overall its a very good experience.

Not my favorite place in downtown Round Rock but they’re open late and decently priced. The outside area has lots of seating and usually a DJ. Don’t expect anything super nice but it’s a good local spot that’s pretty reliable.

I wish i can add a video of a smoky old fashion! Very entertaining! The interior design is also stands out with a cool “urban hunter” (just made it up!) theme. Tavern is neighboring with a club/live music/dance hall venue where a band was getting ready to play. A nice outside patio with a dj i also liked. Unfortunately, the drinks weren’t impressive, but, supposedly, it was “a first day in a job” moment, which happens to most of us. Keep in mind, its a “water hole”, not an eatery. There were food trucks somewhere in music venue open patio, offering tacos, which are not EVERYONE’s choice, as weird as it may sounds. Overall, a cool place to have a drink and chill after work. There is also an upstairs patio, which was too hot to visit at the time, but might be nice at night.

This place is accommodating with 3 places to enjoy friends and drinks. They would probably sell more drinks if they offered pretzels or nuts to snack on while here. Bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable!! Great selection. Plenty of TV’s for those interested. Super bands come here!!! Need more tables by the stage. They could accommodate a long table facing parallel to the stage that multiple people could enjoy. Bottled beer preferred.

My experience at round Rock tavern was the worst experience of ever dealt with downtown round Rock. I've lived in Central Texas all my life. And never once experience any kind of stereotyping at a place in Central Texas. It was my brother who was the victim. We were all having a good time. There's been many times I've been at this tavern and I've seen people smoke marijuana outside. My brother is disabled and also in the system for marijuana. He barely light it up right next to the security guard. The security guard said to put it out in a respectful way and so my brother did and I agreed. That it could wait till we get home ,not a problem. My brother left the tavern and got rid of it. Well my brother was gone for a moment there was this woman decided to join us outside where we were playing Jenga drinking and smoking cigarettes. We welcomed her to come and hang out with us. She decided she wanted to smoke but she was smoking something else which was mixed with weed and tobacco. She was the main reason why we left the club she was the main reason why they stereotype my brother when he got back from getting rid of his weed. She didn't get in trouble they didn't never talk to her she stayed at the tavern while we decided to leave the tavern. The woman never spoken up and said that she was the one that was smoking. It is kind of messed up the way that we were treated and I will never go back to that tavern ever again. I have been there many times and never have had the experience like this. I will never go back to that place ever again. All because of that woman and y'all know exactly what I'm talking about that woman was the one that was smoking weed with tobacco. To the Manager or Owner, We have been residents of Round Rock for over 25 years and we have seen the evolution of the different businesses that have come and gone from your building. We are very disappointed that your doorman felt the need to check people’s pockets and purses. One of my friends had a legal pocket knife that was confiscated and supposedly thrown away. Since when did your location become so dangerous that there is a need for this? Plus, there was not a sign declaring your items would be thrown out! In addition, why was there a need to run videos of naked women on your big screens? Since when is a Tavern about full on nudity? It was embarrassing for all of us and not upscale or sophisticated in any way! How many more people will stop going because of this clueless management?

Bought two beers at 5:30 pm on 6/9/2024 and it was $17 BEFORE TIP lmao. Not sure if they bartender ripped us off or what. Plus they served them in small 12 oz plastic cups with an inch of head so its probably more like 10 oz. We planned on hanging out for a while and ordering food but at those prices we just tabbed out and left. I'd avoid unless you like throwing money away

First time to visit. Dress code but expensive not cold beer in plastic cups. First bartender had no personality. Guessing he is the doorman I read reviews about. Fries were amazing. Pizza was burnt on the sides like they advertised but also burnt on the bottom. I mean BURNT. The Weak Knights were good. Good music. They did take a 47 minute break before they came back so we left. Great band but wish we could have listened more music.

I’ve been to the tavern a few times.. my family came into town for the holidays so we decided to go there since the vibes are normally really great. 12/22/24 at about 1:30 AM, We went up to the rooftop bar. We tried to order drinks with the white male bartender but he was giving us a dirty look when we tried to order. We asked him if everything was okay and he rudely asked us to leave. Then he proceeded to grab and push us down the stairs. the male bartender was definitely drunk and acting obnoxious and I could tell the female bartender was getting frustrated with his behavior , starting fights for no reason? We’re out with family trying to have a good time, we did not expect to be manhandled. At least 5 security guards had to hold back YOUR bartender as we were walking away trying to leave.

I was there enjoying. My evening and one of the staff members was rude to other who were taking a pic i said wow and the staff members turn to me she was working i said ok but you could've let them take there picture. She replied yet again that she was work i stated ok then please go work. She proceeded to argue about working i just said ok she left and said she'll be back. A bouncer came to me and asked me to leave. I was appalled. I've see worst things go on in that place and watch them look away. So disappointed 😞 will not be back anytime soon!!!

I’m extremely dissatisfied with the employees here, they’re not pro women at all, they have treated me unfairly a handful of times. I don’t feel safe or valued here. Ladies please be careful they will not help you if men harass you they will instead blame you. They protect and side with predators and abusers here.

Since the first of the year I have been tremendously disappointed with the management of RR Tavern. The small blonde female and the tall African American male have the nastiest demeanor with patrons. I have not been the subject of, but I have witnessed several occasions of their combative behavior. Unfortunately this attitude has empowered their employees to have the same attitude. (Bartenders excluded.) My regular attendance has been dwindling due to this. Most recently they've changed the inside layout. It's very compartmentalized and difficult to navigate when crowded. I feel the money would have been better spent creating two larger restrooms in a way that women don't have to be exposed to men actively urinating while waiting in line for their own restroom. I was not present when a very popular Austin cover band was ejected mid-show. But I was not surprised based on my recent experiences. A week ago I sent a message of complaint through their Facebook page and never received a response. Today I followed up on that complaint and was promptly blocked! Is this professional? WOW. So if you're looking for a night of aggravation and harassment, by all means you should visit RR Tavern. But if you're looking for a night of fun with live music and courteous staff, there are plenty of other venues nearby...some of them along the same street. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I have pressed charges today with your so-car security saying he doesn't have a reason but he wants me to leave and wouldn't tell me over and over (I have everything in camera) I told him to call the cops I would like the cops to escort me out and begged him to police call the cops because I don't feel safe with him! Instead hey grab me by my arm and push me shoving me out AND I HAVE IT ALLLLLLL ON VIDEO!!!! You don't shove people out and don't give them a reason you don't treat people like that. I don't know who this little Punk is but I have press charges and they have the video and will be looking for him soon!

When I initially arrived I thought this is a neat place! But then the ugliness came out. The rude nasty guy name Josh was racist toward patrons. He was swearing and threatening to the point where I felt unsafe. As I was leaving I saw him throwing someone out and it sounded like not a good reason.I could over hear the commotion. If this is how you treat your patron who keep you in business I will not return. This was my first and last visit!

Brought my friends for a party. We had a good time. Came back at 1:55 to go to the restroom and they have a person standing there blocking people from using the restroom, talkes to the manager and denied use of reatroom even though they weren’r closed yet. Not coming back.

I tried to seat at the bar with my wife this dude said I can’t. I have to make reservations for those seats online. I went online I couldn’t find it. I asked the the bartender for help on reserving those seats he couldn’t even locate the “make reservations for the chairs at the bar”. Come bro. Get a grip. This dude is a fraud. We shall never return. Thanks to that guy.

Vince up front just saved my life. I was just in a car accident and I crashed into granger lake and i thought i was done for until i saw a tall asian man grab out to reach for me. I dont know how to swim and if it wasnt for him i wouldve been gone for good. I got home later that day and really needed a drink and so i decided to go to RRT and what do u know, Vince was the bouncer! 10/10 would recommend. Bathrooms are hella crowded tho. Place wasnt the best but ill give u bonus points for saving me young man.

So got turned away because my shorts are supposedly basketball shorts when it’s a two piece outfit set and the dress code said no Athletic pants but because my shorts have a drawstring they are basketball shorts . Don’t ever go

I went out with my family on Sunday to enjoy a fun day together, but instead, we were treated with clear disrespect and discrimination. It quickly became obvious that we were not welcome — not because of anything we did, but simply because of our race. We were essentially thrown out for no justifiable reason. No one should have to experience this kind of treatment in 2025 — or ever. This business should be held accountable for fostering or tolerating such behavior. I hope they take a serious look at their practices and the people they employ. We will never return, and I urge others to consider carefully where they spend their time and money.
