We came for my birthday lunch and i would totally recommend! the chips were hot and have a good taste and the salsa was great , we ordered our food and got it within 10 minutes. All the food had good taste , 10/10 recommended! and the staff were very friendly

I have only had a few things at Santiago's but they are excellent. The street tacos are my go to and are constantly great and the margarita on the rocks is perfect.

Food was great with healthy portions. Drink selections were fantastic. Price was good and we received more than 2x the amount of food as we recently did at a famous Austin Mexican restaurant for less money. Environment seemed cheery and fun. Greeted warmly and thanked for coming when we left. The only complaint is that the outdoor chairs are terribly uncomfortable. The back of the chair is too far back so you have to sit perched up the whole time. When we go back, I’ll take a pillow.

Love their Cucumber margaritas they are thirst quenching. My husband likes the mexican martinis. Bartenders are on par. Definitely recommend.

We finally did and we got to meet and discuss EVERYTHING that happened to us! He genuinely cared and wanted to make it up to us. We didn't hold back and he genuinely listened. The food was amazing; just like it used to be! The atmosphere was amazing; so, Michael has 100 % won us back!! *****Update****** It pains me to write this since we've been regular and loyal customers from the beginning. My biggest complaint during our last visit is that our waitress was whispering so low we had to ask her to repeat EVERYTHING twice or even three times!!!! Not cute, you're too old for a baby voice!! The total atmosphere was very "off" and simply put, not the fun, energetic place it usually is. They said they would be in touch with me to further discuss what happened but, so far..... crickets! ________________________________ This is our 4th visit and it hasn't disappointed! Madison was our waitress and she was very attentive. My husband ordered chicken fried steak but, they mistakenly sent out chicken fried chicken. The manager quickly brought out the correct item and apologized. Not sure why they're getting such bad reviews but, I for one hope they succeed!

My boyfriend and I came out for our first date night in a while, and had a great experience. Lauren was our server and took great care of us. Her bubbly personality was very welcoming and refreshing to see. Our food was delicious as always. And the drinks were perfect. I’m pretty sure Marcelino was back there slinging the drinks. He’s an amazing bartender!

FANTASTIC! My last meal on this earth would be the chicken fajita Nachos Delight from Santiago's. I am not joking! This is the best Tex-Mex in the Austin Metro area. And I know my Tex-Mex! Also, the frozen margaritas are DELICIOUS! Trust me. You will be absolutely thrilled with your meal!

This place was so good! After having our bad experience at chuys, we still wanted tex mex! We were on the area and ate here. Our waistress was great, and she wasn't overwhelming. Food was so good and filling. They really load on the steak in my opinion. Margaritas are the perfect frozen consistency 😋 👌🏼

Being myfirst time as an adult in Austin I asked for a suggestion for lunch. Not far from the car dealership I was at was Santiago's Tex -mex and cantina. I will say the advise was well appreciated. Walking though the door the environment was lively and on inviting. I have to give the service a 9/10 because the chips and salsa hit the table very quickly, the food showed up supringly fast. I don't know exactly what the case was on this day, but the staff was very stiff. For the time of day I was there. This could be because post lunch fatigue or pre dinner rush dread, either way the staff felt almost robotic Let's talk about the food, The sweet tea was "slap your granny because her tea is trash compared to this" good. Out of the world even. Every morsel of food that hit the table was delicious, hot and screams authenticity. The yellow corn chips were beyond reproach. The salsa was ture Tex -mex and came in 2 varieties red and red. Now where Santiago's fell flat was on the queso, it was AVERAGE, I mean it's good but it's the same song and dance at every tex-mex place in the contiguous united states'. A little effort would of put it over the top. All and all great, quick, delicious. I give Santiago's Tex-Mex and cantina a solid 8/10 would bang again.

I've had bad experiences with Mexican restaurants, but this one has my full support. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is very pleasant, especially the patio, which feels very comfortable. I truly recommend it 100%. It's the best restaurant I've visited so far.

Hidden gem located in the Round Rock outlet mall. The grilled fish and shrimps tacos were very tasty and good portion size. The Street tacos are delicious and great portions. The servers are attentive. We highly recommend the margaritas! Love the chips and salsas. Highly recommend this restaurant with some of the best Mexican music.

Never noticed this place at the outlets! Glad I was referred to this place! It was a hidden gem right in front of our faces! Chips & Salsa is good. The salsa is homemade chunky. The Frozen Margaritas are really good! I got the frozen strawberry & mango mix with sugar and Tajín on the rim! Perfect combo! The beef is seasoned and tender on both the fajita plate and the nachos! $15 fajitas for the lunch special! Can’t beat that price! I highly recommend this place! Looking forward to coming back to try their other dishes and daily specials!

One of the best customer service I had in a restaurant, you move your hand or move your head apparently looking for something and they come to you quickly offering help and I’m not talking only about our waitress, I’m talking about every staff member that could be around you. We stopped here on our way back from a road trip and this place felt like a godsend. Drinks were good, both margaritas and micheladas with a variety of beer options. Food was delicious, good chips and salsa as well as good selection of the classic text mex with a hint of variety to keep it interesting (we got two different types of enchiladas and they were both delicious, I especially liked the play on mole on chicken enchiladas) Service was also good, they were accommodating and attentive.

I had a great meal at Santiago’s Tex-Mex and Cantina by the Round Rock outlets! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out pretty quickly. I ordered the enchiladas, and they were delicious. The chips and salsa were also really good—crispy chips and a tasty salsa with just the right amount of spice. The service was friendly, and the staff made sure we had everything we needed. Best food on my trip through Texas (so far). Been visiting Texas this past week and obviously tried a lot of food, but this is the first time we both actually said 'wow'. We had the Thursday special, which is the fajitas to share with beef and chicken, and it was really nice. And it was really affordable as well!

My family and I decided to try this Mexican place because it was right next to the mall and we were pleasantly surprised on how good the service was. We also had a few vegetarian dishes, such as the vegetarian nachos that had spinach, which was a first and very good. since it was the weekend, they also had Chilaquiles, which we also had with veggies instead of chicken and it was also very good. My son had the mac & cheese with some french fries two thumbs up. They had some drink specials and we tried that tequila sunrise as well as a margarita.. overall everything was very good. A little pricey for lunch, but I would definitely go back.

I'm not sure how this place has 3.7 cars. This is the best Tex-Mex we've ever had! Everything from the moment we walked in and hear the music, chips and salsa, beans and rice, tres leches cake, everything is outstanding! Their service is great, and the have a cool outdoor cornhole Court as well. We will definitely be back, even though it's about a 25-minute drive for us. I had the pastor street tacos, and the beans and rice were all fresh and tasted great. There's also it is fresh and has lots of fresh vegetables cut up in it. The chips are wonderful with the perfect amount of crispness and strength to Carry salsa. We also had nachos as an appetizer and they were outstanding as well. Seriously, top-notch food and service. Highly recommended!

Tried their Beef Fajita Nachos Deluxe and it thought it was alright. The beef is cut in squares and you have chopped onions, guacamole and jalapeños on the side. Im used to have caramelized onions in my nachos so chopped white onions was new to me. Chips is good. Nothing to brag about this place, so overall it was good.

Went last Monday had some great nachos supreme at the bar and a darn go margarita on the rocks and Jessica my bartender was on her game , also had some dynamite tres leches. Will be back for sure.

We typically come here after a baseball or football game and they can always get tables together for large parties (10-18) in a jiffy. We have always had really good service and food is good. This is a go to spot for a bigger group with kids looking for some decent food, good drinks and great service.

Me and some friends stopped at Santiago's last Friday. The food at Santiago’s was really good, and the place has a great vibe. Everything we ordered tasted fresh, and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. The only bad part was our server, Sergio. He wasn’t friendly, didn’t check on us, and seemed like he didn’t want to serve us at all. We had to ask more than once for basic things like water and napkins. Honestly, it felt like he treated us differently than other tables, and it came off as rude at best—maybe even a bit racist. I’d go back because the food and ambience were great, but I’d definitely ask for a different server next time.

The food was good, the prices were reasonable ($40-45ish before tip) for two entrees a couple of beers and a soda. The service was good and the people watching was entertaining. I wanted to go back later that night and play on the swings they had on the patio😁

Their Mexican martini was not very good. Their nachos were beans and meat completely smothered in white cheese, but the carnitas meat was tender and tasty. There are lots of better choices nearby.

Decent tex-mex with an expensive menu not the most popular of Mexican restaurants probably bc you can get just as good Mexican food at another restaurant for cheaper. In a highly expensive area for shopping so thats probably why the price is as high as it is.

It's ok. I went with a group of friends. The server was very nice but more reactive rather than proactive. We sat outside which was lovely. The food is mediocre. Drinks were pretty good. Women's bathroom was clean but one toilet was not working properly. Looks like a fine place for families, there is a playground. Improvements could be made concerning anticipating guests needs and wants. Biscuits sounded delicious but were less than.

This was a good place to eat if you don’t want to wait on a Friday night. The food was normal Tex Mex. They messed my daughter’s order up terribly and she specifically told our waitress she had a dairy allergy. She had eaten there many times with no problem on the dairy. But tonight she sent it back 2 times and decided not to send it back a third time. So she left without eating!

Came here for an early dinner, its run of the mill Tex mex. Their refried beans were really good, my picky 8 year old approved! The service was hit or miss. Most of the employees were friendly, but our server didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, and wasn’t very friendly or attentive.

Ordered delivery. Usually we are pleased with the restaurant but watch out ordering delivery. Breakfast tacos were subpar and I ordered a side of avocado. Paid almost $4 for it and got less than 2 ounces of avocado. Just enough to make me mad. I realize it was delivery but come on...

Great location 👌 and the food was great. The only thing I did not like was that they charge extra for everything!! Like come on if you ordered tacos it's supposed to come with salsa!! They charged me $1.99 for a condiment !!! shrimps!! The server mentioned it's a $6.99 extra which i said ok. I thought it would be 6 shrimps like other restaurants i visited instead it only came a serving of 4. The server return and mention to me that it was a mistake that it will cost me $11.99!! That's ridiculous... this was my first time visiting here.Since a client of my recommended displace.So I decided to stop by with my family. I will not return to this location.

The food was not up to par with the prices. The only good thing about my visit was the drinks. We were given a lunch special menu to order from and then told that it was only available after we ordered. If I had been made aware prior to ordering I would have ordered some kind of seafood instead of crazy over priced chimichanga.

Waiter was attentive but seemed annoyed to be serving us. Food was generic - not bad but not great. Alcoholic drinks were mostly all alcohol - which is fine if you want to get drunk and not enjoy the drink.

Not bad but mixed drinks are about $20 or more apiece. Slasa was good but had a ton of onions in it. And I love onions but still a little much for me. Over all ok. I'd probably eat there again one day.

The service was good, the environment was clean, the happy hour was happy, chips and salsa were superb, and the taquitos we're good, but nothing to write home about in a little bland. This would have been a four-star review if I would have gotten a really nice grilled pepper on the plate. Good Tex Mex, but the competition is strong in that genre here in Williamson county, so to survive the inevitable sands of Time, a spark needs to be provided in one of the critical three of every restaurant: service, ambiance, food. I recommend the food be taken up just one more notch, and you will see four and five star reviews.

My husband was very happy with his entrée, but I may have chosen poorly with mine. They have very good chips and queso. The service was great, very attentive and caring staff. I will say that the alcoholic beverages seem to be pricey, but that could have been due to the location.

Food was missing seasoning compare to other Tex-Mex restaurants. I couldn’t eat the food because the food tasted weird. I wasn’t charged for the meal and restaurant apologized. They have the Queso and chips and I will definitely go back for more .

I ordered the fajitas tacos combo (steak and chicken). I can't have dairy so I put no cheese and sour cream but when the order was delivered there was very little food. When you are charging almost 16-17 dollars for a fajita combo, I'd expect more than 2 pieces of meat in the taco and 4 slices of onions. I'm glad I did not end up ordering the fajitas for 1. I would not order from here again.

Had accidentally posted to the wrong location. This review is meant for this place by the outlets. The food was very delicious such as the other Santiago in the area. Got my usual drinks and food. However, the experience for this location was tainted by their waitress, Alexandra. Very cold, not customer friendly oriented. Not even a friendly “Hello, how are you?” When they didn’t offer something, “no we don’t have that”. Could she not have apologized and offered something similar? Did her job with minimal effort and with a chip on her shoulder. She did however have a big smile and more energy when she was wrestling around with her peers but not with her customers. She would probably have had a smile and more pep in her step if GRATUITY wasn’t already added to the check. She got her money, no matter the level of service she provided.

Been here a few times and food/service was good overall. But the last time we went, will most likely be our final. Our waitress Alexandra M. was super unwelcoming, not even a slight smile when my family and I greeted her. But had no problem adding an automatic gratuity of 20% for our party 🤔 Brought our checks out asap, didn't even bother to ask if anybody wanted dessert. She was cleaning off the table while we were still finishing our food and asking us to hand her things to clear it so we'd leave faster 🤦‍♀️

The server was polite. The food was mediocre. What will prevent me from coming back is deceptive pricing. You can’t list a premium margarita for 15.99 with choice of tequila, list your tequila selections and not provide details of an up-charge. My 15.99 margarita was billed for 25.99 on my check. When presented, I was advised I ordered a super premium margarita and that it was an additional 10.00, though they do not advise this. I won’t be back and I won’t recommend.

I had some chicken enchiladas but it was not shredded as what is on the menu.. it was chopped and a little hard.

Horrible experience! I stop with my family for some drinks and we found a cockroach in our water. When asked to speak to the manager she came out and I explained to her that I wanted to make her aware that we found this critter in the water. The manager walked back to the kitchen and after a while everyone in the kitchen keep staring at us. The manager came out and stated that it appeared that the bug was placed there because she checked her ice machine and there was nothing. I was so disappointed when she said such thing that the cockroach might have fallen in after being out of the kitchen. I was expecting more professionalism from her other than calling me a lier for raising up an issue at her restaurant. I will never come back nor recommend it to anyone.

The female day shift manager has a disgusting attitude. I requested chips and salsa and when she returns to bring them she throws the chips on the table and tosses the salsa at my husband and I. Not only that she played the staring contest the rest of the time we were eating. When I went to make a complaint on her both shift managers did not want to provide the information of her name or someone above her to make the complaint. I will not ever return to this place nor will I ever recommend any family or friends here. So sad because the food is actually good. Find good quality employees and not just random people off the street. So trashy.

Went for lunch today with my wife. The waiter came by to take our plates and we asked for sopapillas. Never saw the waiter again. Over an hour later we asked another waitress for our check since we werent going to wait for the sopapillas any longer. The waiter came back with the check and said they were out of sopapillas. When i was why he didnt tell us that an hour ago he shrugged. How long was he going to let us sit there and wait for the sopapillas? Very frustrating.

Not the place for me, food was blane and management doesn't have people skills, information from passed through this establishment isn't the same to all- and no big party accommodations, or any place near this restaurant they management informed me. 🤔 So, in essence not the place for Us. Nuggets were not good.

I checked in here with my family. We were seated pretty quick.However, when we were seated to our table we were not attended. Multiple waiters passed by and did not greet or attended us. We waited about 10 minutes and nothing. Mind you this place was not even busy. They did not bother to give us chips and salsa. As an active duty soldier of the U.S Army, I felt really disrespected. I was not in uniform but me and my family were not treated right. We did not feel welcomed.I normally don’t pull out the race card. It felt like they don’t like to serve Hispanics. It was a slow day. They were attending other customers. I can’t think of why we had shity service. Hence, we decided to not eat there and left the establishment. Just sharing my experience.

Went during typical "happy hour" thinking they may have a special on margaritas like every other mexican place. Ordered the small margarita without even checking thinking it'd for sure be less than $10. Came in a tiny cup, MAYYYBBE 8oz, and it was $12!!!! It tasted heavily like cheap margarita syrup and cheap tequila, the type of margarita that does nothing but give you heartburn. DISAPPOINTED considering this is close to my house. Not to mention, the ONE bartender was at the bar twice the entire 45 min I was there. Won't be back.

Went there for my sister's birthday and felt bad I recommended the place! First time for both of us and the service and food were bad. I ordered a fajita taco à la carte and it was greasy from the outside...when I told the waiter he took it back and never even asked me if I wanted another one? The fried ice cream tasted stale....when we told the waiter he just stared at us. I was still charged for it. The waiter wasn't even friendly and hardly came by our table although it was not busy at all. Would not recommend....food was just OK, service was not good.

FIRST AND LAST TIME!! A few weeks ago, I went to this restaurant for lunch with my grandson. I ordered a lunch special and a skinny margarita, my grandson had a kids meal. When the waitress brought the bill, I noticed it was $46.54. I told the waitress this must be a mistake, I only ordered one margarita and was charged $20. She said "there was no mistake". I asked for the manager and told him I ordered a skinny margarita and why am I being charged $20. It's not like I requested anything special like top shelf. He just said, " That's just what they cost" with an attitude. By no means is this place considered a high end, upscale, fine dining restaurant, perhaps I would understand if that were the case. Since then I've gone to Burro's Tex Mex Bar and Grill and Masfajita's in Round Rock. There skinny margarita's are half the cost and even better as well as the food. Not just that, the only time the waitress ever came back to the table was to give me the bill. I WILL NEVER RETURN, NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY.
