The owners are super kind people and the service was the best I've seen in forever. Only thing I could say about it all is that there's not a ton of seating inside the diner.

Food was excellent. Service was prompt and welcoming. Prices were awesomely low. We got a mix of lunch and breakfast and every left happy and full.

This IS THE PLACE for a fulfilling breakfast, which provides my favorite meal of eggs, home fries, toast and your choice of meats. Next time I visit, I want to order their corned beef hash to accompany my eggs which are cooked to my preference!

We vacationed in the Lake Champlain region this past week. We found this restaurant the day before the end of our vacation. We had breakfast there on Friday and Saturday morning. Our waiter was awesome! Super polite, and right on point. There were 6 of us today for breakfast, and just like yesterday, everyone’s food was perfectly cooked, and nice and hot. The coffee was great too! Two thumbs up to this little gem!

It's been 2 years since I have eaten here because of the virus. It's been great to return and learn that the food and service is as great as it's always been.

Excellent food, great friendly service, good value for the money and breakfast anytime. I had a western omelet. My wife had the reuben sandwich with fries that was one of the lunch specials. Everything was delicious and the fries were home made. Lots of locals having lunch and visiting with each other. We will definitely eat here again.

The poached eggs are cooked to perfection. Service is always friendly and efficient. The prices are more than fair and the restaurant and washrooms are always clean. I heartily recommend this diner. Do yourself a favour and visit here!

Great roadside diner! I stopped here on the way back from a weekend in Montreal, it's just across the border at the Champlain border crossing, so that was very convenient. The food was very tasty, portions were generous and prices were reasonable, everything I hope for when stopping at a diner! I'll definitely stop in again if I'm back up in the area.

This is a must taste stop on our trips through Rouses Point. Eggs, bacon, toast and home fries were all Perfect! Everything was hot and tasted amazing. Coffee was great and service was exceptional, I can't even complain about the bill.

I admit, I was skeptical based on the outside but the inside is a neat, charming little country diner with friendly and efficient service. Breakfast was tasty (recommend the pancakes and omelets), and the selection of pies and cake available for takeout good. Definitely plan to have breakfast there again!

We have to stop here whenever our family makes a trip to Plattsburgh. It's our favorite spot! Staff is the friendliest! They are always accommodating to my picky eaters. We always leave happy and full. Portions are great and their prices are not expensive at all. We'll be back!

We stopped in for lunch and found they serve breakfast all day which I enjoy. I ordered corn beef hash with eggs and toast and my wife ordered a burger. Both came at the same time and looked delicious. There was jelly at the table but the waitress asked if I wanted peanut butter or marmalade for my toast. I ask for marmalade which was brought quickly. My wife's burger did have lettuce or tomato. We asked the waitress for these plus onion which was brought quickly on a plate. The food was delicious and the hamburger was large with plenty of really good French fries which we both enjoyed. We will be back.

Being from Michigan I had to try the "Michigan" on their menu. It was a coney style hot dog topped with ground beef and onions served on a toasted bun. I ordered it with macaroni salad and optional onion rings. Everything was delicious! The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful with our order. We would definitely go back if we were in the area again.

Every Sunday they have Eggs Benedict, and its perfectly cooked every time I go. No runny white with a nice runny yolk. It's the only place I go for them. Everything is is good too, and their pies are amazing.

First visit Friday evening. Diner was busy but clean tables were available and service was quick. Our BLT Wraps were very good as were the fries. We got a piece of Lemon Meringue pie to go and wished we had gotten two. Recommend Best Friends Family Diner and expect to be back soon.

This place was a delightful surprise. I'm not from the North Country, so was unfamiliar with it. When we walked in, it was clearly mostly locals in the place and we didn't know what to expect. They had an extensive menu, and we were both very pleased with what we had. Also, because it was busy when we arrived, we sat at a long table. We had a couple of people who sat next to us who turned out to be quite friendly and that was nice too. Our waitress was good, the food was very good, and it was also very reasonably priced. I saw several meals going by that looked like something I would want to try in the future as well. It is diner food, so do set your expectations for that, but if we get back to the area, we will definitely eat here again! Highly recommend.

Awesome all around. Food was great diner food, at a great price and Jessica was an awesome server. We stopped because of the poutine. Closest you can get to Canada and get Poutine. The border station is visible from the parking lot. They have all day breakfast which my mother enjoyed, I got the fried seafood special they had. My wife and stepdad got the Michigans, an interesting take on a Chili dog with two sides. All the meals we got were between 9-12 bucks. Server was friendly and attentive even though it was busy and we were not local. Honestly if I didn’t live 7 and a half hours from them it would be my new go to when I go out to eat!

Very reasonable diner with a good range of food on the menu. Nothing too fancy on the menu, but everything you'd expect from a diner. The food we ordered was tasty and arrived quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful - gave good recommendations on what to order! Very conveniently located if you're about to cross the border into Canada - the border is actually visible from the parking lot!

Great service, good food (too much salt on the potatoes), but a bit pricy for breakfast. Hash browns were an additional $2 for every meal, so just kind of a ripoff that they aren't included like every other diner in the northeast. For four of us it was $45, definitely a little more than I like to pay for run-of-the-mill breakfast food. Overall a good atmosphere, and the coffee is very decent.

There was inadequate wait staffing. The food remains well prepared in a timely way, but the one waitress was running trying to serve 4 tables simultaneously. She did quite well. However, we wondered if she could handle. It. Things have improved. Most customers seem unconcerned about apparent delays as they meet friends and make new acquaintenances while away the time. I had their seafood special yesterday. It was delightful.

Nothing special--but we didn't want anything special. It was convenient, affordable, friendly, eatable, warm, not-crowded-- fit our needs nicely. Good bathroom always a plus. Good parking. We'll b regular customers.

A very clean and lovely place for breakfast and comfort food. The food was absolutely fantastic. They are so very busy and the owner confided that they're in need of a kitchen expansion. You can wait a long time to get your food but the owner very graciously gave us some money off the bill because of the long wait. I believe that once they get all the kinks out etcetera that they're going to do well.

I've never had a bad experience at Best Friends and I've been going there for years. Probably over 100 visits at this point. Food is always good and is at a great price. Service is always quick and friendly. It's a typical diner atmosphere, and is usually very busy. Take out is available but they sometimes forget items in the order, so eating in is preferred.

Been a 3 times first two were great but this last time I was not pleased. There were 4 costumers my wife and I order the sausage gravy and biscuits it took about 15 minutes and came out cold. When it was taken back to the kitchen they put our plates in the microwave.

My husband myself and my son ate here. Food came out separately because some food just was not done at the same time. The food that did come out was cold and under cooked and gross. The hot dogs were microwaved, the corned beef hash with my eggs was uncooked, all the french fries were soggy and nasty. Overall the food was disgusting. And most things on the menu came from Sam's Club and they couldn't even cook that. Don't recommend waisting your time or your money!

Almost all the entrees are fried and soup was salty. I ordered a not deep fried steak which was not the NY strip listed. Only one server for 15 tables. But wait staff is a problem everywhere.

Absolutely terrible. Tried a bite of each item of food and stopped eating instantly. Food was inedible. Grilled cheese Bread was cheap, thin white bread with a slice of processed kraft cheese just to hold the bread together. Greasy French fries were greasy and soggy Boyfriend ordered a burger. Frozen patty with squished bun and the cheese on top wasn’t even melted. Macaroni salad was hard. No flavor and tasted OLD. Drive another 30 minutes and go somewhere decent. I don’t even know why we paid for our meal. I’ve never been to a restaurant this terrible. What a mistake.

Ordered three meals, the wife's, mine an my daughters. ALL THREE WERE DISGUSTING! My fries were soggy and my burger tasted like raw meat! The burger was well done an still tasted raw. Nasty. Wife's Alfredo was also DISGUSTING! Tasted like a powder sauce that had not been fully blended. My daughter will eat anything! She took one bite, gaged an refused to touch any more. Here is a real review. Take it or leave it. I know we will not be back! Nor will we recommend. On the plus side, it was cheap an at least it looked an smelled good. But that's as far as it went

Sadly, through the years, I wanted to stop and try that diner many times. Today was the day. As I was driving by and plenty of time in front of me. I decided to bring my wife for an afternoon dinner. As I went in, I noticed that they closed at 2 pm, it was 2:05. So I asked if they were still open....NO was the answer. Just remember something... there is no replacement customer.

Usually a great place all around never a complaint! tonight was not good! Waited 20 min for "our" server meanwhile 3 people that came in after us ordered and had there food before we even ordered then our meal came out without the fry's, a chicken lettuce tomato and mayo sandwich came out with only bread and chicken then 10 min after not getting our fries the cook was sending out other orders with fry's while we still didn't have ours and the rest of our food was now cold. Not to mention 9.25 for 3 chicken tenders (more like 3" nuggets) Ended up just walking out still hungry and Disappointed....

Food looked like it got dropped on floor and put bak into plate was sopposed to be meatloaf can't tell that from picture and it taste terrible I wish I could post the pic
