We went here 2 weeks ago it being our first since this whole pandemic started. The restaurant was really clean, the staff was eager and friendly and the food was delicious. They've downsized there hash brown options but still great. They're really good about social distancing and maintaining everyone's safety. Happy to see them open and running again.

I’ve been to many a Waffle House, and think this is one of the better ones. Food is always on point, especially the waffles. I drive 20 minutes to this location instead of the one by my house because the waffles are 🤌 Service has always been friendly. Some of these comments think they should be getting fine dining wait staff - this is “diner service”. And it’s wonderful.

It was my first time there and it was the best food ever! Every one of the employees came over and talked to us, smiled and happy and made us and all the other customers feel very welcome! 3 of the guys working there are from Southern California....specifically the San Fernando Valley, the same as me. The Waffle House we visited was in the Garland, Texas area. It was the best ever!!! Highly recommended!!!

I have seen poor reviews of this new waffle house, but we have never had a bad time here. The food comes out right, the staff is nice, the restaurant is clean, and we are served promptly. There are a couple “old school” waitresses who seem to have taken the younger ones under their wing, which is great. I’d recommend this location!

Very attentive waitress Jakie greeted us and held the door for my older father. She expertly directed us to convenient seating and had our menus in a flash. Food is reasonably priced and quite good. Parking lot very convenient as well.

This is my favorite waffle house in the entire DFW area. My son and I come here every Saturday morning for breakfast. The staff is simply amazing. You have to come see Miss Brenda, Story and manager. Stephen is absolutely amazing as well. The team back here cooking the food is fast efficient, welcome you and I don’t recommend going to any other house but this waffle house in Sachse. TEAM knows exactly what they’re doing and they run like a well machine.

Imane was such a wonderful person. The food was fantastic,along with the service. The atmosphere was not so much. Some old lady (worker) came in complaining and belittling Imane to the point where it made her cry. I don’t even understand why someone would do that to a sweetheart like Imane. Once Imane gave me her kidney after I was diagnosed with kidney failure. She saved my life and gave me another opportunity to live. The older worker made it a very uncomfortable atmosphere and almost spoiled my experience. Imane saved the day by providing such amazing service. .

Traffic was backed up so I stopped in to check it out, clean store, the waitresses were working hard, the food was good, I also ordered a waffle and it was really good. It cost a lot more then I remember when growing up. Overall it was a good experience and I'll bring the family next time. I am still amazed at how they are able to take orders, keep the food hot, and bring everyone their food. The coffee is typical coffee and needed a lot of cream and sugar, but it is waffle house. Cheap, fast, breakfast food.

I mean what can you say about the food the service in the atmosphere, it's the Waffle House. Today's visit was exceptional as you can see by the happy waffle photograph they knocked this one out of the park. The waffle was exceptional (I ordered extra crispy and that is exactly what I got) service was okay but it was lunch so that's to be allowed. The young lady had a pleasant attitude and was handsomely rewarded for her effort. After all, attitude can turn a mediocre situation into a great one.

Server and food was great! I work in the food industry and I am very understanding when some stuff can’t get done right away after a rush and being understaffed especially. Only thing that made me worried was how the manager came in and immediately told our server in a disrespectful way (in front of us) to do something when our server was explaining to her why she couldn’t get stuff done. Despite that our server was still sweet and nice to us. I wish they treated their workers better and be more understanding because it is not easy working in the food industry and having to not only deal with rude and impatient customers but also your employees and managers being like that too.

My wife, and son and I needed to run some errands and had time to stop somewhere for breakfast. So naturally, as it’s one of my wife’s favorite places, Waffle House was our destination. Though we have been patrons of Waffle House most of our lives, we have never been to this location. Now some locations, that have been there a while, are like what I like to say, “seasoned” more than others. You most likely understand what I’m saying. Things are not exactly as clean as other establishments. But depending on the severity of that, it adds to the experience. Kind of like using a cast iron skillet that’s been passed down a couple generations. It just makes the food taste better that one that is brand new. But as we walked into this location, I immediately notice that it was the best of both worlds. Though the location has been here a little while, you get the cleanliness of a new location and the “seasoning” of one that’s been there a while. I hope my euphemism is understood. To the food, I get the two egg plate, over easy with ham and hash browns peppered, and wheat toast. My wife gets the all star, scramble eggs, bacon, raisin toast, and hash browns scattered smother and covered. She also gets a pecan waffle for our son. Everything was absolutely great. The only complaint isn’t really a this location complaint, because I’ve noticed this at a couple locations. The waffles are different. They are thinner and now they have “Waffle House” stamped in the middle, in case you forget where you’re at. The changing of the waffles is one of the reasons I don’t order them anymore. But if you like them, cool. Go for it. But I recommend this location. Everyone who we interacted with, was great.

Worked 13 hour shift last night, went to bed hungry. The Waffle House here certainly refilled my calories. The bacon was excellent, was thick and gigantic. Folks who like their bacon limp won’t appreciate it though. Compared to IHOP and Denny’s, everything here was much better. No lack of butter on the toast. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside, tender in the middle layer. Coffee was what I expected from a semi-fast food place. Certainly not Peet’s Brazil single-sourced coffee, you know what I mean. I poured all the creamer. They gave me in there and gave it a good walloping of sugar. Once it tasted like an ice cream sundae the blandness was irradiated. I need to mention the service, because it was top notch. Left over 20% tip. It has been so many years since I have been to a Waffle House; reminds me of high school days’ culinary arts program. This is how a kitchen should be ran.

Waitress was busy with dishes, cleaning tables and running the register plus helping the cook. We ordered a waffle and sausage. Got the waffle but never got the sausage until we got her attention and she apologized and cooked it herself because the so called cook had some personal problem. Not very happy with the Sachse Waffle House!

Like most waffle houses this place service the same quality of food. However the service here was impeccable. The staff was nice and very quick with our food. Our only issue that night was the sticky tables before we got there.

Friendly service, it took a while for someone to take our order but we enjoyed our meals. Water cup had a slightly egg smell but it looked clean.

Came here to eat. Pretty lonely and quiet and somewhat dirty. Workers seemed surprised people were coming in and didn’t seem like she wanted to be there but she was extremely nice and patient with us. Food was somewhat decent, just regular Waffle House food.

12/31/25: My wife and stopped by for brunch and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Our order came out pretty quick, and it was freshly made. I put some money in the juke box to listen to music while we were eating, and left some credits for the employees to jam to. This restaurant is very clean, and we have never encountered any drama here. The bathrooms are clean, and there is plenty of parking outside. 11/6/24: We went for brunch and the restaurant was not very busy. Kris was our host, and he was very friendly and attentive. We placed our order and the food arrived pretty quick. Everything was great! The sausage hash brown was very good, and the breakfast plate was perfect! The waffle was really good too. The restaurant was very clean, and there was plenty of parking. 8/6/22: We went around 2am, and Lauren greeted us. There wasn't a lot of customers dining in. Lauren was very friendly, and our food came out pretty quick. We had a hash brown bowl and a grits bowl. We appreciated how Lauren took care of us.

I mean....its a waffle house. It's cheap, old-fashioned and quick. Not great and not terrible. Server was sweet. Toast was cold as always. Not hot enough to melt the butter. I ordered over medium eggs. They were runny with runny whites. Waffle was decent. Hash browns are actually very good. Hell we still had fun and enjoyed it. Like I said, it's just a waffle house.

One of the better Waffle House locations. Friendly staff with good service and good food. I've visited Waffle House in a few states now and this one is a star above the rest. We enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone traveling especially if you haven't tried it yet. It's the old school home style food you crave.

The food was delicious. Our server, Zoe, was excellent. However, one of the staff behind d the counter, cooking food, had long dresd locks that were free falling g over his face as he cooked food. Being ServSafe certified and having worked in the food industry for years, I can tell you this is unacceptable. I didn't find any hair in my food this time but it is only a matter of time. Plus, if the standards are lowered to please him, they will have to be lowered to please someone else. Then, you have an unsafe kitchen for sure. Waffle House: Please ensure your employees are uniform and complying with FDA and OSHA standards.

Be careful of them trying to charge you for take out order one guy tried to put extra 2 dollars for no reason if it wasn’t for zaria and me being a regular who knows they charge and calling them out they went from 16 to 13$ not about the money but the type of things you can see there is a togo menu make sure you only pay for taxes on that

Small place with basic breakfast (& other meals too). The signature product was not one of the better waffle experiences. The eggs were ordered as omelette but the appearance on the plate was more like scrambled. The kind of meals that we ordered are prepared much better at home. Unless one is on the road with nowhere else to eat, surely one can search for alternatives.

OMG. I love Waffle House. I love having the food freshly cooked. I eat here all the time, but tonight was not good. The lone person taking orders named “Q” was engrossed in a conversation with an old friend. He practically ignored us until a coworker called him out for his poor service. Then he proceed to take the cute little girls order before ours as well. Then he hurriedly came over to finally help us. Now there is a strong gas smell as well, and no one seems concerned. Lord I hope we don’t die in an explosion here waiting on some bacon and eggs. At least the food is good.

I am very disappointed. I worked for waffle house while I went through college and it was a great experience. The cook at this location was amazing! He prepared EVERY part of my order. The cashier behaved as if serving me was a huge inconvenience to her. This is a Monday evening and I am literally the only customer there! I've just spent 36.00 on breakfast and my waffles looked awful. She tried to pack them up and I said, "no, those need to be made right ". Instead of pouring the batter she told the cook to do it again. I had to ask if she was new and she said no. I wish a manager had been present because this waitress needed better training or to go home because she served no purpose there. I did leave a tip for the cook.

Good morning. This morning between 5:30-6:15 I ate at this location. My server took my order. Senior meal, hash browns, egg over light, bacon, raisin toast dry. Extra egg. - Senior meal, $6.50 + extra egg c50. + c50 + $1.00 surcharge. = $8.50. When I asked my server why the bacon was extra she said that’s just the way it is so she charged me four dollars and change I think. This same server has done this several times. And let me know I need to go to someone higher up. Show my meal was above $12 total. When I went to the register to pay for it, another lady said this is not right and reduced it back down to $8.50 I believe. Anyway, I paid for my reduced price meal eight dollars plus . Additionally, FYI, I had three eggs on my plate, but had to ask for my bacon and was charged extra for it . This is not the first time it happened at this particular store the same server. The store is closer to where I’m remodeling a grocery store. I have been going to another waffle house just to avoid this one. I would like to give thanks to the lady who corrected my check at the register .

Because of an executive order, the Waffle House's new policy is to charge me a service charge fee, leave a tip, and a 20% to go fee. I'm super disappointed in Waffle House new policy

Overpriced when purchasing in store! Better off, purchasing the food online and picking up from restaurant. Ordered a cheesesteak with hashbrowns and ended up paying $14, I get home and look at the sandwich come to find out they skimped out on the meat. Very disappointed, first time buying from here, don’t see myself coming back again. Bread soggy, and sandwich not well presented.

Waiter was fine. My bacon cheeseburger not so much. On my first bite some mixture of grease and blood(?) filled my mouth, the bacon was undercooked as well as the burger. My friends bacon in his hash brown bowl was basically burnt. How does that even happen?

The service in this establishment needs major improvement. I wasn't greeted but instead made to feel as if I was bothering them. Travis was rude, Mary was rude as well. I ordered my food Togo after the long wait, with no explanation. I ended up cancelling. In truth, anyone can make eggs bacon and a waffle, the MAIN reason people spend there money is for the experience. Rude in a customer service driven business is damaging to brand loyalty. The Regional or district manager should pay more attention to the quality of there personnel.

Unfortunately this is the closest waffle house to me and as much as I love waffle house, both times I ate here was unpleasant. The 2nd time I vomited. The grits were disgusting.

Went for dinner. Wasn't even greeted when we came in. Found a booth and sat down. No one came to our table for 20 minutes. We ordered it took another 15 minutes for our drinks. Mind you we were the only people in the restaurant. The supposed boss was sitting at the counter watching videos on his phone. Our waiter was nice but DAMN a snail works faster than her. Should have read the reviews. The worst Waffle House I’ve ever been to. Last night, 5/26, arrived with 3 friends to a half closed off store. That’s fine, short staffed we get it. Tables dirty so we stood and waited. One lady, assume a staff member? Was on a break taking up a booth but on her phone. Server didn’t give us a time of day. Left the table unbussed. Chit chatted and made it very clear we were not getting served and should leave. Upon leaving we hear a gentleman get told “eff you B**ch” because he made a comment about no one doing their job. Go. Elsewhere. Will for not be back and will definitely spread the word.

The waitress was very rude to me by responding to me with lots of attitude. Pretty sure her name was Hannah.

Food was good, service from the hostess was horrible. She sat people that came after us first, I’m assuming they where regulars because they came in greeting all the workers. I was on the way to the bathroom and the hostess came out of the restroom I asked if she was cleaning the bathroom so I wouldn’t interrupt and she said no. As I closed the door she said “you clean it” luckily our waitress was very nice and kind. I personally am not coming back again, due to the rude behavior from the hostess.

Me and my group used to go in there all the time and tip really well but all of a sudden we get banned for absolutely no reason by Carrie. She won’t give a reason that we are banned except that she feels “uncomfortable” when we have done nothing to make her feel that way. Anytime we go in there she said she feels uncomfortable to serve us and usually we just leave. We went in there tonight after a few months and she said the same thing and we questioned what we did to make her feel that way and she hasn’t given a reason.

Waited over 30 minutes to get a seat. I was by myself and there were plenty of seats open. The lady sitting people passed me up multiple times for people who came in after me. But she couldn’t be bothered because she had to play the damn jukebox. I got tired of waiting and left. Do not come to this one, you’ll get ignored and won’t be able to be seated.

Service was HORRIBLE. My boyfriend and I came in late night, sat down at the booth, and asked to order to go. We waited at least 20 minutes just to get our order taken, while the workers were taking peoples orders who came in after us! We spoke up and tried to get our order taken after seeing that and then the workers started arguing about who was supposed to take our order. They finally took our order and then we had to wait at least another 40 minutes to get our food, while the whole time they kept taking other orders and giving food to people who came in AFTER us, both dine in and take out. It was extremely ridiculous how they had us waiting there for at least an hour while barely servicing us and then had the nerve to charge us automatic gratuity and a to go fee as if they deserved it. Worst waffle house I’ve been to and that’s saying a lot!

I will never come here again… I waited almost 40 minutes for an online to-go order meanwhile everyone who came in after me got their food. Mind you it was 5pm on a Wednesday and it was very slow.. only 3 tables inside. To top it all off they gave me extremely watery grits. I would have ordered hash browns if I knew they were going to be water. If they didn’t take so long to make the food to begin with I would have had them give me hash browns instead, but I had somewhere to go.

I’ve been here during the nights and we’ve had a bad experience with the server called “heidi” she would roll her eyes at us when we asked her for food and she would give us our food with a bad attitude and not once did she come to our table to ask if we needed anything.

The absolute worst service I’ve ever had in any Waffle House. I will definitely never come to this location again. Waffles weren’t cooked, hash browns burnt, eggs cold. They have kids here tonight that are more interested in playing and carrying on their own conversations rather than waiting on customers. There’s definitely a need for adult supervision at this location. Tables are nasty. There’s only 2 tables with people. My family had to practically serve ourselves (Silverware, Napkins, etc). The cooks nor the other employees helping with food had gloves on or hair nets on. They would not clean any tables (you had to ask to have your table cleaned), instead they would stack dirty dishes on the bar area and leave them there. Each person that ordered food had to wait at least 20 if not 30 minutes for food to be put on the griddle or in the waffle maker for your order to be fulfilled while they played and talked.

They have half the restaurant closed with a full staff . We came in with 4 adults and 2 kids and were told to wait for two booths to open up…. Like why don’t you just open the other side and sit us? Why even have half the restaurant closed when it’s already a small restaurant!

If I could I would give this place a 0. The only thing good was the waffles but everything else sucked. The eggs had no flavor and they were cold. Inside was nasty and the tables were dirty. This is my first time going to Waffle House and it did not live up to the hype. Idk how people think the food (apart from the waffles) are good.

I went to this place around 11pm - Leave around 11:58 . And i ordered the food . i HAVE to wait around 30 minutes for the burger . And then when i paid my bill , The one who take care my table did cashier for me . Then my friend asking him for to go box. He just ignore it . He dont even wanna give it for my friend . I asked for SECOND time .Then THIRD time my friend tryna ask again for the to go box , he asked my friend a question kinda like " did you guy plan for a tip ? " . Got food poisoning a few days ago. Came back to the store to inform the manager about the incident. She didn’t help much so she got the unit manager. Unit manager, already approach’s me in a bother manner/tone. I explained that I got food poisoning from his unit, he wanted to argue about how clean they are. Then told me it’s nothing he could do for me & proceeds to help the lady behind me. Completely dismissing me before I’m even done talking. Very rude & distasteful behavior. Recommended 0/10.

2 hour wait just to be told to leave by the manager. Its a shame as this was my local establishment for years. Heads up for anyone thinking about coming here. It's waffle house so the food taste like waffle house. The only difference between each restaurant is the Management and the personnel. I have been at this location a dozen times. This time we entered and waited out turn. The person who was supposed to be seating me and my daughters crossed my name off and skipped over me 4 times. When I approached her about it she said that's fine. She packed us in so tight in the front she pushed a grown man against my 9 year old daughter putting his crotch in her face. I had to move my daughter. This was so appalling I had to leave after waiting 45 minutes. Carolyn was disrespectfull, she crossed boundaries and ruined my morning. My kids love coming to waffle house for the environment and left saying they felt uncomfortable and violated.

Review: Disappointing Service Experience I typically don't leave reviews, but our experience with Kari, the server, was truly disappointing. From the moment we sat down, she was rude and inattentive. The night assistant manager had to step in and seem to get the menu for us, but she finally brought it to us. The food wasn’t served as we requested. I asked for hashbrowns with jalapeños, and my husband wanted his bacon crispy. When the food arrived, my hashbrowns had no jalapeños, and my husband's bacon was soft. When I asked Kari about it, she went back to the kitchen, brought jalapeños separately, and took the bacon to cook again. But as she handed the bacon back, she loudly told the cook to "burn the bacon," not once but twice, making sure we heard. I had to get up and ask the cook, who was polite and reassured me that she wouldn’t burn it. Even after that, the service didn’t improve. Kari ignored us to the point where we waited over 25 minutes after my husband finished his meal, and she still hadn't asked if he was ready for his waffle. When I finally got up to ask, she rudely cut me off, saying she was taking someone else’s order. The entire experience was frustrating, and Kari’s attitude was unacceptable. I hope management addresses this, as it really affected our meal.

I arrived today at approximately 1:55 PM with my family of four. Although the restaurant was busy, the wait time was reasonable. Once a table became available, we were seated, but unfortunately, we waited for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. This was extremely disappointing, as it was the first time I have experienced such service at this location. We love Waffle House and typically prefer this location due to its proximity to our home, the quality of food, and the level of service. However, the experience we had today has definitely made us reconsider returning in the future.

I know you should never order a steak from a waffle house. But my brother-in-law did worst experience ever. I'm telling you my dogs wouldn't even eat it my dog almost choked because it was so grisly. Fat and Gristle. And the service was horrible as well

As I sit hear for 15 minutes waiting to be waited on. I'm writing this review. I'll let you know when someone comes to table. 19 minutes but still don't have drink. 30 minutes i have drink. I have food also. Asking for everything even silverware.

Never going back to this Waffle House. My family and I could tell the moment we walked in, that the staff didn't want to be there. We were served about half the servings on our plate that we've ever received before at any other Waffle House. Our waitress dropped the check on us before we even took a bite of our food. After the food was served, the waitress never once came to check on us. No condiments, or drink refills were offered. When I payed, I asked for a bowl and plate to take our leftovers. She handed me two plates and stated they were out of bowls. I could clearly see them on the shelf next to where she grabbed the plates. Not to mention, I saw the cook fill one up with grits right before I asked for one. We could hear our waitress(night staff) complaining about the day staff most of the visit even though she couldn't do her own job. We were the only patrons in the restaurant. Don't waste your money or time at this location.

Terrible. I came in a 2pm and not leaving til 3:15pm. Waiting on a TO GO ORDER. No customer service, plenty of staff in there and no one said anything to me. Terrible, slow, and unfair. Last time coming to that place. Didn’t give me a full waffle and put my grits in a coffee cup. Smh
