Our daughter gave us a gift card for Cafe Dantorels. We were downtown and decide to stop in. You may order from the counter. The staff were so friendly and bubbly. We decided on 2 Turkey Burger's with fries. At which time they hand you a number. The ambience is so inviting. There's an outdoor patio where you may be seated. Our orders were served pipping hot with lot of flavor, oh my goodness so fresh. Mmm good. We will return The only downside for me was that they don't serve domestic beer like Budweiser or Bud Light.
Wide range of hours for the area, the food is delicious and the portions are large. The crepes are great (it used to be Crepeville) and the burgers are too. The prices are fair (literally printed on the menu) and I really like the patio seating. Customer of 13+ years
Ate here 2 times on very different days. Food: delicious. Cannot mess up breakfast or else don't return. This place was great! Service: order food at counter and find a table, if lucky. It is super busy for brunch on the weekend, but weekday early? Perfection. Some waiters are nice, some not so nice. Atmosphere: the place is cute and the deco fits the vibe BUT very tight squeeze.
Great menu with a variety of choices. I'm a carnivore so gravitate to meat items and have enjoyed every single one. Great beer selection and wine options. Cool atmosphere inside or on their patio. Friendly and very helpful service. We take our dog and sit at their tables outside. Prices are very reasonable for the quality you get
God damn this place is good. Definitely. A bit on the expensive side but in my opinion it is 100% worth it. Got the karma sandwich and it was really really good. Great size sandwich with a massive side of fries. Also got a mocha with hazelnut flavor. Again. Incredible. The only issue I had is the price here. For two people both getting coffees. One getting the steak and eggs and other The karma sandwich. Came out to $77. So pricey but so SO worth it.
What a gem of a spot for breakfast or lunch! Tucked away in a charming little neighborhood not far from downtown Sacramento, this cozy café is the kind of place you wish was in your own backyard. I’ve been here a few times now, and each visit has been a treat. Whether you’re just popping in for a quick coffee or sitting down for a leisurely meal with a friend, it always hits the spot. The staff is consistently kind and welcoming, making you feel right at home. And let’s talk about that menu—wow! It’s impressively extensive, with something for every craving. Let’s also talk about the beautiful outdoor seating—whether you choose a spot along the quiet street side or relax in the covered patio area with the soothing sound of a waterfall, it’s the perfect setting. In the winter, there’s even a cozy table with a fire to keep you warm, making it just as inviting year-round. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this neighborhood favorite. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger just a little longer.
I didn't like the service. It's more like self service. I prefer to be seated and order at my table. When we did ask for help we were ignored. But now for the food it was tasty. I always order eggs Benedict for brunch everywhere I go. It was a good not my favorite but it hit the spot. The drinks were delightful, and the fruit in the sangria were yummy. It was good pairing.
I recently dined at Cafe Dantorels, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The atmosphere is charming and inviting, perfect for a casual meal or a special outing. The crepes are simply delicious —each one is made fresh to order with a delightful variety of fillings. I tried a savory crepe, which was bursting with flavor, and my husband got a sweet crepe, which was heavenly. The portions are so big we split both of ours and try one of each. The staff were attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. I also appreciated the quick service, allowing us to enjoy our meal without a long wait.
Terrific neighborhood spot with fresh food selections and good beer and wine offerings. Surprisingly deep offers of crepes, and the sweet ones make a wonderful dessert. The saffron salmon plate was flavorful and a big portion. My spouse enjoyed the brie and bacon burger, saying it was juicy and almost too much. For just $1 more she upgraded to sweet potato fires which were crispy on the outside and moist inside. Plenty of seating: inside, outside or in the covered patio. Very quaint setting. Order your food and drinks and they'll bring it out. Good spot for groups.
Made a last minute decision to try this place and I’m glad I did. The food and coffee is amazing, everything was brought out quickly, and the art around the dining area is great. With the quality of the food and it being a Saturday I’m surprised this place doesn’t have a line out the door. 4.9/5.
Recently remodeled and new menu! Loved everything we ordered and the service was amazing! Highly recommend!

All the food was great.. service is limited to them bringing your food to the table after you've ordered it from the counter. You have to go back and get coffee and water? I think it's because of the cement floors but it's super loud inside. It limits conversation. It's located in a neighborhood so there's a lot of limited parking around, 1 hour parking.
This place used to be formerly Crepeville. But since Crepeville closed down in 2012, it’s been very hard to find a good crepe place. I know there’s a Crepeville in downtown Sacramento but they don’t serve the portion size of food as how they did back then. But surprisingly Cafe Dantorels took over the Curtis Park property and is serving pretty much the same stuff. It’s a little bit more expensive but they give you a good portion of food. I’m glad to have come back to this place and enjoy some good food. The parking is very limited as always but hey you can’t beat Great Vibes and Great Staff. Highly recommend this place.
4.5/5 for this classic downtown restaurant. The food was great, portions were large and tasted well. There is good st parking around the area. The ambiance is quiet and there’s outdoor seating with fireplace as well. A bit pricey overall so one less star. Otherwise its a good sit down restaurant in downtown.

Hate to give a negative review. Love the atmosphere, but the food was cold and really didn't have much flavor. Eggs Benedict classic... but I make at home regularly and mine in better. Outrageous price for latte. Two people, bill was 84$, expect much better for that price. Loved the potatoes! Will try elsewhere next week. Music was too loud to talk to my husband.
The food was good. However, the servers bring the table's food at different times. On two different occasions, we were sitting and waiting for the fourth person's food for 5-10 minutes. We sat there patiently waiting and wondering while our food got cold. Please be mindful and serve our whole party of 4 at the same time.
Overall this place is very expensive. Two adults and two kids came to $92. This is not a table service restaurant / cafe. The food quality was nothing to get excited about either. It wasn’t terrible, but almost $100 for a small family at for casual dining is absolutely nuts. The coffees were $7.50 each. The coffee was roasted by Temple, but not prepared very well. Afterwards I went to the real Temple coffee and got a coffee for $5.10. $2.40 less.
Service was pretty mediocre. I had been very excited to try this place for a while and finally made the time to swing by but honestly wishing I had just gone somewhere else. Felt like I was inconveniencing or annoying the staff when I came up to order. One drink and pasta was about $50 with tip—a bit steep for the quality. Would maybe consider giving this place a second chance but not a huge fan of the service upon first visit unfortunately.
My review erased itself so i will keep it brief Over priced for lack of quality, presentation, and taste. $45 for a dessert crepe and scrambled eggs Crepes were repulsive looking and unappetizing Eggs were decent enough. Coffee was good at least. Sacramento standards are very sad..
Oh yeah this place was goodie!!! atmosphere was great but food was kinda just lunch. :)
I use to like this place a lot more before they changed some items on the menu and hiked up their prices a lot. Plus I use to be able to order just plain green tea and now all their teas are flavor…

I had pretty high expectations for this place given the prices are pretty crazy. My burger that I got was called the burger, I got a medium rare just how I get my steaks. The meat was not seasoned, and it was covered in basically a whole avocado which overpowered the mushrooms. Also, I don’t know if it’s just because I went in by myself, but I don’t feel like they really took me seriously. I waited for my drinks. I waited for the food. I waited for them to take my order and then when it was time for me to leave, my server really didn’t pay any attention to me and it was only being served through different waiters that were noticing I was sitting there waiting for the waiter so I talked to three other waiters before my waiter got to me. The other waiters were very nice and very attentive in seeing me looking for my waiter I guess.I don’t know the food left me feeling kind of gross, a little too pricey for the substance. The Paloma was pretty good. I will say highly recommend the Paloma.
This place used to be my favorite brunch spot, I have been coming here weekly since 2012. They had the best Turkey BLT, burger and the most delicious orange juice/carrot juice. Sadly I have watched this place get worse and worse every year. It’s not entirely this restaurants fault as prices are inflated everywhere but $60 for two sandwiches and 2 drinks is ridiculous, especially when the order gets messed up and the servers seem to not care. I usually don’t mind the mess ups by the staff as I see they are very busy but the actual item I received was half the price I paid and totally different. The inside of the restaurant is basically like a concert, very loud and can barely hear your own conversation. The tables are too close to each other as I was rubbing elbows with strangers, seems like this place is just focusing on maximizing profits instead caring and valuing their customers. I doubt I will be coming here monthly now, will most likely just take my orange juice to go.
We've been trying to find a brunch spot that serves traditional eggs benedict with Canadian bacon, and we stumbled upon cafe Dantorels. We walked in and ordered TWO eggs benedict dishes, paid, and …
We went to eat here after my daughter's musical performance. My family ordered burgers/sliders and my daughter ordered pasta. Well, they forgot about my daughter's meal, and gave it to someone else…
Horrible food. I’m not sure who was cooking on Valentine’s Day . They wanted to be home. I got a kids chicken Alfredo there was no Alfredo sauce. I also got a chicken Alfredo for me it was overly filled with olives. My friends ordered burgers medium rare. This is what was given. Place either needs an inspection or a new cook.
The price to quality ratio is absolutely disgusting. It’s just bad. Everything is flavorless and overpriced. My mom got the chocolate and strawberry crepe. It was disgusting, there was hardly any chocolate in it and I guess to make up for it they give a mountain of canned whip cream to make the meal look bigger than it actually is. She got that and a chai latte which totaled to $26. I got the bbq western burger and it was just alright but it cost $23!!! and the fries that came with it were soggy and look like they were cooked in old dirty oil. I expect a $23 burger to be life changing. This is the kind of burger they serve at chillis or Applebees. My mom’s food came out 20 minutes before mine so she finished it by the time my food came out. There are no refills and no servers. My brother was charged $10 FOR A LARGE ORANGE JUICE!!!Genuinely my day was made worse by eating here. Like if you read this I really recommend you pass on this place.
