A good breakfast sandwich. A bit too sweet for me, I like savory. So while good, will not become my go to. The coffee choices were wide and tasted good

I would angry with myself if I didn't post a review. I visited here for the first time this afternoon and it was such a treat. The vibes were nice and cozy. The barista was a certified pro. I asked for a Cortado and bro hooked it all the way up. I'm a sucker for detail and he really went the extra mile. It tasted amazing. I even sent a pic to my co-workers in our Coffee Slack channel, they sent props to the Barista as well. I'll start to frequent this spot when I'm in East Sac. It's also nice that it's across from Queen Sheba Ethiopian, this little area is becoming a hot spot for me. Cheers.

I appreciate it when the food comes out like it’s the first plate ever served - we love ✨consistency✨. They give great avo to toast ratio and added veggies with a tangy (aioli??) sauce. Latte was delicious. There are plenty of individual spots inside and outside for independent working +++ individual noise cancelling pods near the bathrooms. Love that addition.

This is our first time at Mast coffee. With the explosion of coffee houses around Sacramento it's hard to pick one. That's really doing something different than the others. However, Mast has dishes that they cook in the back so they're more of a café. We got the avocado toast, which was very different and quite enjoyable.

Mast Coffee is the kind of spot that makes downtown coffee runs feel special. Clean lines, friendly baristas, and a calm buzz that lets you settle in. Their flat white is lovely, silky microfoam with that paint-like texture and a balanced shot underneath. They use Clover milk, which steams beautifully and gives the espresso a soft, creamy finish. Pastries are sourced from Starter Bakery in Berkeley and it shows. The almond croissant is pretty solid, crisp on the outside with a tender center and just the right sweetness. My unexpected favorite here is the chia seed pudding. It is simple, fresh, and so satisfying, the kind of thing I end up craving later. All around, thoughtful coffee, quality bites, and a vibe that makes you want to linger.

What a vibe! Came here to have a work day. Great location for focus & productivity. Nice music. Great staff and incredible food/drink offerings! I really loved the avocado toast on sourdough with an egg 🍳 delicious! Also maple bacon was the best bacon 🥓 I’ve ever had… Matcha green tea latte was fire 🔥 Also got a decaf maple oat milk latte. Coffee was on point! Yum!

I recently visited Mast Coffee and had a wonderful experience. I tried their latte, avocado toast, and almond croissant, and all three items were delightful. The latte was perfectly crafted, with just the right balance of espresso and milk. It had a smooth, rich flavor that was neither too strong nor too mild. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, with a generous serving of ripe avocado spread over perfectly toasted bread. It was topped with a sprinkle of seasoning that really brought out the flavors. They use seasonal toppings on the toast so you would never be bored. The almond croissant was a real treat. It was flaky, buttery. Overall, Mast Coffee provided a cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and delicious food and drink. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great coffee shop experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

They have one of the best if not the best avocado toast!! Something they do omg it’s avocado toast but wayyyyy elevated. Depending on the season, the garnish and sauces get changed up. So it never gets boring! But always delicious!! Sometimes I get it with a 6-minute egg that’s perfectly jammy to go with the toast. Sometimes I get some soft scramble on the side. And sometimes just avocado toast. You can’t go wrong any of these ways. The drinks are amazing too! I’ve tried their cold brew, matcha latte and regular latte. They roast their coffee at the other location and they know their stuff. I keeping going back to the latte cuz it’s just perfectly balanced. Deep, smooth, a little nutty, uh so good!! Service is always attentive and friendly. Baristas are so good at their crafts and they also give good recommendations when I hesitate. The location is cozy but can get a little packed depending on when you go. In the morning it can be hard to find a table to work. But later in the morning it gets less crowded. I love the decor and the vibes there. Good place to grab coffee and breakfast!!

Great vibes. Delicious coffee. Love the music. Lots of seating. I didn’t try the food, but something smelled really good. Definitely check this spot out if you need coffee in Sacramento!

As far as drinks go, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better range of high quality drinks in the neighborhood. In all of Sacramento this is definitely in my top 3 of favorite coffee shops! The cold brew with crème and orange zest(can’t remember the name for the life of me, is quickly becoming one of my favorite drinks in Sacramento! Definitely recommend this coffee shop. This is easily the best spot in town.

Surprisingly good coffee! First time here and I will definitely come back! The coffee shop is modern and new. They have a Variety of pastries and they even make a few food items in the back. The building is warm and inviting it is a little hard to see the sign outside that Google maps got me right there

Stopped here for breakfast. Excellent avocado toast, they were able to make mine vegan and it was terrific. Also great coffee. The music was way too loud though. Highly recommend.

An amazing addition to the craft coffee scene in Sacramento! The location is absolutely lovely. It's on a small side street off the main road, so it's in a quieter location. Easy parking, (no meters) and a variety of seating indoor and outside. The espresso is on point and delicious no matter what drink I get. They have a limited but amazing breakfast and small bites options. I'm so proud of this shop, it's been years in the making and the Mast brand has definitely built up a trustworthy reputation over the last 9 years. Can't wait to come back 🖤🖤🖤

This is the BEST coffee I have had at small coffee shops. Great place and atmosphere. Empanadas were awesome too. Next time I am in Sacramento I will be back.

Wow, the coffee is of course good but the food is not your typical coffee shop food. It's fancy, decadent but comes out fairly quickly. Chefs kiss.

Three comments here: - 5 stars for matcha and my husband loves the coffee here. - 5 stars for pastries because anything from Faria bakery is bomb. - 2 stars for the breakfast sandwich which doesn't have the right mix of texture- the egg and bread is just soft on soft. Would not order this again. 2025 Update here: the last time I went to Mast about six months ago I ordered a matcha which did not taste great - when asked about it, they said they didn’t have ceremonial grade matcha but were serving something else…

Cute coffee shop, good espresso, but uncomfortable seats. Hard wood seats with no padding (which seems to be a common theme with a lot of coffee shops). Also, the table options are limited. There is a wall of wood bench seating (again no padding) but the tables are tiny little side tables and not conducive for working. I would stop in here to get coffee to-go, but won't be back to sit and work because it's not comfortable.

I actually really love this location and no its staff. Today I traveled here and learned they do not accept cash. Im not sure why but it sucks. Its cash. That said, they should accept cash with no change. Meaning you pay $10 $15 $20 CASH for a gift card for it to be used here. That would be better then straight up turning away money.

Came here for my ladies cowork meetup. I always arrive first and scope out a table. I asked about WiFi (just connect --no password) and then ordered my coffee and bread. Could not connect. Asked staff, who said yeah the connection just goes in and out sometimes. I moved to be nearer to the router, still no connection. Staff said it just doesn't work for some people. Who knows why. I've never had a problem. I moved my meetup to another location and left. I'm still not sure if it was the router or both my computer & phone (different manufacturers). A deal breaker for me bc I am coordinating for a whole group so I need reliable WiFi. Macchiato was good. Okay Danish. I would go back for coffee, but not for work unless I planned on using a hotspot. Staff was apologetic. I think we've worked at the other Mast location without problems.

This is my iced matcha with wildflower honey. 9/6/25. Bad. Dont go here if you want quality matcha. Cant even taste the matcha. 7$!! 🥹Staff are so nice tho, seating and outside is so cute. Definitely should go here if u want coffee/lattes.

I never write reviews but just had a really bad experience when I brought my family . The food was good but the customer service was not. I brought my family to try this spot because I enjoyed their food but it was sad to see how my family was treated so differently. For reference my family is POC and does not speak English, so it’s hard for them to try new spots out of fear of being treated differently. When we were ordering it seemed like our presence was bothersome to them and didn’t want us in their establishment. One of our drinks got mixed up with the milk and was told I had to buy a new one to correct it and i did because Ik they have to make a new drink since it was a milk issue. Yet a non POC had the same issue with the milk of choice and they just remade her drink. It just felt like a slap in the face and overall It just felt like a belittling experience for not only me but my family. It just sucks because I used to enjoy their food when I went by myself. I still went back thinking they just had an off day but they did the same thing to another group of POC as well as one of my friends I had recommended it to. Just tired of people thinking it’s okay to treat people differently just because we’re not white it’s unacceptable, especially in these hard times.
