Opinions de Tupelo Coffee & Roasting Sacramento
A quiet spot in East Sacramento that's perfect for working, coffee meet ups, or grabbing good coffee on the go. The cappuccinos here are my favorite, but the Wisteria Latte is something extra special for a treat. Keep an eye out for seasonal coffee and tea drinks, they are always tasty and original.
Amazing coffee and amazing service! My absolute favorite is their chamomile “Bowl of Soul” tea. Their lattes are phenomenal and pastries are pretty good.

If you’re okay with a little background music while you’re working or studying, I’d highly recommend this place. I like the coffee here. Of course it is not super cheap price for the coffee but it is reasonable. You get a nice place to stay in, lovely atmosphere, friendly service and decent coffee after all. It is 5 minutes away from Sac State (without traffic). Many people come here to study which is nice, you wont feel like you’re bothering anyone just because you stay here a little bit longer than usual.
Got a delicious Mexican hot chocolate with a pumpkin Danish. This places never dissapoints. Love the drink options, snack options, calm vibes, soft music, and that it doesn't get too loud.
Great atmosphere. Only stopped in but it is a great place to come with your laptop and work or bring friends. Loved the drinks! Especially the teas. I ordered the Bowl of Soul. So yummy!
They have thai coffee! And it was actually amazing which is so rare to find. Also my sibling who doesnt usually have anything to drink at cafes (hates coffee, tea, soda) normally finds hot chocolate somewhat okay at best and actually fully enjoyed their hot chocolate that they got so that's a win for the day. Glad that the cafe also had naked juice brand juice and the staff was willing to work with us (and yes we asked when there was low traffic and we came by after a very long day where I had to have some coffee in my system and didn't plan accordingly for my sibling so that's a my bad on me)
Love the coffee and atmosphere. The Barista is super friendly and oh so helpful. Don't forget your beans❤️
Had the bowl O soul which is loose leaf chamomile with soy milk and a lot of other delicious combinations. Not even exaggerating when I say this is the best drink of any kind I’ve had in my life. First time at this place but will definitely be coming here just to drink this again.
Beautiful coffee shop! I had the cold brew with oat milk. It was on the darker side of roasting and had a dark chocolate taste. The place was very clean and has WIFI that actually works. Highly suggest stopping in.

It definitely has that Sacramento vibe. Coffee was great, the barista obviously took pride in his work. Could probably benefit from a sweep/vacuum and the register person was very preoccupied but maybe that's the charm. I'll go back
Cozy coffeeshop with lots of indoor & outdoor seating. Helpful staff and welcoming atmosphere! I ordered the Mexican hot chocolate, which was good. Drinks mostly come in 12oz or 16oz so just specify which you prefer. Street parking is very limited so you may need to park a little farther away and walk.
I Did a little research on coffee shops that stayed open later. (Tupelo coffee & roasters stays open until 11pm) I Found this coffee shop online and decided to head over for a late evening matcha! The matcha wasn’t as sweet as I was hoping it would be but the added toppings made it Yummy! So including the convenience of time, I also loved the setup of this coffee shop! There’s a mixture of tables and sofa seating inside and the space itself was quite large which I love so much in coffee shops! There was space outside as well but as we head into the winter seasons that’s a lot less ideal around this time. I will probably visit this coffee shop in the warmer seasons so I can check out their outdoor seating. Going later in the evening also allowed for a non packed sit down smooch and that was quite lovely!
Tupelo has good coffee and seating inside. The baristas are friendly and seem to enjoy their work. The cup of sole isn't my favorite item but its really popular. I do enjoy their lattes and the atmosphere here as well.
Nice spacious area. Outlets are everywhere so you can bring a laptop and study. Can also catch up with friends here. Coffee is okay. I got a blueberry scone and it was a nice flavor and texture but it wasn't mindblowing. Dogs are allowed but just leash them and control them. There are cute succulent planters inside too. The benches are beautiful as well. They play music so bring your own headphones if you want to listen to your own music. Cleanliness and atmosphere is 10/10. Wifi actually works and I connected very easily. Would come again to study or get work done!!

Cool spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. The barista mixed a great off menu drink for me.
The café is spacious, which is nice, but the prices are higher than average — for example, a cappuccino costs $6, about a dollar more than in most places. Unfortunately, there was an unpleasant smell inside, which really affected the experience

I’ve been to Tupelo Coffee three times, and unfortunately each visit has been very different. The first time was great. I really enjoyed my iced mocha. On my second visit, though, my customizations were mixed up and the drink came out much sweeter than I’d ordered. I decided to give them another chance, but my third visit was the most disappointing. They served my iced mocha hot by mistake, had to remake it, and the final drink was overwhelmingly sweet, so much so that I couldn’t even finish it. It seems like there’s no consistency in how the drinks are made. Sometimes it tastes like they’re using powdered chocolate, other times syrup, and the sweetness level changes dramatically each time. After three tries and giving them multiple chances, I don’t plan on coming back. And I paid about $18 for 2 drinks.
It's a nice quiet place with convenient parking, but lacking in a few things. Little to no food options, only two bagels and one muffin when they were still open for 9 more hours. I got Vietnamese coffee which I was expecting to be sweet like it normally is, typically made with condensed milk, but it was really bitter. For $7 plus tip super disappointing. Maybe I'll try something else if there's a next time. It's definitely strong though which is what I wanted so that's nice. Lots of seating but WiFi has a really weak signal both inside and outside which made doing homework impossible. Cashier seemed irritated even though there was no line and pretty slow, and when I asked for the bathroom he seemed annoyed to tell me lol, but maybe he was just tired. Bathroom also needed to be cleaned, lots of splash. All in all not somewhere I would come back to at least for studying, maybe a quick coffee would be good if I try something else.

I used to love to study here now it’s loud! The employees are just talking about others out loud and the coffee all tastes the same. Also there is no food options!
I usually do not write reviews but this was the first time I visited this establishment the website said it closed at 11pm and I trusted it so I drove to the place and as soon as I walk in no greeting instead I get shouted at from across the room we are closing in 15 minutes! When I say shout the place went silent and my sister dad and i were stared at it was so embarrassing. And I said sorry we just want coffee to go I understand closing time can be frustrating but so is driving somewhere and turns out the time listed on the website was wrong. We try to order and i ask for a mocha and he says i could if i had chocolate super sarcastically and many items were sold out again this is my first time here so i did not notice the menu right away. When i realized more things were sold out we decided to leave and my sister heard him say “thats what i thought” under his breath. I dont want to make it a race thing but we are very visibly not white he was tall white bald some facial hair. I understand there are bad days but this made me not want to visit this place again and warn others as well.
I used to love coming to Tupelo over the years. Practically everyday I was there during college. I had not been back in about maybe 4 years because I no longer live close by. However, today I was close and feeling the need for a pick me up. So I came by also with the idea Id hangout and work on my laptop like I always do. Everything went sour from even before I ordered. I dont have the baristas name but he was a male with a pony tail. As soon as I get to the register to order he is busy on his phone. Says hes been looking at too many screens all day. I brush it off and place my order. I went to go sit down and then I realized I needed the Wifi password. I go back up to him and ask if he knows the Wifi info. He tells me "no its down." Im shocked because there are numerous other patrons on their phones and laptops clearly on the wifi. I ask him again, is the Wifi somewhere labeled. He tells me "no i dont know the wifi I just work here." I glance and notice the Wifi labeled on a sign to the left of the register. Now I understand this guy is likely overworked or understimiulated being the only barista working at this moment. Regardless Tupelo has lost its culture and clearly is pushing drinks instead of quality service. Even though I told him I was drinking it here, he still went ahead and poured it into a plastic to go cup. So he doesnt have to do more dishes? The drink itself tasted mid and look nothing like it used to. Not surprising the internet connection had zero issue. I was disapointed enough to write this review.
