Recently went to Alvarado Street brewery, and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fun and lively. I ordered the pig and fig pizza with an added side of Caesar dressing along with a glass of wine. The pizza was so delicious and had so much flavor. I came back a couple days later to order it again 😋 also ordered the cauliflower and broccoli with the chili sauce and had half of eaten, before I got home. Would definitely recommend 👍🏻

Stopped in at the Taproom and was really impressed from the moment I walked in. The place has a clean, modern vibe with a touch of classic architecture — the entrance alone is stunning. Inside, the atmosphere is warm, lively, and perfect for relaxing after a long day. I ordered a beer and it came out ice cold, served perfectly with a lime. Sometimes it’s the small details that make the experience, and they nailed it. A special shoutout to Taylor, who provided amazing customer service from start to finish. Friendly, attentive, and on point — she really made the visit even better. With the design, lighting, and open layout, this is definitely a great spot to grab a drink, enjoy good company, and chill in a really nice environment. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended. 🍺✨

Alvarado on Main is an absolute gem in the heart of Salinas, California! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the unique charm of this fully remodeled restaurant, which was once a bank. The historic architecture has been beautifully preserved, blending seamlessly with modern touches to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was good, and the portions were incredibly generous for the price. Every dish we tried was clearly made with care. The menu offers something for everyone, and the quality is good as well. What truly made our experience memorable, though, was the staff. The team was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had a great time. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Thank you for the attentive and very friendly service from Angelic A. while we visited for lunch earlier this month. She patiently explained the gluten-free options. The Art Deco interior (a former bank lobby), with its soaring ceilings, is beautiful. Well situated at the center of town with easy, on-street parking. We enjoyed our respective menu options.

You can clear see that a lot of thought and care went into making this place both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable. The food was great, the ambiance was great, the staff made great food and drink recommendations and the drinks were 10/10! The cocktails here are really good! We didn’t have a reservation and they told us it was a 30 minute wait but we were actually seated in 10 minutes which we greatly appreciated! Would recommend the crispy cauliflower as a starter. On the sweeter side but my entire group really enjoyed it!

I thought this was Alvarado Street Brewery.I guess they just call it Alvarado on Main, but it is the same place. Dew Drops IPA stopped me dead in my tracks with its superb Dank Hoppy Dispensary taste ( if you know what I mean) Just what my taste buds have been craving. The close second is the Single Cone ( you can also get a flight and choose as many beers that you would like to sample ) Just thought I’d bust out with those first two 5 star ratings about their beer. We did also order food, which was pretty good as well. The grilled artichoke tacos were awesome, the Al Pastor tacos were also a close second and we shared the Caesar Salad as an appetizer. Lots of parking in the back; we’ve never been to Salinas before, but this area of Old Town looked like it would be cool to walk around. We were just passing through for the day so we didn’t get to explore. Go for the brew but especially the “Dew”! Cheers!

Their pizza is not as good as it was when I wrote this review. Veronica is an amazing server and you'll be lucky to have her. Amazing service and personality! Beautiful art deco style bar and eatery with vegetarian options. My husband and I always enjoyed going to the Monterey location and we were ecstatic to find out that the establishment had expanded to Downtown Salinas (a little closer to home for us than Monterey). The cauliflower wings were Asian infusion which we haven't experienced before but glad we did! I had the butternut squash tacos that came with 3 salsas and each one was delicious. My husband ordered the Valley pizza which paired wonderfully with their nonalcoholic beer I ordered. A variety of beer on tap including SOURS which are my hubby's favorite style. I do suggest making a reservation because they're new and quite popular so you may wait a while if you don't have one.

I thought the food was great, however we ordered a dozen oysters as an appetizer and received our entrees at least 10 minutes prior. They need at least one more shucker. Their sole shucker was busy, but it was good. Besides that, I had the fish tacos...excellent. my wife had the lobster roll. She enjoyed it. Good for drinks and eating early but as the night wore on more of a bar type atmosphere.

We had such a wonderful experience, and it was truly because of our server, Valerie . From the moment we sat down, they were welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Valerie checked in at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed. It’s rare to find service that feels both professional and genuinely kind. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll be asking for her again!

Valerie is the absolute sweetest. She always takes good care of us . The atmosphere is always really good as well. We like coming back not just for the food and drinks but especially for the good service that Valerie provides us. 10/10 recommend. Ask for Valerie if you want amazing hospitality.

Food was great and the fuego smashburger is a great choice, if you like a little spice. The churros are amazing and the sauces that come with it are great. The wings were pretty good too. She did an amazing job especially since she was the only one managing the bar and tables till about 3pm. Overall a really great place and highly recommend.

There were three of us and we actually ate for under $75. The salads were made with dark greens that were not limp from thaw and the burgers were not soggy from over oiled patties! The fries were crisp and soft on the inside perfect for dipping in ranch or ketchup! My 6 year old grandson eats full size plates and the kids burger with salad was satisfying enough that he asked for a to go box for his “left over” salad! I loved walking in to this sophisticated old bank building and being served a burger! We were casually dressed but felt completely comfortable among the suits other well dressed “after-workers”! The diverse and kid friendly atmosphere was a great and affordable “kitchen free” meal to end a hectic day.

Pretty nice place. I went around lunchtime and hangout at the bar. No wait. I had a drink while I was there but mostly went in to grab some to-go beer. Fresh from the brewery. I hope to return and have some food. Really clean and updated look inside. Huge bar area with plenty of seating. I also noticed and upstairs area which would be great to get a little privacy if you came in with a group. The bartender was very nice and attentive.

I recently went and my drink was made pretty strong and wasn’t very enjoyable but a kind bartender named Erica went ahead and remade it for me with no problem and it was really good! She had great customer service even on a busy Friday night. It’s the pink drink in the photo, I believe they call it hibis-kiss. It’s safe to say it’ll be my new go to.

We come here often before seeing shows at Ariel Theater. The vibe is fun and lively. We have consistently attentive service from Valerie. She is swift, warm, professional, and flexes amazingly well with our hungry kids. Food comes quickly and we are so appreciative.

However, I would be more inclined to leave a more expansive review if the restaurant was connected to my Hilton Honors or Visa Rewards program. I would frequent the establishment incessantly, rack up points, and leave awesome reviews regularly.

Ive been here a couple times. The place is spacious. The decor and interior design is aesthetically pleasing, reminiscent of early 1900s style. The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. Our server Isaiah is top-notch. He was talkative, friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were also pretty good.

I opened a tab through their new ordering system. We kept receiving wrong items the whole night! Multiple people kept moving from our area since we were seated near the front door, we were with another couple as well but they had their own tab open. I ordered 2 rounds of BEER for my husband and I so when I pulled up the link in my text messages it was someone else’s order it was all LIQUOR drinks. So I went up to the bar area to ask a server to look up my correct order and he did. BUT he did not CANCEL the previous order that was opened under my debit card so I paid for my own order AND got charged for someone’s else’s tab as well, including an “unclosed tab” fee because somehow my payment information was still attached to the tab I originally opened. My husband came over and paid for the correct tab with his debit card. So my payment information was still there even though I had asked the server to cancel that order due to it being incorrect? I filed a claim with my bank and they’re refusing to refund me due to “proof” but there’s two charges instead of 1!! That’s not okay! Do better with your system. I will probably never come back here again. I’m a usual at the warehouse though and I’ve never had issues there!
