What a great hidden gem in Salinas that never fails to disappoint! They have really good seafood dishes at reasonable prices along with their cinnamon French toast! Yum.

The food was perfectly portioned and flavorful! Service was awesome and wait time was reasonable. Family friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stop in next time I drive through town.

9.0 💥 I was in town and decided to check this place out. Visited on a Saturday morning and was seated right away, it was not crowded and had plenty of seats. The food came out fast and was delicious.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in Salinas. Who knew it would be such a great place for prawns, the calamari sandwich, and the amazing black-and-blue steak salad? It’s owned by a super nice couple who make you feel welcome every time you walk in. Consistently great food, warm service, and a place I’m always happy to return to.

The Village is my Dad's favorite local restaurant for breakfast! His favorite is the Rodeo...blueberry pancakes, two bacon, two eggs and fruit. Mine is their BLT with extra bacon! The atmosphere is very loving and Gabby and her husband Jose are so inviting. We have been eating there for over 20 years! This morning my Dad had his second favorite breakfast Biscuit and Gravy. They also have GREAT Margaritas and I LOVE their Shrimp Bruschettas!

One of my go to’s for breakfast/lunch in Salinas! Great service and hidden gem so no waiting for a table. My favorites are the eggs Benedict! The sauce is amazing and an AMAZING choice to have crab cakes in an eggs Benedict. Never seen that anywhere 😍

In our quest to find the perfect breakfast restaurant in Monterey County we ended up here. I think this perhaps the closest we've gotten. The service was all fantastic. They had 3 different people all helping us as needed, whom ai assume were the server, buser and manager. All of them were friendly and attentive. Kept our drinks full and timed helping us perfectly. Ordering the food was great because we have quite a few dietary restrictions, but they are pretty flexible with the sides and substitutions. A big plus for us. Both of our meals were perfectly made. Best fritata I think I've ever had from a restaurant. Food came out quickly and hot. Delicious! The prices were good. Not like the cheapest in the world, but for the quality of the food they are very reasonable, and better priced than many other breakfast places in the area. Think $9-12 a plate. Good outdoor seating for covid. We will be coming back for sure. Probably favorite breakfast in Monterey County. Update: We now go here regularly. It is our de facto breakfast place. The price for what you get is just the best in the area for sure. Great food!

Instead of waiting an hour for one of the other crazy-busy breakfast spots in town, head over to The Village for a better breakfast with no wait! Outstanding service with delicious food! A wide range of traditional & creative choices - we enjoyed chilaquiles, huevos rancheros & the breakfast sampler...all were fantastic! Portions were perfectly appropriate for sharing, and we all enjoyed bites from every plate.

This place is 5 star in mant respects. The place is clean. The food is fresh and the service is fast, friendly, and attentive. If you are seeking a delicious homestyle breakfast with the freshest ingredients this is the place to come. This beats corporate America hands down! Denny's and IHOP have nothing on this place. The price is reasonable. I got the breakfast sampler. The blueberry pancakes are delicious!

Sampler breakfast was awesome .pancakes were fluffy. They give you only a small piece of ham. The bacon was crispy and good. The chilaquiles with green salsa has such good flavor but it does get spicy over time. Great service. Plenty of parking.

The food was mixed. One had a good meal the other was not so good. But, the customer service was TOP NOTCH! Great mom and pop restaurant to support.

My first clue should have been the empty restaurant. No booths; just several tables that seat four. Kinda on the cold side for a restaurant. Not cozy at all. The server was very kind and attentive. The only issue I had with him was he gave me raspberry sweetened tea when I asked for unsweetened. I think it was a language thing but I drink it anyway, no use in wasting it. My daughter and I got the seafood Monterey combo that includes mahi mahi, salmon and snapper in a lemon basil sauce. My husband got the maple soy skirt steak. When our food came to the table I could smell bad fish and I've got a cold and my right side is completely stuffed. My daughter confirmed my suspicion. The salmon was not rotten but I could tell it was a little on the old side but one of the white pieces of fish stunk to high heaven. The lemon basil sauce was great. Too bad it was masking bad fish. The pieces of fish were on the tiny side also. The cook definitely had to have known it was bad. The maple soy wasn't awful but the cut of meat was cheap and very stringy. Needless to say, we won't be returning. I had high hopes for this place too. Im sad about it.
