Opinions de Casa do Franco Samos
So impressed by this restaurant! Absolutely outstanding food - amazing flavours, great combinations, good variety, portion size just right. Loved everything we got: the croquettes and corn ribs; plus the cauliflower and chicken. The sauces that came with it were so delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is lively and friendly and full of friends and family. It’s a beautiful dining room, full of light and plants. The service was really lovely too; friendly and prompt. Will definitely be returning soon!
Booked my brothers birthday here we were quite a big party and were put in the private dining section which is beautiful and also had a minimum spend which I was unaware of, the staff communicated well and were super super lovely and let us stay in that section. Our main server Judit was an absolute star and made the whole Experience ten times better. It’s my second time there having the same set menu and it was still just amazing. My little brother had the best birthday meal and we are very big fans of the place ! Judit you are a super star and hopefully get to see you soon !!! Thank you to the team and the whole Place impeccable. (Photos from the first time I went)
Suddenly I was transported to the rolling hills of Portugal in casa de London bridge. Everything from the food to the cocktails made it feel like a holiday in my mouth. Although we waited 35 minutes for our table, what we spent in time we gained in culinary excellence. The lady who served us was knowledgeable and had some amazing recommendations- especially the pastel de Nada 🤤 10/10 would recommend to a friend. Will definitely be coming back for seconds!
Really amazed by the food, the flavour is perfect if you like spice and strong taste. We were actually surprised by the veggie, since even that dish it was seasoned nicely and it’s not plain!! Ordered 3 desserts as well, and almond cake is a must try! We went as a group of 2 so 3 dishes for main were enough with desserts. The choice of dinnerware and interior design are a plus, which makes the place really welcoming and especially suitable for Spring/ Summer hangout!!! A 5 stars for amazing food, friendly service and good vibes!
Stunning food and a great selection of the menu. The portion sizes are a good size to share and not too small that your table ends up overwhelmed with plates just to make it a meal. However, I do understand that the portion sizes have diminished over the last couple of years, which is disappointing but expected with "shrinkflation". In saying that, I certainly left satisfied, so I can't complain. The service was good, however it does seem a tiny bit chaotic in there but the servers are professional and take everything in their stride. I think one more server would make things a little more seamless and less pressure on the rest of the staff. The atmosphere is cosy, but the lights that sometimes flicker can be annoying and often left me slightly distracted trying to work out what kept flickering out the corner of my eye. You can have cosy without seeming like the electricity is a little to run out. It can get loud in there with so many people packed into a tight space and everyone talking at the same time. Overall, really fabulous restaurant. Highly recommend. Would go again! Overall 4/5
Really buzzing place even on a Tuesday night - great place to spend my son's birthday. Food was all amazing, so delicious, our second time here and we will be back - every dish was exceptional quality - a really good sign of a really good restaurant - despite how busy it was. Our server was really quick but attentive.
Sicuramente torneremo!
First time here any very much enjoyed it - not the widest menu, so dont expect more complicated dishes like octopus, cataplana etc, but what we had was well cooked, tasty and good value. Nice buzy atmosphere with every table full - it would be nice if the 1 1/2 hour slot was 2 hours to save being reminded several times that our time at the table was shortly up - politley done but my only criticism - keeps affordability up though i guess. Went on the off chance as i like Portuguese food and will definitely come back
Great service! Dominic was great! So attentive, he’s a pro! Food was superb. Chicken was so juicy and the green veg had such good flavour. The garlic prawns were mental! Thanks! Will be back
Had a lovely catchup dining at this resturant. The staff were so attentive and accommodating. The food was delicious and portions are generous. I had the feast menu which was such a good deal. The offer provides an opportunity to taste a good portion of their menu. It also came with a free drink, which was refreshing and complimented the strong flavours of the meal. The chicken was tender, well seasoned and very flavourful other favourites were the bread, chorizo and corn ribs. Definitely recommend trying, will be back again to try their pastel de nata.
Just amazing! One of the best restaurants I've been in London. Food was great, portions (even the small platters and sides) were bigger than most places, service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was so cosy. Prices were reasonable given the quality as well. Definitely recommended and I'll go back again!
Excellent food and service, they were very accommodating and the food was delicious. We ordered croquettes and cod as starters and frango, roasted cauliflower and rice to share. There were 7 of us and we ordered 4 frangos and 1 cauliflower. It was plenty and all was served quickly and freshly made.
Had the most wonderful evening in Caso do Frango. We were a party of 10, adults and children and received the warmest of welcomes. We were seated upstairs which was spacious and were greeted by our fabulous server "Nicky". We had decided on the set menu at £55 per head, but hadn't realised that you got everything on that set menu which was a wonderful surprise. The food was plentiful and absolutely delicious. Our choice of wines was equally delicious and the service was outstanding! Nicky was wonderful, great personality and nothing too much trouble. The atmosphere was warm and comforting, and we really didn't want to leave! This was the first visit for all of us and will definitely be visiting again. First Class!!
The vibe at this restaurant is absolutely fantastic—warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor from start to finish. A special shout-out to Laura, who was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our entire dinner. Her service truly elevated the experience. Highly recommend this spot—can’t wait to come back!
Delicious food and great service. I had the frango (chicken) which was succulent, full of flavour, and perfectly cooked. My friend ordered the steak and it was also excellent. The restaurant is quite large but the service was very fast and efficient. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and everything arrived at our table quickly. There’s also a nice upstairs area with a cosy, romantic atmosphere, while the main space is great for meeting friends and enjoying a lively environment. The place was very clean and hygienic. Definitely returning!
No lo dudéis, id a Casa do Frango
Excelente servicio y excelente comida.
Mil gracias ☺️
Todo excelente
Restaurante de ambiente muy agradable. Personal atento y muy amable. Comida portuguesa deliciosa. Para repetir y por supuesto para recomendar.
Excelente lugar. Comida buenísima y servicio genial.
Un poco ruidoso, platos muy bien elaborados. Precio, estás en Londres que esperabas
What a great little place. A simple menu, done to perfection. I had the piri piri chicken, the casa rice and the slaw, and it was all excellent. The chicken had just the right amount of flavor and spice. I also had a glass of a nice Portuguese red wine. Cute ambiance and reasonable prices.
This place surpassed our expectations! We came for NYE because reservations were still open. Every single item we were served was amazing! The service and ambience were top notch. Our server Sydney was such a sweetie. And so was the manager. We were glad we ended up eating here for our last meal of 2026! 🥂🍾🎉 Please come here when you are in the neighborhood!
As a British Portuguese person, I’ve struggled in the past in recommending decent Portuguese restaurants and always had to mention places in Stockwell/Vauxhall. I have to say I’d highly recommend this place as it was lovely seeing a menu of dishes that my family makes at home 👏🏼 Unfortunately a bit of the chicken we ordered was undercooked but Charles, our server sorted us out. He really went above and beyond ensuring we were well taken care of and checking in with the person I was with who has a seafood allergy. Perfect location and great spot to have a meal with friends/family.
with a beautifully tender texture and rich flavors. The sauces that accompanied them were absolutely incredible, enhancing each bite with just the right balance of tanginess and richness. And the drinks were equally delightful, perfectly complementing the meal. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with lush greenery indoors that gave it a fresh and vibrant feel, almost like it was helping purify the air. All in all, it was just an amazing dining experience!
I had a wonderful experience at Casa do Frango in London Bridge. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with real care. Every dish we ordered was outstanding. The beautiful décor and warm, stylish atmosphere made the whole visit even better. The space feels vibrant, relaxed, and thoughtfully designed. While the food and ambience were excellent, the service could use some improvement. We were served by several different waiters, which led to some confusion, and a few extra items were added to the bill that we never received. I didn’t complain at the time, especially as they kindly invited us to the drinks, which was appreciated. Still, a bit more training and coordination among the staff would make the experience truly perfect. Despite this, the overall visit was fantastic — the quality of the food and the atmosphere more than made up for the service hiccups. I’d definitely return and still highly recommend Casa do Frango for a delicious and memorable meal.
This restaurant is 10/10, I could not find a flaw with it. The food was so delicious that I couldn’t stop myself from eating more, despite being stuffed. The waiter, Fernando, was so attentive and lovely and took such great care of us. They even lit a candle on the dessert without us asking too for my boyfriend’s birthday! Wine was delicious too which I feel is hard to find. Overall, amazing restaurant will definitely be coming back
Lovely vibe and atmosphere at the restaurant, nicely decorated and easy to find, just next to Borough Market. We ordered sourdough, Iberico pork croquettes, mushroom à bulhão pato, Frango piri-piri, slow-roasted pork cheek, and casa rice for a table of three. This is definitely good portion and got us super full. The sourdough was soft inside with a crispy crust, thick-cut and served with whipped butter, which was a nice surprise! The croquettes were a bit too salty for me personally. The mushroom dish had lemon added, but it was too sour and I couldn’t taste much garlic. It came with toasted sourdough underneath that soaked up all the sauce — though again, too sour for the sourdough! We ordered the Frango piri-piri after seeing other reviews, and it was absolutely amazing. Just a reminder — it’s quite spicy, so be careful if you can’t handle spice! The pork cheek was surprisingly good and tender, even though the plating didn’t look too impressive. It was full of flavour, and the sweet potato purée with the meat juice was also delicious. The casa rice seems to be a popular choice, but it wasn’t a wow for us — still decent though. We shared their gelato, and I have to say the sea salted caramel flavour was exceptional! Overall, loved the whole experience — comfortable place, great service, and would definitely recommend!
Really tasty, well thought-out menu. This is probably a better place for meat eaters but there are well labelled options for vegetarians and all the dishes were well crafted. I particularly recommend the green rice, with some of their piri Piri sauce. Pastel de Nata also worth trying if you have the room. We had nice service and there were lots of families in the place, so definitely child friendly.
This place knows how to do tapas! The smaller plates were ABSOLUTELY delicious oh wow. I ordered a large plate of their chicken (which was slightly bland - my only complaint) I wouldn’t have needed as the smaller plates were big enough and tasty. The ambience is lovely, the waitress was friendly and the food was out in good time, I can’t wait to come again.
Food was incredible, small but well done menu concentrating on quality. Chicken was some of the best I've had. We had a large table of 9 and staff were incredible. Drinks came out quickly and food was perfectly timed. Staff were so on the ball it was impressive, a well oiled machine! Setting is beautiful if a little warm when the sun comes out!
No joke, but having just got back from 2 weeks in Portugal, then eating here, this was the best Portuguese food I had in this time period... Loved the way the chicken was cooked that gave it the grilled flavour, the rice and potatoes was fantastic, and my wife really enjoyed the cauliflower. The cod croquets were not really my thing, but they were also good. Friendly staff, quick service, no complaints.

Very good food - consider to share as there are many tapas options and less mains (three from the menu) Super tasty! The location is amazing, very well decorated, however very loud (difficult to have conversations if you are seated in the main room or by the bar). Suggest to book in advance - specifically on weekends
2 of us came here for lunch on a weekday. The place is decorated beautifully with the exposed brick and plants everywhere. We had some small dishes and drinks which came to a reasonable price. Everything was delicious. The only constructive feedback I have is that the tables were way too close together. Like pre-Covid times when you can feel the person's chair brushing against you. Please space the tables out a little more which will make it so much more comfortable!
We ordered a few starters which were really tasty. The prawns, croquettes and the fish fritters were so good. For the mains we got the tomato salad which was refreshing, sea bass and half chicken. The fish and chicken were cooked perfectly, not dry at all. The only dish I was not a fan of was the Casa Rice. I had it before but I can't remember it tasting sour like it did this time so I am not sure if the recipe changed. My friend ate it up so it was fine. Overall the atmosphere was okay. The tables are a bit close to other tables so it did feel a bit cramped but besides that I would definitely go again.
Went for dinner yesterday night and it was lovely, the restaurant itself is really nicely set up, and although the tables are close together, we didn't feel like we were stepping on anyone's toes at all. I'm writing this review mostly just to say thank you to the staff, specifically Charles J. He was so kind and just really lovely to talk to. His kindness left us in a good mood for the rest of our night, so thank you!
We had a wonderful atmosphere for our anniversary and the staff were fantastic. The food was great. It is rare to find chicken breast that stays moist and the biggest surprise of the night was the bacalhau which had incredible flavour. The cauliflower also stood out. Although we usually prefer a crunchy texture, the taste more than made up for it and we were happy to enjoy it as the chef intended. However, I cannot give 5 stars because our Casa Rice (as we later realised from looking at our photo and other reviews) did not include any chicken skin which normally sticks out of the rice. We were gutted, as it felt like something crucial was missing from the dish. I even asked a member of staff for a lemon to squeeze over it, as the flavour reminded me a little of paella. That said, we will definitely visit again. Please do not forget the chicken skin on the rice next time. 🙂
Maravilla!

Nada especial, se come normal.
Firstly, the service was great! The lady who took care of us was super friendly and welcoming. But, unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet my expectations. I ordered the Frango Piri Piri Chicken and Casa Rice. The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste, and the Casa Rice was quite sour (it caught me off guard!). It was so sour that I couldn’t even finish half of it. I didn’t understand because the description of the rice didn’t mention anything sour at all! One of my friends also got the chicken but with a side of fries. He said the chicken was mostly just bones and the fries were cold and you could see they over-fried. Overall, it was a mixed bag. The service was great, but the food could’ve been better. Not sure I’ll be back to try anything else unfortunately.
I had high expectations after reading many positive reviews before booking this place for a small gathering. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The frango piri piri and chips were far too salty, Also It would have been nicer if the piri piri chicken was made with less bony pieces, which would make it easier to enjoy. and our waitress seemed to be in a hurry throughout the evening repeatedly asking for our order before we were ready, and later clearing the dishes so quickly that it felt as if we were being rushed to leave. I had chosen this restaurant hoping for a cozy and relaxed atmosphere, but sadly, it ended up feeling stressful instead.
