After traveling for an entire week through the Southwest, we've had fast food, Mexican, sit down, and takeout. This was our favorite by far. We got chicken fried steak, the bacon cheeseburger, and the chicken tender meal. The portions were so good for the price. A nice home style meal for less than some fast food joints. And wayyy better quality! And better than the great food was the waiter! Terrence was awesome! Friendly, quick and attentive. You rock man! Thank you for a great end to a long week!

The food is always exceptional, perfect and delicious, as are the drinks. My husband and I went last night and the service was lukewarm at best, and it was not busy. I’m not sure what our waiter was doing, but there was no sense of urgency AT ALL. I tipped 20%, but very much appreciate fine service and usually tip over 50%, IF I receive that. The last three times I visited, the service was amazing, as was the food. A young man named Chris waited on me and my son on my previous visit, and he was absolutely superb! I remember the young man’s name from last night, but will politely leave that out.

My family and I expected a decent meal and normal service from Cheddar's. But we couldn't be more wrong. During our visit, everything was AMAZING! Our waiter was extremely professional and attentive. The food didn't disappoint in any way. Our visit was to celebrate my dad's birthday, and Cheddar's definitely made that an extremely enjoyable and memorable day for my family. My dad was so impressed with the Ribeye that he still brings it up in conversation. Thank you to our waiter and Cheddar's for the awesome service.

This place was SO good.. Haley was the one to help us. service was fast and easy. She always made sure to check on us and made sure our experience were was perfect! She's so friendly and very sweet. I usually never go but she definitely made me want to come back!

This is a great comfort food place. I was coming to San Angelo from another town. I had two friends with me.And we were meeting a third friend at the restaurant. All of us have different taste in food. This was a great place to go to, because it had something for everybody. Our service was exceptional. The lovely young lady that took care of us was attentive, but not intrusive. And the food was very very good.

I had the meatloaf and it was incredible. I mean that's one of my favorite dishes and there's had a lot of flavor to it. I had the red beans and rice with it also definitely awesome. The baked potato and it wasn't too bad but about average. But the red beans and rice and the meatloaf amazing. Next time I'm going to get the meatloaf and two orders of the red beans and rice that's going to be an amazing dinner. Sorry I didn't take a picture but I was so hungry the food came and I just inhaled it.

Ok for me the fact that Cheeders is a from scratch restaurant is one of many reasons I enjoy them. How the friendly service, yes that's another. Though what hits number 1 is their New Orleans Pasta.

Our poor waitress was over Sat with a large party then a couple tables back to back, but we weren't in any hurry and had a chance to finish our honey butter croissants (yum) and munch on our appetizer before ordering dinner, which was good bc the appetizer came out a little slow and the meal came out really quick. Food was on April with what I expect from Cheddar's. It isn't fine dining quality but it has decent flavor and consistent.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large graduation party for lunch! We were more than pleased. The food was amazing. The drinks cold and delicious. The company superb.

There is a good amount of lunch specials to choose from which are super affordable. The queso is really good and the chicken ceasar pasta salad was something new and also wonderful. Had a wonderful dine-in experience, my waiter was very helpful and attentive throughout my visit. I had the smokehouse Burger and it tasted great, and it came with plenty of fries. For dessert I had the cookie and ice cream, which came out fresh and tasted wonderful. I will be returning again in the future based on my visit today.

We dine at the San Angelo Cheddars regularly but this review is for the manager. Morgan Smith is the epitome of excellent management. He has been present the last 2 times we have dined here, and we have watched this man bus tables, seat customers, deliver food, and assist kitchen staff. Everything at this restaurant runs like a well oiled machine when he is present, and today we watched him assist an elderly customer with using the electronic device to pay her check and then help her stand from the booth and get to her walker. This is when I decided it was time to make sure this man gets the recognition he deserves. He encourages and praises his staff, he picks up a rag or a dish when he sees a table needing cleaned, and he starts seating tables when he sees congestion in the entryway. Corporate, give this man a raise! Every restaurant needs a manager like Morgan Smith.

First of all I'd just like to say the food is great & never fails to disappoint. But what makes a visit to Cheddars an awesome experience is your server Kylie Glindmeier! She's always very friendly, courteous & professional when she takes our order plus she has the added asset of an incredible memory. She never gets the orders wrong & not once have I had to ever remind her to bring extra lemon for my iced tea or extra condiments, napkins, etc. Plus no matter how busy she is she keeps an eye on our table & always keeps our drinks refilled without being asked. My kids & I always try to be seated in her section & it's always disappointing if she's not working that day. Give this girl a raise & hire more like her! I eat at Cheddar's frequently and really enjoy the atmosphere - it's classy yet relaxing. The food is good and priced right. I love the croissants they bring out. The servers have always been great. My only complaint has been a while back, it was hard to get into. You'd go and be told there would be a wait, but I'd notice there were many empty tables. When brought up, I was told it was "staffing issues". This hasn't happened recently, which is good, because Cheddar's is one of my favorite places to eat.

I found myself in Texas for the 3rd time this year. I must say I adore San Angelo far more than the big cities. There are tons of food options and Cheddars is among the best. Total experience was great from the amazing waitress to the atmosphere to the delicious dinners. We had the Monte Cristo which has the yummiest jam dipping sauce. I almost wished I ate meat so I could enjoy it too! I had the shrimp and fish - excellent, especially the sauce. Dinner salad and buttery croissants rounded out our yummy meal. Then we topped it off with a jumbo cookie which they were kind enough to provide all the toppings and ice cream on the side to accommodate a dairy allergy.

Really nice place to eat with excellent customer service. Our waitress was amazing! The honey butter croissants were like heaven. I ordered the smokehouse burger but it was pretty underwhelming in taste. It’s a very average tasting burger. I would choose something else instead. My girlfriend ordered the homemade chicken pot pie and she absolutely loved it. Will definitely be going back again!

Great service. Weirdly, all 3 servers who helped us were muscular late 20's men with deep voices. Hmm... 🤔 Anyways, love love loved the broccoli casserole. Green beans were a bit too sweet but cooked well. My husband's pork chops were a bit tough. My son's grilled chicken was "the best grilled chicken [he] ever had" and my toddler's fries were eaten quickly and passionately.

I'm actually not a fan of chain restaurants, and I had a very bad experience at this location years ago. This time, our server was engaged and very friendly. The fried fish was excellent, although the portions of the sides were very small. It was interesting to see the manager walk around the dining area greeting customers and checking on them. He appeared to go out of his way to avoid our table. Overall, despite what seemed like an intentional snub, it was a surprisingly good experience.

The quality of the food preparation has gone. My chicken fried chicken was under cooked. My baby carrots tasted like from a can. Awful taste.

Great food, good service. There was this wheel-of-fortune-esque sound eminating from the bar area every 60 to 90 seconds that was loud as all get-out. One of the nearby doors was also slamming constantly. Wouldn't recommend bar seating if these noises annoy you.

My husband and I shared the chicken fried chicken plate (2 filets). My husband’s was well done, but my chicken was slightly undercooked. I hate being that person, but I let the waiter know. He was super nice. He apologized, took my plate, and brought me back a fresh filet right away. This filet was amazing! Piping hot and even bigger than the one he took back.

We had a party of 6 the restaurant wasn't that busy we got there about 3 on Saturday May 10 they told us it would be a 20 to 25 minute wait we'll the wait was about 35 minutes and when we finally got to our booth it was not adequate no elbow room very cramped there was a table empty but she told us there was no waiter for that table so she walked back up to the front without a care in the world about finding us another place to eat very disappointed will NEVER go back

I have always enjoyed the fried white fish served with carrots and green beans. But not this time. Much to my surprise the strips of crispy fried white fish have now turned into these big slabs of thinly coated fish which resemble steaks because of their size and thickness. Needless to say the delicious crispness is totally missing. The delicious Italian cut green beans are now just plain old canned green beans. Very disappointing

The service was excellent! The honey butter croissants are absolutely delicious! The portions are ample. The mashed potatoes are the real deal (no instant), and the broccoli and cheese casserole was tasty. However, the meatloaf (which I had) was not very good. (It could have been an "off" day for the meatloaf since everything else was delicious.) Although I didn't like the meatloaf, I would still recommend Cheddars.🙂

So on our weekend out of town we stayed here in San Angelo. We decided to have lunch on Saturday here. To start with, the service was a little slow. It took about 10 minutes after being seated for our server to arrive and get our drink orders. Once we received our food, we didn't see our server again until he brought the check, which was disappointing because I needed a refill that I never got. The food was quite delicious, my wife and I both had the salmon, and it was fantastic, the rolls were amazing, and the sides were delicious. My brother-in-law had the Monte Cristo and my sister had the chicken pot pie, and they had raving reviews on the deliciousness of their food.

Service was slow even though we had a group. Our meal came out before the rolls.

Cheddars is a pretty typical chain restaurant. The atmosphere is similiar to that of a Ryan's with food you could get at Applebees during half price appetizer hour. The service always depends on the server, but when I went it wasn't busy and the server offered a drink to go, to which I said yes, and then never brought it to the table. If you are looking for a less appetizing environment and food to that of Chili's, then this restaurant might be for you. I will thankfully cook at home rather than visit again.

This is a difficult review to write because I love their honey butter croissants!! But I just picked up my order today, got home and there is a bug in my drink, I got an apology and $5 refund but I wanted my drink and I would have preferred my drink to be BUG FREE!! Pictures for proof....

Food was great. Service sucked badly. We ordered spinach dip and before waitress left table we wanted to switch to sampler that had spinach dip and other things. She said it was not allowed to switch. After a back and forth she finally let us. Then we waited 10 min to get a refill on our drinks. In fact I got up and went to bar to get my own drink and had that one drank before she brought our refills. Manager came and smoothed things out a bit but still felt like waitress just did not want to be there. Also wanted to change channel on TV to watch playoff game and she told us she did not know how to do that and just walked off. Kids these days have no customer service skills. It's a lost art.

I have been to chedders multiple times this was the first time I was dissatisfied. The potato soup was like mash potatoes. When I let the server know she said “she can see what she can do cause it comes pre made and they thin it out with hot water .”she was nice about trying to help. The 2nd time it was still too thick. My dads chicken fried steak was a grilled chicken breast with fried breading. Which should be a steak fried like chicken. I wish a manger would have came talk to us. This is a fairly good meal and the price is not outrageous. I can't complain about the service or atmosphere, but neither can I say it was anything exceptional. This is the only place I can get a Monte Cristo, which is why I go. With personal bias, that is a delicious sandwich.

The food came out in a decent time but the steak was extremely undercooked (I ordered medium), and somehow the mashed potatoes had random broccoli pieces in it. Subpar food burger was ok Ig?...server was somewhere idk but we waited like 15 minutes just for a drink order...when we finally got to order she only came back once for a drink refill.

I wasn’t a fan. Haven’t been in many years but thought we’d try it out. They sat us down next to a pretty loud party of like 20 so that kinda sucked. It took about 5-10 ish minutes for someone to come to our table to take drink orders. The floors are carpet and are super dirty, window sills were dusty and full of dead moths and flys and what not. The vents on the wall near where we sat were super dusty, some spots of trim needed some work, blinds were pretty gross. The machine where you pay at the table was out of receipt paper and the waiter never came back and we got tired of waiting, he just was unhappy. I don’t think I’ll be back. Food was mid, and a little over priced.

The waitress who brought our meals left one persons meal on the table next to us. This was supposed to be a special Mother's Day dinner. Both of our potatoes were cold, and the condiments came late. They potatoes were super salty. My steak was chewy. I could not bite off a piece to eat. It was very spicy as well. The manager said they changed the steak taste to spicy a couple of years ago. I compared it to Outback. I thought the prices were good. I talked to the manager, who removed my meal from the check. I shared the bad experience on their site. The company responded to my review very professionally. However, I will not be eating their again.

So I order the pot pie which the presentation for to go look rushed with a loaded baked potato, the to go order took a long time to recieve almost 20 min, plus once I got home the potatoe was not loaded no butter or sour cream, My server was nice but, what I got look nothing like the picture as pot pie, the drink was a holiday drink they had can't remember name of it bit it was ok...

Not the best Cheddar's. Went on November 12th and my wife was given fried plastic instead of fried chicken tenders when I got food to go from here. I've never seen anything like it, and had to drive back. The manager refunded the cost of her meal, but I won't be back. I normally like other Cheddar's locations and have been to this one multiple times but never seen anything like this.

Server was awful and slow. He barely came to our table. The manager sat us immediately upon arrival and took food and drink order for the waiter. The manager was only helping the waiter get us started. It was a long time before we got the appetizer and then food was ready shortly after. Both meals were not very hot like they have been ready for a while. Overall we were not pleased with our experience and will probably not return.

Order the chicken wrapper allot. Always make sure to order the normal version, never fails to always get the buffalo version. Almost a game at this point lol. Food is okay, but don't expect to get any accurate orders.

We've gone to this Cheddar's a few times and have never had issues until today. My husband and I both ordered our usual which is an 8 oz sirloin cooked medium. Mine came out perfect but his was severely undercooked and borderline raw. The waitress apologized and took it to get recooked. No worries, it happens. We got it back the second time and it didn't look like they had even put it on the grill. After the third cook it came back finally cooked medium, but was very tough from being recooked so many times. The waitress was very apologetic and the overall sevice was great, just disappointed in our $16 inedible steak.

Ordered the sirloin medium to medium rare one side was almost medium the other side was well done. The baked potato was half raw. The server was great. It was a rainy day and a couple of people complained about how cold it was and someone turned on the heat and made it unbearable to stay . Will not be visiting this location again.

My steaks ribeye and sirloin had no seasoning on them and chili con queso had too much did not eat it took my ribeye to my dog we've had several good visits only when Morgan is there it's terrible only because he washed my ribeye when it was too hot told me he was going to wash my 23 ribeye and he did

Came from out of town; the only place that didn’t have a 2 hour wait at 7pm. Called ahead for a party of 9 and they asked when we’d be there I told them 7 minutes and they said the wait would be 15 minutes. We get there, and we are still on waitlist. 30 minutes later after other big parties that showed up without reservation got sat. Asked how much longer, hostess didn’t know (but that’s what they get paid for) asked for management, and when we asked is when our table was all of a sudden ready. When we got separated on our way to table, we asked host where they were sitting us and the response was “you can go find them” instead of directing us. We ordered our food, and still another 45 minutes went by until it started feeling targeted. Management never came by and told us that our food is taking longer than usual, never came to check on us and all our server could say was “I dunno” When we asked for a manager to cancel our order, he then came by and said “your foods ready, want it or not?” His attitude gave us our answer and we said no. He was clearly upset. Didn’t apologize, or try to make anything right. He gave us our drink tickets and we were on our way. I’m management at another national food chain, and I would never treat my guests the way they did. Management needs better training, along with employees and their positions.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Cheddar's in San Angelo for Mother's Day. I reserved a table for six, plus a toddler, and was told there would be a 20-25 minute wait. After waiting, we were called and taken to a booth, but we asked if we could have a table instead since clearly we couldn't all fit in the booth. The server gave us an attitude, told us we'd have to wait, and then just walked off without offering any help or alternative solutions. The lack of professionalism and poor customer service was really frustrating, especially on such a special day. Will not be returning.

We went in on December 12th, at around 6 pm. Our server, Reggie, was friendly a first, but it quickly became really weird. Reggie became way too friendly with our mom, and asked her to hug her after she had said we'd eat the appetizer and wait for a little while to hang out. She accepted(she didn't want to be rude). My dad was kinda upset about it but he didn't say anything. Reggie would also squat down facing my mom directly and addressing her only when he spoke to us, which made me feel uncomfortable. Another issue we had before was when my parents went to eat but were kicked out because they had their Stanley cups. They both have medical issues and drink water/tea daily. So when they were told they had to leave because of the cups, I was infuriated. I called later that day to talk to the manager just to confirm what happened, and the manager on duty was extremely rude. She interrupted me, would not listen and was overall just a pain to talk to. Overall, this location sucks, and I would rather eat a dead rat than any of the food here.

When our waiter greeted us, he asked how we were doing and we asked how he was doing. He replied that he had been better and indicated that all the computers were down so he had to write everything down. He said we had to let him know immediately if it was separate tickets. We waited over an hour to get our food and he came out 2 or 3 times while we waited to complain that it was the cooks fault that it was taking so long - they couldn't read the tickets, they were young, etc. He also made bad jokes and indicated that it was Trump's fault that we hadn't received our food. At one point, he came out and gave us our tickets - still had not received our food. Several people who had arrived after us received their food so we aren't sure what was going on. The manager finally came over and said she would be discounting our tickets. She gave us a 25% discount which was very nice of her. We finally received our food and it was cold. We won't be going back there anytime soon.

Odessa texas, it was by far the worse service!! No one even came to the front to seat us for almost 15-20 minutes ( several employees looked at us and walked on) asked if they were even opened and the guy was on his cell phone said yes? He would get someone! It still took a good 5 minutes! The kid that finally seated us was good, and apologized because they were having a meeting in the back? Please people ! Customers first!! Then when our waitress came she apologized once again! Things were getting a little better! Till I asked the manager finally that we needed a to go box? I guess it wasn’t her job!! But then again it wasn’t my job once again to get out of my seat to do their job!! I was very disappointed!! Think you for the 2 that did help!! But you may want to rethink management!! I feel your meeting should be handled a little better!!

We’re from out of town and this service was horrible.

Had to wait awhile for hostess to get to the front to seat us. Should've known when we walked to our table and noticed alot of people not eating any food this was gonna be a bad experience. Waiter was good but that's all that was. Heard him tell other tables he was sorry for the long wait. We ordered simple appetizers so we thought ours would be quick, not the case. After 45 minutes we asked for the check. Manager came to our table and had one excuse after another. Told her my daughter worked here years ago and this wouldn't have happened back then. Bad service employees looked unkept . Over all horrible experience.

Ordered curbside to-go, nobody came to bring my order so I went inside and it was sitting on a bench by the door. I ordered the burger and when I got back to my hotel the lettuce was completely wilted, definitely wasn't crisp when they made the burger. The fries were really soggy as well with no salt. There was no sauce or anything on the burger, just a dry bun, tomato and yellow onion, bland meat with no seasoning. Pretty sorry excuse for a burger it wasn't worth the money. I even added a tip to the order which was a complete waste of money seeing as nobody brought it out.

Straight trash! Server didn’t come back for refills. Asked for more chips never came back. Brought food asked again for chips. Still didn’t bring them, had to ask a third time. Finally brought some. Daughter ordered a baked potato soup came out not as a soup but a paste smh. Buffalo chicken wrappers had absolutely no sauce or flavor, just left them all there.

Was traveling in from out of state and went to Cheddars yesterday around 4:30pm for the first time. The service was great; Jaiden, our waitress, was amazing. She checked on us often, and made sure we always had everything we needed! I overheard a conversation between her manager, her, and one of her tables next to us maybe 6-7 ladies. I overheard the manager say to the table while Jaiden was handing out their food, “ladies let me know if she does horrible because I am not afraid to let her go, again if there is any problems let me know and I will let her go.” This is not something that should be ever said about an employee in customer view at any time or ever, period. It was very inappropriate and degrading. I could tell this made her very uncomfortable and assured her she was doing great but hearing a manager “joke” about someone’s livelihood is very disgusting and goes to show how the management feels about their employees.

We arrived and told one of the three girls up front we need a table for two and all they said was ok and have seat and wait and we asked how long of a wait and they told us you can wait just sit down so we did but did not know how long of a wait it was going to be and 9 different groups came in saying they need a table for two and they were taken straight to a table I heard one of them ask the girl we told how many people are in there group and the girl we told oh don’t worry about them I will take care of them and she walked off with them and came back with someone different and then 4 more groups came in saying they needed a table for two or three and they got a table right away so i went back up there and asked kindly if they other people had a reservation and she said no so i asked when we were going to get a table for two and she gave me a ugly look and said I need to have a seat and wait because I’m being very inpatient we were waiting 35 minutes and the only people that were told there was going to be a wait was a group of 8 I used to love going here but I honestly do not want to ever go here if I’m going to be treated like this. This is very unprofessional and I will not spend money at a place for a date night if I’m going to be treated like this

The waiter took my order but didn't bring my cocktail until I asked him 20 minutes later. He didn't even remember what cocktail I ordered. He also said my daughter's carrots would be fresh, but they turned out to be cooked.

Not one to leave a review often but we spent almost $70 for THIS and are not happy! First ordered online and they were out of two different sides we place a family order of ribs and get a call 10 min later that they don’t have any Ribs EITHER then tell us they can’t substitute ribs for anything we cancel that order get something else the food is cold as can be no marina came with the cheese curds we called While In the parking lot and asked to add two croissant to the order and was told the order comes with it ! Get home and no croissants in the bag ! The service and Managment suck and so does the food do not waste your time or money here I’m not kidding.

We went yesterday for a bday party from 620 p.m. till 820. Ordered Louisiana Cajun pasta and got severe food poisoning throughout the night. My gf has the cicken pecan salad which was fine. Never get any refills any the entire time. Lady serving was flustered was not friendly. We really enjoyed coming over here but not after getting food poisoning.

Went to eat with my family. We ordered two chicken strip plates. Needless to say we got something extra baked into our strips. A hair was baked into the breading of the strips. We ordered spinach dip and got brought out a dirty plate with chips on it. Mind you we didn’t order dessert so there would be no reason to have a strawberry/red sticky sauce on the plate. We will not be returning back. This place has definitely gone down hill.
