Absolutely fantastic Pho, I absolutely love they have offer small, medium, and large Pho sizes. The flavor was great the portion sizes were on point and the service was great as well!! Definitely on our list of top PHO places for us.
Their broth is best in city hands down. The chef owner plows thru the tickets with speed and precision making sure each plate retains quality, freshness, and consistency. Truly a veteran chef here hard at work to give the public an excellent product.
Absolutely love this place I will not get pho soup anywhere else. Very clean inside very nice family working their hardest for good food and service and it’s never a hit and miss it’s always good. There’s other things like the Steam dumplings and the chicken and rice plate that’s soooo good as well. If I could give 10 stars to this place, I would.
me and my boyfriend went here for our 3 year anniversary and it was so good! great service and friendly/ polite staff, the food was soooo good and fresh. my only complaint is the largest size isn't very “large” in my opinion but i'm just big and greedy! they gave us a free dessert on the house which was so sweet of them & delicious! love this place & the atmosphere and definitely will be returning ☺️
Truly Totally Awesome experience. Quick & friendly service, clean restaurant, really very good food & the desert was excellent to end the meal. And it was complimentary ! Very good prices, not expensive at all. Definitely going back & making this restaurant our normal Asian restaurant go to. 👍👍
We tried Berni tonight with a couple friends. I had the pork and egg roll vermicelli plate. It was warm, fresh and flavorful. The service was great and the server (our friend said he is the owner) was awesome. After we finished our meal he served us a taro pudding. That was so tasty! We were very impressed and will definitely be back!
This place seems to ran by a husband and wife. Food is original and amazing!!!! I noticed they do not have a crowd BUT get a ton of to go orders!! I got their seafood Pho large. It had amazing flavors and landed with seafood!!! During this time, I watched at least 25 to go orders leave and owners served everyonea free dessert!!! It was made with taro and coconut milk!!! Definitely worth a visit
To-go order: beef brisket + meatball pho and pork banh mi The pho was really flavorful! (No need to add sauces.) I really liked the container was big enough to put all the fixings and eat straight from there — no need to transfer to another bowl like other places. And the banh mi was my favorite I’ve had in SA so far! It also came with complimentary taro tapioca pudding which was also really good.
In SA, I don’t expect much for pho only because the best I’ve had in the states have been on the west coast but Berni proved me wrong. What really impressed me initially was the to go container. Usually, I get this super small container that’s filled to the brim with broth. I usually have to get a big bowl to put everything together. Berni must have known how inefficient it is because they give you a bigger to go container/bowl with still a lot of broth & enough room for the meat, noodles, & fixings. I wish I would’ve took a picture but your girl was hungry. And the pho was really really good! They were not greedy with the beef brisket or noodles. I was very satisfied & I will come back. 100000000/10
Walked in and was pleasantly surprised how nice, clean, and relaxing the interior was. I was instructed to sit anywhere and was handed a menu. Ordered pad Thai with shrimp. A plate was delivered piping hot to my table in short time. Everything I tasted was wonderful and full of authentic flavors. Towards the end of my meal I was surprised by a complementary tapioca dessert that was perfect in taste and a wonderful way to end the meal. I very much enjoyed my meal, the dining environment, and the service here. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.
Amazing meal. We showed up as a giant party of like 25 people came in. They were super short staffed (only 2 workers,) and I felt bad because it seemed a bit stressful. However, I was blown away with the service and quality of food. Although they profusely apologized for the wait, it took maybe 15 minutes max, and the food was incredible. Easy 5 stars from me.
Benri has a reputation as one of the most popular Vietnamese food choices in San Antonio. While it is a good option, it's not a great option. The menu is enormous and contains good options from all over Asia. There is a focus on Vietnamese food, but there are too many other options from Japan, Thailand, and other countries. Service is very slow because only one person was rushing around doing orders and checking guests out during lunch hour. The pho is good, as are the dry noodle dishes, but based on everything else I think you can do just as well at other Vietnamese restaurants while also spending much less time waiting for your food.
I’m very familiar with Vietnamese food since I am from Houston. Been here a few times and it’s not bad but the serving size is VERY little for how much they charge for pho and banh mhi, pho is roughly 16$ and banh mhi also 17$ (which did not taste good). I do like the tapioca dessert the serve at the end. A friend and I went to a separate pho place, and it cost us about the same to split a pho, an appetizer, and a drink but here we spent more on just pho and an appetizer also the serving size for a medium had less meat than their small. Overall I think they over price for every basic viet food
We came here in hunt for Pho on a cold day. When we walked in we were not greeted by any staff. We waited about five minutes before seating ourselves. In that time we were cut in line by a large group who found a table and were promptly waited on. When we found a table, we waited for 15 minutes and were never contacted by restaurant staff. We promptly left and found another place. Food looked decent but I guess we'll never truly know... Pretty disappointed.
Awful really. Ordered Berni's sepcial egg rolls that were not very flavorful. Pho broth was just OK. I bit into a small chunk of raw tasting ginger. I ordered a small pho with rare beef and tendon. The tendon was good. The rare beef was already placed into the pho, and there were only three, very thin slices of it. Pretty shocking actually. The beansprouts were wilted and brown with three thick slices of jalapeño. The best part of the meal was the complimentary desert of warm taro (tapioca?) pudding. I was very sorry I wasted my money here. The staff was polite and attentive.
Ingredients in the Vermicelli that I was served had clearly been sitting there for a while. Did not remove from the bill or offered exchange.
It's 8:04 when I arrived at the restaurant and Google says they close at 8:30 pm.. theree are 6-10 people eating in the restaurant and the have the door locked and tell me through the glass that they are closed. What a way to treat a customer that has supported their business for over 6 years and drove from over an hour to come here.
We went on my sister's birthday to eat and she ordered a Shrimp Fried Rice but came out burned and the taste was disgusting, I told them the rice was burnt and he just said that's the way they do it, he asked if we wanted to cancel it and we said yes, then I asked if I could see the menu to order something else and he told me that the cook said she wasn't going to make another dish for our table because she had already lost the rice we returned, obviously we were going to pay for the new dish. He was too rude and didn't even apologize for the burnt rice, after that he didn't even offer us the dessert they give at the end.
