My favorite Whataburger in San Antonio, I have tons of memories here! I was even an overnight employee here for a number of months in 2020. Service: 10/10 The service here is great, tons of smiling faces, no attitudes and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Atmosphere: 10/10 Nice and cozy place, no loud music and not too packed; enough room for dining in! Cleanliness: 10/10 Store is very well kept! No trash, stains, or strange smells, even the restrooms are very clean and sanitary! Employees are very prompt in this! Food: 10/10 Food is made fresh and hot! Super good, especially for a fast food restaurant! Parking is pretty decent, they may need some more spots but that’s pretty much it. And the drive thru is pretty alright, everything is made fresh to order so it can take a little long at times, but your food will always be fresh! Overall: 10/10, I love it here! TLDR: Best Whataburger in San Antonio!
This location is one of my favs, service is fast, friendly staff and the food is delicious can’t complain, burger is always just the way I like it. I went by yesterday for the Anniversary for their 75 cent special. You had to download the app in order to get the 75 cent anniversary burger. Staff had their hands full since the lines were super long. Good job Samantha! for your service and up beat attitude. She was working the second line with this heat, and posed with a smile. Thanku for giving great service Whataburger!
There a beautiful awesome worker and took my order with good customer service and like how she respect everyone what they need and goes around and check if they need anything. Serenity Nicole is great front corner i had in a long Thank yall so much and food was great.
Our order was piping hot, accurate, and tasty. I enjoyed my sweet and spicy bacon burger and cold coke zero. My wife's jalapeño cheese burger special order without this, light on that, and add that was correctly made as usual. Her chocolate shake was delightful but couldn't be drunk with a straw (yummy).
We were waiting in curbside for my salad and a very nice man came out to make sure that we had been attended to. He then came back to give us an update on our order. Such excellent customer service! We will definitely be back to this location!
They get your order right the first time just left there the food is piping hot the young guy needs a raise he was so friendly and gave me my BBQ sauce instead of the ketchup 😋
Sometimes they get my order wrong but if you call in they I love the onion rings and it's literally right up the street from me so it's beats Taco Bell
The food was delicious. I had stopped going there for a while but now I think it is a new cook and I will be returning as a customer. Thank you China Rose for a wonderful meal and great service.
The orange chicken was not what I expected. The dumplings tasted like they were frozen and heated up. The order and time to get my food was fast. The location is very busy and loud . The price was decent for the amount of food you get.
Food was good and the service was awesome. Cleanliness was there and once again. The employees went to check on us and see if we need anything else. Most small places that are food chain dont do this. Thank you for going the extra mile. I will be back again.
We love eating here. They always put plenty of food on our plates. The food is made fresh when we order and it always tastes great. The tables are clean and the staff is very nice and they do a great job. One of my favorite places to go eat. Everyone e joys the food. They had already started eating when I took the pictures of the food.
This location was on point 👉 . 1/9/26 .. 6pm.. My drive thur order was a little complicated and the drive thur girl i belive her name was Dulce.. did a good job taking the order.. no errors and repeated the order perfect 👏👏
The food is good but they should really chop up the peppers and onion a little more. Now I don’t like the fact that you don’t get fortune cookie 🥠 with your food you have to purchase them as well as any sauces you want. The only thing you get free is the soy sauce lol it was a little dirty but I guess they had just had a rush
The food wasn’t too bad, but all I had was egg drop soup, two egg rolls and a (big) bowl of shrimp fried rice. I had a craving for egg drop soup, and theirs kinda helped with the craving. I personally have had better egg drop soup, but again, this one did do the job for the most part, with my craving. The food was brought out pretty fast, I think within 7 mins from when I ordered.
The chicken that comes in the chicken fried rice is chicken breast. The chicken with the lemon chicken sometimes has a bit of fat on it, but other times the chicken has not had too much fat. It’s kind of a mixed bag, but everything has a pretty solid flavor. Overall, the staff was nice and the food can be great.

Service is usually good, but the drive through situation sucks because of construction. And the there's usually always something missing in the order so if I don't go inside I don't get to get it either way. And now my breakfast ona buns are being smashed. It's really not a good feel or look to Whataburger. Guess I'ma start going to a different one.
I was working nearby. Wife wanted me to bring Chinese home. and someone at work suggested this place was nearby. Cashier failed to place orders for all i had requested. Weather was really getting bad (massive freeze warning, freezing rain, etc). It was clear she didn't want to be there. Good news is, food prep/cooking was just meh. The bar is judge by is Hung Fong or Ding How. So that's a pretty high standard to match or beat. Maybe eating in and not having to take out would have made a difference. We'll never know.
They charge for sweet and sour and for all togo packaging one dollar what happened to 25 cents. My pepper steak meal was not cooked properly. The veggies needed more sauteing.
Dear Manager I ordered the prickly pear drink and I got my food with no drink. 🙄 Then my burger looked like a 5 year old put it together. My French Fries were Iceberg cold. 😠 Then I went to say something about my fries and they said those are fresh. So I ask then why are they cold? 😡 So I have deduced one of 2 things that no one likes working at this Whataburger or you hired poorly. That means you suck at your job either way you look at it. P.S. I didn't rate the Atmosphere due to the poor service and food quality. I didn't think I would give it a fair rating.
Didn't even add chicken patty to a chicken sandwich. Kids and managers need to be let go. I'm taking this to kens 5
My food was cold and my burger was not made the right way, the night crew was terrible with customer service considering the fact that I always go to this location do to it being a clean location. I called to tell them about it and they never answered. This is the burger I received barely any lettuce and forgot my grilled onions and a few jalapeños horrible burger.
I got there at 7:00 in the drive thru. Went to the second lane because it was shorter. Much to my surprise they weren’t answering. I could not go back to first lane because it got busy right away. We had to call the inside and tell them no one is taking our order. All the people in first lane were getting serviced 4 cars past in first lane ordered. Finally ordered 30min later. I ask the worker why they even have a second lane if they are just going to ignore us. He directed me straight to the manager (Junior was his name) didn’t want to deal with me or apologize. Manager came and gave me excuses for the lack of service on the 2 lane. He had 3 workers on first window only one for the 2 lane. Make it make sense 45min later finally got our food. Sad because food was great. No straw and one ketchup. SERIOUSLY JUST CLOSE THE 2 LANE. 😡
Got my order entirely wrong. Had to go back just for them to replace the food, and there was still a missing item even after going back. They get things wrong every time I go and are clearly used to making mistakes since the manager didn’t even acknowledge it as a problem. Disappointed to have to deal with this after working a long shift.
I Placed my order at 7:26pm and Didn't get Until 7:58pm on 12/25/25 . The Worse Service Ever !!! They Just Slapped the Burger Together and Gave it to me.. I Don't Recommend this Restaurant to anyone !!!!
This location SUCKS!!! How does it take 30 minutes to make TWO burgers. When you have 2 cars in the drive through. I used to work at whataburger, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to do your job the right way.

Great place. Super friendly staff and such a nice atmosphere. Giving them one cuz when we left we got stuck cuz for some reason drive thru is on two lanes which doesn't allow someone to leave. Fix it and my star review will reflect all the positive I said .
I came in with my family to order and the girl at the register was flat-out rude from the start. She rushed me and acted like she couldn’t be bothered to do her job. It was uncomfortable and honestly ruined my experience. My kids even noticed how impatient she was. If your cashier can’t treat people with basic respect, she shouldn’t be the first face customers see.
I was on hold for 10 minutes and drive up and everyone is just laughing it up at the counter. If your sales are down for this night Its because they’re just messing around. Poor management! I told them I was still on hold when I walked in and they just ignored what I said. Now I get home and my order is wrong. I can’t even call to complain because the same people are working. No confidence with these immature people working there. What’s next food poisoning?
I went to pick up a to-go order. The cashier was not at all pleasant. Great food great price service not so great.
If I can give lower than 1 star, I would. When we walked in it was stinky and food is not delicious. I ordered loin and it’s full of carrots and oily. The lemon pepper fish is breaded and old. It’s a bad experience.
Disappointing order… called to make sure they added chips to my egg drop soup.. one entree and when I got home, no chips called and was met with a sad excuse to drive again to pick up the chips for free the dumb manager said!! They are with the order I was supposed to get in the first place so how are they free. Then proceeded to say we don’t offer any compensation or free items for the mistake… I drove twice for this order so my gas and time don’t matter let alone the inconvenience of having to move my schedule to eat cold soup. This place six’s and so does the management.I went back picked up the order not one word.. she put extra chips and No word or apology. Disappointed
So I tried calling in my order and as soon as they answer they put me on hold. First time for 8 minutes then they hang up. The 2nd time I try calling they do it again but I'm on hold for 15 minutes. All while I go inside to see why don't they answer and both lady's are standing there sipping their fountain drinks not even worried about picking the phone back up to get my order. I stay on the phone and watch the lady hang it up. I really like their food and want to put in a order so I won't have to wait in that hot place but they make it difficult.
Aurora e if that’s even her name cashier with black hair and piercings on her lip ,on 8/19/25 was being extremely rude to my 75 year-old grandmother, she is impaired at hearing and was asking her a question about the drinks and combos because they stated that they don’t have any soda at all only sweet tea and my grandmother was asking if there is a way that she can substitute the drink because she’s paying full price for the combo for an eggroll and the lady at the cashier with the piercings on her lips Was telling her do you want to yell at me again which my grandmother couldn’t hear her so that’s why she raised her voice. I then told her there’s no reason to be rude and she continue to give me attitude and roll her eyes. She needs to be fired because she has no communication skills and was being extremely rude to not only my impaired hearing grandmother, but also me as well. Why are you paying full price on a combo meal of your not getting everything you payed for. also, the manager on site was standing right next to her and didn’t try to de-escalate or intervene. She was no help as well when I asked to speak to somebody else. They were no help this Chinese restaurant we have been coming here for years. I’ve never had an issue to speak to the gentleman in charge and they wouldn’t give me an exact time or day that he will be here.
I was really looking forward to this visit since most of their restaurants have already closed. The food was ok but not what it used to be. At the end I left hard pieces of overcooked rice and chicken that seemed undercooked and gummy. Not coming back again. Sad to say but maybe this location should also close with their poor attitude and food.
