Love the pulled pork, meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn and green beans...EVERY TIME! AND THE LIGHT GRAVY ON ALL OF IT!!

Luckily me and my family went when the crowds were pretty low. The wait staff were as friendly and attentive as ever, restaurant looked clean, restroom could use some sort of air freshener cause jeez...And this is for the other customers not the restaurant, it's all you can eat, not eat till you barf then eat some more, rinse and repeat. I had the Bourbon chicken, bbq chicken, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, white rice, and several slices of meatloaf, it was all good.

Quite the unexpected Surprise!! Had not been in a GC in years! Every bite I took was prepared & seasoned well. Service was spot on & value for return was Great! I'm definitely going back next time I'm in the area!

They did accommodate my group of 12 in a separate area. The food was always very good.

I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit to a Golden Corral in about 15 years. Everything on the buffet was hot and fresh. Especially surprising was the perfect medium rare cook on the to-order top sirloin.

Food is good. Great selection but you must arrive at least two hours before since food and desert tables start getting picked up one hour before closing time .

To start...it's a buffet. Over the last year we've been back 6 times. Food has been good, especially the steaks. Dishes and utensils clean. Staff was very helpful, hard working and seemed in good spirit. If you can handle being around an occasional gross customer, try it out. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. Just my opinion.

I went around 7pm and they still had people coming in droves. Pretty much all the tables were full & those that weren't had stacks of plates with food . So i sat & ate my good at a table occupied by food. I ordered a well done steak twice,the both had pink in tje middle n bloody but the ends were edible and was good.

We had a wonderful waiter. Very young and very polite. It’s a good place to eat and really enjoy your food. Thank you Sabestian for being a great person and hard worker you really made our day.

We went here on a Sunday and its packed, no wonder why - because they serve fresh food. Imagine having steak or ribs cooked to your preference in front of you. I love their salad bar, my daughter can’t help coming back to the dessert area for the choco fountain, cakes, and ice cream. The staff assigned to my table was very pleasing and sweet.

Staff worked very well together. Very impressed with how they kept the trays full of food during the lunch rush. Clean.

I recently visited this Golden Corral location for the first time and was not disappointed. The employees were friendly, the dining area clean, and most important, the food was great. Everything I tried was good, fresh, and hot. There was a pretty wide selection of food as well. I'll definitely eat here again in the future. Cheers to the staff!

We went during the 7:00 PM Friday rush, and even though the parking lot was packed, the front desk got us seated in under 10 minutes. The management here is top-tier. you could see them constantly checking the Salad Bar to make sure the toppings were full and the ice was fresh. Our server was incredibly fast with the drink refills, which is a miracle on a Friday. Truly the best comfort food experience in town. 🤍

Everything was really great. So many different foods available , you would be hard pressed to not find something you like. Tables are slightly too close, so allow persons who need a bit more space on the outer aisles. Wait staff are wonderful and very accommodating.

We went to Golden Corral for Friday dinner with two kids, two adults, and one senior, and overall, it was a great experience. My personal favorites were the pulled pork, popcorn shrimp, mushrooms, zucchini, and the medium rare steak. On this visit, the steak was cooked perfectly, which was a real highlight! Our server was also very kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The total price for all five of us was $83.50, which we felt was pretty reasonable for the variety and quality of food. The only downside was that it was a bit crowded, but that’s to be expected on a Friday evening. All in all, we had a good time and enjoyed the meal!

Pretty decent day! If you go in the mornings/lunch time and get a private room… and they book another group at the same time…. Be prepared for ugly looks. Especially from the older crowd. I go to the corral in California and Vegas...first time to one in Texas...what a difference...the selection of food was great but most and i mean MOST of all it taste good. Everything i ate was prepared well. I actually felt like I've been cheated all these years in Cali and Vegas. Go here...enjoy here...good choice for the money. Golden corral managment if you read this you guys really need to fix this...there should be consistency because ill never enjoy your other locations now. The selection in Texas is just wrong in comparison to the afore mentioned states and this is why and only why i took a star....SMH!!!

Chill atmosphere, especially with how packed it was. I was hoping they'd have a chocolate fountain here, that's the only reason me and my daughter wanted to go here. We never got a refill on our drinks the entire time we were there though, that's the only negative thing. Other than that, the food was great as always.

They're doing a good job having buffet with servers so there is social distancing. The bacon was not good and they have no salsa, hello you're in San Antonio but the rest was pretty good. Hubby really enjoyed his omelet.

This Golden Corral and it's location is convenient and right off of 410. We went on a Sunday and it was packed. I really do not go to buffet but wanted to go to GC because I haven't been in years. The food was good but too many people. The servers were very friendly, busy, and hard working. The people who go to GC, most, are friendly, nice and patient. On this Sunday, remind you, this is after church (now), people were being rude to the servers and being demanding over buffet food, which the servers are constantly bringing (out) more of!!! It's not like the food was going anywhere! To the staff that works at this location and the other GC's if noone appropriates your services, there are people who do (like me)! Lol You all have a hard and demanding job and you do not need people who are impatient and committing glunty to give you crap cause they have issues. I recommend GC but know that SUNDAYs are good and terrible, if you want to eat and not have drama. People aren't controlling their kids at the buffets and people are rude to the elderly. T. Nelson

Went for the first time in years. It's been slightly updated but the furniture still has a way to go. The food was fresh and tasted pretty good. Kinda like a fancy hotel breakfast I guess. The kinda hotel that delivers the food to your room on a tray not the buffet family kind. I'd eat here again, I'd rather try their dinner and lunch options. Those would probably be better. Very busy place. The staff did keep up with replenishing the buffet. This location did not offer military discount. That was a little disappointing. If you need to get around by wheelchair, try to check how busy it is. One gentleman in an electric chair, struggled to get around the crowd. Food was great, I had the liver and onions. Still very affordable.

Very few restaurants in San Antonio were open on Thanksgiving 2022 besides hotel buffets. Even one popular restaurant on a Google search claiming to be open on Thanksgiving was not, which I verified twice. (I think a previous Thanksgiving 2021 review remained on their website. Be sure to call to verify any holiday opening.) This Golden Corral is located on Loop 410 near the Summit Parkway exit, not far from Walmart and just south of Sam's Club, on the frontage road. As expected, the line at the front door at 1:00 PM was lonnnng. All parking spaces, including 4 handicap spaces, were full, because of this special holiday! Since I'm familiar with Sam's Club, I let my family out and parked in the Sam's Club parking lot. Normally, parking would not have been an issue. The line outside the entrance was slow at first, but picked up pace. It took about 35 minutes to transverse to the cashier to pay for our holiday meals. [Good news: my wife and I didn't have to ask for senior discounts for our meals. Bad news: we didn't have to ask.] Golden Corral was well prepared for a large, Thanksgiving 2022 crowd. Terrific service on both sides of the buffet, there were many options from multiple buffet lines. For my part, I started by building, and actually eating, a healthy green salad to balance some less healthy treats. Then, I chose some traditional Thanksgiving dishes, like a slice of tender turkey breast and cornbread, green beans, and for us southerners, fried okra. I also chose a slice of ham and a generous portion of beef brisket. Known for their carrot cake, I chose a slice for dessert, though I'm usually a chocolate lover; the carrot cake was a good choice. Again, service was great, particularly in spite of hundreds of patrons. Not exaggerating too much, I remarked to one hostess that by the end of the day, Golden Corral will have fed the equivalent of a small town. At no time did I hear a groan by any employee because of the throngs of diners. Our server in our section, wearing her own "turkey apron," checked on us, as well as other tables, several times. BTW, servers and other employees at Golden Corral can accept tips, and they were well-deserving today. One last thing. I noticed a family paused before eating to pray and give thanks to the One who provided the first American Thanksgiving. Wonderful! This is a new 2025 review for the Thanksgiving holiday. It took three of us 1 hour and 15 minutes to go through the line to order and pay; very few restaurants in San Antonio are open on Thanksgiving. Was it worth the wait? I'm not convinced. One reviewer stated GC no longer gives military discounts; management answered by asking the reviewer to contact him, but his answer was not reviewable. For my wife and I, a senior discount of $1 was applicable. I was also qualified for a retired Navy veteran discount if a senior discount was not available. The final price was $69.86 for the three us. The value for the money was about what I expected: the food was fine in most cases; however, my wife's white turkey slice was moist and tender, but mine was just average.

This location on Bandera Rd & 1604, does not have as much of selection. It did seem to be fresher food today. In the past the food looked like it had sat there awhile. I eat at two other locations at least 1 time/week. Many weeks 2-3 times. It really feeds my husband and I for our 1 main meal a day. We are both seniors. We can budget to eat out because they have the early bird special.

The San Antonio loop 410 location is where I ate. My experience was half bad and half good. First of all I recommend going to another location you are military or support your troops. This one told me they no longer do military discounts because of an incident. Like that has anything to do with the rest of us who weren't involved. When I asked why I was being charged dinner prices at noon, I was told that dinner starts at 11 on weekends. Wish I knew that, I would have gone during the week. On the good side, the steak, fried fish , fried chicken and roasted chicken were delicious. So overall, I ate decent but I will never go to this location again due to how military isn't respected.

Today my wife and I went to eat at this Golden Corral location and the cashier mistakenly charged me for a Coke when it comes with my senior meals, my wife ordered water. When I went back up to the register to straighten it out the cashier was busy so Dora the manager helped me, she could not grasp the concept that I ordered a Coke and it came with my early bird senior meal and my wife ordered water. She literally argued with me about it I don't understand how somebody in a manager position could not grasp the concept we've been coming to this Golden Corral for years never had a problem what this is the first time I've had to deal with her and she is not a friendly or understanding person and would not actually listen, she had her own concept of reality that did not match the reality the rest of us are in. If the rest of the staff wasn't competent and friendly we would probably choose not to return and tell others not to go here.

It's a hit or miss with the food but you should be able to find at least 1 thing you'll go back for. The wait staff is nice and attentive. The management? They have issues with the cash registers OFTEN and when this happens management is no where to be found to help with the long lines that form. You can tell the employees get stressed and honestly they don't get paid enough to deal with it but management does so it's crazy that they're not front and center showing their support but I've only once ever seen management on the floor, it was months ago and this gentleman was actually walking around asking people if everything was okay and if they needed anything. Maybe he was from corporate I don't know but that was refreshing. The line that formed from the cash registers problems.

Lately the food has been very disappointing. Here is an example the chicken has been undercooked the meat is way too salty and the mac and cheese is watery also please bring back the wings and the spaghetti sauce not the one they have they really messed up there make it a meat sauce again

Got Takeout. They charge you for the food and the containers that you put the food in. I worked at Golden Corral and it was policy that we always deduct the weight of the containers.

This place is a hit or miss. I paid $4 extra for a steak and that steak was awful. It had no taste to it. It was not worth paying $4 extra for something with no flavor. I notified the staff and they didn’t care.

I used to love coming to this Golden Corral, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. But recently I’m not sure what is going on but the staff is very rude, prejudice and down right disrespectful. At first I went to get a steak I waited for a while though I was before most people the cook passed steak out to those that look similar to him. And me I was basically last though again I was before most of the people that had recently joined the line. I simply ignored it. later on My mother stood in line at the meat/steak section waiting for about 5-10 minutes. We where the first ones there than slowly more people started coming out of no where this women the same complexion as the cook was able to skip every one. When my mother spoke up it was meet with attitude and almost as if he wanted to fight my mother. She went to go speak to a “manager” again she was basically belittled and ignored. From this experience it’s clear that if you don’t meet the ethnicity and or skin color “requirements” this place is not for you. Golden Corral has become way too expensive to be discriminated and disrespected like this. At this point if you are African American this is not the location for you. Do better, also we did reach out online to a manager again ignored because apparently this is what they stand by. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!

The page looked nice. To you get to the restroom that smells so bad. You can tell they are understaffed for the amount of people in there. There was a water leakage and the carpet was discolored. Everything I tasted was so bad. The only thing that was decent was the ground beef. 🤢 very disappointing. The cashiers were rude and had little customer service. I will never return..

The bakery now has waffles. Asked the bakery attendant if she could warm butter, she says ask your waitress to do it..It's not about what she said, it could've been said better..or even an attempt. It's called experience making, hospitality, and the willingness. Without customers there are no paychecks. Also saw her let a kid make the waffle has a sign says no one under 16. Glad she did not get burned.

The food was bland and dry, but the coke was good. The service was good and the atmosphere was alright, I don’t like how they only play country music and think I almost went deaf. Very creepy and spooky, felt like I was being watched by the roof and lights. Way better in Galveston. Overall 2/10 🤮 🤢.
