This review is long overdue! My mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and I visited Local Coffee over Memorial Day weekend! We walked over to it from the Food Hall. Perfect location! It has a great atmosphere and the staff was friendly and professional. I specifically remember the playlist hitting! I’m like 50% sure So Sick by Ne-Yo was playing while we were in there. I ordered the Orange Vanilla latte and it was so good! The gals I mentioned before enjoyed their drinks too!! Thanks, Local Coffee!

10 out of 10 would recommend so first of y’all know I am from New York and we have amazing coffee houses and have had tons of great experiences how ever as we traveled to San Antonio , Texas this week for customer meetings we stumbled across this amazing Coffee House in the heart of what is known as The Pearl area downtown right near the river walk. I was blown away !! Devin with his amazing customer service as soon as we walked and Megan with her skill of crafting the hands down best Iced Chai latte I have ever had!! Mind you I’ve traveled all Over and have had chai from many places !! This by sat was the best my boyfriend had the espresso he is an espresso man and said it was a great espresso!! You get a little water with your espresso to wash down which is great at a coffee house. The warm chocolate chip sea salt cookie was a perfect combination!! Will absolutely come back !!

Opened until 8pm! We wanted hot cocoa on our visit to the Pearl on Saturday. Local coffee was the only place still opened and actually had Hot cocoa, it was delicious! The employees were friendly and kind. The atmosphere is laid back and cozy. I returned on Monday and it was great the second time around!

Stopped in today and was impressed. It was a on the busy side, but the staff was able to get everyone taken care of without a long wait. We ordered a regular latte and a latte with a shot of Mexican vanilla and enjoyed them while strolling through the scenic Pearl where it is located. The staff was friendly and the prices are actually not bad. Very comparable to most premium coffee shops. If you find yourself in the historic Pearl brewery and are wanting a good coffee, give them a try.

BLUF: Solid coffee offerings, get coffee here if you’re at The Pearl, but wouldn’t come to The Pearl to get coffee here. Local business. I’ve always had a great experience at Local Coffee Founders at The Pearl. Their cold brew is a reliable thirst quenching caffeinated option if you’re in the area, and they offer all of the coffee shop staples you’d expect. During peak hours, this isn’t the coffee shop I’d come to for relaxation or to get some work done on my laptop, the interior is small, seating is limited, and the ambient noise is louder than you’ll find in other places. They’re dog friendly, but I would recommend going with someone that can wait outside while you order or vice versa. Service has always been fairly good, but you’ll definitely want to listen closely for them to announce your order is ready. There’s ample seating outside in the adjacent courtyard and The Pearl District in general. I like to get coffee here when I’m already in the area, especially during the weekend markets, but this isn’t the place I’d come to get coffee otherwise. As with most businesses at The Pearl you’re going to be paying a comparative premium to the cost of similar goods elsewhere. Things worth knowing ahead of time: Ample parking at The Pearl, cost varies based on the time and day of the week though. I believe it’s still free weekdays before 3pm, and always free for the first 30 minutes. Expect to walk a bit regardless of where you park, as there is no parking directly adjacent to the cafe.

The line was out the door on a Saturday morning! It was very busy, but they were quick and efficient. The coffee was good and the baristas were friendly. Good, quality coffee to take on the go as you walk around Pearl.

Cute coffee shop located at the Pearl. My husband and I love our coffee in the morning so tried Local Coffee. Unfortunately, Dark Roast Coffee is not served only medium brew which we were disappointed to find. Our coffee was good a bit weak to our liking. Good customer service with friendly baristas. We enjoyed our coffee at the outdoor seating area under the trees.

Stopped by here while we were walking at the pearl farmers market! We wanted to get the turmeric ginger chai but it was already sold out for the day. So we got matcha 🍵 latte with almond milk and chai tea with almond milk. Chai was good but match was too plain and felt like they put match in warm almond milk… a bit of sweetness could be helpful but it was just too plain for $4. But I like the local coffee shop like this tho! It’s nice to have it like that in the community. Cheers 🥂

First time trying Local Coffee with a friend , the iced Salted Caramel Latte with almond milk was perfect . My friend is not really a coffee lover but enjoyed her hot chocolate with marshmallows inside . The Cinnamon Coffee Gluten Free Muffin was delicious oh my goodness . Our barista was so kind and sweet to us . Looking forward to try more of their options when I visit The Pearl again .

Stopped in for a vanilla latte with oat milk. I wanted to see how it compared to other coffee shops’ in the area. I was disappointed. Even after getting extra vanilla added to it, it was still pretty bitter with an aftertaste (maybe from the extra vanilla?). Ended up throwing the coffee away. I’ll try Local Coffee again, but won’t be getting a latte again here anytime soon!

The coffee is great, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. The staff seems more interested in chatting with each other than attending to customers, which makes the service much slower. If they could be more focused, I bet the place would be making more sales while providing a smoother experience. This shop used to be very attentive when it first opened, but that high standard only lasted a couple of years.

I’ve given this place one TOO many chances. What I ordered: Iced americano with cream and Mexican Vanilla syrup. What I got: an iced cup of BITTER disappointment (again) ***Definitely a tourist trap*** Maybe I’ll just give the regular water a try next time (IF I decide to stop again) The employees ARE friendly.
