I've been here with some friends and I tried soft tacos with chicken. We got some tacos with tomato salsa and jalapeno salsa as snack while we were waiting. The food was good and the staff so friendly, that we came back. I had a cheese quesadilla the 2nd time it I liked it even better than the tacos. If I come back to Miami I'd like to visit you again! First off, the guy that owns and runs it is actually Mexican! Ain't no imposter running this joint! The food is it of control. The salsa? Yeah, it's made fresh every day! I've never found a better tasting salsa anywhere! Everything you order is delicious. It gives you that hole in the wall feel, but is warm and inviting. I have never been in there and not had awesome service! Make this a destination restaurant if you're not in the area.

Can't beat their food quantity and price. The burritos are large, the chip dip is made from scratch and guacamole is one of the best you could taste without the whole "show" on the side of your table. Their "mole" sauce is amazing...not very chocolate or burnt taste....just right.

Since first getting to know this family owned restaurant we fell in love. The authenticity is here. The love in the food is there. We have ordered for delivery twice since and the most important thing is consistency every time. The Pozole is so authentic I can eat it daily.

This is the best Mexican food I have ever had!! The owner came out and greeted me, and thanked me for coming to eat there. And he’s actually Mexican! We had a nice chat and he treated me to one of their desserts (a fried ice cream or something). The food itself was so fresh and delicious. For what you pay for, you get a large plate of authentic Mexican food, each type of food with a different variation depending on what you order. I love this place! If I don’t go at least once a month, then I’d be committing a crime against humanity (my own humanity by depriving myself of life, liberty, and happiness).

I've been coming here for many years now and I can never go wrong with ordering 1lb of Carnitas (Mixtas) with Tortillas and all the extras (Salsa Roja y Verde, Cilantro más la Cebolla), but I tend to add 1 extra order of Tortillas and also their Guacamole. OMG 5 of us eat for around $40 and we can make about 4-5 Taquitos each, beyond Yummy!! I order over the phone and by the time I get there from my House in Miami Gardens everything is ready (I Love their quick and efficient Service), to me when it comes to Authentic Mexican food near the area THIS IS THE PLACE to go and at least try them like I did and well now it's been years since I've been one of their many Loyal Customers!! A treasure nestled at the exit of NW 67th Avenue next to Miami Lakes and Country Club of Miami. Possibly the best kept secret in Mexican restaurants. The service, attention, and food were amazing. The owner and his staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. The guacamole with chicharron, chicken steak and carnitas were so delicious, not greasy and with great flavor. You could tell that they cooked with love. Highly recommend Los Magueyes. You will not be disappointed.

Although I have several Mexican restaurants closer to me, I travel all the way to Los Maguelles because the food is delicious and authentic. My friend had the Burrito Michuacan and I had the Chicken Quesadilla, both dishes were tasty and everything was made to order. This is by far my family and friends favorite Mexican restaurant!

My family has been coming to this restaurant for several years. The atmosphere, food and customer service is always ****. The business is always accommodating to the customer. They offer a ride variety of natural juices and authentic Mexican dishes. Menudo is amazing soup that not all Mexican restaurants offer. They can also accommodate large families 12 or more. Authentic Mexican food which is extremely difficult to find in South Florida where we reside. We were in town for three days and dined at Los Mugueyes all three days, yes flood that great!! Burritos, enchilada, tongue and shrimp tacos. Chimichangas!!! Staff is nice too, prices reasonable and portions are large.

This is the best authentic Mexican Restaurant in the area. The food is quality fresh, the seasoning authentic and the service is without equal even compared to higher (hyped) places. Reasonably priced. The decor is simple yet very cultural and the place is clean/spotless. Carlos and his brothers are excellent hosts and will make you feel like part of the family. My wife and I have been coming here for years and we both LOVE this place. They have indoor and outdoor sitting. By the way, they are now expanding into the space next door. Highly recommend.

The best Mexican restaurant I tried in Miami. An authentic and reasonable place to visit for delicious Mexican food. I went there at least 3 times in a week of stay in Miami. Excellent service. We tried spinach and queso quesadilla along with Verde Enchiladas. Margarita is a must try. Highly recommended!

Vividly decorated little restaurant with a very happy staff. I had the Quesadilla Mexicana and it tasted fresh and came presented nicely on the plate. Each table receives a chips and salsa to start and a nice touch at the end they include little candy pieces with your check.

Truly authentic Mexican food! I was there Friday for dinner then Sunday I did take out for some pozole and menudo. Both times the food was delish, I was surprised with the take out that it included all the fixings including tortillas! Loved it. By the way for dinner I tried the Margaritas and they were very delicious, I told my husband he had competition! I will definitely be back again.

The servers were extremely attentive and personable. And the food! OMG, this is the closest to authentic Mexican food you can find in this side of Miami. This is my favorite Mexican place in Miami since I came here 5 years ago. In the beginning it had few tables but after the pandemic they acquired the place next door and made the restaurant twice the size. Prices increased significantly, you can see right now a lot of many waiters but, diferent people. I hope that in the future it does not lose that essence that I liked when I met it.

I love Mexican food. This restaurant had great reviews so I decided to try it. They have both inside and outdoor dining. I chose to sit outside. I can tell a lot about a Mexican restaurant based on their tortilla chips and salsa. The tortilla chips were crunchy and the salsa had a rich flavor. Then I ordered the tortilla soup which was quite flavorful and filling. I also ordered a shrimp ceviche for protein. It was quite tangy. Quality shrimp. My only challenge was that most of the staff only spoke Spanish which I don't. So I found it difficult to communicate with my waitress. Otherwise I'd like to go back and try their mole.

The food was great! Steak tacos and quesadillas, rice, beans were scrumptious. Great fast service and as soon as you sit down, you get complimentary tortillas and sauce. I give 4 stars because they didn't put queso fresco on anything.

I stumbled upon this gem of a Mexican joint while roaming around Miami Lakes, nestled snugly in a local strip mall. The welcoming hostess and waitress were like the salsa to my chips – on point! Speaking of chips and salsa, they served up the classic duo: one mild (red) and the other a cheeky green with a hint of spiciness. Now, let's talk burritos. I'm talking Mole Burrito, folks! And let me tell you, it was colossal – like, King Kong-sized! Smothered in mole goodness – a compelling mix of chocolatey goodness with just the right sweetness. I swear, I nearly devoured the whole plate, but hey, I decided to be a responsible adult and save some for work lunch the next day. Spoiler alert: it was just as epic reheated! So, if destiny ever leads me back to Miami Lakes, you better believe I'm hitting up this Mexi heaven again!

We ordered yesterday some duos that come one burrito one option of quesadillas we ordered the 2 options as quesadillas the only difference was that one was with onions that looks like 2 tacos is suppose to be the quesadilla and the other one since it was for my kid and he only wanted cheese and chicken as it said in menu and picó de gallo etc on side. Well his came with tomatoes inside and cilantro which kids are picky of. Mine looked like 2 tacos as you can see in pictures we also had 2 tostadas but only ate the top part no tostada there since when it gome home it was soggggyyy like you could not enjoy nothing else then the salad and chicken. It was not bad in flavor but we love Mexican food and somehow this was ok but not as expected. Better tostadas it was like a bland corn tortilla nothing crunchy like the word tostadas refers to.The rice is a normal vegetable rice not Mexican yellow rice. The tortilla soups were superrrr yummmm we liked those. The big salads with chicken those are the (tostadas) which I had to slide out of the plate it comes since it could not be grabbed with hands because it dismantled completely.

Service was good and so were the carnita tacos. However the chips were cold, didn’t taste fresh and both salsas need to be improved. The red salsa had no flavor and the green one was spicy but watery. Neither of them had substance…they were too watery

So we are usually regulars to this establishment. We came in to enjoy some nice Mexican food. When we got the bill, we were shocked to see that 20% gratuity was already included with just a party of 4 (which was never disclosed to us) and on top of that, will be charging us taxes on our gratuity… so we are paying for the establishments taxes?? Also, they have a cash option of less than the total amount, however, charge a card fee? Which again, is also not disclosed. Whoever took over running this establishment needs to look up the laws of owning one. I’m pretty sure this is illegal. Needless to say, I hope everyone takes the time to read this review. I hope the owner takes the time to read this as well. This is ridiculous. *Note, nowhere on the menu nor the door did it mention any added fees.

I used to go to this place since their opening, however the food quality is not the same. Last year I had spoiled chicken ( I had not returned until today). Today the beans were bad, the smell was awful. I will never return, even though I used to like them a lot. This is not fair to customers.

On Friday Nov 1st, we seating outside, the restaurant wasn't full, there available tables inside, so not too full, after 10 minutes, a couple seat outside, and the server go straight to their table passing by our table without saying a word to us. Very bad customer details.

Went with my husband and ordered 1 order of fajitas but with 3 meats but asked to take out the shrimp and swap it for more steak. So in spanish only, I speak only english fluently, she said 1 of each so we said yes, thinking she was confirming we only wanted steak and chicken! This woman brings out 2 orders of fajitas!! Then when I tell her, she said I thought you wanted 2 orders! I tell her no and she just says you want me to bring a to go box!!! They charged us for 2, I wasnt going to fight and the food tasted like CRAP!!! There was literally NO FLAVOR at all to the meat! They just threw the meat on the grill with no seasoning or anything and the salsa for the chips, same thing! No flavor!! CANCUN GRILL around the corner is better or Tiagos Tacos! I DO NOT RECOMMEND at all!!! DONT waste your money!

I ordered Mexican chicken. It had NO FLAVOR, NO TASTE. It tasted like water, I was very disappointed as I am a big fan of Mexican soup. The salsa that comes with the chips had no flavor whatsoever. I had to go home and doctor it up. The employee are very friendly and welcoming but the soup was not it.

This place got the review I gave it because up until it came to entrees things went south. I brought my family here and it started off great. We ordered the apps came out then my kids entress came out and that's it. My wife's and my order never came. Although the couple behind us, next to us, and adjacent direction came in after and got great service... that wasn't our case. So after sitting there with the hopes of maybe it was coming soon it wasn't. Then when asked for the bill the waitress asks if im taking the rest of the order to go. After almost half hour and everyone else getting their orders, we definitely said no we will not be taking this order to go. If I wanted to eat at home I would have cooked. Sadly I felt that because we came in causal we got over looked. I won't be coming back to this location and as a Mexican American this place let us down.
