This place was great. Being from NYC, I felt like I was back home. It's pretty nostalgic, with many foods from NYC and items on the walls that reminded me of home. We were seated by the iconic picture of the Manhattan Bridge with the Empire State Building peeking through one of the towers. I had the chicken with French toast. I'm not sure what was in that syrup, I think it was homemade, but it made every bite enjoyable. My family were all nodding their heads in approval. We will definitely be heading back. Thank you.

Came in a Sunday morning very busy however able to get a seat for our 11 people group for outside pretty much immediately server was Abby parentheses I think) and she did great at accommodating us and checking in on us. Food came out fast and delicious from omelettes to waffles to pancakes, the bagels, the smoked salmon, bacon sausage everything tasted delicious. It’s about a $15-$25 entrée per person so not the cheapest experience however a great experience very inviting atmosphere. That definitely has that diner deli field of New York. Great foods large parking lot would highly recommend. Look forward to going back when I’m back in San Antonio.

The diner is gorgeous! The desserts looked amazing!! The service was top tier. Though the prices were a bit high, this place is a must visit! We ordered a create your own omelette with homestyle seasoned potatoes, chocolate chip pancakes with eggs and sausage, and banana pecan pancakes with eggs and bacon. A black coffee and a shirley temple which was soo good!! Total to $80.

First time here and now my favorite breakfast spot, the service was incredible from all staff but Jeff really made the experience all the better, the best server I’ve had by far. The food was amazing and came out fast for how busy the restaurant was, and the orange juice is freshly squeezed definitely worth the try!

Amazingly comforting food! Extensive menu of lots of faves that are hard to find. Unfortunately I always forget to take pics of the dishes but rest assured everything is delicious. Sometimes there is a wait on weekends but there is bar seating and outdoor. Even when the place is packed everyone is very friendly and will stop to help you, which is hard to come by these days. The blintzes, challah French toast and skillet Mac n cheese are all time faves! Coffee is delicious and fresh tasting.

oh my god!!! i NEVER leave reviews on restaurants but this place was just amazing all-around i need to let other people know. this was my family and i's first time visiting and the atmosphere was very welcoming coming in, we were greeted by peter who i want to assume is a manager. after being seated we were checked on by our waiter, peter, and the kitchen manager andy too. such a sweet staff. they described the food as "new york style in texas portions" and they werent lying. my meatball parm sub was huuuge (and delicious). we will definitely be visiting again to try everything on their texas sized menu.

They have a variety of choices in this large resturant. Their sister shop is also a coffee and expresso bar next door. I had their matcha latte which wasn’t bad. I enjoyed the Turkey dinner which I appreciate and was good since I didn’t get any turkey over Thanksgiving. Lol. Fixed solved!

My first time here and I will be back!..The cleanliness of the restaurant the staff, shout out to Max my waiter, most importantly the food All Outstanding and I’m making plans to visit again, next time for breakfast. The restaurant itself has the appearance of a Diner but the food is like a high quality 5 star restaurant really enjoyed my lunch here

A couple years ago I had a co-worker recommended Max and Louie to us. In the past menus with a lot of options to us havent had the food quailty so we didn't start going until this year when I was looking for shakshuka. I wish we would have started sooner so I could have worked my way further thru the menu. We've been four times already and so far we've really enjoyed everything we have tried. Service has also been consistently friendly and professional. We will continue to visit and would recommend to others without any hesitation. Its been decently busy each visit, but we haven't hit a long wait time. There is plenty of free parking as well. They also have a patio area for dining, but im not looking into that until temperatures are more reasonable (though I noticed they have shades and fans out there). All in all, and great spot.

First time here! Had a last minute brunch date. Saturday morning, going into the start of lunch hours. BUSY! But luckily had the option to sit out by their patio with no wait time at all. Really loved how immediately the hostess asked how our day is before even asking how many to a table. Friendly staff! Including our waitress :) We had the chili loaded fries (oh my! So cheesy, full of flavor, even kidney beans were topped within the chili!) a absolute fave. Also, ordered a puzzle with pepperoni & spinach. One of us had their French toast. Additionally, their New York hot sandwich. So much food! Flavor! Had to bring half home. Will be going back.

Great diner!! Super busy, definitely use the wait-list. Our server was new, but she was so amazing, never would have guessed she was new if she hadn't said anything. Super attentive and so friendly! We went and tried a bunch of items. I am always going to try matzo ball soup, their's was delicious. Some of got the Franks meals, they were good, but to the smaller size. The meatball sub though, OMG!!! Also the salad trio, freaking so tasty!!! Wish I was less full, looked like their desserts were great!! Bagels are also so so so good! Overall, great little deli/diner vibes, great for a weekend lunch/brunch!

Food is picture perfect and there is a vast menu selection. Love breakfast any time off the day so offering breakfast all day is a plus for me! Super crowded and loud when busy on a Sat afternoon. Unfortunately the kitchen was probably overwhelmed because the food took quite a while and it was not even warm. I would give it another try on a week day when it is not so busy.

This was our first time at the restaurant. They were inviting, the space was clean, and the front area provided a lot of delicious bakery items. The portions were huge, so keep this in mind when ordering. We ordered a Rueben and a classic turkey club. So thick we couldn’t eat in one bite. The bread, although made fresh daily was a bit too hard for my liking. Overall the friendliness, portion, and something different makes it a great place to stop.

Can’t say enough about the meal I just had the Max & Louie’s. Not just the food (which was excellent) but the overall experience. Everything from the music, to the staff, to the decor was just perfect. You can see the staff here enjoys what they are doing. The cooks in the back are joking and having a great time with the wait staff. The wait staff is interactive and persoanable. I stopped in the ice cream shop after my lunch and enjoyed a scoop of maple pecan. Huge cup for $4. I had dined here once before and definitely need to come back more often.

We did early breakfast/lunch here today. Great customer service and atmosphere. We ordered the Southern Breakfast Platter with additional side of sausage and ordered the Florentine with Challah bread. All of the breakfast food was excellent with each order having more than enough food to split between 2 adults. We also did takeout orders for dinner of Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy and green beans and an order of Chicken Parmesan. Both takeout orders were ample food portions and the food was good. We ordered desserts consisting of a large cinnamon roll and a Cream Puff. Both desserts were good but cinnamon roll was dry. We will definitely return here again soon and try some other dishes. Cappuccino and orange/pineapple juice were excellent.

Our waiter told us that the whole menu was available. When we ordered what we wanted, we were told that they couldn't make that at this time. Is the whole menu available or no??? Anyway, I was given recommendations on the Philly Cheesesteak Omlet which I did order. It was super bland. Had to douse it with hot sauce, salt and pepper just to get some flavor into it. My wife got the Bagel and Lox Sandwich. The bagel was super tough and hard. Sh had a hard time even eating it. Our server seemed to be lost and wandering around a lot. Took our order and then disappeared. I noticed that two other couples, that arrived about 10 minutes after we did (the had a different server) ordered and got their meals long before we got ours. Don't quite know why an omlet and a bagel took so long. We sat there at least 20 minutes waiting on our food as our server wandered somewhat aimlessly around. We ran out of coffee and had to stop a different server to get a refill as our server was talking at the hostess station. I haven't been to Max and Louie's for a while but the last time I was there, I remember the service being top notch and the food being super delish. This visit was a total miss.

We were highly disappointed. If you've been to a New York Jewish deli you would understand. Pastrami must have been rushed it did not have the flavor of making pastrami in the long process. The bagels were nowhere near the quality of a New York deli. The service was excellent but slow understandably so. Really believe the hype will leave you disappointed. It's not bad food it's just not as good as it could be. And the value was not good at all. Way overpriced. Jason's deli beats it hands down.

My Husband Decided To Celebrate Valentines Day Today Because He Will Be Out Of Town Tomorrow , And He Knows I Really Love This Diner.
