Good food at a good price. On this occasion I had the fideo loco and it was delicious. It was a bit oily at the top but I easily drained it with my spoon. Service was fast and friendly. We were seated and our orders were brought in under 20 minutes. It's for these reasons I'll keep coming back.

Other than mama Margie's or taco cabana which not to say anything bad about them, but they are a franchise, so they operate a bit different, Rocky's is a friendly family oriented restaurant that serves home cooked meals at the best affordable prices on any giving day. The place may be Poppin at 3 am on a Tuesday so like anyone the staff might make an error with an order so take some time to check your order before you leave. If there's an issue I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate to correct it. They'll be happy, you'll be happy, and the world will be a better place. If your like me having to pinch Penny's to stay afloat I recommend ROCKYS TACO HOUSE ON PLEASANTON RD. ANY DAY.. ANY TIME.

Let me start by saying, "24\7!".... And i might be off by 6 or 8 hours cause they do seem to close at odd times here and there but when i need a taco at 3:30am I know i can count on Rockies Tacos to settle my hunger. And not only is the food absolutely delicious but it's pricing isn't all that bad either. The enchilada plate is a daily special and boy is it amazing and very inexpensive. I wanna say it's only like 2.99 or 3.99.... Delicious, filling, and money left in your wallet, that's always nice. During peak hours the wait times might be a little, well a little excessive. But maybe that's the hunger pains turning into impatience. There is a "to go" window and you can always call ahead of you feel it's too crowded inside or if your a little too drunk to be civilized...lol... Either way Rockies is definitely a main stay, a staple of the community and for a reason. And it's because they, first and foremost make great food with competitive prices and nobody else is open when the bars shut down, they're just getting started.... If you've never been, GO! This place is definitely a favorite if I’m on the Southside of San Antonio! First time visiting, I had the Barbacoa tacos; this go round I had the beef enchiladas!! OMG, both were so delicious!! The homemade flour tortillas have that soft, fluffy feel; they leave very, very little of flour in your hands which make some of the best tortillas IMO! It’s a must go to, being that it’s 24 hours too! Any time is the perfect time to have some homemade Mexican food!

Chill family owned restaurant vibe. I ordered the 3 cheese enchilada plate, 1 brisket taco, 1 chorizo and potato taco (as per the servers recommendation), and a bean and cheese taco. We've been to Rockys many times. I really don't think i've ever walked out disappointed. The food is pretty good and i've had everything on the menu, well almost everything. One of my favorites is the menudo. It always taste fresh. I wish they would put more harmony. (Pozole) in it. The barbacoa always tastes fresh. The tripa taco are made to order. You can have them soft semi crispy, or super crispy. Iv had the Rockys plate, and it was big. They serve it to you on 2 plates. The Chalupa, the puffy taco and salad on one plate and the enchiladas, beans and rice on another. Oh before i forget tortillas are fresh. The flour and the corn are made in health. They are actually made when you order them. The corn tortillas are so good. They're not thin like your store bot.Tortillas these are a little thicker. They pair very well with the menudo. If I was to complain, the only thing would be that they nick you and die meal for all the little things like onion, Cilantro, extra limes. I don't mind paying it, but it should come with your menudo. But other than that, everything else is great. It's a great place to go after you leave a bar or a club. They are open 24 hours 7 days a week. On the weekends be prepared to wait. Especially if you go around 2am and 3am. If you do find yourself that you have to wait, just wait it's worth it.

This is a must visit place! it has a few locations, but the one on Pleasanton and SW Military Drive is the best. I think it's the original. The service is good, but sometimes the food can take a while to come out.... But it is so worth the wait- I promise you- you will love it. Prices are good. This place is always cold. It's perfect for a hot Texas day!

The food is always great here and top notch for the neighborhood but they advertise 24hrs a day but the last 2 times I've gone after 2am or so they've been closed. Maybe update hrs if needed or change open/closed hours.

I called in my order of 3 breakfast tacos. I was hung up on, on my 1st attempt. My 2nd attempt was a success. I arrived to pick up my order 9 minutes after placing the call. There were 2 ladies in the kitchen, yet my order had not been started yet. Thankfully, they got it dont quickly. The country a la Mexicana tacos were delicious! They were out of red sauce but had green. I was a little disappointed there. But those flour tortillas are what made everything better. They were simply amazing!!

If its past midnight and or maybe ur coming from a late night out or really at anytime of ur day/night its not too bad especially being a 24hr establishment..the breakfast tacos are good no real complaints except there a tad on the smaller side but nonetheless good.. the chips and salsa are without a doubt very good with the salsa nearly if not just perfect and the dinner plate as shown in the pictures is the Super Mexican Plate with adding the puffy taco (which in the end I had to take with me because the plate the way it came was filling enough) the only complaint on the food was the crispy taco shell tasted as if it sat out just a little to long but other than that everything else was good plus the service was good with friendly staff and clean environment.

Chips n Sauce 😋 I Usually Eat Taquiera n That's Always A Disappoint. I Haven't Tried Much In SA But For Now Rocky's Is Definitely A Pleaser. I only ordered bean and cheese tacos this time around, it's been awhile eating out again, so, I loved the over sized tortillas and homemade feel and just enough cheese for the beans buttttt, the beans tasted like they were from a can rather homemade themselves... Other than that it was okay.

I rate my last visit three stars out of five because there was a wait to be greeted at the window and a wait for the food. It seems to me like if you're dining in you get faster service. Orders that are picked up are usually not ready even though you called or ordered ahead online.

See a lot of mixed reviews on this one. My draw to Rocky’s is they are open 24 hours. I normally get out of work around 10:00-11:00 pm and it’s almost impossible to find decent food that late in this city. Today I had the fideo loco as well as a carne guiado taco with cheese. The cheese should be melted better, but the flavor was good. Fideo was a huge bowl. I did add a little green salsa to add some flavor. Overall I got a decent meal and didn’t have to rely on fast food.

Service could have been better. But in all fairness, there was only one waitress and 3-4 tables of people showed up at one time while we waited for our food. I ate the country sausage and egg. Flavor was good but I literally had to sop up the grease with three napkins. Too greasy.

Slow service for being the only ones dining in! They did not check in to see if i needed a drink or anything else! I waited 10 Mins for a refill and that is because I had to get up and ask for one! Food is good service sucks

I have been going to Rocky’s since 1995 , my sister and I go on a regular bases, the last 3 visits have been horrible, tonight was the worst , We order our drinks and then our food, my sisters order was completely wrong and I ordered a simple Picadillo tacos, when I got them the tortillas were super cold and the the meat as well, I asked for avocado and there was an amount the size of a dime, I returned my food because it was completely cold, after waiting 20 minutes for my food 3 tacos I cancelled the order cause I had lost my appetite, my sister did get her food which was lukewarm and her tortilla was very cold and hard. Rocky’s just lost to 2 loyal customers to bad service and cold food not just once but our last 3 visits and some staff can not speak or understand English. What happened to the Rocky’s I would go to ? I asked if the owner would be in the following morning and I was told they didn’t know. The restaurant was dead more tonight than most times I suppose the cold food and bad service has to be to blame. I would not recommend Rockys to friends or family anymore!

Food used to be good, but now they've changed. They're not the same. The chalupas seem to always be stale. They've cut back on ingredients as well. I barely had a few pieces of chicken on my chalupa. There is ALWAYS bones in my chicken, so be careful! Service could be better. Green salsa is so watery there's no flavor. This is sad, they used to be my favorite!! I come here every once a month because I like the Barbacoa to much and I might eat an extra taco. It is of sad news that I ordered crispy tripas and the 2nd taco I had had what seemed to be black pointy edgy rocks. I had to clean my mouth with the napkin as I chewed some and they broke and even cut my gum. They I was able to spit out 2 rocks about one 2mm in diameter and one 1mm in diameter. Please check your food. It's sad that they lost me as a customer as now I'm scared to eat a taco from here. So dam sad. I still paid except for the tripas with rocks in it. I'm not the type to make a scene. I wasn't even offered to not pay and the waitress even stated that this type of food can have rocks at times. In my 42 years of life and since I come from a Mexican family deep in Mexico never has this ever happened to me.

This place is no bueno we waited almost 45 minutes for tacos. Originally we had ordered hamburgers and they wait 20 minutes in to tell us they were out of the Pattie’s . So we ordered something else . When the order comes in they forgot one taco and the other taco was stone cold. Never asked us for refills or if we needed anything us. And to pay you wait about 5 minutes.. waitress have no clue what they are doing they are just all over the place.. Horrible service I think a one star is to much for this place

Worst service ever. ! Will never come here again! We were they only people here and I still waited about 20 before they came to offer us menu's. After getting our food they never checked on us again. I had to keep getting up to ask for napkins and refills. The waiter with piercing on her lip, acted like she didn't see me when I was right in front of her.

On Father's Day I ordered a dozen of bean and cheese tacos and 1 Carne guisada when my kidos received tacos it was completely wrong. I contacted Rockys and was told order would be replaced and delivered but unfortunately I was giving directions to the person on the phone the person seemed distraughted so I went and suggested that I would have my father pick up tacos even though I have paid delivery and service fee through there delivery service. But I would call and let them know if my father would go. So that was Sunday and today is Tuesday, so when I called to retrieve my order for my kids the owner states that he made tacos on Sunday and they went to waste so he wasn't gonna replace them. So u mean to tell me that my tacos had been sitting there all day with no phone call that my father was going to pick them up. That is a health violation and disgusting...especially since the owner admitted to it. He repeatedly hung up on me and said he would notify police if I kept calling cause I was yelling at him and I tried explaining that I work in a area where I echo and sound loud but he refused to listen and hung up called one last time and a female answered and said why are you crying mam...I told her u know what say what u gotta say out loud so everybody can hear but I'm crying because I'm a single mom w 3 kids and I just want what was owed to me but obviously they are so unkind and the owner told me to contact Uber and deal w them but I couldn't since it's been a few days and because I took the owners word my order would be replaced and of course a excuse occurred...it shouldn't matter how big or little the order is customer service should always be acknowledged by the staff and owner of any restraunt, store, or anything that is a service to anybody who is a customer. I was always told by my grandparents you treat the people the way u would want me to be treated with kindness and respect but that's not the experience here at Rocky's...even though I may be upset they have amazing food but there customer service from staff and the owner is unexceptable....I hope my feed back reaches out to people to learn what type of inhumanity that I have received from the owner...i wish nothing but success to Rockys...

Had some carne asada tortas purchased here, when they arrived to the house, it was ground beef. When confronted about it they said it was carne asada. Bruh it was carne molida. And then said that's their version of carne asada aka ground beef and that we should just stop going there. Okay sounds good. I'll be sure to let everyone at my work that we wont be doing taco runs for breakfast or lunch for that matter. Place has turned into trash. Haven't even mentioned where we've found roaches on the floor and they walked right over them. Place is trash now, not sure if it's new management or this is jist their new norm. The food here is really good, but I just placed an order for four barbacoa tacos, and the lime cilantro and onion that's supposed to come with the tacos is extra. That's just like selling a burger but the bun is extra. Ridiculous. Why would you serve someone french fries but then charge extra for ketchup? Ridiculous. The order i placed was from DoorDash, and when I called to ask them to add cilantro alignment onion because they never do, the lady said that you have to do it on DoorDash when there's not even an option for cilantro alignment onion on door dash. Very disappointing and ridiculous.

Went with a co-worker on our break. We sat down and waited 10 minutes before we left. Nobody came to acknowledge us or take our order. One girl was too busy talking to another guest, while the second lady was more interested in picking up chairs and moping. I usually get great service but this morning at 5:19am before going to work. The lady that served us was not very welcoming at all and to be honest was rude even when we were being very polite. I had not been to this place in about 15 yrs used to love it. I decided to try it again. Now I know why I stopped going. I ordered enchiladas they had a certain sweet taste. Then it came with a crispy taco which the meat was more white then brown didn't eat that. I didn't complain because I was on my lunch break and didn't have time for all that. Today we walked into Rockys. Waitress was very kind. Took our order. Me and my aunt had a menudo. We got it and had very little. I kept mine but my aunt send hers back and ordered something else. 20 to 30 minutes late my uncle waves at the manager. And asked him about my aunts plate. And he yells and was angry telling him he had other customers. And continues to be loud and so I tell him to calm down and yells at us for us to calm down. Which my uncle did was only ask where my aunts plate was ready. So he decided to cancel her food so we wait another 20 mins and ask waitress and she whispers that he canceled her food. Very rude and unprofessional. If he doesn't like his job he should not be working the night shift. And my aunt and uncle are seniors and disabled. I will never eat there again. So my uncle walks up to register to pay waitress tells him he can never eat there again. He loves to eat there and is a regular customer. Sad but you all lost a good customer. For his unprofessional job I rate you all bad service. Sorry not sorry...

Soft taco plate does not have soft tacos, but plain chicken enchiladas with lettuce, tomato, and cheese on top. I would not recommend this place.

Wow just ordered to go 3 tacos and they are cold ! Just ugh never again that is the worst service honestly!! Why ?

Ordered 2 fajita tacos requested avocado, instead payed full price for carne asada couple piece’s of fajita, check your orders people. Poor service, full price, trying to support business around this area sucks. They obviously did know my order.Gives a bad rep.

Regular customers, but tonight mgr.said we can nolonger be served. After many many years of going to Rockys we had never been disrespected or denied food. Tonight just like any other time we go my niece and I ordered menudo. My niece was served first and immediately she brought it to the mgr.attention that the bowl hardly had any menudo. He ignored her and walked away. He brought my bowl and it was the same thing. I let him know that both our bowls hardly had menudo in them. He (mgr.)said I can tell the cook but if they add more I would need to charge you for extra menudo. I told him I didn't want mine. He became very upset. He then brings my friends plate of huevos ranchero. My friend then asked the mgr.to please bring me a plate like his. Once again mgr.gets upset and says I'll place the order but it's going to be a long while. 22 minutes went by and my friend asked the mgr.about my plate. Now this is when the Mgr.blew up raising his voice saying that there were many orders ahead of my plate. My niece then said to him calm down nobody mad. He then said yall calm down! We looked at each other and told him we are not yelling at you. He then mumbled something walking away. Bottom line was he canceled my plate. He told the lady waitress to let let us know that he canceled my plate. The kind lady waitress was very apologetic. We then told her we date blame her. She looked very sad. Shortly thereafter as we were at the register paying the waitress then informed us that the mgr.said that we can nolonger be served. We were very surprised to hear that. We have been very loyal respectful and high tippers. We couldn't understand why he made that decision but I told my male friend that I would go in and speak to the owner. The one thing is when yalls mgr.blew that he had alot of orders there were hardly any people. 2nd if and I hope you do have cameras in your establishment you should review them and see that there is no reason for us being told that we will no longer be served. Your mgr.is very rude and very unprofessional. He does not have any communication skills. You are very welcome to go by the other Rockys and ask if we have ever given any problems. My understanding is that every Rockys is not owened by same owner. We just feel that we were wrongfully accused of something that we didn't do. Mind you I will be glad to show you that I reside in kirby and I always go to Your Rockys or one of the others depending where we went out to. We always go back to Rockys because of their good food friendly staff and because it always feels like home. Hope the right thing is done. 07/03/2025.

The waitresses Are friendly and Talkative only when they know your going to tip them 6 or more dollars. If you Dont tip them that much they ignore you next time. They Dont conversate. (I got bills to pay) 5 bucks tip should be enough. (But its not) Then They overcharge on foods i never ordered. Or as your leaving they charge extra if you dont pay attention or they charge for an extra taco you never got. Rockys was my favorite restaurant now it isnt. I am recommending all my friends and family to avoid this restaurant. And will post on my Social media for my fans to avoid this place. The older waitress has such horrible attitude. The youngest waitress thin girl with glasses such a sweet girl and doesnt overcharge the the others do. 1 star this place now isnt on my to go list. And i will make sure half the people i know will avoid this place

Don't waste your time coming here. Go to one of the other locations. Food is alot better and alot cheaper. This maybe the original but it's the worst by far of the three. Plus the food is twice the price. NO THANKS!!!

The Restaurant is Original, but the food is Not. I use to work next door to Rocky's many years ago and I would eat breakfast and lunch there 4 times a week. Their Carne Quisada was the reason i went there alot. Their breakfast was also good. This time for the 1st time in over 20 years I decided to take my Mother in law there for breakfast ( Her 1st time there) I ordered the eggs, bacon, beans, potatoes, Pork chop. My MIL ordered the pancake plate. (eggs, bacon, potatoes, beans, pancakes. The Eggs and beans were great, the Bacon on both of our plates were RAW the meat on the bacon was still pink, No crisp in the bacon just Raw. The Pork chop was under cooked. The tortillas when folded they would break. The potatoes were processed from a bag, under cooked and all stuck together. There was 4 tables occupied while there. So the cook was not overwhelmed with alot of orders, so he or she could of spent a little more time cooking the food to at least for it to be edible. 2 plates a coffee and soda $25.00 plus add a tip. NEVER EVER will I spend my money at this place again. Very Disappointed to what this place has become.

Their service and attitude suck.. Constant eye rolling.. took over 1hr for food to go…They only had at least 6 customers.

So me and my husband went to eat there cuz Rolando's super tacos were closed so that was the last options we were there for bout 30min before our food was given to us then the waitress never came to check on us nor gave us a refill until we were ready to leave no wonder they got an 84 on the health inspection restrooms were nasty 🤢🤢🤢 they should just close that place. Salsa tasted like it was from a jar and chips are all left over from the bottom of the bag type I'm sorry never again.

Been a while since I been there and won’t go back. Ordered fajita tacos and that was not fajitas. More like ratas. I called and they swore that was “their” fajitas. It’s 1am so I told them I couldn’t make it back till the morning. She said “ok bring the tacos back and we will replace them”. Big Pass; I mean seriously; are they going to warm them up and give them to the next customer?! This place used to be good back in the day. I’ve heard they were no good anymore. I should have listened. Lesson learned. I should have cooked at home. I don’t trust what they are serving.

They locked the door on me and my family supposedly because they are busy. Poor management. Poor service and over priced. Never coming to this place again.

Ordered food to go. My whole order was wrong. Ordered chicken got beef. Missing tacos and fries. Live in Von Ormy and they wanted me to go back at 2am. I took pics of food wrong and they still wouldn't make it good. Used to be a great place to eat. Now not so much. Definitely not chicken. Went back to get my order fixed. Was asked not to return because of my Google review. I can just say that a lot has changed other the years including the service.

Tacos were so dry oh my goodness this is so despicable ! Only thing that was good were my freakin beans… oh ln top of that my drink was watered down and the cookie i ordered just taste like i chewed on sand paper smh oh no no no 2/10 do NOT recommend

Apparently, if one asked for cheese enchiladas, yo have to specify, no gravy? I asked for cheese enchiladas, yet there is meat! In the gravy. So when I called, and asked? Yami! Said! "You have to let them know you don't want gravy! But, I asked ,to begin with just cheese, Now,I'm at wk and they want me to bring it back!

Would give zero stars if I could.. tall lady with glasses ALWAYS rude.. won't ever come back .. ordered my dinner and was told wait till I count my money in a very disrespectful manner, knowing that I was standing there for ten minutes. Told her I didn't like her attitude and she told me if I didn't like it go ahead and leave.. they definitely won't get any of my money

Customers BE AWARE 🚨 This establishment is charging customers a surcharge for using your credit or debit card. If you don’t want to pay extra for nasty cooked tacos go elsewhere. There are other reputable taco shops in the area that don’t take from you because of where you keep your money at.
