That short rib was made with love and affection. I go to bed every night dreaming about how Lucious and beautiful that short rib tasted. If there’s any restaurant in the world that deserves a Michelin star, it’d be signature.

Can’t say enough about Signature. Everyone on their staff was operating at peak excellence, and they were so helpful with celebrating my husband and I’s honeymoon. The food was unreal and the entire dining experience was luxuriously relaxing.

Birthday dinner with my family was wonderful. Albanny was our server, and we will request her when we come back. We all did the chefs choice course meal and everything was amazing. Big, bold, vibrant flavors! We were impressed start to finish!

Food is very good here. Not many vegetarian choices but the few that are there are excellent. Gnocchi had that warm and savory sweet taste. The desaerts were delicious and the drinks menu quite elaborate. Place is expensive Taking 1 star from atmosphere for the indoor was kept uncomfortably cool

This has become a favorite spot. We drive across town to come here about once a month. I absolutely love staring out the windows seeing the birds, butterflies, and occasional lizard while I'm drinking my French press with vanilla infused sugar. My husband enjoys the pork benny and I enjoy the quiche. I do wish there was a meatless quiche available as well. The atmosphere is beautiful to admire as well. I am a big fan of early 1900s vibe. Very Biltmore estate up in here.🤌

The food is so good. Beautiful ambiance and decor. Exceptional service, paid attention to detail and everyone was very attentive. They offered a lot of free tastings throughout our dinner. We would definitely go back when we are back in the San Antonio area. Had the spiced quail appetizer, duck breast entree, husband had the antelope loin and we shared the vanilla custard dessert. Virgin mojito was so good and not too sweet.

I’ve only ever been for brunch, but it’s the best brunch I’ve ever had. They greet you with a water infusion platter with your choice of multiple types of citrus, mint, cucumber, or any combination. Splenda comes in a cute separate bowl rather than in packets for elevating their tasty lattes. But it’s the foie gras pain perdu which is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. They don’t skimp on the foie gras either-it’s more than some entirely foie gras dishes. Worth every penny and then some. The staff is wonderful, the atmosphere beautiful, and the food - sooooo good.

This place is superb. Dinner here is an event. They really care for the experience and that is what it is, an experience. The food, the ambiance, the drinks, the waitstaff. Everything was delicious, but there was one dish in the appetizer section that made my night.... the fried oysters with caviar. One of my favorite dishes is fried oysters. I have had them near the beach, in upscale places, in moderate places, etc. This was by far, my favorite. I have peaked and I dont think I want to order them anywhere else. Congratulations, you have ruined me. ;) I have seen google reviews of this place and for the most part, the reviews are like mine. They have a 4.8 average which is pretty high. For those that didnt give the full 5 stars have problems. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone and I will be coming back.

We enjoyed such a fabulous dinner at Signature Restaurant to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary! We had a cute little table by the window. Everything was so lovely and absolutely delicious! Our favorite dish was the Chilean Sea Bass. But we were taken by suprise with the C h o c o l a t e A n a r c h y dessert. With triple chocolate, hazelnut, blood orange sorbet, it was the dill that made this dessert outstandingly brilliant! Staff spoiled us. We can't wait to go back with family and friends!

This place was excellent as others have mentioned but I wasn't expecting it to be our new go to place. As soon as we left me and my wife looked at each other and said oh yes we'll be back. It was our anniversary and almost a soon as we sat down we were given two glasses of champagne. I normally don't like champagne but this was delicious. I was informed it was actually Prosecco. We decided to order the non alcoholic drinks and my wife got the Tamarind Fizz and I got the It's About Fig and Thyme. Both were delicious though I preferred mine. The appetizers we got were the pork belly and risotto. Both were excellent but maybe a bit overpriced for what they were. For our entrees I got the Antelope of course and my wife got the Filet Mignon. This was definitely the highlight. Yum, yum, yum. The antelope was very mild not gamey at all. It came rare and I tell you I don't think I could ever go back. I'm going to be ordering my steaks rare from now on! The pommes anna were a bit burnt on the edges not sure if that was intentional but it kind of took away from the meal in my opinion. The filet was also excellent. Very juicy and tasty. The creamed leaks and spinach were the highlight of this dish. Would never have guessed that. For dessert I had the Lisbon cake and my wife had the Banana cake. Omg. The Lisbon cake will be my go to from here on out that is all. All throughout the dinner we were brought some things to sample, like a bell pepper soup, bread rolls, and sorbet. All were great but I wish I could get a full size order of the soup for example. It was delicious! All in all it was a great experience and can't wait to go back.

The brunch was excellent! I had the steak and eggs and a pastry platter. The staff goes above and beyond to make the experience easy and relaxing and the fresh squeezed orange is a must! The manager name is Patrick very sensor, and full of life! Highly recommended!

The Signature was incredible. From the quaint setting, actual live wood fire that gives the perfect aroma - not being overcrowded, it was all right on point. Our server was Johny, he was fantastic all the way around. Casual approach, never rushed, knew the food menu very well and recommended a bottle of wine that turned out to be amazing. The kitchen and the food were superb. Little chef delights in between courses, every appetizer and main course had so much unique flavor and an amazing adventure for your taste buds. Overall, it was one of the best dinner experiences that my wife and I ever had. 10 stars all the way around!

You are in great hands. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and taken care of. Our party was a total of 8 people and they made sure to seat us at a beautiful table to give each one of us enough room to be comfortable. The food was spectacular. I ordered the steak & eggs — and wow. Steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I also tried the pancakes that a girlfriend ordered, that they were light and delicious. Make sure you get RSVP as this place gets soooo packed and for good reason! We were staying at La Cantara and our room was close to the restaurant and we were able to lock in a rsvp for a busy Friday. I told the staff that my two sons were taking me on a date there (ages 12 and 9). They were so accommodating to us. My kids and I do go to many date nights at finer restaurants often so we have a reasonable level of expectation and the staff here definitely hit them all and then some! We had the asparagus salad, chilean seabass, steak and (forgot the name of dessert) but it was a sample of Molten cake, funnel cake etc. pics attached… I loved the water boosters we can pick to add to our plain water. It just makes it so much tastier w some cucumbers and lemon slices! Or whatever you decide to get! During our dinner, we were given a lot of “extras” to try like the tuna tar tar, bread and house butter, sherbet ice cream and some more desserts. I thought that was such a nice touch. Especially Bc the boys loved the extra sweets! They really knew how to bring a smile to us! They saw my 9 year old struggling to cut steak and personally came and cut his steak for him. I really loved that Bc it shows how attentive the staff are and how they wanted me to enjoy my dinner and letting me relax! At some restaurants, we have felt like a nuisance since my boys are young. At others, like the Signature, they welcomed us and treated us like family. Never were we ever waiting for anything and the whole experience was just seamless. The host took plenty of pictures for us and we even went upstairs to walk around and take more pictures. It was raining that day so we didn’t get to see much of the outdoor space. Overall, worth the money and wait to get in. My Chilean seabass was like butter melting in my mouth and the kids really enjoyed their steaks! Everyone was professional and didn’t treat the kids as if they were kids, they chatted w them and really worked hard to give us that red carpet experience and I am forever grateful! My girlfriend and I joined 4 other friends for brunch at this beautiful restaurant nestled in the La Cantera area. Valet service was impeccable and courteous. Entering, we were greeted by the manager and hostesses. They were extremely polite and friendly. The interior of 'Signature' is a place even Martha Stewart would feel at home. Its is absolutely beautiful. The wait staff was literally the best I have ever experienced. I can tell the staff take their jobs very seriously. And now the food.. I am only discussing what I ordered, even though I did try a little of everything. The Quiche Lorraine with bacon & gruyere was literally the best quiche I have ever experienced. It even surpassed the homemade quiche my mother creates.. I just couldnt tell her. Just an incredible dining experience and I will never forget this place. Nicely done guys.

Eat everything on the menu! We were blown away by every course- the hamachi crudo, PEI mussels, the warm rolls with butter in onion ash, tongue in cheek, scallops, apple tartin- everything was amazing. The wait staff was friendly, service was spot on and well paced for a robust evening of dining. Loved the design and it was a 5 star establishment. We will be back for a 3rd time :)

My husband and I came here for a date night and it was perfect. This is definitely a place appropriate for a special occasion, but I like that it felt laid back as well, as rustic and homey was met with fine dining. The scenery is breathtaking. There is even a garden that you can walk through or dine in. The food was delicious and creative, and our server was genuinely kind and attentive. Highly recommend this gem of an experience.

The definition of class and service. From their tea service to the little stool they bring you to put your purse, every single detail of your dining is curated. Found a hidden gem! Going back again and again with friends and family. We were looking for something new and out of the ordinary when we came across Signature. We were intrigued by the menu and made a reservation. The restaurant has great see decor and ambiance and the perfect atmosphere for any occasion. Now on to the main event. OMG, everything we had was fantastic. Nothing was bad, it was all degrees of goodness. Highly recommend the octopus which was tender, flavorful and out of this world. The fromage blanc was an exquisite combination of flavors and the pumpkin/scallop soap was warm and hearty. Highly recommend trying a couple of desserts, nothing will disappoint and everything was decadent. Thanks to Joel and the rest of the staff for a fantastic dining experience. We will be back to one of our new San Antonio favorites.

Wonderful! Outstanding! Really just a work of art. The menu is so perfectly designed and the preparation perfect. Also I’m still a bit unsure if I agree with the chef about how moist the halibut should come out. We had so many wonderful dishes that I’m thinking next time I’ll let the chef decide what we should have that night. The pics are the scallops and halibut. The wine is reasonably priced. All in all this is one of the few places I’d rearrange my trip to San Antonio around so as not to miss.

The food was great and the portions were much larger than I expected. So large that we were unable to eat any dessert. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I was spending the evening with three of my best friends from work. We actually were wearing the yes girl yes t-shirts. The food was Immaculate! This is certainly the best restaurant in San Antonio that my wife and I have tried over the many years of our visiting this city from Houston. The menu changes seasonally so this review on the food may not be applicable in the future. My entree was the redfish with tomatillo sauce... superb! The fish was perfectly cooked and super fresh, and the salsa verde complimented it perfectly. The service and atmosphere were impeccable. Wow! This restaurant is not cheap, the quality and value are certainly there.

Fantastic ambient, service and food quality. Our hostess, Erica, was able to find us a table last minute and did everything to accommodate us, which was not easy as the restaurant was packed. Jennifer, our waitress, was extremely friendly and recommended amazing appetizers and entrees. If you are planning to find a place for fine dining and give Signature a chance, ask for Erica and Jennifer. You will love the experience.

We came here for a date night and it was amazing! Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and matching things to our personal taste, it was such an amazing eating experience. From start to finish, this was one of the best dining experiences I've had in my life. I wanted to take my wife someplace for her birthday, and this restaurant came highly recommended. Everyone with whom we interacted were friendly, courteous, and professional. And it seemed like every one of them knew it was my wife's birthday, which made her feel very special. From the valet parking attendant, to the hostess who seated us, to our servers, and even the sommelier (who was gracious enough to check my coat and take our picture at the end of the evening). Dining at a restaurant like this can often times feel intimidating, but somehow Signature created a truly warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home. The food was spectacular! We started with a fried quail and bone marrow tartare, and our mains were a rack of lamb and a blackened red fish. Each dish was incredibly flavorful, and they were very generous portions. We left completely stuffed. Oh, and for dessert, we had something with pine needle ice cream that was a delightful surprise. Finally, I want to talk about our server: Tayton. He was probably the person most responsible for making our experience as lovely as it was. He appeared to be genuinely excited that we were having dinner there, and that he was happy to be serving us that evening (it wasn't just words from a script). He provided food and wine suggestions, answered some pretty ridiculous questions (sorry about that haha), and even took some time to make polite conversation with us. We felt that he was really taking care of us! Can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant, its staff, its food, or Tayton. We will definitely be coming again!

July 4th weekend: This was our first visit to Signature for my birthday weekend at La Cantera Resort. We read many of the reviews and this was the most excited we have been in a while to try. Staying at the resort we were shuttled by golf cart to the restaurant which is adjacent to the property to a late 9:30PM dinner appointment. As soon as you enter the restaurant the hostess greets you with expectancy. A round table was beautifully prepared awaiting my family and I. As you walk through the restaurant in its dark and amber light environment, the mood completely shifts to a romantic mood. I highly recommend a date night here. For our first course we ordered the white sturgeon Russian caviar with all of the topping options which included poached quail eggs, sautéed finely diced sweet onion, chives, cremá, raw red finely diced onions and capers. Served with a lightly toasted sliced buttered bread. As you layer the toppings and the caviar on the bread, the presentation was quite pleasant, once you bite into it all of the flavors mixed well and the caviar popped in your mouth creating a delicious yet light experience. I do recommend the caviar and would have it again. I opted for Chef John’s Tasting menu, and began with the summer truffle risotto. This small and light dish was the perfect entry to the restaurants pairing menu, I thoroughly enjoy allowing the chef to select my menu. The risotto was buttery and Parmesan truffle together with the aioli paired well. The flavors burst in your mouth and before you know it the petite dish was completely consumed in about 4-5 spoonfuls. For the main course I had the prime beef tenderloin prepared medium rare. I’m a big steak and beef fan, and this was the most exciting part of the meal for myself. As I bit into the beef that was pre-sliced, it was warm and succulent and melted in my mouth. With every bite, the flavors of garlic and onion completely filled my palette. I would recommend this particular chef’s pairing. As they change their menu monthly, I’m not sure how often it is available or rotated. The for the final course we ordered the chocolate caramel with sea salt cake. I’m not big on sweets but we ordered it based on our waiter’s recommendation. As I tasted the cake, it was extremely light and fluffy, it was not rich at all, and not overly sweet, the sea salt balanced out the light caramel drizzle. Overall I had to give Signature a 5 star all around experience, specifically also our waiter was one of the most friendly and knowledgeable and attentive that we’ve had in a while for a fine dining experience. We were the last ones to leave the restaurant and the waiter himself escorted us by golf cart back to the resort. He didn’t have to do that, but he did and we greatly appreciated it. We definitely will be back to Signature and look forward to a new chef’s tasting menu.

Best Breakfast / Brunch in San Antonio by FAR. The food and its presentation A-mazing. One of the best Cesar salad I have had. The Foie Gras was seared on both sides perfectly even and across the entire meat face and some depth. Press coffee also a delight ! Enjoy you can have high expectations on this one 🏅 Dinner Sadly my Favorite Place has lost its edge for Dinner. It remains San Antonio #1 Breakfast/ Brunch However Dinner has changed; Poor Educated Servers- Error of Management. Menu is simplistic, Signature lost its iconic Chef and current is lacking or Management has also decided they are more educated to advise Chef and its demonstrated that their current function as a manager is lacking so you can expect the spill over to kitchen. The uneducated servers do not understand the finer points of serving in 3-Star or less. I have seen better service at Jim”s. The food as well as selection reduction it has seen management lack quality ingredients for margin. This review saddens me to Write - but the King 👑 has fallen and I promised to always be honest. I will try dining an evening meal again this summer and hope for Management Change, at this point I have never seen Arrogant managers, capable of self assessment, learning and changes. New must be found.

Lovely dinner. This was not just a meal but an experience! First of all, the decor and style was beautiful! We sat outside by the golf course. The service and the food were just outstanding. We ordered the oyster with caviar and the bone marrow for apps and then the veal, the lamb ragu, the beef tenderloin and the sea bass .They were all exceptional, can’t even say which one was a favorite because they all were. I will be returning and I highly recommend it .

Such a great dinner! katherine was such an incredible waitress. i have a serious gluten allergy and she was so helpful and helped so much making sure my food wasn’t cross contaminated with any gluten. best waitress i’ve ever had.

The food was fantastic. We had the Chef's Spring Menu dinner with the wine pairing and it was exquisite. The taste journey through the 8 courses was great and the presentation was beautiful. Our server, Jeff was excellent and took great care of us. My wife is gluten and dairy free, so they made a separate dessert for her that was gluten free. We celebrated my wife’s birthday with a wonderful tasting menu crafted to delight the senses. Each serving was better than the prior. Server Grace took extraordinary care of us. I left 2 gift bags with Grace to present during our meal as a surprise for my wife. Grace cleverly at our surprise brought one bag at the beginning of meal and the second at the end of. Me and my fiancé had the most amazing experience here for our special night. Tim our server went above and beyond to make us feel like royalty. The drinks were amazing and the food blew our minds. I recommend the Axil Venison and the octopus for appetizer. Definitely recommend for a nice night out or any special occasion. Our server Tim was incredible. All of his recommendations for our first time visiting were exceptional from the delicious cocktails, wine and whiskey options down to the entrées. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here not long ago and it was an absolute treat. Tayton's service was wonderful, we were treated wonderfully the entire visit. He was able to provide great recommendations and take care of any request we had. The menu and pictures of the food don't do them justice. The meal was wonderful, we enjoyed every bit of it, our only complaint is that it had to end. Definitely worth a visit, we can't wait to come back.

This was one of the best culinary experiences we have had in San Antonio by far. Everything was a true 5-star experience—from the seamless valet and coat check to the incredibly friendly staff. They even provided a purse stool, which is such a thoughtful touch! Our server, Katherine, was top-notch and made the entire night feel magical. We opted for the tasting menu, and every single course was sensational. It ended up being 7 or 8 courses, and they even sent me home with a piece of cake for my birthday. We (a group of 14) went for Sunday Brunch. The selection is limited, but it has enough variety that everyone can find something that they like. My dad got the Smoked Salmon omelet, Texas Pancakes, and a side of fruit. The pancakes were huge and looked beautiful & delicious. My nephew wished he had gotten the pancakes; he would like to go back, but we're only in San Antonio 2 more days, and they only have pancakes on Sunday. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The bartender did a wonderful job at creating drinks, the meals were filling, and the atmosphere was cheerful and welcoming.

I had an outstanding experience here that fully exceeded my expectations for a San Antonio restaurant. I figured it would be nice, but the experience I had was wonderful. There is a somewhat small dining room that looks into the open kitchen and also over the golf course of La cantera resort so the scenery is gorgeous to begin with. The service is incredible with knowledgeable waitstaff who can assist with choices about wine or from the menu. The entire experience is very curated like a fine dining restaurant and very farm to table as well. The pork belly appetizer was melt in your mouth delicious. Now it is pricey and could be difficult to get a reservation so I would say this is a place for special occasions. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Cannot stop raving about this restaurant since last month! It was more than the food, it was the entire dining experience and each member of the staff made it outstanding from the moment we entered. The hostess got us seated quickly, we were greeted by our server, Jennifer, who explained the menu and that we'd be placing our order all at once and they'd course it out. Jennifer was knowledgeable about the menu and was good at her job. She made pleasant conversation and got us taken care of. Herman came and assisted with the service. The quickness and efficiency was beautiful to experience. Every aspect of the meal was so detailed and well-designed. From the platter of water garnish choices to the little palate cleansers in between the courses. We were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary early on 8/10 due to our baby's due date being so close to the actual anniversary and Signature was the perfect place to celebrate. We felt so spoiled during this evening. Thank you Jennifer, Herman, and the entire team!

My wife and I celebrated our 11th anniversary at Signature recently on a quiet Thursday evening. I made the reservation for 8pm with OpenTable and the process was seamless, as usual. We arrived at about 740pm and we were warmly welcomed and encouraged to check out the drink selection at the bar while they finished getting out table ready. I had a "Signature Smash" and she had a "Lust for Life" - highly recommend both for a refreshing start to the evening! We were welcomed by our server for the evening who gave us an overview of the menu and her personal recommendations for drink pairings. We started with the Risotto and the Pork Belly for apps, both were fantastic and delicious. We were also offered a special amouse bouche from the kitchen to awaken the palette before our salad course. I had the summer beet salad and she had the ceasar - again both excellent and prepared with love. The entrees were stunning. I had the short rib with sweet potatoes, it was so melt in your mouth delicious - salty, garlicky, tender, prepared perfectly. I paired it with a "Great Scotch!" which was a delightfully warm addition to my entree. My wife had the scallops, not my cup of tea but she was over the moon with them and they were large and well prepared and plentiful. Dessert was wonderful, we had the "Chocolate Impossible" which the kitchen decorated for the occasion and was delicious and the perfect size for two to share. The chef also sent us a complimentary platter of bonbons and fruit gelees to wrap the night up....delicious and totally unnecessary since we were both stuffed by that point, but we gave it the ol college try. Overall, a delightful experience and a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable, all of the staff were warm, professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. I know we barely scratched the menu in terms of food and drink offerings, so we will have to visit again, maybe with a bigger group so we can all share and taste! Thank you Chef Carpenter for a wonderful anniversary dinner!

We booked a reservation here for my birthday and had an excellent experience. Ophelio was our waiter and he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave wonderful recommendations. We had the pork belly, venison, and prime beef tenderloin and everything was cooked to perfection. We got palate cleansers between each entree then followed up with a delicious dessert. The restaurant’s atmosphere was also cozy and rustic with chandeliers. We were seated overlooking the kitchen watching the chefs work their magic. I can’t wait to visit here again to try more things on the menu. We truly felt wine and dined!

We went here for my husband’s birthday, and we had a lot of fun. There are parking spots by the building, and they have a valet service. We reserved for Chef’s tasting menu, and when we sat down to our table, we asked to have wine pairings with it. The food was fantastic, and the wine pairings were so delicious! y husband and I went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Signature went above and beyond for us. It started while we were waiting to be seated and continued through the entire meal. Everyone that we had contact with was knowledgeable and friendly and made the whole experience worth it. As parents of a 6 year old, we do not get to do this kind of thing often and I was not at all disappointed. The food was fantastic. My husband had the wagyu steak and I had the short rib. The appetizers were just as good. I wish I could remember my server's name because he really was excellent. His suggestions were on point and he could answer every question we had. I can't say enough good things about Signature.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Signature and had an unforgettable experience! We chose the 6-course tasting menu, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The portions were much more generous than we expected, making it feel like more than just a tasting menu. Our server, Jose, was incredibly respectful, kind, and helpful throughout the evening. He truly made our experience special and was the sweetest! Plus, my husband was surprised with a complimentary dessert and a special birthday treat, which was such a thoughtful touch. I have to say, Signature served the best food I’ve ever had in my life! The atmosphere and decor were stunning, creating a perfect ambiance for our celebration. I really hope we get to visit again before we move away from Texas, and next time, I’d love to sit closer to the kitchen to watch the magic happen! Wow! Where do I start? I came here to celebrate my birthday with very high hopes. I’ve been wanting to try Signature for a while. Our waitress Grace, was one of the best, most attentive, nice, personable waitresses I’ve ever come across. She was so informative and helpful with the menu and our wine selections- the wine list is top notch, we enjoyed every glass we tried. The Chef out did himself with the food, everything from start to finish was delicious. My scallops were like butter, amazing texture.. and the flavor of that coconut curry is to die for. I can’t wait to come back here again, I had a lovely evening.

Wonderful. Delicious food and beautiful atmosphere. Had no reservations and got there around 9:15 and the host and manager were super nice about it. Our server was also very friendly and knowledgeable, same with the young man that delivers and explained the food to the table. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate your birthday or to make it special, here it is.

Top points for great design and architecture. The staff was outstanding. Jennifer, our waitress, was patient and knowledgeable and just provided great service. In fact, everyone provided great service. The noise level made conversation difficult. The restaurant was not crowded, but just loud. Perhaps some noise absorbing items could be added to the decor? The cucumber salad and the carrot appetizer were both outstanding. The thinly sliced potatoes were also wonderful. My son ordered beef. I ordered venison. They were both just ok. Not amazing. Not worth the cost. My wife had a curry, which she loved. I probably wouldn't go back

Wonderful service, great flavors, but unfortunately I had a bad experience with my filet mignon, and since it take to long to bring it to me I couldn't be able to ask for a new one. Also they are missing some spirits. Beside that is a good option if you are around

We really enjoyed this nice hidden treasure resturant in San Antonio. We made a reservation for brunch on sunday. The staff was very professional and friendly. The resturant was a clean and cozy design. They even brought a stool for my purse. 🥰 We had mimosas, apple cinnamon and classic orange. Very nice! The scrambled eggs were exceptional! Some may thing eggs are easy to cook but trust me, not all eggs are created equal. 😊 The bacon was delicious and mouth watering. French toast was made expectionally well with fresh baguets! 👌 The food was very good and we will come back to Signature. Thank you! 🌷

I got Pork belly and egg benedict and it was amazing but the service needed a lot of improvement. Maybe I am the only Asian in the restaurant so their attitude made me feeling unrespectful. I will come back because of the food when I travel to San Antonio. They may have 5 stars but the service minus 1.

Overall, the experience was ok. The highlight was the service, perfectly on point. The food presentation was also nice. Two nice things stood out on the food side: the axis venison, and the cocktail. Both very good. On the other hand, the foie gras, the scallops, and the salad were meh. The salad even had portions that were a little spoiled. The scallops were boring and flavorless, please add some butter and garlic at least. Certainly not matching the bar set by the price. I’ve rounded my actual score of 3.5 up to 4, but really it’s a 3.5. For the price, you’re better off going to the capital grille, eddy v’s, or even the roaring fork in Austin.

I have been wanting to go here for awhile and surprisingly even on a Wednesday evening they are really busy. Once you order service is very attentive. Coming here is an experience; not just you order your food, eat, and leave, you take courses, and you enjoy the ambiance. Definitely not an everyday experience but one worth experiencing. The food and beverages are right on point. The bar gives you just what you want and the food keeps coming with small bites to you in between your meals. I really loved that.

Signature has been my go-to restaurant for special occasions or when I'm looking for an exceptional meal. My wife and I have eaten here five or six times since they opened and we have, to this point, always been very happy. A meal for two people can easily exceed $300, so I understandably expect a lot out of my experience and meal. I found our most recent experience disappointing. We brought friends and had set the expectations high. Signature is always busy and require reservations. We went on a Friday and our party of four was seated promptly! ; we gave our drink order. Drinks came out and we ordered beet salad and pork belly as appetizers, both excellent. After the waitress brought a delicious onion-bisque amuse bouche. Things fell off after that. It took an hour or more before or mains arrived. We don't want to rush a meal like this, but this excessive When out meals did come out, my wife's red fish was overcooked and as a result tasted more "fishy" and less fresh than she would have liked. My lamb chops were cooked perfect medium rare, but came out completely cold like they had been set aside waiting for the rest of the table's mains. I understand a high end restaurant may not want you to season the food they prepared. As such, they may not leave salt and paper on the table; please let us decide! Our friends asked for salt and pepper to season their steak a bit more. After 10 minutes they had to ask a second time before getting it another 5 minutes later. Our previous visits were when Chef Weissman was still at Signature. I don't know if that's a factor or not, but in our latest visit the restaurant has fallen off a bit from my expectations. For the price I'm looking to give 5-stars across the board. I'm not sure I'll be back for $150+ per person.

Food was so so. Course timing was a bit awkward and did not feel like it flowed well. Our waiter was nice but for some reason was really pushing us against ordering the tongue & cheek main course - strange that a waiter would hesitate and tell us not to order a main entree? I did enjoy the pork belly and glass of Cabernet Franc

My husband and I visited Signature for the first time. We were there to check out Signature hour (which is their happy hour). We discovered that Signature hour only applies at the bar or at the patio. My husband tried the garlic shrimp and chip 'n' dip (ahi tuna, avocado and eel sauce). He enjoyed the food but didn't find them filling. I tried the Signature petite burger which is not small. It came with fried egg, bacon and sweet jam/jelly spread and cooked perfectly. We also tried a few of their unique drinks. Lesson learned: I had made reservations through Open Table, thinking we needed it for Signature hour. Upon arrival, I let the hostess know we were slightly early for our reservations and that we're there to check out Signature hour. We weren't advised to go ahead to the bar or patio for Signature hour but was asked to wait for our table in the dining area. I asked if we could enjoy Signature hour in the dining area, the hostess proceeded to seat us and asked us to ask the server about that question. After all that, the server advised us that Signature hour only applies in the bar and patio areas. Honestly expected better communication and advice from the hostess and avoided shuffling back and forth the dining area and the bar. Hopefully it's a one-off issue and not a persistent problem.

Very nice ambience and service, but just wanted to warn people that our clothes and hair smelt like a bonfire after our dinner. The restaurant had a very potent smoky smell, so if that bothers you then I suggest skipping.

Food was underwhelming, not balanced and overpriced. The batter was too thick on the Fried gulf oyster. The corn has a nice acidity to it, but wouldn’t call that “creamed corn”. The squash blossom dish has way too much goat cheese that overpowered everything, very off balance in flavors. The short ribs were too sweet, and combined with mushy sweet potato didn’t work. The smoked blue cheese sprinkled on top didn’t seem to have any connection to the rest of the dish. Vegetables and seasoning in venison dish were bland. Service was nice but felt a bit intrusive at times.

Their tag line should be our food is overly salted and undercooked. The food on the menu was uninspiring and left a lot to be desired. I was expecting to be blown away, but left underwhelmed and my wallet $300 lighter. The rabbit vol au vent was extremely salty and fell flat on its face. The risotto as many others said was excellent, but the carrots were charred yet still hard and under seasoned. Now the main course was scallops... The scallops were so salted that you could still see the salt crystals on top and the scallops were over cooked to the point of charred on top and stiff. This was accompanied by an endive that seemed to have been thrown into the fire and dressed with olive oil to make it shine and look more presentable, Kindof like your drunk Uncle who staggers into your grandmother's birthday party hammered, you know it shouldn't have been there. They also placed an overly dry and under seasoned piece of pork belly on the plate and again it should not have been there. I wouldn't waste my time on a menu that is behind in season and a chef who doesn't seem to care

We have been to this restaurant every time we visit San Antonio. Always had a great experience. Unfortunately this time it wasn’t up to par. Food was great, our waiter was very smug, made remarks about me not being able to eat garlic. The rest of our dinner experience with her was like the cold shoulder. As always, I left a very good tip anyway. I waited about 4 weeks to write this because I wanted to think about what I would say. I normally don’t give bad reviews. Maybe an off night for her, but we probably won’t be returning after this.

The signature is a disaster. They thought they had the authority- but for the fact (truth) they don't. They leave my daughter hungry as a hotel guest. Too bad we had food @pool and being elegant with the right manner & 46% gratuity- (my daughter's decision). This is one of the few times that I decided not to be Karen as my daughter insisted. Last time not being Karen was @Four Seasons. Do not come to this hotel if you are under Biden/Harris 400K The restaurant manager even called the on-site security to escort us. (You need to update your social media. If you are unsure who really runs the world) I will file the credit card dispute(s) with this hotel by all means. I have very limited human credit to spend on unearthly things. Update I Even after I went to the front to (Biden's address) my frustration with the restaurant Signature. The front (the mid size middle age girl like me used her tone and called the on-site security again- No politics. Even if mentioned the red state with a victory of justice and truth. (Not welcome) Since they starve my daughter- I was no politic(s) but truth- do not come to this hotel. | Update II La Cantera Resort & Spa is A Cockroach Hotel. And I got Food Poisoned Symptoms- vomiting, diarrhea, and chill fever in the last 24 hours. With one of their restaurant Signature's mussels. (After the long wait of starving) God blessed my 10 yr old she has not been poisoned. I also report the Hotel's Cockroach Disease and Disaster Complaint(s) to Texas Public Health Department. La Cantera Resort & Spa should never exist on earth. |

I have been wanting to go to Signature for a long time. Unfortunately was really disappointed by the meal. Had a hair in my starter dish of tuna. My husband ordered the filet Mignon and mash potatoes which were luke warm and the steak had no flavor. Positives: the building is beautiful, our waitress Lisa was pleasant, and we were treated to two complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. Other than that cannot recommend Signature restaurant when there are so many better options in San Antonio.
