Come on down to their new location. Great atmosphere, awesome Food, and excellent service! But I really enjoyed the live music. Omgosh it brought back memories. Tue thru Fri discount appetizers and they are so delicious 😋
This was my first lunch visit to the Purple Garlic on Blanco Rd. A friend and I tried their paninis which came with a salad or fries. We both had salads. Our sandwiches were on freshly made bread with tasty fillings. We were both quite impressed with the food and excellent service. I usually go to the Purple Garlic on San Pedro for dinner which also has excellent food, service and atmosphere. Our meals today were excellent value and I highly recommend you try this restaurant or other locations.
Welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. First time at purple Garlic Italian Cafe, staff took time and gave a run thru of popular foods and suggestions. The food and appetizers were tasty. Enjoyed a bottle of wine at a reasonable price without sacrificing taste.
Had a very nice time here! The servers were super kind, and the food was delicious with a great price! I went during happy hour within the week in which they have deals on appetizers and drinks. Karsen was kind, funny, and very attentive with great recommendations! We got the Spinach Artichoke Dip, and the toasted bread it came with was so perfectly toasted and fresh as well as the bread that came with our orders. It was toasty on the outside and fluffy as heck on the inside; I loved it! I got the Chicken Marsala, and my husband got the Alfredo Fettuccine with Chicken. Both were delectable! 🤤Thanks so much, Karsen! 😊❤️
The temporary special creamy balsamic chicken was absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere feels cozy with a classy touch. My classic go to however is spaghetti with homemade meatballs.
Rene, provided great customer service and overall made the experience that much better 😃 The creamy pesto pasta & chicken alfredo were delicious 😋 👌 If you want a good Italian dish, give this spot a try!
Outstanding service and atmosphere. Really liked the Dean Martin Panini and the generous refills of our unsweet iced tea. The pepper grinder and salt grinder at the table we're also a nice touch because we were able to get fresh pepper and salt to taste. The fried mozzarella was also outstanding because it had a very light coat and was mostly mozzarella of the highest quality cheese. The house salad was also delightful and just enough to prepare us for the main course. The restaurant is in the corner of a strip mall and parking is difficult to find.
This was our 1st time here and it was phenomenal. We had the pleasure of having Joey guide us through the menu and his suggestions did not disappoint! Will definitely be back again.

The food here is absolutely 💯 amazing! The waitress was the friendliest person we have ever met. Ask for the CARROT CAKE and thank me later!!!!
I came here for the first time with my partner for our anniversary and it was perfect! We got the spinach artichoke dip with the croutinis as an appetizer and that was really tasty. I ordered the chicken formaggio and it was divine. Literally my new favorite pasta. Super creamy and pasta cooked to perfection. My partner got the creamy chicken pesto and it was really good too. The ambiance was lovely, with cute plants all around and warm lighting. Our server was an older man and he was very friendly and attentive, refilling our drinks before they were empty. We'd definitely come back again.
Such a quaint little mom and pop place! The atmosphere is elegant in a simple way, and the staff is extremely courteous, attentive, and pleasant. Even the chef is known to visit the tables to make sure you are pleased. On Thursday night, they have live jazz that's soft, and they take requests. The prices are very fair, portions are generous and delicious. Is it a Michelin Star contender? Well, no, but we can't afford that anyway. We love going there for a quiet date night near the house and are never disappointed. Generally, no wait. I recommend the tenderloin salad and bruschetta. My husband loves any of the pasta dishes. I can't wait to try more items. They also have a happy hour, which makes drinkies and apps even better! Go today! 😊
This is quickly become my go to when I'm feeling Italian food. The parmesan crusted chicken is so delicious and not only is the food consistently great but the service is always top tier. We had Halle taking care of us and she was on top of refills from beginning to end and very attentive. Love this place and can't recommend it enough.
My husband and I love this location! Food was excellent, we ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo. Food came out quickly, hot, and delicious. Our server Gary was so friendly and attentive, we’ll be asking for him again next time!
Great food, very fresh & flavorful! Staff was very attentive. Smaller menu for pasta options, had a large selection of very reasonably price italian sandwiches & pizza. Would definitely come back again!
Great small neighborhood restaurant find. Food is good, staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, and prices are reasonable. Since they do not take reservations it is hard to plan a meal out with friends, but as a last minute family decision to eat out, it is perfect due to the proximity to our neighborhood.

Food is usually pretty good, but not always consistent. Had a steak salad that says on the menu the steak is cooked medium rare, but it was well done. It wasnt bad, but would have been great if cooked correctly. I've had the Lasagne and the eggplant paremesan bwdire ans both are very good. Serving sizes aren't as large as most places with Italian food, but plenty for most people.

Food was okay. Fettuccine Alfredo was good, but the added shrimp were terrible ... Undercooked and chewy. Couldn't eat them. The place is crowded and noisy. No atmos.
Everything was great as far as service and the looks of the restaurant, although the jazz music being played in an Italian restaurant is not a great vibe. Tables are too close and couldn’t really talk because the people near us were so loud it was like we were sitting at their table with them. We were not happy with the food as it was our first time. The chicken was very tough and hard to cut. The plates lacked seasoning on the dishes we ordered. Priced too high and salads aren’t even included. We have been to other Italian restaurants where you can get a salad, bread and entree for the price of a the plate and it’s more flavorful. Very disappointed. Food didn’t settle well. Unfortunately not one to say would be a favorite to go back to.

Yikes! Food poisoning from their sautéed spinach salad. I came in for lunch for the first time and got bread, butter, lasagna and the spinach salad (which is served hot). Within 4 hours my stomach was cramping. And within 6 hours I was on the toilet for every 5 minutes. And all day the next day. Had to miss work. Doctor said it was in fact food poisoning. I called the following day to report it and was told that the manager Would call me back. (I’m trained in food handling. And it is supposed to be reported. And the contaminated food is supposed to be disposed of immediately.) I followed up the next day since I never got a call and surprisingly was speaking directly to the owner. He told me that it couldn’t have been his food since he personally cuts the spinach. And that food poisoning takes 24 hours and that it was likely whenever I had the day prior. What he doesn’t realize is that I fast often and hadn’t had food. His meal was the only meal I had. And my doctor said that food poisoning takes 4 to 6 hours. When I clarified this with the owner, he said that’s not a “peeing contest.” And that he’s not going to argue with me about the number of hours Food poisoning takes to go through your system. I told him since he was being dismissive of my feedback, and since I am trained in food safety, I know I was supposed to immediately report it so that way they can throw away any contaminated food. He didn’t seem interested in any of this information. Mind you I started this conversation with I’m not trying to seek any compensation. I just wanna make sure you’re aware. But his pride is way bigger than actually caring about a new customer’s experience. My first order was over $100. (The Doctor visit $89.) For two people. Their loss honestly. I can tell the food is likely made with care. And the recipes are good. But if this is how they handle food poisoning complaints. That likely means he’s just as dismissive on food safety guidelines as well. I’m shocked about the way he chose to respond today. His wait staff is exceptional. And it’s sad he is as close minded as he was on this call. I feel sorry for anyone who has feedback or comments that don’t align exactly with that he believes. Textbook pride and narcissism. He’s the type of person who was never told no. Or you’re wrong. What he doesn’t realize is contamination could have been completely out of his control. And not his fault at all. But responding this way is not how you run a business. He needs to read the book “How to win friends and influence people.” Additional note: portions for dine in seem to be bigger than to go. I ordered 4 lasagnas to go. And it was a much smaller portion that what’s in the photo here. I was disappointed. Good luck to this little restaurant with that type of leadership.

Beware if you go after 7:00 they are out of everything, full of excuses. I wanted lasagna had to settle for spaghetti & meatballs and it was cold! No bread with my meal, had to wait because they were out had to warm it up. Asked the Manager to put the tv on the basketball team since it’s a bar atmosphere, she said they only have the cooking show because they use to pay for tv and people demanded the cooking show!! lol!! Waitstaff is super slow! They love hanging in the kitchen. Manager is full of excuses too! First time, last time! If I was the owner of this chain, I would definitely make myself visible with this group of workers starting with the manager.
