I want to start off with the beautiful hostess’s, they’re excellent and have amazing energy. Then moving on into the main dining room, the servers are very knowledgeable and on top of everything. Never had impecable service like this before. The food is amazing, I would eat here every night if I could. The mangers were super welcoming and informing. Must try ! Think fur coats, sparkly dresses, red-bottom heels, and a bold red lip—everything glamorous! You are going to feel like a Queen! BLÜ Prime made our 3rd anniversary unforgettable! From the intimate booth with rose petals to the surprise layered cake with fresh fruit, every detail was perfect. The food was incredible—lamb lollipops, a 16oz ribeye (shared for us in the back), creamy lobster mac and cheese, and flavorful Brussels sprouts. Ethan, our waiter, deserves special praise for elevating our experience. He was not only knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in making the evening memorable. He suggested two red wines to pair with our meal, and after sampling both, I went with his top pick—the Belle Glos. It was phenomenal, so much so that I ordered a bottle to take home! My partner had the Black Panther cocktail, which was complex, smooth, and equally impressive. We ended our night with two Carajillos, which were a whole experience on their own. Hands down, they were the tastiest we’ve ever had and paired perfectly with the anniversary cake. The attention to detail at BLÜ Prime is unmatched. My husband and I just went to Blu to celebrate our 4 year wedding anniversary! We were blown away by the level of service, atmosphere and the food! We have eaten at many different steakhouse around San Antonio and Blu is now at the top of our list! Our food was fantastic! John our waiter went above and beyond to make our night special! Get comfortable for a complete and detailed post. blue without the E you know it is very striking, very chic & modern almost European. The best advertisement- the blue tower that lites lit up the sky, very subtle. They offer valet parking & garage. Beautiful entrance very regal European. Soaring racks of wine bottles & a cooler of wet aged steaks greet you! Several number hostesses, all wearing earpieces and dress very smartly. We were seated in the best table, booth along back with great views. Booths flank the perimeter of various sizes. In the front is bar & happy hour & bar seating is flanked with half wall & beautiful light posts. The bar is very European looking. The library ladders very high end & focal point of the bar was that of a woman with a crown. Rich colors of blue, black & gold. wow!! Ceiling. Of course, fine linen tablecloths & napkins. The vibe is European, but at the same time, very modern hip and New York-ish. You definitely go to Blu to be seen!!! Happy hour from 3 to 6 PM daily & they closed on Sundays. The back left side is the red wine cellar. This room is huge with tastings held here on the chilled gorgeous blu marble. with complete glass doors. They also have Wine locker membership. There is a 2nd wine cellar for whites. We were greeted by our section captain. Our server was Jesse completely amazing I knew right from the onset that he enjoyed his job and that he was very thorough and he knew each item on the menu by taste with very detailed information. Jesse also had a very good grasp on their very extensive wine list. It was a six page book, he recommended certain wines for the food that we wish to order. The place was really hopping. They had a flurry of Christmas parties, which didn’t feel like they were impeding on our experience, but yet there was a lot of chatter in the room so you knew it was a busy place. I started with the Crudo from the cold appetizers. It was very light and very flavorful. We also ordered the lamb lollipops from the hot appetizer menu and oh my goodness this is their stand out item. The sauce was with chilies had a jelly ketchup look to it, sweet, but still quite spicy. The Australian lollipop lamb was not gamy, very soft, cooked perfectly with an edge of fat. This was truly a meal in itself. We also ordered the blue wedge salad. This was amazing with the thick candied, bacon, the blue cheese chunks, as well as drizzled blue cheese throughout the wedge. The lobster bisque soup was one of my favorites. It’s a red bisque, but you can see the many chunks of very large lobster in it, and it is topped with an Italian parsley, which really gave it that freshness. The dinnerware they use is all handmade. You can tell black with that handmade pottery look and shapes. We ordered a bottle of Chianti - the Querciabella. It was perfect. I really love the attention to the detail. They gave us with the bread service and the wine. They always ask if they can decant it for you before you start drinking. Of course there was the presentation of the wet cork and he had me try it first. Choosing the entrée was so difficult I went with Jesse’s recommendation of the pork chop, and I am so glad I did. We also ordered the dry aged ribeye. They are known for wet aged/dry aged cuts of meat. Large portions! The pork chops sat on a roasted puréed bed of applesauce with paralyzed onions the pork chop coming from New Zealand has a sweetness to it and there is a glaze over the pork chop that makes it just the slight bit chard. The ribeye had a crunchy crustiness over the outside cooked medium,rate. The side of fingerlings & pork end in sauce was perfectly flavored. We finished with a cup of coffee and took our chocolate ganache torte cheesecake home with us! Again, the service was amazing with several folks stopping by we felt like we were all friends by the end. We never felt rushed, and it was just such a beautiful setting that we just enjoyed our dining experience. Blu Prime Steakhouse turned my husband's 60th birthday into a five-star flavor parade with a standing ovation! This place is a total vibe!! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs. Michelle is the consummate professional. We both appreciated her honesty, wit, and food recommendations. The filet mignon was so tender it practically wrote us a thank-you note for choosing it, and the Chilean sea bass was tender and flaked like it had stage fright in the spotlight. The lobster mac? OMG! I could have had a plate of just that. It was silky, decadent, and worth every dreamy, buttery calorie. It’s definitely worth the hours I will have to spend in a Zumba class trying to work it off. Oh and don’t sleep on that crab cake—it was the perfect opening act to a culinary concert that deserved an encore. John, the sommelier-slash-flavor-whisperer, suggested a Riesling for me that paired well with my meal. It was divine! John and Michelle definitely made our experience spectacular. We had fun, enjoyed the food and conversation, and left blissfully full, slightly tipsy, and totally vowing to return and not necessarily for a milestone birthday. Side note - The food was so good that we totally forgot to take pics of it.

Today was an 10/10 experience! It was my first time at Blu and I had the most amazing waitress, Jesica. She was so enthusiastic and engaging. I had several questions about the menu and she pointed me in the right direction. I highly recommend requesting to be seated with her no matter if it’s your first time or fifth. I first want to give a huge shout out to our server Matthew last night he was amazing. It was our first time here and probably one of the best fillets and crab cakes I’ve had. I did not care for the Caesar salad or the grilled vegetables, but everything else was amazing. Loaded potato was delicious and the chimichurri sauce was phenomenal. I was told they have a new chef for about three months now and he’s doing his big one back there.

Mathew was the best sever ever! And the server sweet Bailey made an appearance and stopped and said hello! Had the best experience dining out honestly in probably forever! You will enjoy it! Best cappuccino martini and ganache cake for dessert!! And Nate the bartender made this unique drink that’s lit in video!! Hit em up fo sho!!!

If I could give more stars I would. This was absolutely the best food I’ve had in a long time. The atmosphere, service and all was above and beyond! Michelle was amazing to say the least. First, the table they gave us for my wife's birthday was probably the best seat in the house. It overlooks the whole restaurant against the back wall, so thank you! Our server, Lindsey, was very knowledgeable and attentive to our every need. She was fantastic!! We started with Bone Marrow and Tuna Poke. Never had Bone Marrow before, but it was incredible! The Tuna Poke with orange ponzu sauce was great, too. My wife had the Rib Papperdelle, and I had the 12 oz Filet. Both phenomenal dishes. The meat on both basically melts in your mouth, so great job to the chef!! Had broccolini and mac and cheese as sides, and those didn't disappoint either. Dinner finished off with a complimentary cake that was huge and also tasted very dang good! No complaints at all and loved every second. Definitely will be back! Thank you to all the staff who made my wife feel special on her birthday!

My wife and I went for the first time to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was inviting, but it was the food and service that truly stood out. The food was amazing but what topped it off was the professionalism of the host staff, "Diana"raises the bar. Blu Prime Steakhouse made us feel truly welcomed. We were greeted warmly by multiple staff members as we walked to our table, which set a great tone for the evening. My raspberry lemon drop martini was perfectly crafted, and my husband enjoyed a smoked old fashioned with a stunning tableside smoke. For appetizers, we shared the jumbo lump crab cake with cilantro lime purée and chili sauce—absolutely amazing—and my husband loved the lobster bisque with hearty chunks of lobster. We shared the 44 oz tomahawk steak, served on a board with delicious herb butter. It was huge—enough for 3-4 people—and cooked medium rare. While it was good, next time I would opt for their dry-aged ribeye or Wagyu. The lobster mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts as sides were flavorful and well-prepared. For dessert, I had the marble cake with whipped cream, and my husband enjoyed crème brûlée—both delicious and satisfying. Our server Eber was top-notch—friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The GM also made rounds to check on us, demonstrating the restaurant’s commitment to customer satisfaction. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and professional, making our visit all the more enjoyable.

From the ambiance to the food presentation Blu Prime was outstanding in helping us celebrate our son’s 15th birthday. Matthew and staff were beyond amazing. Everyone was lovely. 5star service at Blu!

For dinner tonight, we decided impromptu to visit @bluprimesteakhouse. The seating style reminded me of Dean’s Steak and Seafood. Low lights for some romantic ambiance but the music felt like more upbeat and loud. Bailey and Valeria were the duo that took care of us from start to finish, anticipating what we needed. The complimentary focaccia bread was yummy. Happy hour was ongoing and ended at 6:30pm. We enjoy some happy hour food and drinks. I had the Maya Spritz, which was mango-papaya infused aperol, soda, and rose. Hubby had the Rye and Regal, which was cinnamon apple infused bourbon, old overholt rye, citrus, honey, and amaro nonino. Dad had Lemonade. All of the drinks were very good. We started with the Crudo, Wagyu Carpaccio, Steak Tartare, and Ceviche and probably should have stopped there because it was so much food. We added the House Salad, Blu Burger, and the Truffle Pasta with Jumbo Prawns. The food was stellar but the service was impeccable. Just as we were finishing the bread, Bailey and Valeria were ready with more for us. We finished the yucca chips, they had more for the ceviche. We’ll definitely be back for happy hour but will know how to pace ourselves next time. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

To start with this was a very last minute dinner decision that ended up being a really good find. I had a little help from ChatGPT to get to find this restaurant and my experience should really be a 10/10. Starting with entering the restaurant the decor, the dining setup the bar, the waiting area it was honestly beautiful. The hostess was kind and took my birthday picture in front of the sign I loved her energy. Upon bringing me to my table because I mentioned it was my birthday the booth/table was so cutely decorated and it was that special touch that moved my heart. My server Benjamin was amazing! He truly went above and beyond for my first time being there and that it was my birthday. From recommendations of a new bourbon for my old fashioned to the chefs special and being very attentive to explaining the menu and what the dishes were I was blown away. He was attentive the entire night kept a smile on my face. Having the house manager check on tables and check on my dining experience shows this restaurant has a good idea on what customer service is. I truly have to give a big shout out as well to the rest of the wait staff, food runners and busser’s because even their customer service was top tier! And they all wished me a Happy Birthday which surprised me and made me happy too. My food was literally delicious. I would pack up that house made bread and literally never share with anyone. My appetizers were delicious loved the crab cake because it was stacked. My steak cooked to my liking and the sides were cooked well. It’s like the whole menu was curated to where you can’t go wrong. Even having Benjamin tell me about their Chef who is in charge had me impressed. My favorite part was that deep rich chocolate cake! Having the candle and the beautiful script of Happy Birthday truly ended off my night well. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a wonderful experience at a restaurant. From the way we were greeted and led to our table, to ending the night. The two gentlemen who were serving us David and Sean, David gave wonderful explanations (with the biggest smile) on every item I asked on the menu and Sean would come in right after matching each course with a wine PERFECTLY and giving us the background. Overall I will be coming here again. Great customer service!! Great food!! The pictures aren’t the best but all of it was delicious!

My husband and I received a gift card for Blu Prime decided to go to celebrate Valentine’s Day!! We have been to several very nice steak restaurants and I must say, this is now our new favorite. The atmosphere was great!! Everything we ordered was well prepared and tasted AMAZING!! The service was top notch!! The special touch that really stood out to me that I ordered a steak and my husband ordered the Sea Bass, but we wanted to share. When we mentioned sharing, our waiter asked if we would like to have them separated on separate dishes and they brought them out separated and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back. Excellent service from beginning to end. The only suggestion I have for Blu is to limit the number of calls made confirming reservations. My husband received 4 phone calls and an email to confirm our reservation and remind us of the dress code. Two of those calls on the day of our reservation. It was too much to the point that it almost made me not want to go. It was a turn off. I’m glad we didn’t allow that to change our mind because we would have missed out on great food and a really great experience overall.

Had such a great time. We went for happy hour and it was a great experience. Our server Caitlin was so awesome! A simple mistake was corrected by a personal explanation from the manager, which was not necessary but we still appreciated it and it came with shots on the house for our group. Everyone was so professional and exudes class, that’s something that’s hard to come by these days.

Food: We ordered the lobster bisque as an appetizer, then for mains 8oz filet with a baked potato (which was giant), and the agnolotti. The food was amazing plain and simple, do not sleep on the pasta!! Atmosphere: We had a two person booth that faced the entire dining area which was pretty neat, kind of like a sweetheart table at a wedding. It’s dark, and somewhat loud music that made it a little hard to hear conversation. Overall: It’s pricey but totally worth it for a special occasion, and for the food and service you get what you pay for!

From entering the restaurant, the blue ambiance and interior decor creates a modern and elegant feel. Jose was our waiter and he did an outstanding job of making sure we were taken care of. And lastly my wife’s seafood pasta was an absolute standout pillowy ravioli, perfectly roasted cherry tomatoes, fresh crab meat, and a velvety sauce that brought it all together beautifully. First time at Blu and we were not disappointed. The ambiance, service, and food were exceptional. Our server Michelle was spot on with every single recommendation (from appetizers, drinks and main course). The attentiveness of the entire staff was outstanding. We will definitely return and ask for Michelle when we come back because she made the experience and my birthday dinner the best. It’s nice when you can enjoy a meal and not be rushed to leave so they can turn the table over. Blu you totally understand what hospitality service is all about… thank you for a wonderful experience.

I chose this gem to celebrate my 42nd birthday, and from the very first moment, I knew I had made the right choice. The lighting was soft and theatrical, casting a golden hue across the table like the opening scene of a beautifully written play. Cocktails arrived like small celebrations—vivid, balanced, and artfully composed. The cuisine was nothing short of superb—each dish a symphony of flavor, elegantly plated, and served with impeccable timing. As the evening unfolded, a moment of true magic arrived: the chef personally presented a stunning cheesecake, adorned with flickering candles and fresh strawberries. It was as decadent as it was beautiful, and the table fell into delighted silence—followed quickly by unanimous pleas to take the entire cake home. First and foremost this was our first trip to San Antonio, we know nothing of the area or what is good or not. Thanks to Google reviews we chose this wonderful place for our girl trip bday dinner. From the moment we walked in, we felt the warmth and wonderful service this place delivered. Our wonderful server Blake went over the top to make sure we had the right wine, the best appetizer and made sure our dinners were served with love. We had the fillet, or should I say BUTTER…..you could cut that meat with a fork it was the best fillet I have ever had. We made sure to have Blake tell the chef that we were impressed and he came out to thank us. Chef Allen explained where the meat came from and how they make it daily. His love for his job shows in the food he prepares. Not only did they deliver wonderful service but they brought us a dessert sampler that blew our minds and our taste buds. John the wine sommelier was a wonderful ending to our meal as he brought us out a dessert wine from Hungry and it was just the right drink to help end our night. Leaving this place was like leaving a second home you don’t want to leave. Our weekend was wonderful here in San Antonio, but it was made even more spectacular with this wonderful restaurant. Blü Steakhouse delivered on many fronts. The atmosphere was beautiful and upscale, with live music that added just the right touch without being too loud. The lamb lollipops were easily the best lamb I’ve ever had. Portions across the menu were generous, the cake was delicious with huge slices, and the use of real truffles gave everything a luxurious feel. Our waiter, Jose, was fantastic. He was friendly, funny, and gave great recommendations. While he didn’t always bring the food to the table himself, he personally plated everything once it arrived and made sure we were taken care of the entire night. He definitely helped make the evening special. The one big disappointment was with the $75 flower option I selected during the online reservation. I added it to surprise my date, but the female hostess ruined the moment by asking, loudly and awkwardly as we were being seated, “Did you ask for flowers?” She then just set them on the corner of the table without any explanation or presentation. My date didn’t realize they were for her and assumed it was just part of the table decor. For how much it added to the bill, it felt careless and completely missed the point of the gesture. Also, skip the steak fries. The sauce and presentation were great, but the fries themselves were large, dry, and flavorless. Overall, Blü has a beautiful setting, incredible food, and amazing service from Jose. Just be cautious with extras like the flower add-on, which may not be handled with the thoughtfulness you’d expect.

Had the best Anniversary dinner at Blu Prime 💙 Everything was top tier, from the lollipop lamb chops to the drinks. Our server Dustin was AMAZING, anything that was not on the menu, he accommodated to make sure we got what we wanted 🩵 He made us “off the menu” cocktails that I will definitely be ordering again. Steak was perfect, the fig sauce was mind blowing. Their bread is addicting btw 🤭 Definitely a must try for date night or any special occasion 😊

This place is fantastic! One of the best fine dining restaurants I’ve ever experienced. Their dry aged steaks are aged in house for 45-55 days. Their pasta is made in house as well. The ingredients are extremely fresh and complement the dishes extremely well. John was our server and he did an amazing job and provided top tier service while making sure we understood the menu and what the restaurant is known for. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I went to Blu for our anniversary and all I can say is…WOW! Michelle was absolutely amazing! Every dish was phenomenal! Ended the night with a sweet surprise! It was such a special night and Michelle made us feel like royalty!

I had the pleasure of a dinner with longtime friends at Blü Prime and was so impressed that I wanted to write this review. Although the restaurant was pretty busy, our server Michelle was very attentive. Also, she was very professional and knowledgeable and just all around nice. The restaurant manager, Ashley, came to visit us as well and we felt valued as guests. The food was incredibly good (salmon steak and mashed potatoes). One minor critique is that we felt the salmon was on the small side. To top it off, we were fortunate to be there to hear the music of the very talented Elise Road! Her music and vibe fit the restaurant perfectly -- jazzy and classy. Overall, great time. Thanks to everyone at Blü!

This place had great tasting food. Very pricey though so be prepared. Also, verify. My wife is Vietnamese and her English is good but I feel like we were a bit suckered. She wanted a smaller steak because doesn't eat a lot. She got the fillet mignon and they just said it was 14oz so bigger. However on the bill it was listed as Wagu beef at $155.00 for the steak. That's a huge jump in price and I feel like they should have mentioned it. Oh well, lesson learned. Our bill for 2 people was nearly $300. Plus tip on top of that. So just be prepared. Not everyone is rich and I guess us lower income folk have to be more careful when we want a date night. However that was really my fault so I won't let that take away that the food and service was very good.

I saw mixed reviews online but decided to give this place a shot since my boyfriend and I love to splurge on each other’s birthdays—and I’m so glad we did! Our experience was absolutely phenomenal, a solid 10/10. Our server was amazing and very attentive, and there was live music that added to the ambiance without being too loud—we could still easily enjoy our conversation. The food was outstanding from start to finish, beginning with the complimentary bread, followed by the pork belly and oysters. We then shared the cowboy steak, which was cooked to perfection. We were truly taken care of from the moment we arrived until we left. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we will definitely be coming back. I highly recommend giving this place a try! you won’t be disappointed!

Made reservations for a Friday evening dinner. Arrived right on time and service was top notch from time we walked in, to the table, to the time we walked out the door. Was immediately seated and greeted by our server, John. John did an outstanding job explaining the menu, appetizers, wine pairings, special cuts, and desserts. Atmosphere was elegant, quiet, and intimate. Started off with Crab Cakes, Bread, and some Wine. For the meal, ordered the Kagoshima Strip Loin, DA Cowboy, Truffle Mac & Cheese, Brussel Sprouts, and finished off with some Cheese Cake. Their Wagyu Beef and Chef's Selections quality and quantity were well worth their price points. The sides went well with the mains. The Cheesecake was a great finisher to the meal. Food was great, but service even better. Will request John next time we're back. Amazing food and service.

My favorite place to celebrate! Never disappointed with the juicy steaks, rich lobster macaroni, and seriously the best desserts in town-I’ve tried (devoured) all of them… I always leave feeling happy and satisfied, looking forward to coming back. We had a phenomenal time tonight at Blu celebrating my husband’s birthday! The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy, we loved the music and seating was comfortable. The service was really outstanding from the moment we were seated, until we left the building. Matthew was knowledgeable, friendly, respectful, and had a great sense of humor. We’ve never enjoyed better service. Now the food - delicious! We started with the ceviche which was unlike any we’ve typically eaten and was fresh and flavorful. The bread was amazing. The cocktails were beautifully crafted. Salads were both wonderful but the blueberry salad REALLY stood out! It was packed with flavor. We enjoyed our filets, the mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and pasta dishes all cooked to perfection. We ended the night with a complimentary slice of cake and it was soooo dreamy. The perfect nightcap! We will definitely be back to try more things! Thank you Blu (especially Matthew) for making my husband’s birthday so enjoyable.

What a breath taking experience. The service, ambiance and food are all 5 stars. The bread they serve to start your meal is easily the best piece of bread I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating in my life. The mocktails are expertly crafted. The appetizers and salads here STEAL THE SHOW! Seriously- the tuna poke, pork belly, black truffle salad are 9.5/10 but the WEDGE is 10/10 absolutely perfect and the most beautiful presentation. The Wagyu ribeye was amazing with the Oscar, and loaded baked potato I could not stop eating. The Decadent Affair dark chocolate cake is the perfect end to an amazing meal. I can’t wait to return!

I want to give a huge thank you to Narrisa for helping me coordinate a private dining experience just for me and my fiancée, and for allowing our vendor to come decorate the space it made the night so special. We came here to have dinner for my boyfriend’s birthday. They gave excellent service, flavorful food, and had a nice ambience. The crab cake was top notch and I’m from Maryland. The table had birthday decor, and the cake was a good size and tasty. Benjamin was very helpful and knowledgeable with menu items/selection. This was a memorable service and I’ll be back. I wish they had a location closer to home. ETA: I wish the cake was a part of the dessert menu.

You walk into two huge doors and into a foyer that is quite bright not what you would imagine a steakhouse would be. The main dining room is a big hall and on the ceiling are lighted blue marble glass tiles. I would say that with some bigger partitions it would give the restaurant a different vibe. The bar is too bright but something that can be fixed due to the mirrors behind the bottles reflecting quite a bit. Tables and chairs were well appointed and comfortable. The service was impeccable with the staff working as a team we saw a total of 5 different people that asked if we needed anything which was nice. The night started with Carpaccio and Crabcake. The Carpaccio was good but lacked something. The crabcake was 9/10 needed less breading. Next we split a caprese which in my opinion was one of the best I’ve had. For dinner my wife had the Lobster tails which from the bite I tried was cooked perfectly. I had a 12 oz tenderloin cooked medium rare plus and did not let down. The cucumber martinis made in house should always be recommended and urged because they are dangerously good. I will definitely be coming back to dine at this establishment.

I went for my First time over the Thanksgiving Holiday inn b Town visiting Family!!! Am was Great, Service and Ambience however my dish the lobster while it liked Pretty it b was way over cooked and tough, the other 5 patients in my group however did like their food. I really should have sent my food back but I didn't. Definitely won't get the lobster again. I of the oei had the pork belly which I tasted and it was delicious!!!! It was my Birthday and they have us Strawberry cake and chocolate cake and they loved it! Next time I'm time I'll give them another try!!

Nice place with easy opportunities for improvement. Overall our dining experience was good. Customer service was top notch. Prices were as expected. It’s a split decision on the food. My girlfriend’s chilean Seabass was AWESOME, however my dry aged ribeye was “OK”. The steak did not have a lot of flavor and had a lot of fat/grizzle. Additionally our knives were as dull as could be. It was a challenge to even cut the fat away on the steak. I had two cocktails which were very good. Lastly the live music was good but IMO too loud. I expect the music to be a little loud in a bar setting but not so much while dining. Lucky they have a smaller dining area off the main floor which worked out well. I may give Blu one more try in the future.

Service was great. John was awesome. We did sit at bar prior to party arriving and the bartender was fantastic and very knowledgeable. Drinks were awesome. I am not a huge steak fan so ordered a chicken dish with pasta (dish name started with a G). The chicken was dry, we ended up taking home. Husband said his steak was good, not the best but good. The potato bread was the best thing we had! I would go back to sit at bar and for drinks and bread. The Cuban sazerac was delicious.

Call me high maintenance but this place is subpar. Wife and I came for our 3yr anniversay. Saw this place on a billboard on 1604 when it was opening up and thought we should try it for our special day. First, drinks and sides were excellent! The entrees not so much. You are a Steakhouse so your steaks should always ALWAYS be the main act. We asked for both cuts mid-rare. My wife's center cut ribeye was undercooked it was cold in center. My center cut NY strip was overcooked to medium. The steaks tasted good but were not cooked to perfection. Might I also suggest let your steaks rest before you serve. The decor is absolutely stunning in this place but the music wasnt it. It was at such a high level that it began to be too much. The music selection wasn't very romantic either. We ended up just eating what we could and just left. We spent $350+ for 2 people. We were extremely disappointed and upset with the experience entirely. We really wanted to like this place and want to try again but we're very reluctant. Lastly, the quality of this place isn't worth the price. We will more than likely not be coming back.

Loved the cosmopolitan feel at Blu Steakhouse; something San Antonio definitely needs more of. Unfortunately, the menu lacks originality and comes with an inexplicably high price tag. The wine list was also frustrating; three wines I ordered weren’t available, either because they were out or only had different vintages than what was listed. My cocktail had to be remade after I was initially served what tasted like stale liquor, which was disappointing. The service was average overall. Maybe it was just bad luck on my visit, but it didn’t leave me feeling eager to come back.

Expectations were set high due to being recommended by a friend whom we both visit Chop Houses. Then the expectation was elevated to a higher level when I received a phone call from Blü confirming our reservation, dress attire along with asking if were celebrating a special occasion Where it quickly missed the mark, is when we walked in and the young lady I assume was working with her IPAD and sitting arrangements left us there ( what felt like minutes) then said oh I didn’t see you I maybe to old school for the setting, I kept waiting for Tubs and Crocket from Miami Vice to walk in and or bust someone The server was attentive, on point and fully engaged, he was just already behind the curve of our expectations. Not a single visit from any level of management. Which every high end stake house we visit always makes a point to visit each and every patron The food was delicious and was what should be served. The steak could be cut with your fork and melted in your mouth. We did share each dish

The steaks tasted good but were not cooked to perfection. The decor is absolutely stunning in this place but the music nearly ruined the night. It was at such a high level that it began to overstimulate my wife. The music selection wasn't very romantic either. We ended up getting everything to go. At nearly $300 for two people we were so disappointed with the experience as a whole. We really wanted to love this place. However, I couldn't justify the ratio in quality to price.

We were there for a birthday, our first time. And our last. Started with Lamb Lollipops, very good. Not sure if they’re worth more than the Happy Hour price, though. Had the steak fries as a side. Have you ever been in a diner, got the baked potato that comes out wrapped in aluminum foil and it’s been sitting in the warming drawer for a couple hours and tastes like it? That’s the steak fries. Was asked by the manager how things were, told him I thought the fries were not great, he exchanged them with exactly the same tasting fries. Also ordered the broccoli, and was disappointed with them. They were about 6-8 inches long, the stem was thick and hard with just a small floret at the end. You’d think at that price florets would be the only thing you would get. Steaks in our party were good, but not worth the price. If you want a good steak at a reasonable price, try Longhorn Steakhouse. The major problem I had with Blu was the acoustics are terrible, it was extremely loud, and the live entertainment was not good, in fact I could not understand one word that she was “singing”. We were disappointed, had high expectations and they were not met. Save your time and money for a better restaurant than Blu.

I’ll start off with the good. The service was outstanding and the environment was very nice. The food was sub par. The ribeye was chewy and I added a pic of the cut I was given. Feels like tendon. The salmon was alright but the lobster Mac and cheese was not flavored well. Tasted horrible. For the price Eddie Vs is just better.

Went for a birthday dinner last night. The atmosphere was sleek. The service was amazing. The food was disgusting. Because there was a party of 20, we had a selected menu. The lobster bisque was really good but everyone was cutting up their soup because there was a hunk of lobster tail in there. I ordered their short rib fettuccine. NO SEASONING at all on the dish. The noodles was under cooked. The meat was very tender but full of fat. The asparagus and mushrooms were good but the macaroni and cheese was made with spiral noodles and taste like heavy cream and cheese. The chocolate mousse cake tasted like Little Debbie cake Ho Ho’s. They ran out of Key Lime pie. If this was a $60 meal I would just right it off and never come back. However, it would be remiss of me to not write an honest review on a $400 bill. I will stick to Eddie V’s and will NEVER comeback here. The only reason I’m I have it a two was because of the vibe and service.

The staff did try to fix some of the issues and that was appreciated, but unfortunately the experience we had was terrible and I feel like I flushed $300 down a toilet. Something went wrong with almost every part of the night and I was embarrassed for bringing my friend here on a night that was meant to cheer her up. Perhaps I chose the wrong table type on the reservation (there were no details on what each entailed anywhere), but we were initially seated at a table which, frankly, should not exist. It was too small for two people, hidden away around a wall in a corner facing the end of the bar and required guests to be elbow to elbow. Our request to move was honored thankfully, but we saw other patrons attempted to be seated there and refusing as well and a couple who looked unhappy with it eventually seated there. This is a bad experience for guests to feel they have to speak up awkwardly, just remove the table. The table we were moved to was also too small and right next to the piano, so it was very loud. This would have been dealable (although still not really acceptable for fine dining) except for the fact that every time the door to the restaurant was opened, we were buffeted with freezing cold air from outside. This could've been fixed if the secondary door to the receiving area was used. The first cocktail took forever to come out (probably 10-15 min), our poor waitress kept apologizing. Not a big deal in isolation, but odd. Then the food came. Both of our steaks were overcooked. Mine was less so, so I decided to accept it given we were going to have to send the other back and things were already awkward from moving. My friend's was over well done and did not look good at all (thin, gray, dried out). The waitress was very kind to us and got her a new one which the manager (I assume) brought out to us and it was better. The quality of the food was okay, not amazing, and definitely not worth the price. During the wait for her steak, a drunk patron came over to our table and started taking pictures of it two inches from me in our personal space. This was weird and uncomfortable. It would have been nice if a staff member helped or intervened. Finally, when we got the bill, it had an accidental double charge for the $80 ribeye and there was more awkwardness about being charged incorrectly. Again, usually wouldn't care much, but not what you expect with fine dining or $300 dinners. Most of this would normally be brushed off as an odd night if not for the fact that this is meant to be fine dining and was extremely expensive for how it turned out.

My wife and I have eaten here before and enjoyed our experience. However that was not the case last night. We made reservations for a large party of 15 or more and told them it was for a birthday party which was accommodated. It was a special occasion for my wife. (Her Birthday) From the time we arrived the service that was received from our waitress was not acceptable. The waitress never introduced herself, meaning no one in my party knew her name, and she never asked me or the gentleman next to me if we wanted another drink from the bar. Her upselling skills are not there for this type of Steak House. My party spent money last night and to automatically be charged 20% gratuity on not so good service is just wrong. We didn't even get to sing happy birthday cause the complimentary birthday cake arrived super late from our waitress and she brought 14 forks for us to try one slice of cake, when she should have asked if we wanted dessert. I did not enjoy my experience at Blu Prime Steakhouse.

The atmosphere was amazing and I wish the main dish was just the same but it wasn’t. I took my wife down here for her birthday and the atmosphere was top notch. I ordered a ribeye steak that was $145 with a side of lobster Mac and cheese and Brussels sprout. The side dishes were amazing both the lobster mac and cheese and Brussels sprout were seasoned really well. Then comes in the main dish which I was really excited to eat. The knives were really dull which didn’t help at all. The steak was tough and full of fat. The steak wasn’t tender at all and didn’t meet my expectations even a little bit. The only thing that I can say that I appreciate was the manager taking the order off because of how bad it was to me.

My husband and I went to Blu Prime to celebrate a special occasion. The atmosphere was amazing, beautifully decorated, classy, and romantic. Our server was kind and attentive, and the mocktails were really good. We started with the lamb lollipops, which were a little chewy and not worth the $48 price tag. I ordered the seafood pasta, and that was absolutely delicious. We also shared the steak fries and the truffle mac & cheese, both were great. Unfortunately, my husband’s ribeye was completely overcooked and charred. For a $170 steak, it was honestly inedible and definitely not worth the price. By the time the dish was taken back, the kitchen was closing, so he didn’t get a replacement and ended up just eating sides while I finished my meal alone, which kind of ruined the celebration vibe. A manager wasn’t available, but Pedro, the bar manager, came over and handled the situation perfectly. He was professional, apologetic, and made things right for us. He mentioned that others had also complained about burnt steaks, and he assured us it would be addressed, which we really appreciated. One other note (not necessarily the restaurant’s fault), but there were some very drunk guests nearby who were loud and even crying at their table. It threw off the fine dining atmosphere a bit, and I wish the staff had stepped in to manage that situation better. Overall, it was an okay experience, not terrible, but not what we expected from such an upscale spot. The food had highs and lows, and service recovery was great thanks to Pedro, but for the price point, we definitely expected a more consistent fine dining experience. I recommend going to J-Prime or even Eddie V’s instead if you want consistent service and food quality.
