AMAZING PIZZA!! and nicest workers!!! The place was small and cozy!! The pizza was the best ever! I swear best I've had ever!!!!!!!! We went in there to bring a pizza home since I'm sick but ended I ended up eating 6 pieces on the 16 inch!

We had a fantastic takeout experience at Mattenga’s Pizzeria! The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. George was incredibly helpful with our order friendly, efficient, and made sure everything was perfect. Excellent customer service. We’ll definitely be back!

I had a great experience with the guys today. I walked in and they voluntarily remade a pizza for me because they missed a few ingredients off of my online order. SA residents for more than 30 years but first time to Mattenga’s. Just wanted a casual lunch and found great reviews on FB. And what a great experience it was! Pizza was delicious, including the unique ground chicken & Parmesan (which was even more unique with brisket topping.) The ranch dressings were very tasty too. But the real highlight of our visit was the amazing and friendly service we received from Jose & Trinity at the Wilderness Oak store.

A gem to have in the Stone Oak area. Quick turnaround from online order to pickup! Pizza is fresh and the wings have a punch of flavor. I truly love the crust/dough and the variety of pizzas to choose from as well as the Mattenga’s ranch. You won’t regret the experience of tastiness you’ll receive from the spot. Great job Chef Matt and Chef Enga!

Mattenga’s is by far the best pizza in SA! I tried the greek salad today and everything was fresh and the greek dressing was delicious. Thank you Luis for always giving amazing customer service and treating every customer with kindness and compassion. We need more of that in the world. Keep it up!

Stopped in here for lunch to unexpectedly receive the best service I’ve ever had a pizza place. General manager was working the register, was super welcoming and friendly. Served me right at the table generously and kindly. The pizza was also delicious, crispy crust but not burnt, excellent quality topping. 100% stopping here again sometime. It’s rare find these days to see places that have good food and good service.

We ordered pizza, pretzels, and pizza rolls. Everything was very fresh and excellent. We will order again in the near future. The crust is very thin and perfectly cooked, crispy on the bottom, but soft on the top and totally foldable. I was very surprised how amazing the pizza rolls were. And the pretzels were perfect. I love soft pretzels, and finding good ones are hard to come by. Everything was excellent.

Super tasty pizzas, made exactly as ordered. Their large size (20”) is HUGE, so either be very hungry or be prepared to make room in your fridge for leftovers! With pizza this good, I do not mind the leftovers one bit…

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Mattangas Pizzeria. From the moment we walked in, Luis was phenomenal. He took the time to chat with us, share the history behind the restaurant, and really made us feel welcome. He even made sure we’d want to come back by treating our kids to a free dessert for being on their best behavior. He checked on us periodically, and that extra care just made the whole meal feel special. Honestly, it’s a 10 out of 10 experience. Highly recommend Mattangas Pizza if you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with top-notch service!

This place would the absolute top choice for pizza in the area if their service wasn’t terrible. The pizza is amazing, wings and everything else we’ve tried as well. But every time you go to pick food up they have 3/4 of the order ready and you wait 15 minutes for the rest while your stuff sits under the heat lamp. I waited an extra 10 minutes to go pick up this time to give them some additional time to get all the food done…. And sat waiting for 15 minutes again watching them out my last pizza in the oven. So if you can put up with that every time you eat here then yeah pizza is great

Ordering on line is simple, both times I have had to ask for the remainder of my order. Last time was dressing for a salad. We ordered a large Caesar and had to ask for dressing. When I got home I realized we only got one small cup for a large salad. No worries, we had Caesar dressing at home. Tonight I ordered two ranch for the pizza and cheese bread. I had to come back in and ask for it.

The food I ordered was prepared well, and tasted great. The experience at the store to pick it up was not great. The item was not ready when promised, and the people working in the store seem to be disinterested in doing great work or providing good experiences for the customers. Either there is a lot of employee turnover in the store so the experience level is not high enough, or the store management is not doing a good job of training the employees to be customer focused and to do great work.

Pizza had ample cheese and was cooked well, however had very very little sauce. Pizza was small for a 16 inch don’t think dough was stretch properly.

In all honesty I had a terrible experience, Izzy was very nice and working hard while there was 2 other employees not really doing anything but messing with each other. I asked for crispy, the pizza wasn’t crispy at all, doughy if anything with no taste. I have given mattengas chance after chance and have been disappointed most of the time. It’s good pizza, if they pay attention to the details.

There is no atmosphere. You walk in and pick up your order. They have an utterly useless AI voice order taker when you phone in that is so annoying, we will never go back to this place. It took us 30 minutes to order through the AI BOT. When that didn't work, it sent us ti wait in a human to ouck up the phone, only to go to voice mail! Who orders pizza through voicemail. Thinking they were busy as it was superbowl Sunday, we get there and there is no one oyger customers there, the lot is empty. 3 employees working, but no one can answer the phone. I can see why Matengas is closing up around town. Don't bother, the ouzza isn't that great either. Ours was very greasy.

I've been a frequent patron of this pizzeria and the problems persist. Great food! Slow and poor customer service and completion. 1/2 the time the order is wrong or missing sauces (which are so good!) And a lot of the times, they just leave off entire pizzas. Sad when my child doesn't get to eat on Friday night with everyone else. Can't be trusted to get the order close to right so we will have to go somewhere else from now on. Great food, terrible follow through
