Best Thai restaurant in San Antonio. Not only is the food delicious but the service is fantastic.
One of the best thai places in San Antonio. Their pineapple fried rice, curry, and Tom Yum soup are especially delicious, but honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here.
Quiet little restaurant in the Olmos Park area. Came here on a date night after a long trip and we were not disappointed. We both had a Pad Thai and shared an order of spring rolls. Delicious and highly recommend.
Great restaurant! Try to go at least once a week. Usually to go but has a cute dining area. Great service and amazing food. My go to is the drunken noodles with cheese rolls for an app. 10 out of 10
This was our first time dining at Yaya's. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming. The staff was attentive and friendly. Most importantly, the food was stellar. From the fresh roll appetizers to the papaya sala, and our main course selections were visually appealing, well-executed, and delicious. Shout out to the front of house and kitchen staff for making our meal a very memorable dining experience.
Was craving pad Thai and this place is close to where I work. I was surprised how fast my order was made. You can tell it was freshly cooked and it was steaming hot. The flavor and portion size was excellent and taste overall great! I would definitely come back here. Satisfied customer!
I reviewed this place on my blog not long after it opened (Curmudgeon About Town, October 2010) & note improvement. Glass noodles are still a little overcooked - so easy to do, a matter of seconds - but the meat & veg in the pad wun sen are much better done. Curries are excellent, esp the green & panang. Fresh rolls are very good. Prices have gone up only slightly in 14 years, & are still quite reasonable. Service & ambience are very good. Recommended.
This isn’t just one of the best places in the olmos park area…..it’s one of the best places in San Antonio! What I really Appreciate is how clean all the food tasted. Nothing oily, nothing too salty. You can really taste what you’re eating. The soups are all amazing and the spring rolls…..delicious. I typically go here once a week and have been for years.
I must say that the food here rates among the top Thai places I’ve been. The egg drop soup obviously had an added spice which gave it a very delicious flavor; the best I’ve had ever. I ordered the eggplant delight with shrimp. Very tasty. The flavor wasn’t overpowering, you could enjoy the flavor combinations of onion, eggplant, and the shrimp along with the sauce and all the other ingredients. The vegetables were fresh and still a bit crunchy, not soggy. For myself I would have enjoyed a little heat added to the dish, but it was still very good. The dish was filling, but not overly stuffing so I didn’t have to return to work feeling tired. The staff was friendly and I did notice they were very hard working. Not once was any waitstaff Edson standing around. Excellent place to eat.
The food is wonderful! They always make the best eggplant delight and thier curries, there's not enough raving I can do for all their curry. Ever flavourful has been great. The soft-shell crab is excellent and so is their duck. I have eaten in the restraunt, take out, and via delivery. It doesn't matter how you get it, the food quality has been spot on. They've always had good service and I can't give enough stars.
Excellent thai food. This well decorated and comfortable restaurant offers seating inside or on the patio area in front. The staff is friendly and professional and provides reasonably fast service. The curry dish I had was exceptional. The vegetables were fresh and every bite was savory. Highly recommend that you stop in if your in the area.
We ordered delivery and it’s some of the best Thai food we’ve had in San Antonio! Will DEFINITELY be ordering again.
Incredibly delicious food - no wonder it's won all the awards it has. Lots of seating for parties of all sizes and despite the size of the restaurant, the acoustics were great (I was never distracted by conversations at the other tables around us). I highly recommend the hot pot of Tom Kai - perfect for a group of 2-3.
Best drunken noodles I've ever had. Nice atmosphere and excellent service.
What a cute tucked away little eatery. Found this spot after our first choice was take out only. So glad we did. It was quiet, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the decor was pleasant. The best part was the food. It was all fresh and delicious. You can tell this was made to order. We chose a variety of dishes probably enough to feed 7 people even though there were only 4 in our party. Large portions and so tasty!
We had the pad Thai and Yaya fried rice and both were so delicious.
Brought my in laws for dinner. It was their first time eating Thai food and they loved it. I had the clear glass noodles and tofu and it was delicious. Definitely returning and so are they. Lots of safe parking was available.
This was my first time ordering from here and it is by far one of my favorite places to eat in San Antonio. The food is delicious with great quality and they are generous with their servings. This place has some of the best duck I have ever had.
We dined here last night for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. All of the food was freshly made, well seasoned, served hot and the presentation of all the food was breathtaking! Thank you to our Server Bah for excellent service. We started dinner with an appetizer of Vegetable Egg rolls served with sweet chili garlic sauce. For the main course we ordered Pad Woon Sen with beef which is stir fried mixed vegetables, egg and clear glass noodles in brown sauce with a side of steamed rice. Excellent dish. It’s been really hard to find a great tasting Pad Woon Sen made with glass noodles. The other entree we ordered was the Chef’s Special Grilled Salmon with stir fried mixed vegetables and ginger sauce. We also ordered the Thai tea. Everything was excellent. We definitely recommend and will certainly return again. This is a drive for us but most definitely worth it.
YaYa’s Thai restaurant is hands down the best Thai food in SA! The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The owner and the staff are so kind and friendly. Our experience is always wonderful every time we go. We ordered Thai lettuce wraps and wine to start. I had the Hit and Run, which is the most delicious sizzling duck platter. My husband has his regular, Pad Woon Sen, which seems to get better every time we go! We love YaYa’s!
My daughter and I came here for lunch today and really enjoyed it. There were only two others in the restaurant so it was pretty quiet. Our server was really nice and I loved that she gave us the time we needed to look over the menu. Some servers rush you all the time so it was refreshing not having to do that. The thai tea was great and the food was very filling. My daughter ordered egg drop soup and spring rolls. The rolls are VERY big, not the normal small spring rolls you'd get anywhere else. She couldn't eat them all but said they were good. I ordered miso soup, lettuce wraps and Phuket sea. The Phuket sea came out sizzling on a plate so I had to wait for it to cool a bit but by then, I was full off the soup and wraps that I got it to go. I just finished it and it was great. Very different than any other Thai dishes I've tried, which was nice. It was a pleasant first experience.
Great place to eat thai food!!! 😋😋😋 I had the thai basil fried rice, and it was among the best I’ve had here in San Antonio! I came during lunch, and the service was quick (and their lunch specials are very reasonable!). I highly recommend this Thai restaurant!
Overall was absolutely fantastic! Waitress was very attentive to us and the food was wonderful! I will be back for more curry! I had the Queen of duck in red curry and it was some of the best duck I've ever had!
Went here with a co-worker for lunch. Ambiance is very nice: black, clean, and chic. Staff are prompt and attentive. Menu is extensive, with some items I'd not seen on many other Thai restaurant menus. I went with the green curry with beef and washed it down with hot green tea. Coworker had same curry with chicken. We split cheese egg rolls. The hot & sour soup (included) was stellar. The curry sublime with many layers of flavor: OMG! This was awesome food. Will return many times.

I love YaYa's. It is where I go when I'm having a good day, when I need a comforting meal, when I want to eat something healthy in a tranquil atmosphere. The YaYa's on McCullough is my "Cheers." I like (I really mean LOVE) the staff and everything I have had there: Pad Woon Sen, Thai Green Curry, the Vegetable plate (sometimes with chicken, sometimes with tofu), the soups and the eggrolls and even the tea! The food is beautiful and tasty!
Don't sleep on this place. The food is amazing. The staff is super friendly. It's never crowded which I don't get and I don't mind LoL. I usually order a Chang while I wait for my order to go. IYKYK. Three Best Friends and Yaya's fried rice is my goto.
I ordered Thai Green Curry, it is very good, perfect spice. One of the restaurants that I will go to get dinner as they opened until 9 pm. I called to make the order then pick it up. Will come back to try other menus.

Food was good but this time the portion was smaller. I got it in a styrofoam plate with sections. The chicken pad Thai was insider aluminum foil. And the peanuts were on the other sections. It used to come in a plastic bowl and the portion used to be larger. Overall still good. Definitely some sneaky size shrinkage. Definitely noticed. Also eating off the aluminum is not so healthy.
Cute restaurant with good prices on lunch specials. However, I was disappointed as I ordered my food “medium” and it was so spicy I couldn’t taste any other flavors. I like decently spicy food, not Thai spicy, but pretty spicy for a white person and I struggled to finish my meal. Reading some other reviews it seems like their spice levels are inconsistent. I’d order again, but would definitely order it mild and add my own chili oil.
Very tasty food, easy to order online. The food was ready quickly. The combination platter has a good selection of appetizers to try. And there's a variety of entrees, should be able to find something for everyone.
1st time eating here at Yayas Thai and the staff was nice & very friendly. The restaurant was clean and cute inside and out. We ordered several dishes and each dish was good but we wish they would have been spicier we asked for hot and they were all very mild. The Masaman was on point! Would get it again hopefully hotter next time.

I get delivery from here all of the time. The green curry is my absolute favorite in town. I love it so much that I frequently fork over the money to skip the lunch special and go for the dinner size. The frustrating thing about it, is I never know how much I'm actually getting! Consistently I'm receiving less and less food, almost the equivalent of the lunch size. Today was kind of the final straw. This happens a lot of the time and there's no way to "send it back" after it being delivered. After the first few times of bringing it up to the restaurant itself, I just stopped asking for it to be corrected. Really sucks that I have to gamble on the portion sizes. :/
Nasty lil bathrooms. Over priced bottled beer selection. Dumplings were tasty but on the small side. Sever took my plate with food still on it...
If you order on Uber Eats/Doordash I would call your drive to confirm they have the right order. The food was good but I got nothing that I ordered and completely different. I read more reviews where this happened so be sure to call!
Had the pepper steak lunch. The portions were good but I thought the food lacked flavor. I wanted my plate spicy and it was mild at best. I'm glad I tried this restaurant but I will not be back. My coworker had the opposite experience .. her plate was too salty but our waitress was so nice about it and made things right.
Pretty good spot, never really super busy so it's usually easy to get a table. Expect pretty standard Thai dishes and decent service. They have some great Pad Thai and go by levels 1 to 5 in regards to how spicy you want your food. Additionally, their Drunken Noodles are absolutely amazing and are basically the reason my girlfriend continues to come here. In the end, expect a decent meal. Nothing crazy, nothing bad but definitely a "safe" option if you are looking for some standard Thai cuisine and fast seating.

The service was slow, my green curry was not very good and the vegetables appear to have come out of a frozen bag. The spring roll was over fried and tasted like the grease was old. The eggplant in the curry was good and the rice was cooked well. My wife had the vermicelli special and the noodles were way overcooked and overall it was tasteless. Nice location and interior. The staff was polite. Too many other better Thai places to revisit this one.
First time dinning at this location in San Antonio and e were very disappointed in the food. The server was attentive and courteous but the food lacked flavor, spice and extremely bland. The drunken noodles were the worst we've had, the seafood plate was sweet and needed a savory twist for balance. Extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend it if your looking for flavorful Thai cuisine.

First time customers at this location. We will never order from this location again. We ordered Special Healthy soup and we got tofu veg soup with no tofu and rice noodles. My spouse takes the food back and lets the lady at the register know what was going on. She proceeds to tell my spouse that she didn't make the food and she didn't know if the cooks would fix it. Not even five minute's later she brings the food back out. It took about 42min to get it the first time. I was so frustrated with them that we just took the food they gave to us because I hadn't eaten all day. We live about an hour from the restaurant. When we get home and we open the bag and two of the soups are open and spilled in the bag. We bought four large soups. The wrong vegetable and noodles were in the soup and the soup had no flavor. So disappointed 😞. Bad service and food. We will go to the other location next time. The service and the food are 100 times better. Also they don't try to cheat you.
I was in town for work and I love trying different Thai places being that I am 1/2 Thai myself. Let me start off by saying how disappointed I am about the food. No flavor whatsoever, the Thai Tea was definitely watered down, the only good thing was the Winter Shrimp. No utensils included in the bag. I really wish I could give them a 0 because the Seafood Combo Tornado made me sick for days. Will never order from here again!

Grossest green curry I’ve ever had. Got it delivered and it showed up as disturbingly fluorescent green color. Asked for it to be Thai spicy and I can’t taste anything. If you enjoy Thai cuisine do not go here.
