Took family out to eat there last nite and everything was delicious. Had the lomo saltado and wife and kids had tallarines verdes. Kids Felt like we were eating grandmas peruvian food! Service was excellent. Definitely would recommend
the lady is so friendly, knows her menu, explained me really good everything I asked about the menu..... I got "Jalea" and a "chicha morada" it was delicious ... highly recomend it ..
We had a work lunch here and lived the meal. A few of us had never experienced Peruvian food and were impressed with the flavors. I will deffinetly be coming back when I am in the area and will suggest it to others.
Very, very good food! My group ordered the chaufa de mariscos, lomo saltado, papá la hora and cheviche mixo. It was.. you just have to come and try it! Oh, and of course with Inka Cola!
I love Peruvian food. Everything was great. The traffic was thigh but for a Lomo Saltado plate i go the extra mile. Delicious!!!
You wake up from your slumber drunk and possibly still rolling from the rave the two nights before. Opening the window overwhelms your eyes momentarily, and your sight returns as you gaze into the mirror. You look and FEEL like dehydrated chicken breast. You need food but being the classy upstanding individual you are, you are somehow able to manage forgoing the nearest McDonald's. A search reveals this oasis in a desert of fast food, El Rico Pollo. It's a really tasty hidden secret in San Bernadino. Biftec and Pollo a lo Pobre are super filling and refueling with relatively good portions. Space was ubiquitous due to its hidden location. Highly recommend for good Peruvian food 👍
Great flavorful food!. Friendly staff that guided you through the meal. Definitely somewhere you'd want to try if you want something different.
We have returned several times. The food is very good and is the only Peruvian restaurant in the area. The prices are also reasonable. The place is also clean and nicely decorated.
Freshest local Peruvian food around. It's in a hidden location but well worth the drive. The food is great and the service is exceptional.
Prefer this place compared to other peruvian places. Menu is great and has little exotic goodies through out. Bring your cards though, it is a $$ kinda place.
Only place I've found that serves good anticuchos outside of Peru. Delicious lucuma ice cream. You have to ask for the queso fresco with your corn though. Authentic delicious Peruvian food!
Food is great. But you have to wait very long long time. And lady waiters, who also manager, very, i mean, very unfriendly. With attitude "thank me that i am serving you, that i am taking you order.." But food is awsome. Thank you Chief. You a main stone of this restaurant Was today 6/7/19 Food like always awsome and service is great. Thank you. (Change from 3 to 5)
Brought my mom here for mother's day. The food is AMAZING!!! The workers are extremely nice and knowledgeable on the dishes and drinks. I recommend this place to any one that is a foody or loves to try new dishes. Lomo saltado and the ceviche are so rich in flavour. I will be going back soon.
My second time. The food is very authentic, and extremely tasty. They have a reasonable selection of drafts. Very prompt & attentive service. Rock solid!
Food is delicious. Service is a little slow. But definitely worth coming back
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place. I spend ALL of my personal holidays, family reunions, meet-ups and "I just need an El Rico fix" The food is OFF the CHART good. Lunches are packed and for good reason. There is something for everyone. I always have the white fish ceviche...then...(sigh)
We love this place. The menu is full of surprises…things you’ve never tasted. The green spice sauce would make any meal extraordinary and the giant Peruvian corn kernals are pure paradise.
Great food. Don't be in a hurry, expect for to take a while to come out. It is worth the wait. Friendly, family style staff.
Delicious Peruvian food. Family-friendly restaurant, with a great cuisine selection. Spacious, colorful decorations, nice table seating. Attentive and friendly service. It's worth the trip!
Been looking for great Peruvian restaurant near my home and I am so happy I found this place. Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the staff is also amazing, very friendly. I would've posted pictures but once I got a little taste of the food I couldn't stop, maybe next time because I definitely plan to go back very soon! Highly recommend.
The food was FRESH!! Staff was attentive. The place has a nice & cool ambiance
Best Peruvian food in the area! Love their lomo saltado and arroz chaufa! They also have decent veggie meat for those who are vegetarian.

Authentic Peruvian Food. Because of it being authentic and well prepared, it takes time to prep your meal. I can honestly say you'll be satisfied with your meal, a mixture of flavors that awakens your taste buds. From Appetizers to Entrees and there delicious dessert! You'll for sure leave satisfied and will want to return. These are a few of the plates I absolutely love and believe you will to. Recommendations: For starters they'll give you cancha and green sauce absolutely delicious, the green sauce will taste so good with steamed rice if you order an entree with it and french fries. They have a yummy Peruvian only "Agua Fresca" called Maracuya, Ceviche Mixto(Photo 1), Anticucho(Photo 2), chicharron de calmares(Photo 3), papa a la huancaina, Pollo a la Pobre, Pescado a lo Macho, Chupe de Camaron and last but not least Picarrones.....
I'm just a fan of Peruvian rotisserie chicken, they definitely have their own unique style and it's good. This is where I get it in San Bernardino. They definitely hook up the food generously and they do serve alcohol if that's your thing. I'm not going to complain about the dining area, I strictly come for the food.
All around great place !! Love the food such great flavors , staff is very kind and very attentive to customers , been coming here for awhile !!! Place is also kept very clean
PLEASE 3.8?! Are you kidding me the food here is 10 STARS 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 so good 😭😭😭 Most authentic Peruvian food IMO
This place never misses. Food is always flavorful authentic, the sides are delicious, and the portions are great for the price. Super comforting and always hits the spot!

Food is amazing, but maybe adding 1 more waitress so there's a total of 2 busy bodies tending to customers. Also it's stuffy, but I think the food is worth the visit!
One of the better Peruvian restaurants in the IE. Most of their plates are solid and they offer the menu items one would expect at a traditional Peruvian restaurant. Slightly overpriced but ideal for an intimate meal. Great for date night and family meals.
Good tasting Peruvian food. If you aren’t aware of Peru is known for its great sea food. A most try dish is the ‘Lomo Salteado’, beef strips with onions, tomatoes, French fries all mixed together, with a side of white rice. One of my favorite dishes is the ‘Arroz con Mariscos’ I will let you know that it’s a little spicy, nothing too hot, by just so that you know. Service is where they lack, waitresses need to be more attentive. They seldom stop by the table to see if you need anything. So you may be out of water for a while. I take my food to go since it’s so good.
Everything here is delicious. The name may be misleading because here you can find great selection of proeins, no just chicken. Fish, seafood, beef, chichen. Soups, stews, rices, pasta. And of course chicken with fries and salad. I love it!
Very good and delicious food. Good service and prices. Place could use an update
The food is pretty good. It gets pretty busy on the weekends, and the service gets negatively affected by it. Prices are above the average but the big portions and the quality of the food makes it worth it. I'd avoid it when it's busy. Has a small vegetarian section on the menu.
The place is very nice!!! Super clean and classy the food is good the service is fine, the waiter needs to pay a bit more attention to the costumers, and be more attentive to the needs of the costumer, he was a bit rude, it seems like if he didn't care much to give good service.. But over all the place is good... i will go back!!
Service is not too good. They are not attentive and friendly like other places BUT ..... the food is good. Specially the ceviche... you can taste the cleanliness and fresh fish and onions. I swear its the best. I always drive almost 2 hrs to come here because personally, their peruvian food is good unlike “americanized peruvian food” closer to me! I deff recommend this place. Only giving it 4 stars because the waiters need more warm welcoming attentive vibes!!! But food is great
I enjoyed the ambiance, the staff was great and friendly. Only giving it 4 stars because I have yet to try the entire menu. I will be coming for more seeing as the food was delicious.
Went here for something different, and different it was! Peruvian cuisine is something that I've seldom had, and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere here was a bit dark though. There wasn't any real light except for the very back and the big bay window.
Both dinners were delicious as usual. I could not believe how quickly we were served our meals. But then I noticed there were more cooks n the kitchen. As usual on a Sunday they were very busy. Non stop traffic in sperts of 10 to 15 minutes. My only complaint was service at our table. Our wait was kind but slow to watch her tables. Better service through the week. Consistently good flavorful food items, even non alcoholic beverages. Chef Ann
Very good food. I ordered the fried fish with tomatoes and onions and was very pleased. The servers were very friendly. The only reason I gave it 4 Stars was because the juices offered were cheap and from concentrate and because the service was a little slow, requiring me to gain the attention of the server to request refills, etc. but overall, I was very satisfied and would go back if I lived in the area.
Anticuchos $8: these are made from beef heart, marinated overnight in a mix of vinegar, spices, salt and pepper? and I am sure a couple of other ingredients. When done properly they are very tasty, the come with grilled potato and a savory sauce to dip them in. They are supposedly cooked on fire till the edges are crunchy or very close to it. We liked them a lot. 4 Stars. Ceviche Mixto $12: the most popular of peruvian dishes. There are countless varieties of ceviche, and it does take skill to make a good one, let alone an excellent one. Fish, Calamari, Shrimp, Octopus, this is a Ceviche Mixto. Comes with a leaf of lettuce, sweet potato, corn or hominy, and depending on the person they can make it very hot (spicy) or mildly so. This one we also liked, and the price was a little more benign than in most peruvian places. 4 Stars. Fried Fish $13?: Fried fish, did not determine what kind, but it was nicely spiced to where it had abundant flavor. Came with white rice and a fresh salad, plus a traditional onion salsa. Did not disappoint. 4 Stars. Picarones $6: a traditional deep fried like doughnut, very fluffy and crispy, made mostly with butter squash or pumpkin batter, and served with a traditional syrup that is very popular in Peru, Chancaca? (hope this is spelled correctly). When done properly this dessert is delicious and this version did not disappoint. 4 Stars. Service was mostly adequate. 3.5 Stars.Total Bill: $55+, plus gratuity, we felt it had been expensive for a lunch engagement, but then again peruvian places always squeeze the wallets, some more than others, though. 4 Stars. Today, 5-8-2019, made the blunder of returning to this wore out establishment. Last time was around 2 years ago? We wanted Peruvian, and we broke our decision not to return. We chose this place again because of the driving distance. The place is nicely decorated, Peruvian motifs and well chosen music. First, they should change their name from El Rico Pollo (the tasty chicken) to El Pollo Seco (the dry chicken), for it required gulps of their distasteful water 💦 just to swallow the overcooked, badly marinated, Peruvian style chicken. A total embarrassment to the very tasty chicken sold in Peru. We ordered one whole chicken w rice/fries for almost $25. Rice was mediocre. You want good Peruvian white rice? Go to Panca in Oceanside. Fries from the frozen bag were a lot more appetizing. 1.5 Stars. 2 Ceviches Mixto (mixed ceviche) for almost $30. Mine had more red onions than seafood, total rip off, and word to the wise, the citrus juice that supposedly cooks the raw seafood, comes in a bottle. The other ceviche was loaded w seafood compared to mine, made me slightly envious. Still, it was edible. 3 Stars. Chicken Causa, $8? Told it was very nice. 4 Stars. Anticuchos, $10+ Decent. 3 Stars. Picarones, $6.50. Peruvian dessert, we like it a lot. Deep fried like donuts made with squash/pumpkin? with a unique syrup. Place was empty at 7 PM, very bad sign indicating that this place does not attract customers. We have eaten here over the years, and it steadily has lost what was good once. Cutting corners, overcharging, sending mediocre food to the table, Peruvian restaurants are well known, among other cultures, to charge a lot but give you a little. At least in Peru they deliver high quality, but here it is rare to get a decent meal. I am not referring to one or two dishes that are acceptable, but to the whole menu. Service was lacking any enthusiasm whatsoever, who knows? Lackadaisical attitude can get contagious 😷 so watch out. A group arrives in a festive mood, ready to spend hard earned money, and in 5 minutes of being in the place, the gloomy behavior of the staff, vanquishes all smiles. Maybe a little neurotic to add to the disappointing overall effect. Next time chicken from Costco, a lot cheaper and tastier. El Seco Pollo looses respect and certainly we will shy away from visiting again. 2 Stars.
First time here and the food was very good. We will be back. We got here about 6pm and our food didn't take too long. There wasn't much of a wait.
Good food ,bad service slow all the time ,i go there everutime im around San Bernardino , that happens on most Peruvian restaurants sadly, but the food its good a lil pricey but fine.
Walked in and it was dark. The lights were off for sum reason. I get it natural light from the day time is ok but it did seem a little warm in there not sure if there ac had issues. Food was good 👍🏼 😋 no problems at all.
My review as my visit went, we order our drinks first, which the lady took a bit to bring them, then right after we order our food which was a Pescado a lo macho and a lomo saltado. The pescado a lo macho was good, the flavor was there, the lomo saltado was good too, except that the meat was hard, but the flavor was good. I’ve been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants so I know their food. If I’ll come again? Yes I will but I’ll try other dishes. The server needs to be more attentive tho

I used to come here for the ceviche and Lomo Saltado because it was in point, very delicious and comparable to the real Peruvian food we tried in Peru our selves. I don't knows if they changed the cook but lately the taste had changed and has gone down. I hope they can fix that soon. I would like tp continue coming here.
The food was delicious, but it took forever to get it, only one waiter. They need at least one more person to help.
Food here is inconsistent, sometimes incredible, but at times only average. It also takes time fyi get your food served. Place is clean and the staff is friendly.
I like the roasted/fried corn they serve as an appetizer. I go and buy this by the container. They have charged me different prices. That's concerning. Then my friend who is also a fan was told that this was for only dine in customers. Quite inconsistent. The lunch special is delicious. The dressing for the salad fluctuates lb tanginess. The chicken hasn't failed me yet. I go often but may look for other options.
Amazing food, but owner is super slow for a waitress and she is uptight. Very rude and not friendly. Slow service. Very expensive menu. Would recommend , but just to look around.
I been here many times but stopped going because of the poor service. The food is good but don't go expecting fast service. Food is usually out in 30 - 45 minutes. Last time I went , I left because 3 parties of ppl that arrived after us got their food. I spoke to the owner & she said a chef quit on her. I added other ppl after us got their food already, she had no comment.
Good food, a little pricey but authentic Peruvian cuisine. Friendly waitstaff but not overly attentive. We had a party of 12 and each entree was served at a different time (authentic) service. Good Anticucho ($10.50), Lomo Saltado ($14.50)
Food is great, service is friendly, but food can take a while. My friends and I came at a quiet hour but it still took a while for our food to be served. Lomo and pollo saltado were good but overall just too salty. We enjoyed the complimentary nuts and sauces served before our meal.
My Shrimp Ceviche was good but the appetizer includes much carbs and only a few shrimp, maybe 7 small shrimp for $17, not a great value for the price. However, the Pesto Pasta with Sirloin was delicious and a very good value at $14.50. They also had a very good IPA on tap which was a bonus! The one disappointment was that my entree arrived within 2 minutes of my appetizer. I only had time for 1 bite of shrimp and 1 bite of potato from my appetizer when my steak and pasta arrived. The waiter, needs some training so that he knows when to submit orders so they come out at the right time, the right interval!
The food was not great, but ok. We order Pobre steak 👎 with way too many starches on a plate, no veggies options, the meat was salty, and the eggs over cooked almost burned 🤔 asked for Yuca and got sweet plantains instead, the place is dark but clean for what I could see. I don't think I will visit this place anytime soon. No recommend this Peruvian restaurant.

I ordered a 1/4 chicken and they gave me a very small drumstick with a skin covered bone very little meat! I was hungry so I didn't bring it up to the waitress, speak about the waitress she gave my wife's plate to another person on our table who thought it was his so he ate it anyway! What the!!! I was disappointed to say the least but the food was good and I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 Just bad service
Poor service waitress not taking orders. After order taken took very long time to get order and we were the 2nd customers in the restuarant. Also did not have all we were looking to order 2 of the items were not available. Men's restroom was flooded there was an over head leak floors were slippery there was a 45 gallon drum in the middle of bathroom water leaking all over floor. Water was coming from the overhead lights seemed to be a potential electrical hazard.
Worse customer service I have ever experienced. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes to receive our food. They waitress was very rude and seem she did not want to work there. While we are eating pieces of the ceiling falls to the ground and almost hit some customers.
The food was good but they take so much time to serve the food, and I feel like this place could improve
I do not recommend El Rico Pollo. It took a bit to be acknowledged after we walked into the restaurant even though the 2 servers looked at us. Many menu items were not available, it was very disappointing not to be able to eat what my family and I wanted. The sauce of the lomo saltado was salty, and it tasted like soy sauce. The maracuyá drink tasted like it was made from a powder mix. We will not return.
Good is good but not your money’s worth. Parihuela comes with no rice no bread and very little few seafood in my bowl. It was just sauce but no meat. It is ridiculous what they do.It could be better. I left this restaurant hungry after paying 19.00 for a plate and 16.00 for my partners food. They should learn from mamitas in Glendale and Mario’s in Los Angeles. I won’t come back to this restaurant, I don’t recommended. They take your money and they send you home hungry.
Ordered 2 dishes , Chaufa de pollo (chicken chaufa). It was big in portion of rice , but was lacking chicken, the "Lomo Saltado was good not the best ive had , meat overcooked for my taste, good portion of protein and fries. The service is terrible. I had asked for the aji sauce (aioli) a few times before getting it to my table . I had to get up from my table and ask a final time before I got it with rolled eyes as the server handed me what I asked for 10min before.
I was excited to see Peruvian Cuisine offered locally, but they were ultimately disappointing. I ordered the "Pollo a lo Pobre," and it took them literally 25 minutes to complete my order, which they explained by telling me that they had to change the oil in the kitchen. Yet, the chicken was insanely overcooked to the point of a leathery quality, and the fries were like lumps of moist potatoes. Even the rice came off as clumpy and plain, and the egg was just obviously overdone to the point where I had to struggle to cut it with a knife. I've had good Peruvian food before... but this was not it. To their credit, the plantains were decent, and the Maracuya was a refreshing beverage, but I have to wonder why they are still in business if this is the fare they offer. 2/10; I don't think I'm planning to go back anytime soon. The lady was really nice about it, though, hence the full-stars for service. Also, my meal cost $30.00. That's a lot of money to be spent on disappointment.
Horrible customer service. We waited a few minutes before being acknowledged at all, the waitress didn’t even say hi, she barely talked. I ordered lomo saltado flavor was great but it had only a few pieces of meat, my boyfriend ordered chicken and they were out of chicken! It was only 3:30 pm. I ordered picarones and the guy who made the was on break so we could not get them. I don’t think we’ll be back, keep in mind they have a B from health department too.
I had dined here years ago and sadly this place has lost its touch. This was my first time going after the pandemic and ordered what used to be our favorite dishes. The Lomo Saltado’s meat was dry and hard. There was no juice in the meat. For the Ceviche Mixto, they did not let the fish marinate in the lemon juice long enough before serving, it was still raw. The lemon juice was bitter and not tasteful at all. The onion used to be sautéed in this lemon juice, which is now just plainly served on top with zero taste whatsoever. The Maracuyá drink had a bitter aftertaste like when drinks are about to go bad. I brought this all to the owners attention and she sadly was like oh ok. The service was BAD! The waitress was busy gossiping that not once did she check on us. I sadly no longer recommend this place.
First time trying their food .. but not happy when i asked for double salad... they gave me only 2 pieces of tomatoe... and one little piece of cucumber is that a salad!? and... a "salad" on the side that was only lettuce nothing else.. cmon! 😕 not again for me ...
Was exited to eat at a Peruvian restaurant but the food was disappointing. It lack flavor, felt dried and not fresh at all. Specially disappointed of the price for what we got. Each plate is around $20 - $30 plus drinks. Very expensive and not the best food. The drinks of Maracuya were just the flavor because felt like water with maracuya powder. Thes plce was clean and a little bit dark. The waiter was really nice.
Food is good. But the food tray for to go orders is some type of cardboard. All the juices soak into the tray. Also there is little meat with the dish! Guess I’ll order extra meat next time? Onions for days!!! $60 for lunch, disappointing.

They have a good attention and the food is good but at the time of closing their doors they do not comply with the schedule with 10 minutes left they close their doors and practically being at the door they put the closed sign I wait and train more. To your workers
I don't often make a negative review but I was very disappointed with this Peruvian restaurant. I ordered the yucca a la hucaiana which came with 4 very small pieces for $8.50 and the sauce was salty. My main course was the Tallarin verde con pollo and that was also lacking the Peruvian taste. For those who know Peruvian food they will be disappointed, for those who are trying it for the first time please know there are better places.
4th time I've wanted to try it.... It says open 11am never opened on time after 30 minutes nobody came to door even tho I see them thru the glass
El peor sitio de comida peruana que he ido en mi vida. The chicken was raw and even dirty, they didn’t clean it up before made it. I would only return for the picarones, other than that pretty bad 👎🏻👎🏻
The worse food ever. Cleaniness is the worse. I know someone that works there and the have showed me some very disgusting pictures. And let's not even talk about the way the employees get treated and robbed for their hours.
We came here to try them out on a Tuesday. We arrived at 8:01 pm for dinner. The server said they are CLOSED ALREADY! That early on a f**king Tuesday? Too bad for you. You just lost our business.
We went to this restaurant expecting to be served Peruvian Food, what a disappointing bad experienced, whoever is the cook, needs to go back to Peru and get more training in cooking. We order the pollo saltado, and it was not saltado but (salty as hell), rice was hard, onions overcooked, tomatoes were sour etc.. I would imagine that the other dishes suck as well. We have been to several Peruvian restaurants over the years, this is really bad. For those wanting really good Peruvian food, try the Pollo Inka in Gardena, or the Inca Cantina in Fountain Valley as well as others. This is really bad, suffice it to say we got sick.
Very bad customer service!!! It’s says that closes at 9:00 we arrived at 7:50 and the waiter said we have ten minutes to order because the kitchen was going to close at 8:00 right at the door before ask for how many people to sit ! We turned around and got out, as soon as we got out they turned off the open sign at the door! If you are the owner of the restaurant, please make sure your staff is trained appropriate for welcoming your customers.
Very unpleasant experience. We came for pollo a la brasa, and they told us they can only offer 1/4 of a chicken, but people that order carryout were taking 3- 4 whole chickens. After ther brought us our food, we had to wait 5 more minutes to get the silverware, and it was disposable. No napkins, floor with trash under the tables. Disgusting. The food mediocre. We ordered jalea, too much garlic, and the chicken tasteless. We try to support Peruvian restaurants, but like this, there is no way! A shame for Peruvian cuisine and culture. I rather drive 1 hr than coming back here again.
Update! 8/26/17 I came here with family today to try out the food, it seems as though there are new dishes with more fish and seafood. However, it seems like the service here got worse! I spent 2+ hours just for everyone to get their meals. Everyone's meal came out at different times and mine was barely luke-warm. Other family members chose not to even complete their meal due to the taste. The staff offered the excuse that "the order was entered wrong" although people at other tables received their food before us although they came late. I would caution about coming here. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area and even another Peruvian restaurant in Redlands. ----------------------------------------------------- I have been here several times and the service is always very lacking. They would be chatting at the counter or in the back than attending to customers. The food is also unimaginative and really just the same dish with different proteins.
Worst peruvian food!!! Nasty, I asked for ceviche, fish was bad, strong taste and smell, I could not even have a bite. Beans taste like a can with extra pepper added. Yellow sauce have a really bad after taste. Never will go back again. Nasty food!!!! Beware
I was there on 1/4/2020 around 3pm 1-services : friendly, very nice our server tried his best to help us bu the was over worked, he had too many tables and couldn't' keep up with so many people , I want to add that he was nice and professional . 3- As you wait they give you " Cancha" they put it on some paper tiny little samplers that you can hardly fit your fingers in that little thing, not even plastic, or glass the "cancha" is server in one of those sample little thingy's you get at costco for trying food, it was so tiny and is paper!! .You expect a little more when you are at a restaurant!!! I"m not exaggerating Its serve in a little tiny white paper thingy that looks like a tiny napkin ' 2- Food : I had order " Saltado de Mariscos" and Lomito Saltado : the food was cold, had no flavor at all. I first tried to eat it but it has no taste the only thing you can taste was the soyce sauce. Its obvious that the Chef in the kitchen is not familiar with Peruvian food. I was not the only one, people on the other table were returning their food because it was under cooked and the table across me was returning it for the same reason. No tasty, cold plate and horrible food. The plate ordered it came with 3 shrimps, and a few more seafod things that smell bad and taste it old!!! .. 3- There was I believe one server and one other person helping which made it very hard for the Server to come and check on us, WE also wanted to order desert and the desert we wanted to order they didn't have it. Overall experience was HORRIBLE - BAD FOOD -FOOD HAS NOT FLAVOR - OTHER CUSTOMERS WERE RETURNING THE FOOD JUST LIKE ME - ONE SERVER FOR THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT WITH ONE MORE LADY HELPING -THE PLATE PRESENTATION WAS NOT INVITING TO EAT -SEAFOOD HAD STRONG SMELL -PEOPLE WAITING FOR OVER 15 MINS. TO BE SEATED - WE DIDNT GET A THANK YOU ***** do not go to this place its bad and the experience is horrible*****
Took like 25 mins to be served. Place was empty. Took another 35 mins for the food to come out. It was ok, sauce wasn’t the same as others. You could do better. Wish the service was better. Man for being empty and waiting so long to be served was a slap to the face.
Terrible experince. Place dirty dark bathroom horrible celling almost falling off...i ask if they have jalea and the laydy respond look at the menu...we order pollo. And theres no pollo ...i order orroz chaufa was terrible. And biste a lo pobre full of friesand get over cook i will never go back.
Bad smell inside, it's open and the food isn't ready. Staff had a bad attitude
I was really disappointed with the service. I went to dine in and I didn’t see any sign saying “Wait to be seated “ my husband and I sat down. A few minutes later two other guys walked in and sat down at another table. The waitress came over to the two men first to give them a menu. The waitress then came over to our table with no menu’s in hand and asked if we were waiting for more people to join us, I said no it’s just my husband and I. She then mentioned that the table was for six people and we were only a party of two. I said so are not able to sit here and she said what if I have a party of six come in and they want to sit here. I was shocked. I said you have 15 empty table that they can sit at. With this type of service I got up and walked out! I will NEVER go back to El Rico Pollo again. Service is horrible and the prices are ridiculous.
Went to this place, ordered the drinks, appetizers, and entree's 20 minutes to get 1 entree. Didn't get anything else. There was only 6 tables on Saturday night & 2 were done eating. 2 servers & they told me they were short people on 4 tables. My wife's birthday too! Not ever again in my lifetime. Went to red lobster it was packed and we still got great service.
Very slow service. It was only two of us in the whole place and the server(maybe owner) took like 15 minutes to get us water we repeatedly let her know we were ready to place our order, came when she wanted it. About 50 minutes to get out food, we are still the only two in the whole place, then food was bland, no flavor whatsoever on either dish. My fiance got his food on to go containers and when we told her it was for dinner in she told us her and the other staff didn't want to wash dishes and since I got a soup that was the only reason I got a bowl and real spoon. NEVER GOING BACK, DON'T WATER YOUR TIME OR MONEY. NOT WITH IT!!! Place can't use more lighting also, we went around 4:40 and we had to use it cell phone light to read the menu. Go to Red Oaks in Lima Lindda instead. Same style of food, way better and not to far from this place.☹️☹️☹️
Lazy ppl attend here very expensive for the small portion they are rude at times I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if you would like to a real 5 star Peruvian restaurant I would recommend pollo inka ,cholitos, rocoto,Mario's, aje e limón, real good places worth it
Update: The quality on food has gone down and the service has always been very slow but now it's way more slow. Honestly upsetting for a place that at one point used to be delicious. Unfortunately, a place I will no longer be going to. Old Review: Authentic Peruvian Food.
Showed up to order chicken and they said they didn't have none, that I should've ordered it ahead of time. First time I go to a peruvian restaurant and they ask me to order chicken ahead of time. But should've figure since the place seemed like it doesn't have much business.
I ordered a Jalea and it was undercooked. I asked if I could order something else and the lady said no and said she was gonna charge me for my plate. The service was bad. The lady wasn’t very kind or welcoming.
Terrible service, terrible server, she would disappear and never check on us! The ceviche was over cooked in lime juice and tough. I’ve been to many Peruvian restaurants and this one is my least favorite. Save your money and go elsewhere.
