I almost don’t want to write this review so I can keep this place a secret but omg this is literally what I’ve been waiting for in San Clemente! This is exactly my vibes. I won’t even explain it so y’all can come try! All the drinks are good and I’m 100% in love. Shout out to the bartender Dean for taking great care of us on NYE. Unfortunately we weren't able to try their food as the kitchen was closed, def next time esp the beef tallow fries
What a lovely and surprising find in San Clemente. The entry to this alluring restaurant and bar is unassuming, but once inside, the detail and intentionality of the art deco inspired space is intimate and transportive. We were greeted by a delightful young man whose tone and demeanor accented the elevated and classy ambiance. Our bartender/server was also a delight and made sure to take care of our every need. Cocktails were fantastic and handcrafted with care. I had the ‘Penicillin’- not too sweet or overpowering with subtle notes of ginger and lemon. We paired it with the smash burger for $24. The goat cheese on the burger took it to the next level of decadent and savory. We also enjoyed the coconut shrimp with green curry sauce which was an ample portion and cooked well. The menu at Jane is small, but we will certainly be back to try their other offerings.
Dean was our bartender and drinks were amazing. Didn't have any food so can't comment on that but atmosphere and vibes were great!
Jane is a hidden gem! The first time i went here was during Christmas and i was blown away. I love the atmosphere, it’s great for a date or girls night. They also have days during the week where they offer cocktail specials. My boyfriend and i come here all the time and we love it!
Amazing!!! The limited menu of small plates were all lovely. Balanced and complex while filling and with options for everyone. The cocktails were to die for. With great options on and off menu when we couldn’t decide our servers did a perfect job guiding us!

I won’t even explain it so y’all can come try! All the drinks are good and I’m 100% in love. Being a New Orleans fean I will tell ya the oysters are so delicious 🤤 and the sauce that comes with you don’t need any other sauce. I will be a frequent flyer for sure!!!
Love this place! The drinks were really good. Sadly, we couldn’t try the food because they don’t serve it on Sundays.
Amazing cocktails, and the new brunch menu is spectacular. If you are around stop in for brunch here you won’t regret it. I got the chicken and waffles with the Brunch Punch cocktail.
The drinks were fantastic. I’m so happy to have an upscale cocktail lounge in San Clemente that doesn’t find the need to have a beach or rustic bar vibe.
Great local spot. Experienced mixologists. Great to sit at the bar and watch the show. Great to have a place like this in San Clemente. More crowded after dinner hours

My husband and I booked a table for 10 here the night before our wedding to have an intimate gathering with some close friends. We're from out of town and had never been in before- I booked because the menu seemed nice and it was the only place around that offered a reservation for that many people. I could not have been more pleased with the experience we had, and we will 100% be back the next time we're in the area! Our group had a variety of tastes from tequila drinkers, wine enthusiasts, whiskey lovers, and a few who don't drink alcohol. Everyone was able to get something they loved, and even though there were only 10 options from the "featured" drink menu the variety was great and it was fun to sample all of the unique flavor profiles. The food was delicious (the bao sliders in particular were a hit). The service was also wonderful- because of the occasion, they brought flutes of sparkling to the table. Our server was super friendly and stopped by regularly to make sure we were always taken care of. The music was excellent and I LOVED that it was not too loud! We were all able to have conversations across the table without having to yell or strain to hear one another. Overall, Jane's staff made our special night a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone- I just wished we lived closer so we could come here more often!
Okay, full disclosure: with four kids, a date night that doesn’t involve drive-thru fries or someone asking for ketchup is already a win—but Jane in San Clemente? Total glow-up moment for us. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was chef’s kiss. Dim lighting, gorgeous design, cozy but elevated—like Pinterest and a speakeasy had a very classy baby. It felt grown-up and cool without being pretentious (because let’s be real, I still had a Paw Patrol sticker on my shoe). The cocktails? Don’t even get me started. These are not your average drinks—they’re the kind you sip slow, admire the garnish, and then immediately plan your next visit so you can try another. I had one with gin and lavender that was dangerously good. My husband kept raving about how smooth his bourbon cocktail was. We felt fancy. We felt alive. And the food, though a smaller menu, is incredible. Small plates, yes, but big flavor. Everything was well thought out, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. It’s not a place for giant portions, but it’s perfect for sharing and savoring between sips and conversation. Bottom line: Jane is date night perfection—whether you’re escaping the chaos for a few hours or looking to impress out-of-town friends. It’s moody, delicious, and full of that “we need to do this more often” energy. We’ll be back. Probably with a babysitter already booked.
Great for bar night scene, more like a lounge. Good music and great crowd at night. Drinks are great too
Best Old Fashioned drink I’ve ever had. Me and my wife have traveled all over Long Beach and Orange County searching for the best old fashioned drink. And this is still our number one. Best ingredients, high quality ice and syrups. We still need to go back to try the food.
Bar Jane may or may not fit in with the rest of downtown San Clemente, but if you’re pondering this question, you soon realize that it’s beside the point. The cocktails here are fantastic, and if that’s an unexpected surprise, then just roll with it and change your expectations to fit the facts. Ethan has served us at each of our visits and has always taken great care of us with drink suggestions and overall service. My understanding is that they share a kitchen with The Cellar next door, but we’ve only ever ordered drinks at Jane. I just wish I lived closer.
Great drink menu. Folks behind the bar are very creative and can make darn well near something for everyone
Waited too long! Been wanting to try Jane for 10 YEARS - dumb to wait. Drinks great, food, service and ambiance better. Thanks Jane!

Every drink we’ve tried has been excellent. Bartenders are knowledgeable and super nice. And the steak!! I can’t say enough good things about the steak and beef tallow fries. Out of this world

The cocktail was terrific! I gave the bartender an idea of what i wanted and it was fabulous. Service was very mediocre. I had to ask for everything and other than the bartender checking on the drink the person who brought the food was ambivalent to customer needs. Again, cocktail and atmosphere A+

After hearing rave reviews about Jane, my wife and I were greatly looking forward to checking it out. Unfortunately, I don’t think we’ll be returning. Out of four cocktails, there wasn’t one we particularly enjoyed (and that included 2x “bartenders choice” cocktails). We tried one of the pizzas which was ok. After talking to a few restaurants in the area, it’s our understanding that there has been a lot of turnover in the bar manager position and so the cocktails themselves are more hit and miss than historical. Hope they get it figured out again.

Service was just not it. Everything was good except for the service. Felt totally ignored and not of interest to either the host or bartender. Everything else was nice, but the service really brought down enjoyment.
