By far the best Del Taco I have ever been to. Fast and friendly service. The employe ( who might of been the manager) called me by my name as I was leaving and said have a nice day. That right there is very good customer service.
The young lady running the counter AND the drive through did an amazing job keeping things running smoothly on a Friday night. Also kudos to lone guy working the back, turned out a flawless order.
It had been 20 years since I had one of their “green burritos“, and I wanted to see if they were as good as I remembered them; and they were! Completely satisfied.
Fast, fresh, coupon welcomed and courteously doubled (bogo -> b2g2), very much worth the 6 minute off-ramp. So many false, fake, malicious reviews. Ignore those trolls, just roll into this Del, load up, enjoy!
I just love Del Taco! So I would never bad mouth their food. Lol ❤️😆
Tiffany has amazingly pleasant customer service. Every time I visit and she is here she makes myself and my guests feel welcome and cared for. Also the food, especially those Beyond tacos are great. Great fries and great shakes. And knuckles to Tiffany!
Went through the drive thru and got breakfast. Have randomly done this for awhile now. 9/10 the order is spot on. This last time they forgot to give me the sauce. Not a deal breaker.
We choose to have a few of their box lunches... Which are amazingly good. Also reasonably priced. Also had the Dell races with sour cream and a chicken quesadilla. Nice. The mini Churros and donut holes tasted a bit premade and were small to boot . Is give them a pass and go to an ice cream shop afterwards if you have the yearning for a topper. The service was polite and with alacrity. The entire area was clean and freeway close. Enjoy.
I love the chili cheese fries and the carne asada tacos! If I am looking for a late night snack, this place is the very first fast-food restaurant that comes to my head for that snack. I wish more people would apply here because the last time I was at the drive-thru, there was only one cashier on duty who had to multi-task with cashiering people in the restaurant and taking drive-thru orders.
The food was prepared better than any Del Taco I have tried in years. I was so impressed that I am making this review so other people can have a similar experience.
Normally when i order from this location online for delivery i never get what i order. But this time i received the most exquisite quesadillas i've ever eaten from del taco.
I came here once like 10 years ago and I had the most life changing experience I've ever experienced that I'm still thinking about 10 years later. If I could give them a million stars I would. I was hungry one evening and ordered a burger, and for a burger connoisseur like myself, I know a burger when it I have one. They have hands down the best burgers I ever had, it made me appreciate exquisite high quality food. Granted I dropped a bunch of acid, but nonetheless I know deep down what a fantastic extraordinary burger it truly was. Thank you Del Taco in San Clemente for changing my life for the better.
This is a good place. Clean, and the staff are nice and helpful..try it..
No indoor toilets, got to get a key or something. Friendly helpful staff. Last del Taco before Pendleton southbound. Also you can tend to get caught up in the backup for In-N-Out right next door

Del Taco, my guilty pleasure. Got this while passing through on the way to the airport. Easy to find. Fast in the drive-thru. The gentleman working the window wasn't overly nice or friendly. But my burritos were good. Food came out nice and hot which is always a good thing. Do yourself a favor and get extra sauce on your red or green burritos. Also, ensure you get del scorcho hot sauce. That's the only way to go!
In San Clemente on Avenida Pico, we had shrimp tacos! Shrimp were a bit chewy, but tasty. They always have coupons for good deals. Hubby and I got 2/$5. Enough too satisfy hunger until dinner a few hours later on 4th of July.
Food is good, customer service is fair. Wish my experience was better but this visit wasn't as good as it had been in the past. Needs some work. Shakes are delicious!
Goof stuff for the price. Clean and quiet inside. It was a bit warm which was a little uncomfortable. Quick service. Kind staff
This place is a hit or miss. The people working there are fine but sometimes my tacos barely have meat :/ you can see in the photo a pinch of chicken…

Pretty good bang for the buck. Very edible Mexican fast food (much better than taco bell imo) works pretty well when in a time pinch or on a budget. The San Clemente location almost never has a line and the staff is friendly so no complaints here.

Food was good but a little more enthusiasm or personality from the employees would be nice. We've stopped here many times throughout the years and still hiring people who don't seem to want to even be there.
I have been coming here to this Del Taco for the majority part of 3 years and what I have seen and experienced has not been all that great. I have had orders served wrong and sometimes even cold food, why do I keep coning here you may ask; well I work near it and I don't have that many places to choose from. I avoid coming here whenever I can .
Usually we don’t have an issue with drive through orders, but they didn’t provide some item we ordered. Then Trying to have someone help us with the front doors locked, and yelling and pounding for someone to help. Only to be told to line up for drive through window again is not convenient at lunch time. Like the food. But the details will help me return.
The food is usually portioned right. The staff could use some additional training in customer service. The night staff is usually all teenagers. They dont smile often and didnt hear a sir or maam. It took them 4 minutes to acknowledge us as we stood at the front counter. And why is it ok for people to be on their phones when there are people waiting to be helped?
I know I know it’s fast food. Honestly the foods not to bad. It’s the wait for one that’s the issue. If it’s luch or dinner time be prepared to spend a while waiting in line. Especially the drive through. And always always check your orders here. I swear there is an issue almost ever time. Get home and either things are missing or the food isn’t right. Delux chili cheese fries have no sour cream or tomatoes. Open your packaging and check. Can’t count how many times have gotten back down by Ralph’s off el Camino just to realize that my food is missing simple ingredients. Like avocado, cheese, rice etc. makes me so mad when I have to go all the way back and then the other food is cold and soggy by the time I get home to finally eat. Idk if it just this location or what.
Good location with easy on/off from the freeway. Service was friendly, the location is small. The bathroom I used was outside around the corner and where employees are supposed to wash their hands,it was completely out of hand soap.My food was just okay, I got a tostada which had almost no lettuce and the crunchy corn shell was definitely blander than they used to be. I also ordered a chicken carbonara taco ..the taco meat was seasoned well with a spicy green sauce and the cilantro was fresh but color and texture of the chicken meat was reminiscent of cat food. Strawberry sprite was tasty. My chocolate shake was only suitable in size for a toddler had I known I wouldn't have ordered a small, apparently small means "mini".
I tried to post a review once before and I don't know what went wrong? So I'll do it again. My review for Del Taco was simply this. If you don't have alot of time and you need to grab something good and you aren't thinking about burgers or sandwiches and you like "Tacos" even more "American style Tacos" like your mom would make you at home, with a crispy shell and seasoned ground beef and a generous helping of toppings, then Del Taco is a good choice. Hands down a good crispy ground beef taco with shredded lettuce plenty of cheese, sour cream, diced tomatoes and hot, medium or mild salsas to choose from. And there's a lot more to choose from on their menu. If you haven't been to a Del Taco before you need to check it out. Oh and their prices are good too.

The order taker up front was taking orders up front, the drive through people, I saw her making orders, replacing ice when taking an order, this one person was practically running the place. Poor upper management!!! That poor older mexican lady!! The food was just ok, hope I dont get sick, the fidh tacos were fishy.I think I should of ask them to pay me to eat their food! Dont eat here
The General Manager is very unprofessional. He talks down to his employees. Today was not first time I've heard him belittle them. How he has his job is beyond me.-GSH
My burrito could have been put together better by a 5 year old. Absolute ZERO concern for customer satisfaction. The food was hot, and the gentleman at the window was nice. But the cooks need to be watched a little more thoroughly imo.
This particular Del Taco had a maniac making food. My Double Del cheeseburger was so saturated with sauce it was a huge mess. To make it worse it was a to go order and they barely gave us napkins. I practically took a bath in it and naturally it all fell apart since the bun was saturated. Tasted good but I I didn't really appreciate wearing my dinner. Fries were excellent!
Changed my review from 5 to 2 stars because of the tacos I received today. I'm assuming they try to moderate the amount of meat used on "taco Tuesdays" but that's not the way to keep anyone's business. I attached a photo of one taco, but ALL of them were like this. Apparently Del Taco is serving tortilla shells, lettuce and cheese, but somehow can pass them off as tacos. Hopefully something changes. If it does, I'll change my review.
I asked for well done fries and they didn't do well done. I asked for mild sauce and I got Del Scorcho. I ordered a raspberry tea and it was really watered down. The tacos just aren't the same. However the crunchy tacos was probably one of the best ones in comparison to all other tacos. The staff was friendly enough.
These people are so bad. It's like they do it on purpose. You can't possibly be this bad at your job.
My wife and kids like this place, I won't eat it. It's supposed to be fast food but I just waited 15 minutes for for a cheeseburger fries and a burrito. Oh and I got home and no cheeseburger. So 25 bucks for a burrito and fries because I'm not going back there and waiting again. I can cook my kid a cheeseburger faster. I hope in and out will hurry and put them out of business.

I entered the store around 5:35 to 5:40 and approached the counter. There was only one customer seated in the dining area at the time eating his meal. The drive through had very few cars. I was on my way to LAX from a friends house in San Diego. I had been driving for some time so I had to use the restroom before I purchased my meal. I stood and waited a good at least 5 minutes before some one came to the counter. I then asked for bathroom access. I came back and waited again at the counter. I counted 4 males and one female employee at this location. Again there was no one in the dining room and very few cars in the drive through and yet i waited and unusual amount of time. The gal that came to the counter was very polite and apologetic for the wait. I ordered my food and sat down in the dining room. That is when it all began. The fowl language coming from the kitchen was just ridiculous. I can not believe the lack of respect for customers. I thought is was on a construction site. Don't get me wrong I cuss but I know better in front of customers. The dining room was absolutely filthy as you can see from the 2 pictures. I frequent Del Taco's, I want to say 4 to 5 or more times a week. I am an outsides sales rep and enjoy the savings and the app. I again waited for a long period of time for my food, so much so that I sat there and thought this is very unlike a Del taco. Something was just not right. I finally got my food. I ate my burrito first. I then opened my flat bread chicken taco and found a large hair in it. I had a clear view of the kitchen and the 2 guys on the line both had rather long hair with no hats or coverings. I didn't approach the counter because of the fowl language and what seemed to be a very hostile kitchen. I just ate my quesadilla and left. I did dig my receipt out of the trash next to the drink bar because by this time I could not believe the quality of service coming out of this store. I have been to my share of Del Taco’s and this was by far the worse. The girl was the only saving grace. She seemed to be the only nice person, yet the other males where cussing at her. I will continue to eat at Del Taco but will never step foot in this one.
Just visited or local del taco and was very disappointed... ordered their featured Beyond taco with no cheese and they totally messed up the order... tons of cheese, a tiny bit of Beyond meat and no lettuce. This used to be my favorite Del but it must be under new management or something.
I understand that fast food is a hit or miss when it comes to quality & if one is to write a review about a eel taco that is less than desirable, than trust me, don't eat here. Absolutely awful experience.
Horrible service. I waited in the drive thru for way too long while they were laughing and screwing around inside. On guy was on his phone! No one even acknowledge me. No one even came to take my money for 5 min. I was the only car in the drive thru! Then they gave me the wrong order. They gave me asada instead of chicken! I had to go back through the drive through again and with one car in front of me it took 15 minutes!
Its off the freeway. Restrooms are outside and need to be monitored better. We were there before the crowd, and I know that the foods was prepared once ordered, the food was just not as quality as it should of been. We've been to many Del Tacos and this be wasn't great. My soft taco was a D. The meat was over seasoned and overcooked, the cheese was maybe 5 shreds, the soft taco tortilla was the toasted side. The soda was on point. Fresh lemons. And the turkey tacos are not available til after Jan. 2
I have the del app and they were trying real hard not to honor it it's the second time this has happened the cashier was friendly and they weren't rude but I felt they though I was stupid and I would just pay full price. Not today nope. That is all
Here I sit at a Del Taco that has open 24hrs posted on the internet (google) it’s 118am I have just worked all night and I’m on the way home to San Diego from Irvine . I get off the freeway preparing myself for a usually great reliable place to eat......and they are not F@&king open. People this is a digital world that we live in now make sure the information is right!!!!!!!!!! Your killing me. Horrible. The manager of this store should be fired.....no love for someone that just wants to spend money. If it’s not worth it to the business to stay open I understand just tell people so they don’t waste there time.
For years I have consistently ordered three soft tacos and a spicy jack quesadilla. Not only did the menu change and del got rid of the spicy jack quesadilla but when I ordered a couple regular soft tacos they gave me chicken soft tacos instead. Even though I asked the cashier he insisted it was the same thing which it wasn't. If this is the new Del Taco doubt I'll go back
Took more than 7 minutes to get a value cheeseburger. What I came for they were out of; chilli cheddar fries. Also this location does not serve breakfast at 11:00 at night like every other restaurant in the chain :(
Ordered a carne asada quesadilla and got almost no meat. Just cheese and potatoes. Not worth it.
Closed on Xmas. Dont even bother. I know they have a sign on the window that says they are open. But there have another sign blocking the drive through and doors are locked. And while writing this review about 6 other people parked, got out and checked the doors only to find them locked.
Lousy del taco. I ordered a number 13 which is the del beef burrito which is usually what I always order except this time it was literally skinnier than a bean and cheese burrito. I literally ate it in three bites. Fries weren’t cooked long enough either. Pretty lame considering how much del taco charges now for food. This combo not only used to be cheaper by a few dollars but also came with a del taco. There just taking advantage of people at this point. Inflation isn’t an excuse anymore
Online hours say they’re open at 7:00 am on weekends. I got here 7:15 am and they’re closed. Sticker on window says they open at 8:00 am . I wasted my time driving here :(

Food was terrible. I had to throw it out. This location used to be good. Not anymore.
Really bad experience, I ordered Strawberry Sprite and received lemonade, I ordered a medium fries and didn’t receive on my bag, I ordered only ketchup and I received only salsa, seems like these people aren’t happy where they are. There’s millions of people wanting to get a job, give value to what you have.
