Baja Betty's is always a fun atmosphere with great food and drinks. They have a happy/papi hour every day from 2 to 6 pm (Mondays, drinks until close) with $6 margaritas and food selections. We've had the quesadilla with chicken, tacos, and Mexican pizza with carnitas. All filled a whole dinner plate and were very filling. Taco Tuesdays are great too.

I LOVE this place. I have been coming here for ten years now and it never disappoints. I felt compelled to leave a review today because of the excellent service I received. I arrived a little before my friend and put our name in but decided to get a drink at the bar, the bar was pretty full and could only find an awkward seat at the end, the host came and got me and found me a nice table outside. They always go the extra mile! Love all of their food too! Have never had anything here I was disappointed with. If you are in the area definitely check them out !

Quesadilla was filled with flavorful pork. The queso dip with chorizo was honestly probably my favorite part of the meal. The tortilla bowl it came in was so flaky and yummy! This place has a wonderful atmosphere that works so well with the food being served there. My better half seemed to enjoy her food and beverage. The server was so nice and had so much attention to detail! He really did a great job helping us pack up our leftovers -- thank you so much!

First time here. Came a little bit early but the bartender David was so sweet and placed my "Papi Hour" order early. Had a margarita, which was very good. So good in fact, I had to restrain myself from getting another lol! Chips and salsa was on point! I don't know what type of seasonings they had on them chips but I almost ate them all. Even tasty without salsa! The bean dip was excellent and the quesadilla was yummy! I'm so happy that my earlier business brought me close to Baja Betty's and I def will be back!!

Loving the vibe! We had an amazing waiter Saul who made our experience the best! Saul helped us feel special as we celebrated my birthday and our 25th wedding anniversary! I was gifted a birthday crown and Sash to make my day even more special. We ordered the mexican mai tai, Mexican pizza and enchiladas. Food was great not as spicy and very tasty! Thank you Saul for your kindness, being attentive, personable & Efficient! Saul made recommendations as he was knowledgeable with menu options! This was a great find in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. It is a very comfortable and friendly place to grab a bite. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. We had the carnitas burrito and enchiladas which were very tasty. The drinks were nice and strong and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Oh Betty! Absolutely delicious! Babe, just go. Please, just go and see for yourself. I took Heather's word for it with the Carnitas, and fell in love (and not just with Heather 🫶🏼 es un amor)! You know how usually you order carnitas and they're dry? Or they're juicy but have no flavor? These babies are authentic. Riquísimo! The beans, the rice, the salsa, the queso, the fried ice cream, the horchata cold brew, the vibes, the playlist, the decor... Chef's kiss baby 😙👌🏼 all around! Thank you guys for an amazing meal! I'm sorry I completely forgot to take a picture of the food, it was so good!

My son wanted sushi but we decided to stop here instead. Let me tell you, it totally lives up to the hype here. What a wonderful place and I absolutely love the attentiveness of the servers. All sweet and very welcoming. My boyfriend had the al pastor tacos, my son had a quesadilla while I had the keto chicken adobo tacos. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. I loved that they offered a non tortilla option since I'm diabetic. Plus who can't say no to more cheese🧀?! I'll definitely visit again whenever we make it back to the San Diego area. A solid place for food and drinks. Nachos were good!!!! I got them with short rib, and they did not disappoint. Margarita was perfect. Not too sweet and syrupy like other places, they don't cheat you on the alcohol. The atmosphere has a good vibe, and the servers are lively and fun. Never leave with regrets when coming here. Great for large groups, but if you can, make a reservation.

Baja Betty’s is exactly the kind of spot you want in your rotation—great vibes, solid food, and dangerously good margaritas. We stopped in and were not disappointed. The Ceviche was a standout—fresh, citrusy, and just the right amount of seafood. We also got the Make Your Own Guacamole, which was a fun touch and made sure we had it exactly how we wanted (extra tomatoes, always). And of course, the Strawberry Margarita was perfect—sweet, but not too sweet. The energy here is lively without being overwhelming, and the service was friendly and fast. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to.
