Captain Sam's is located in the My Market convenience store. I ordered a combo of fried catfish and chicken wings with a side of macaroni salad. Really tasty the fish and chicken. Both were seasoned well and fried to perfection along with very crispy, lightly battered fries. All so good!

He says “ absolutely perfect catfish” What more do you need. Hot, fresh and made to order. Loved that the oil is fresh and doesn’t have that burnt taste as some restaurants do. Quick and courteous service. Will definitely be back! Thanks you!!

Food was delicious, visiting from out of town this the second time I ate here, customer service was excellent. Will be eating here again when I visit again. Picture does it no justice. The crunch was perfect fish and chicken cooked extremely nice.

This review is long over due because I never make it out of the parking lot with my food and can never remember to get a 📸 before I dig in it's that GOOD! This spot is a gem, great customer service to start with 😌 The flavor on the chicken (that's also fried to perfection by the way) is out of this world! I don't know what's in the seasoning but it definitely keeps me coming back and I'm here to stay!! If you've never been here, you don't know what you're missing! Stop by, and you'll keep coming back I promise!

I ordered via UberEats so i cant speak on the service or atmosphere. But i will say as a Chicago native and also a woman who came from living in the south for the past 12 years… this is close enough. The owners have to be from Chicago, because this mimics the classic J&J fish ans Chicken. I would have liked my fish fried a bit harder, but it could have softened in transport. It was great and I will definitely order again when im wanting some comfort food. ❤️❤️

I was not Expecting the fries being better than the chicken..the fries were seasoned well ,chicken was tender but need more seasoning..

To Capitan Sam It's good to see that you check your reviews. I give you 3 stars today because when I came in there were flies flying around in you kitchen and your workers were just to compatible working around them. I think you can do better controlling critters. This fish is good just knowing g what I saw makes it scary please correct it.

And it would happen on a day that I ordered delivery service, something I normally don’t do. Why would your restaurant not seal the bag and have it looking like this for delivery? One of the boxes of food open and everything. You could’ve at least put a knot in the bag, I can tell there wasn’t even an attempt to tie the bag closed SMH.

They need to use different containers for deliveries. EVERY time I order delivery and open the box there is ALWAYS condensation inside the box thus making the fried food not so fried anymore. I've LITERALLY poured water from the bottom of the box. The gizzard coating turned back into batter. Had to throw them in the air fryer. Those glossed boxes RETAIN MOISTURE. Horrible for fried food delivery.

I saw someone recommend this place in a facebook group so I figured I’d give it a try. But like most of the food in SD, this was LACKING. I ordered fried whiting and fried scallops. They both came with fries. The price? $30 and it was absolutely NOT worth $30. 2 pieces of fish and fries… maybe 7 scallops I think. Not that I eat a lot but anyway, the food itself was not good. Well except the fries. They were the best part of the meal. Seasoned and fried right. I’m not even a fry person honestly. But the whiting just didn’t taste good and the texture was almost like rubber but not really idk. It was off. The scallops were fried horribly. The breading was literally falling off the scallop itself because it was so soft. Scallops weren’t good either. Obviously I won’t be eating here again. Sorry.
