My favorite mariscos spot in San Diego! I always order the Acapulco pulpo, not pictured. The octopus is one of the softest octopus I've ever had. Honestly, I've never eaten anything that I haven't enjoyed fully. Also, don't sleep on their aguas frescas also super good.

I ordered the seafood soup. It had lots of scallops and large chunks of fish. Definitely would recommend the place as well as the dish.

Is my first time here but have good experience soo delicious mojarra 100 % recomendable

Came by on my visit to San Diego because I love places with history. I can see why it’s been around for 25 years now. Everything was delicious and had great taste to it. The soup, the coctel, and the cucarachas were delicious. Everyone was super friendly and attentive during the service. 100% would recommend coming by if you’re in the area.

This place is delicious the service is great the lady comes and checks on you but she doesn’t get annoying they either have a band playing or the jewel pods either one is very lovely decorated it’s very cool inside as I am in overheated the prices are a little high but you kind of get what you pay for us it’s OK I am I’ve been coming here for years and I still plan on going back the seafood is always cooked thoroughly and they have just about anything you could imagine for a Mexican restaurant that’s non-greasy

Good and fast service. I had the shrimp and octopus cocktail and it was delicious! There are TV's to watch sports. The waitresses are very nice and efficient.

I've been looking for a regular mariscos restaurant since I just moved here. Not too bad of prices, decent portions. Got two orders of fish ceviche and a shrimp and octopus cocktail. Delicious civic he, and once I doctored up my cocktail it was great! Going again less than a week later! Only complaint, came in to order to go, told her it was my first time. She wasn't very attentive. Just kind of took my order and walked away not to be heard of again until my food came out. Wish I would have been offered a glass of water while I waited the 15 minutes, or offered a time range for the food or seat while I waited. Pretty basic stuff if you've ever served in a friendly restaurant. Not rude, just not very friendly considering that's HER JOB lol. Overall happy though! Calling to go orders ahead of time from now on! Enjoy!

They give large portions and for seafood it is inexpensive. A few things that i didnt like were the fact that sodas are given in a can. They do bring you a cup with ice for the soda, but no refills. The other thing I didn't like was that the juke box is super loud, it didn't help that we were right next to it but even so it was loud. We couldn't carry a conversation because it was so hard to hear. The wait staff is ok. They seem to know a lot of the people that go to eat there. I enjoyed the chips and salsa they give for free. Food was good, I have nothing to complain about it.

Great food and great service, but they play there music a little loud and Mariachis make it hard to have a conversation without yelling. Great place for a Mexican style party but I think it needs a bar to give it look and feel of a party spot.

A City Heights favorite I like to recommend to friends who enjoy Mexican seafood. Extensive menu is a bit pricey but the portions are huge. Great for a late lunch and then take a siesta.

Everything was very well made. Prices are on the higher end averaging $24 a plate. But you do get large portions. It is a Mexican Sea food restaurant with a taco shop vibe. There is a variety to choose from including chicken and a kids menu. They do play music extremely loud so conversations at the table were impossible. They are spacious so no waiting when we went and they do have a small parking lot next to the building. Overall a good place to eat 😊

Shrimps we're 24 dollars and they were like Doug.

This place is good and it does have an authentic style of food preparation. The Ceviche is really good and it made in lime juice like it's supposed to. The only thing I don't enjoy is loud music the jukebox plays loud music to loud for comfort. Also a bit over priced.

Where to start, food was definitely made fresh, nothing I ordered tasted bad, food was pretty delicious Unfortunately, all of that was clouded by horrible service Waitress took our order, 10 mins go by and she brings out our drinks and some chips and salsa, after that she disappears and doesnt make an appereance until she brings out our food after that it just went downhill. We get our food and she walks away doesn't even offer drink refills or if we needed anything else... once we finally get her attention she takes another 10 minutes to get out refills and a sliced whole avacado.... mind you the restaurant was only occupied by 3 tables 2 were couples, 1 was a 6 person group and 2 waitresses on staff plus a hostess... Other than that, if you don't mind the wait overall its pretty decent. I would go back but I'm hesitant. Can't stand horrible customer service.

The place looks very nice. A lot of decor and even a fiahtank full of goldfish. The food was alright I got the new York steak, had asked for it well done, but it had arrived pink and bloody to me. Everything else was good, but next time I'll ask for it overcooked! (no picture of my steak)

Kids Menu Pretty underwhelming options Ordered breaded shrimp and fries, it was two shrimps with a LOT of fries that were not good and not warm. From my experience with other restaurant's kids menu pretty underwhelming. Understandable since the place feels more catered to adults. The food I ordered had good flavoring to it. I ordered shrimp though and to my personal taste, I did not enjoy the shrimp not being deveined. I could feel the texture of the shrimp's digestive tract as I ate it, it felt sandy and I could not finish it. The drinks were not really good at all. As someone else mentioned, they were bitter and felt watered down. Not the agua fresca refreshing feeling one should get at all. The prices were normal of any Mariscos place averaging 20$ per plate. But because of the shrimp not being deveined and the drinks being bad I wouldn't be prone to coming back. The waitress was pretty kind seemed a bit short tempered at times, which could also be a bit understandable. Since the music was so loud she didn't hear what I had asked so she asked me in a bit annoyed tone to just order. I might be nitpicking there though but it was worth mentioning. They took a bit of time taking our orders and getting the stuff out too. Which again could be overlooked if it came with a better food experience. Overall not a favorite place by far, but passable in last minute situation.

A good looking restaurant with very expensive food. It was ok food. I will never return or recommend.

I took my family for dinner last night and over all the experiences was ok in till we pay , the waitress tell us that since we were paying whit card a 3% extra charge was added to the bill , our bill was about $250 and I really don't get why , I think is an abuse by the owner , so be careful if you are thinking to go eat there ,

Do not recommend the agua Chile was $29 for a plate and chips, it came raw and with no sauce, and it had no spice at all. I never write reviews pero no recomiendo que como aquí.

To whom this may concern buyer beware .I use to love this place until the cashier's got on scandalous behavior.went in on the 17th of November for a over priced shrimp cocktail of 17.00$..payed by my debit card.To discover and, find out next day into two days later 3,000+dollars was withdrawn from my account .the lady had my atm for to long aswell as others.please be safe pay cash here.my bank account was withdrawn in a span of 2days at 3 different atms in San diego.this business will be under investigation thru my bank because this establishment was only place I used my debit card .it's so unfortunate and sad you have to rip off your own customers who give u honest business.especially in time if covid pandemic .Shame on your cashier and business. Customers seriously beware .this is a red flag situation...A over priced shrimp cocktail shadey cashier tendencies an 3,000+ dollars missing from my account hours later!!!! The shrimp cocktail was not worth all the trouble they gave me. .the elderly mexican lady should be fired and I should receive a lifetime of free food here..for dishonest fradulant workers handling cash ...they lost there 10 stars with me . Food had no taste, food was no good BAD COOK needs to be FIRED

I ordered a basic seafood cocktail and after 35 minutes of waiting I had to ask the server about it and it took them 10 more minutes to bring to my table, once there the coctail arrived it was runny almost like soup with no flavor whatsoever, I could not eat it. I had to pay almost 50 for a meal that I did NOT eat, also the servers seem to not pay any attention to yoy unless you cine in a large group. Never coming back to this, extremely dissapointed and would never recommend.

Food is mediocre and in my opinion overpriced for what you get in return... do yourself a favor and go somewhere close to the border where they have better quality and prices. As far as customer service it's no different, the owner is unprofessional as well.

Food was not worth the price, not by a long shot. And don’t even bother going here if you aren’t Latino. They were only rude and dismissive to us it seems. Plenty of better mariscos out there with higher quality food AND friendlier staff.

Horrible place. Got there and all of the tables were dirty. Food took forever. They forgot to place one of the food orders for our table. The waitress didnt even place it till everyone was done with their food. Bathroom was filthy. The waitresses were sitting down drinking beer. Crappy service, if you can overlook all of that then by all means go but the food wasnt anything special. At least not worth the crap of the service.

Service was not up to par, they make the waitresses wear skimpy uniforms, horchata was EXTREMELY watered down and overpriced. Do not waste your time and money here there are plenty of awesome mexican restaurants in San Diego and this is not one of them!

I was not willing to pay that much for the ceviche, but Instead of leaving I decided to give it a chance and ordered some fish tacos. Unfortunately the fish tacos had so much breading it was like eating a corndog taco for $3.25 each. As far as service once seated: they took quite some time to take our order and once they did I was able to order the fish tacos but wasn't given enough time to order drinks she kind of just walked away. They did bring us some yummy chips and salsa which was nice. And at the end of the meal they never brought our check. They also played loud music which mostly just irritated me, well I was trying to get my fat girl on. Quite honestly it was a terrible experience and I will not be returning.
