One word, AMAZING BBQ! We had brisket from Phil's last week and it wasn't even edible. The brisket here is absolutely amazing. The RIBS! Amazing. Make sure you ask for extra sauce, you won't regret it. This was our first time here and we will definitely be back. You can eat in, but parking can be a challenge, but don't let that discourage you, you MUST try this BBQ. I loved the mac and cheese and the collards, although I think the collards needed a little more seasoning. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but they were extremely busy so it was hard to ask questions. But....we will be back!

Called Bowlegged BBQ about brisket for our Camping World Christmas party. I spoke with Maria, what a wonderful woman, had me in stitches, what a wonderful good hearted person! We ordered the brisket for our party, brisket was ready right on time. The atmosphere at the restaurant was amazing, I loved all the memorabilia! The brisket turned out to be AMAZING. Everyone at our company party loved the brisket!! We will definitely be going back to Bowlegged BBQ! Thank you Maria and staff!!

The atmosphere here is not merely casual, but community-centered. The service shows this, too, and it’s a wonderful and relaxed place to enjoy a meal. They played Oldies and 90s R&B while we ate outside under an umbrella with a nice breeze. Everything we tried was delicious: brisket (under the ribs), beef hot links, ribs, baked beans, collard greens, cornbread, and lemon cake. (We had Coke and root beer to drink.) This is East Texas style BBQ, and it was my first time having it. I will happily come back for more and if I am travelling I will happily try more Texas BBQ.

Oh my gosh, this barbecue place was incredible—easily one of the best I’ve ever been to! Deanna at the front was super friendly and helpful. I definitely ordered way too much food, but no regrets… leftovers for days! Everything was amazing: the tri-tip, brisket, ribs, mac & cheese, candied yams, and even the catfish—all perfection. I’ll definitely be back!

Hello my wife and I ordered while on vacation through door dash.. we had the 3pc chicken greens and Mac n cheese and yams all were bomb had an amazing flavor a little bite nothing was overpowering .greens didn't have meat in them and the yams did not have marshmallow on top. 10 of 10. Highly recommend great 1st meal to start our vacation EXCELLENT FOOD.

You get great food and a good experience. The only thing that was a little difficult was the outdoor smoking cigars/cigarettes while eating, especially with a kid. Overall, though, the staff were respectful, the food was fire, and I will be coming back again. 🔥

I found this place thru Darius Williams, i ordered the sampler plate ribs, rib tips, brisket, omg 5 out 5! The meat was tender, smokey, overall the best bar b que! I had greens and macaroni and cheese both 5 out 5! I also ordered the beans and cole slaw and lemon cake! 5 out 5 again! Dont walk run to this place!

Bowlegged has the backyard get together vibe . You got good ol’ school music the tables are spread out then you got like picnic table style that are closer but covered with a canopy to protect from the elements . Parking is a bit difficult but if you don’t mind walking a bit then you’ll be alright. I ordered the bowlegged sandwich it’s like a 6 in. With a hot link that’s covered with brisket in bowlegged sauce onion and pickles 🤤🤤 and a kool aid diabetes in a cup 😋😋I was not disappointed at all, I will be getting this again. My husband ordered the 3 meats meal he got the ribs, brisket and tri tips with yams and greens. Brisket dry , I did taste his brisket and the difference was the sauce on my brisket which softened it up as to his with no sauce . tri tip rough and ribs delicious. Yams very good and greens good. My husband’s from the south and says it’s about the pit master cooking technique as to a chef in his kitchen.

Its the spot for sure. Make yourself comfortable and make some friends. Food is delicious, they'll find you on the patio or just go double check your order. Plentiful helpings and the flavor you're looking for. Yams on point. Ask for extra bbq sauce.

I was looking for some soul food and discovered Bowlegged BBQ via Google. The location is on a corner lot. They do not have parking, it is street parking only off a very busy street. I ordered a side of yams, collard greens, and baked beans. I just wanted some veggie sides and it was quite expensive. $8.22 for a small side x 3 cost me $27 with tax. That said, my food was very hot and fresh and it was really good. Despite the lack of parking and the high cost, the food was exceptional. I would return, but not as often as I would like due to the cost of the food alone.

A Blk Review 👀: I got the brisket sandwich. The sandwich on its own it was great I like the brisket needed a bit more sauce so make sure you get extra. Now the sides, the mac and cheese was so disappointing like I had a taste for some mac and cheese and some baked beans on the side and I wanted to let them touch. Definitely a let down! Nasty, taste like too much chicken bouillon or I'm not sure I didn't like it though and the color was a little off too Orange. The baked beans were okay, sweet, it almost hit but kind of tasted like bushes from the can with no added seasoning. It was my first time I was a little disappointed because it smells great from the outside. Now the service everyone spoke everyone smiled auntie was going off at the cash register felt like home. The entrance has like a living room feel a little table you could see people playing spades at a patio area is a very cozy space and everything just feels black real black feels like childhood nostalgia. I'm going to go back and try the ribs and the tri-tip and the other side definitely skipping the mac and cheese.

This was the worst bbq I ever had. Where do I start. The rib tips were tough and lacked seasoning. I tasted smoke and lighter fluid. The hot link was barely cooked. The fish was greasy and underwhelming. The best thing was the baked beans. The kool-aid will put you in a diabetic coma. I wasted $75 dollars and would not recommend this place to anyone. They need better customer service as well. If you think this place is good, you must not know good bbq. Highly disappointed ☹️

BBQ was just “ok”. Unfortunately, the brisket was tough and nearly impossible to cut and the chicken was a bit too pink for my taste. My family loved the yams but the BIGGEST issue was the service. While others were being served at their tables, I felt excluded by having to walk inside twice for our food and drinks. The lady at the register seemed unwelcoming and unfair to us, which ruined the "homey" vibe that the good music tried to create. Between the steep prices for their portions, poor service, and difficult parking, I won't recommend this place to others.
