Food and service were incredible! I'll be back again. The owner of the truck helped me decide what to order as a guest. The tables outside the truck needed a little love, yet I'm not sure that has anything to do with the owners of the truck. FANTASTIC overall experience. Truly impressive, I couldn't believe it was made in a truck.

I ordered two "mar y tierra enchilados" tacos. By far, some of the best tacos I've had in my life. Each one comes exquisitely reported and full of flavor. Two was enough for me. They're a bit pricey, but once you see and try them, you'll understand why.

These guys have the best taco in San Diego. I love your tacos especially the shrimp butter is amazing the spices are very good. I would definitely recommend him for any taco you want you would never regret it so so good

First time here & boy it was great. I had spicy shirmp taco & ceveche tostda. Wife had asada taco & asada fries. And my son had coctel campechano. It was all great food. I wish i had food truck like this were i live, just north of L.A. about 1.5 hrs. I dont think you can go wrong by ordering anything bad if you like sea food.we had differnt tacos and it was amazing. Just order want you like, you'll be amazed by taste.

Might be the best battered/fried fish or shrimp tacos you can get in all of San Diego. Personally, having tried various things on their menu, they do fish/shrimp tacos best. The other things are good, but too expensive and not as satisfying as their tried and true fried fish/fried shrimp tacos. If I were to rate the food, the fried fish/shrimp tacos were an 11/10 and the rest of the menu averaged a 6.5/10. To add to this, I've gone to several other popular fish taco trucks and restaurants since coming here. Really made me realize just how special Mariscos Mi Gusto Es was. Almost guaranteed they'll make your top 3 fish taco spots.

Amazing! This is the place! We had tostadas de ceviche, tostadas de pescado, vaso de campechana, surf & turf fries, tacos de camaron, tacos de pescado and tacos de asada, all tasted delicious and fresh. Highly recommend it. Food truck is in a clean parking lot and has some cement style benches and tables for eating.

The best tacos I've ever had. This will be my go-to when I have people visiting. The fish is so buttery smooth with amazing flavor. The steak was just as well seasoned. The consume was amazing, especially when it's cold outside. It can take some time to get your order but it's so worth the wait!

Don’t be fooled by the informal surroundings. The fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and ceviche are to die for here. The freshness of the seafood, tanginess from the red onions, and the handmade authenticity are what stand out for me. We’ll always seek this out whenever we’re in town.

This is a Gem! We are from Riverside! We’re out in Spring Valley for a church conference, I was tired of tacos, so we searched seafood and this spot popped up. It’s a food truck, but the food which is prepped and made to the order is very delicious and packs a lot of flavor. We ordered The Aguachiles, Ceviche Mixta, tacos de pescado, tacos de camarón, Agua chiles de mango, and cóctel de camarones. These alone were more than enough to feed 8 ppl. My kids ordered an asada quesadilla, let me tell you, this asada unlike any other we’ve had in Chula Vista, is very well seasoned and flavorful. Definitely will visit again!

Every item is prepared fresh and daily. They offer everything from costa which is Marlin, shrimp and bacon, Spicy shrimp taco, to the garlic octopus taco. If you prefer meat the do have great carne asada! If you are in the area stop by and give it a try, you’ll love it.

The lady that takes orders is also so sweet and very friendly if you need help deciding what to order. They have tables out front to “dine in” outside or you could also do takeout. Will definitely be coming back! Edit: we have gone back multiple times since this and I feel like they overcharge some people and charge less for others. Although the food is delicious I think it’s a bit expensive for what it is.

This is a hidden gem in east San Diego. This is top amongst the best food trucks in town. Located off Home Ave. Right off the 805 freeway do not miss out on the opportunity to enjoy these tacos. They are fresh, very fast, hot, and Delicious. All of variety of tacos to choose from.... Cone and enjoy you will not be sorry!!

You can't miss it, they have many large signs at the entrance. ~ FOOD ~ Grilled and Fried fish tacos: Absolutely incredible. They are loaded with cabbage, avocado, pico de gallo, and crema. Fish was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Crispy outside and moist soft inside. Fish was large too! 2 fish tacos are a good amount for one person. Birria con queso: It was worth a try and pretty good! Very cheesy and tender beef. Outside was kind of chewy and hard to eat. Carne Asada Fries: Tender meat and nicely seasoned. They don't put guacamole on, but they have chunks of avocado instead. Fries were crispy. Very large portion. ~ SERVICE ~ Cooks here are SO friendly! For only having 2 cooks and many customers, they get through the line of people quickly.

Food tasted great, but beware of ordering tacos on flour tortillas instead of the default corn ones. Apparently they charge significantly more per taco (like $2-5 more) possibly because they're bigger tacos, but this is not stated on the menu and was undisclosed before charging my credit card so I got hit with a big unexpected lunch bill. I've never been charged more anywhere else in San Diego for flour tortillas and didn't even think to ask. I later asked for a receipt but it was handwritten and difficult to read, plus the taxes were calculated wrong and I was definitely overcharged. My friend's takeout order was missing a taco. They were nice enough to give us some warm soup while waiting for a long time for the food in the cold rain.

Here is a candid accurate review. The real star of all the food is their choice of cheese. It's a white salty and zesty cheese that works really well. Most of the other ingredients are pretty standard though done well. What isn't done well is literally every time I've gone here they get the order wrong. And not just a little bit wrong but give me completely different food which are usually much more expensive than what I ordered. The price is about 20% more than other Mexican places with most food being about $15 and bottles of soda being $4. Overall it's good but the price and constant wrong orders make this place worth skipping.

The food was outstanding, and the service was great, but it was one minor thing.. prices are just too high. Come on, guys. We know the economy is in the crapper, but you guys can do better than that. Help more people to go to the place and enjoy your tasty and delicious food.

Good food but the pricing made no sense. Ordered 3 tacos that should have been $12 and the cashier said they would be. But then when he gave me the receipt the total was $18. My friend was charged $80 for 8 tacos and 2 drinks. Seemed very shady. Will not be going back.

I don't like writing reviews that aren't 4-5 stars, but I just wanted to give anyone else a heads up if you go here. I came here with my girlfriend (who's Mexican) and ordered 2 fish tacos, 2 shrimps tacos, one order of fish ceviche, and one water. I think after tax it was like $34-$37 (I don't remember exactly because they didn't give a receipt) . So I think they increased their prices and didn't change it on the menu. That's the only gripe I have tbh, if you tell me how much it is I will pay It, but not knowing kinda messed up the experience for me. The total for the tacos if the menu was right should have been $14, I'm guessing the fish ceviche is $10, and the one water $2. So it should've been around $26. Besides that they seemed like nice people and the food was pretty good. I go to another food truck in Chula Vista (Eastlake), and it is about 75% the price of this food truck. Obviously the price isn't everything, but taking into account portion sizes, taste/ quality, and the menu prices being wrong I don't think I would go out of my way to come here again. However, if you are in the area and are craving Mexican seafood this place will definitely satisfy you're cravings. Food (taste/quality): 4 out of 5 Portion sizes: 3.8 out of 5 Service: 4 out 5 Price: 3 out of 5 Overall: I would give them a 3.5 out of 5, but you can't do half stars on here ***UPDATE I WAS CHARGED OVER $42 FOR 4 TACOS, I ORDER OF FISH CEVICHE, AND A BOTTLE OF WATER

80/20% ratio on the seafood and veggies. Not worth it

This place is a straight rip. Make sure you ask the price before you pay. It's a $4 surcharge to use card/electronic payment. Oh, you want tostada's with ur shrimp cóctel, that's an extra $4. I'm surprised they're not charging for parking!.This place is goin down hill fast. Food and flavor is not there like it was couple years back. I would totally skip this truck, and just go to Northgate and get there premade mariscos. Listen to that inner voice of doubt, and don't stop here. It's complete trash..

20 dollars for 2 ceviche tostadas and they're shady and not transparent about their prices beware you will get ripped off and over charged the foods okay but not great tacos are good but might as well go to a nice restaurant
