Opinions de CAVA San Diego
Very nice place to eat. Really good tasting
Solid place for lunch and dinner. Sometimes there can be solid lines going out the door but staff are quick to work through it so don’t stress if you see a crowd. Food here is consistent and proves to be a nice “healthy” alternative to most “fast food” places. Atmosphere is nice and ambient, especially at night and parking can be a task occasionally, but you’ll most likely find a spot within 5 min of arrival. Would certainly recommend this spot.
My husband and I were walking around Mission Valley in San Diego. Being from Oregon, it was very hot to us. Actually 83 degrees (Oregon was more like 40). We try to support CAVA when we are near one, being shareholders. Being older our feet hurt so bad, we were overheated and we really just wanted to stop in and get something to drink. The line was HUGE. I knew there was no way we could stand in the line. We were both over heated. So we sat down. An employee walked up to us and asked if we had a "togo" order. I told her no, we were in pain and hoping to get something to drink but the line was really long. She said she could help us. She gave us two cups and said don't worry about it. Thank you CAVA for supporting us. Keep makin the good food.
I really like this Cava location. Even when it’s packed, they keep things moving and stay on top of it. The food’s always been consistent every time I’ve gone. I’ve had different experiences at other locations… cold food, overcooked items, or waiting for a new batch, but this spot has been solid. Ben helped me out during my last visit and was awesome, friendly, and efficient. Great service overall.
The food was way better than expected. I got the Chicken bowl. The greens of the food was fresh. Chicken was flavorful. Would definitely go back. A healthy way of eating.
The food is amazing here. Jerrissa made my bowl and she was so nice and helpful. I would eat here every day if I was closer. Everything tasted fresh. Just enough spice. The blueberry lemonade is really good. They have a good selection. Worth the visit.
Great food. Awesome if you are a weightlifter looking to maximize your aesthetics. The food quality is unmatched. Make CAVA your default Chipotle or QDOBA from now on. My suggestion
Although the line was long, it was for good reason. Cava Mission Valley and Des and his crew did an excellent job of providing excellent service without risking the highest of quality. He even heard me express how the recently arrived chicken from the kitchen looked fire, he pulled back my bowl and asked me if I wanted some in my bowl. Top notch client service. Congrats to this Cava location.
Holy Crap! This place is so good! I went there for an early lunch and returned for dinner. After discovering this place, I've returned several times and plan to continue going there. The food is so flavorful. The people working there are very courteous and helpful, with great recommendations. Don't be an idiot! Try this place if you haven't. You won't regret it!
I have fallen in love with this place! I literally come about once a week at this point. Service is always quick and efficient and the food is delicious! I’m a saucy type of girl and I loveee how many options they have here. Their lemonade is also some of the best I’ve had in a while. It is a little pricey for the bowl but ingredients all taste fresh and are worth it! Definitely recommend if you haven’t tried it before!
Truly, the best Cava in San Diego. I come here about once a week and get the avocado bowl sometimes, chicken sometimes lamb. It’s always flavorful and good. In the early days, they did run out of a lot of ingredients. That was a bit frustrating. However, now it seems like they have the inventory under control with the projections of orders they would do in the week or however the ordering intervals/deliveries are done. So it doesn’t seem like they run out of ingredients often here lately.
Even when they're packed, the staff goes above and beyond—CAVA never disappoints! My wife and I come here regularly, and it’s always a great experience! No matter how busy they get, the servers do their best to make sure you leave happy. The staff is fast, friendly, and patient, even when there’s a line out the door. We love customizing our bowls, and our go-to is harissa honey chicken, roasted veggies, hummus, roasted eggplant, and all the toppings - except for feta, olives, broccoli, and pickles—a flavor explosion every time! I always go for the balsamic date vinaigrette, while my wife swears by the yogurt dill dressing, which ties everything together perfectly. Plus, the portion sizes are generous, and the price is super reasonable—especially with their military discount, which we really appreciate. CAVA has become our favorite spot for fresh, bold Mediterranean flavors. Whether it’s a quick lunch or date night, we always leave satisfied. Highly recommend!
I had a fantastic experience at CAVA! The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The variety of Mediterranean dishes is great, and there are plenty of options to cater to different preferences. I especially loved the option to create my own bowl—the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. The staff was friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain the menu to me. The atmosphere is modern and inviting. Definitely a place I will visit again soon! Highly recommend!
I come in here all the time for a post workout meal! I love their protein options, love the variety of delicious and flavorful toppings, and all the employees I’ve interacted with here are such gems - I always enjoy my stops here! I paid for an extra scoop of their grilled chicken for some extra protein, and it’s absolutely worth it. And I pretty much get every topping, along with their yogurt dill dressing and feta cheese. Amazing

Excellent food, a lot better than chipotle but cost more. The least expensive bowl is $14 and goes up from there. I recommend avoiding going on a weekend otherwise the line is out the door and can take 20 minutes to get food.
The staff is friendly and kind, they take care of you, however the food preparation could improve. Especially around the some of the items , the lentils are very tough and crunchy, they are either under cooked or extremely dried out and burnt
I love cava. The pita chips, their salad/rice bowls are just divine. If you crave for healthy food but don't want to sacrifice the taste, cava is a must. I love how you can add whatever sauces you …

After long drive from Los Angeles was looking forward to a nice mediterranean salad for dinner before going to hotel. They were out of feta @7pm and they close at 10. Good food but disappointed
So this review is an observation of how management treats and talks to their staff. Now I'm guessing this lady was the manger I think I saw Lisa on her name badge but I could be wrong. She was the only older white lady with a yellow headband working. Anyway on 12/31/25 around 6:15pm. I came in to get some dinner and saw everyone was working hard including "Lisa" but the way she was speaking to her team was extremely rude and uncalled for. The first employee I heard her speaking to was cooking and cutting up food she told him he needed to be doing some other tasks and he responded that he could do it after he was done working on his current tasks which he listed off to her. She then tried to reprimand him in front of the line of people. Then while another employee was making my bowl I asked for extra rice. "Lisa" walks up and sees my bowl and begins to make a to-go order bowl. She then says "this is what a scoop of rice looks like" to the employee making my bowl. I then spoke up and said I asked her for extra. She the says "I know" dismissively to me as she walked away. My hopes is that someone can send her to some kind of training on how to be proper leadership and learn how to effectively communicate with her team. At the end of the day we are all human and have our days but as management you are held to a different level. Respect is not given just because of your title its earned.
I love Cava but this location is not it. \n\nI have visited here about 4 times? Maybe 5? And I have never, not once, received a full bowl. Every other location gives me a full bowl, but this one alwa…

After eating only a few bites of my meal, I became sick almost immediately. The food was inedible, and I ultimately had to throw the entire meal away. When I asked for a refund, George—who identified himself as being in charge and who also prepared my food—refused. He watched me dispose of the meal despite it being nearly untouched. This was my first time visiting this location. Unfortunately, the combination of food quality and customer service made it clear I would not be returning. I was also disappointed by the lack of professionalism displayed, as George appeared disengaged and uninterested in resolving the issue. Since the food and service were both unacceptable, returning for a replacement was not a reasonable option. I am requesting a refund for the meal and am prepared to escalate this matter to corporate and/or my bank if necessary. Ticket ID: AC2JXNEYACQ5 1/11/26 #75 8:00:25PM $17.67
Careful ordering on DoorDash- was excited to eat my food and come to find two of my sauces and free pita were not in the bag. For the costly price I paid I expect to receive everything I ordered. It was on the receipt as well listed. Also no utensils or napkins. Please get your DoorDash orders correct.
I’ve been coming to this CAVA off and on since it opened years ago. I always stop because of their abhorrent customer service but come back because I genuinely do love the food— I’ve had it in multiple cities and it’s always good but this location must have terrible training or could use a better hiring system because their employees are always rude (even in the parking lot wearing their shirts!!) and unwelcoming. Today I noticed the brown rice was in clumps and dry so I said “is there any more brown rice coming out? I’m happy to wait.” The lady assembling my bowl asked her coworker, who looked at the rice, then me, and said to her coworker, “I’m not making any” and walked away. The lady assembling my bowl said “sorry no.” I ask for white rice and she gives me a small dash of rice on top of my greens. I ask if she can put more rice and she huffs, scoops more in, THEN says “it’s $1.70” as she pushes my bowl away and speaks to the person behind me. As I continue down the line, the employees just seem pissed and I don’t know why. At the register, they try to charge me for the extra rice, I share what happened and she doesn’t argue with me, which I appreciate but she is also pissed and put my food in any which way. I planned to eat there today, I ended up leaving instead. And unfortunately after too many instances like this, from pissed employees, to terrible customer service, stale/old food, and cooks smoking outside in their aprons, I’m done with this location. Consistency over years tells me it’s a structural issue that isn’t being addressed and I don’t want to be treated like this anymore as a customer. I really hope they improve.
