Opinions de Firefly at the Dana Mission Bay San Diego
Probably the best value for a hotel and restaurant in San Diego. Firefly is connected to the Dana hotel. Great restaurant at a great hotel. I highly recommend the breakfast buffet. It is all you can eat for 22 dollars. They have an omelet station as well as a full buffet. The food quality is amazing. They also have a full bar serving refreshments throughout the evening. The staff is kind and the location is top notch. 10 out of 10, I recommend!
This restaurant has been one of my favorites to eat at in Mission Bay for almost 10 years. It has some of the best views, delicious food and incredible staff! The new shrimp dish and new corn appetizer are amazing! It is extremely reasonably priced and they always have some kind of cool happy hour or daily drink special. And the kids love it!
I am not normally one to go five stars for a hotel restaurant but we had three wonderful meals here with fantastic service on a recent stay at The Dana. One breakfast and two lunches, we enjoyed their lovely patio seating with our two pups. We had the same fantastic server each time, lucky for us, who always took great care of us. The breakfast buffet was solid, and they make a great vanilla latte. The lunch menu delivered some great eats, we tried the BLTA, Burger, Flatbread, Brussels, and Cobb salad. The cocktails are pretty on point as well. Honestly, if you never wanted to even leave this property you would not have to. We are having an event here in February of 2025 and if this is a sign/indication of the Food & Beverage situation here, then I am stoked.
Very spontaneous decision to go for a date night here and it was amazing!! Ambiance 10/10 Food 50/10 Service 100/10 Came in like 5m after the were taking the last guest for seating (but we'd called ahead and told them we'd be there) And the bartender was SUPER sweet about it! Accepted all order customizations (grilled chicken instead of breaded for the entree, asparagus instead of fried brussels sprouts, and that too with less oil) Brought out the food really quick - fresh and steamy In perfect order and perfect timing. We didn't have to wait for any course to come out Even came in and asked what dessert would e the would want so he could keep it aside for us since the kitchen was closing.. and then could bring it out in time We celebrated our anniversary there, and the bartender gave us the dessert and drink on the house!! What a great guy! Also very kind with moving the heaters around for us Coconut Shrimp - SO crispy and delicious! Perfect with a big squeeze of lemon juice. Or with that sweet chili sauce. Shrimp it were not too oily either even through they were fried. Grilled Chicken was perfectly cooked! Very soft and not at all dry on the inside. Asparagus on the side - tender and cooked well on the inside too. Not stringy or hard even though they were thick pieces. Gorgonzola Mashed potatoes - creamy and delicious! Mushroom Fettuccine - WHAT A BEAUTY! the Sauce was lovely - perfect garlic parmesan sauce with perfectly cooked pasta and mushrooms. Good portion size too. Loved it! Cheesecake was creamy and perfect! Didn't even need that blueberry compote on top! Strange Brew cocktail was very nice too! Good volume and generous portion size. Very refreshing!
Don't miss The Firefly! Over the course of our stay at The Dana, we enjoyed several mornings outside on their cozy patio having coffee and brunch with family and friends. You'll have a wonderful view of the Marina and pool as you sit on cushioned chairs under umbrellas. We were lucky to have been greeted by hummingbirds flitting about drinking nectar from the many Bird of Paradise plants surrounding the outdoor eatery. The service at The Firefly is excellent. I have stayed in many places from budget hotels to remote resorts and the Customer Service at The Firefly is remarkable and unexpected. We were remembered and greeted cordially each morning with a high level of professionalism and care. Never have I felt more welcome in a restaurant or lodging establishment than I did here. Brunch offerings include fresh, ripe fruit, smoked salmon, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, bread and other items. Omelettes and eggs are also made to order while you wait and special orders are made as requested. Coffee is fresh and hot.
We stayed at the Dana and enjoyed visiting the Firefly every day of our visit! The staff were so friendly! The happy hour drinks were a great price, so we made sure to visit then ;) We thoroughly enjoyed our drinks, and were able to take them back to our room. Every morning we stopped in for coffee, which was a bit pricey. However the quality of the espresso and the convenience made me overlook that. My friend and I shared the beet salad as a light snack and it was so good! Not overdressed, and the didn’t skimp on the beets. It was so good and definitely made our visit to San Diego much more pleasant.
Beautiful waitress with long, flowing black hair — I unfortunately forgot her name. We had dinner our first night there on Friday, January 30, and were seated outside the restaurant. It was our daughter’s 4th birthday, and when we mentioned it, she immediately showed genuine excitement and surprised her with a beautiful birthday dessert — ice cream with a cookie, sprinkles, and a candle. The attention to detail and care she showed really stood out. Both our kids were thrilled, and it created a memory our family will always remember. Every time we come back to visit and dine here, we’ll think of that moment. Also, everything we ordered was amazing — the fried fish, salads, and the kids’ meals were all excellent. Thank you for your warm personality and thoughtful service — we truly appreciate it.
Fantastic experience all the way around....even with 3 kids! The service was 100% and the food was delicious. Only thing I would change is that they offer breakfast room service instead of only lunch and dinner room service.
Very accommodating for guests at the Dana I appreciated the service to make me and my husband's honeymoon easy and memorable. I will definitely recommend firefly to family and friends. Thank you !
The chips and salsa were amazing! They are made fresh daily and you can taste it. Best chips and salsa I ever had. And I've had many LOL.
We had an awesome time celebrating our rehearsal dinner at FireFly Eatery & Bar. The manager, Juan was outstanding, professional and on top of everything. Our waiter, Omar was simply amazing; not only he was attentive to all the guests needs, he did a fantastic fire coffee show. Finally, the decore, food and ambiance were beyond our expectations. We have been here before and will continue celebrating here with Juan, Omar and the crew.
I was very impressed in there fish dish. Cooked properly plus had a nice spicy sauce on it. Most other places don't put any spicy sauces on there fish. Very bland. My wife Liked the chicken also. Would go back the this restaurant
Excellent Breakfast Buffet. Great selection of fruits and a new side every day - French toast, corned beef hash. Good make to order omlet bar. Comfortable outside dining. Did not try for lunch or dinner.
The breakfast buffet was $25, too expensive for what you get. The breakfast consists of tasteless eggs, sausage and potatoes from a frozen bag. Plus, poor customer service, no waitress offer me water after 10 minutes sitting down. No tip, I won't be coming back. Save your money, there are better places to eat breakfast around here.
This place is amazing! What made it more amazing was the customer service, they were spot on. We live in Las vegas and we eat out a lot so we know customer service when we see it. All the employees were so nice and we had more than one server coming to our table asking if everything was Ok. Our baby was given a complimentary muffin and apple juice. We ate there all 3 days because we liked the environment and food. The omelet makers were super friendly too and they were extra attentive. Everyone was. Plus one of the nights they had like music which was super cool and unexpected. The food was good we enjoyed our time in San diego and thank you for making it better.
Madelynn was awesome - San Diego local & highly recommend coming here for a vacation vibe, good food and great service.
All food ordered was amazing, from the lobster mac and cheese and clam chowder to the entrees. Kid friendly also
As soon as we walked in we were warmly welcomed by the manager Bobby 🙂 . He was authentically polite . See Fernando if you want an awesome omelet! He's the man ! We came here for our anniversary 7/7/07 (16 years) and what a pleasant surprise. Thanks Bobby and Fernando 🙂
The chicken and waffles were okay but looooved the Salmon and Coconut Rice with the Mango and Pineapple relish!!! For drinks my husband had a Paloma while I had the Blood Orange Margarita. I will come back for the margarita and the salmon for sure! Enrique the server was also really nice and professional! 👍👍
We eat Baja Fish Taco and Chicken Rice Bowl. Overall, the food was good. Service was amazing. Loved outdoor sitting next to pool. A few more options in maincourse can be added.
You do not need to be staying at the hotel to dine here, and the service is amazing! the people are so kind, chill vibes. it is amazing and i will be recommending this to anyone in the area. The food is THE BEST food i have EVER eaten. immaculate.
OMG. THE BEST TIME. MARISSA CORRECTED OUR ROOM AND IT WAS AMAZON..Frank got our room keys to me quick and to MAKE IT EVEN MIRE SPECIAL WE MEET MANNY @FIREFLY AND GECWAS AMAZING AND MADE ME & HUBBY ANNIVERSARY SO SPECIAL. WE TALED ABOUT EVERYTHING IN SECONDS. HE IS AWESOME And he kept a smile on me and hubby face
Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was! We're always disappointed by resort food options- but this location at the dana was great. Servers were so kind and attentive and food was yummy and had great portions
This is a great little spot in the Dana in Mission Bay, I was here with fam and wife for 3day walk and had the pleasure of having Aldo as our bartender for 2 nights. The service was awesome and drinks were awesome Aldo makes some bomb pain killers that made my wife and Aunts very happy.... highly recommend a stop by....
We had a medical emergency AMEN to a man knew it was serious. Boxed the meals discounted what was not drank. Thank you for a great man of faith.
Great seating, outside, service was great, food was also delightful, we are frequent visitors.
The food was in incredible! We ordered the calamari and shrimp as appetizer and it was on point, crisp and the sauces were delicious! I ordered the stake and it was cooked perfectly, best I’ve had in a long time. Great selection of wine and beer. Service was amazing, the server Gabriela is the best! Highly recommend going there!
Breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the made to order omelet! The service was fantastic. Bobby elevates the experience with the service he provides, always with a smile! We highly recommend the Firefly for their tasty buffet & great cocktails! The Bloody Mary is exceptional!
Came to San Diego to visit friends and stayed 3 nights at the Dana. Best part of the trip was the Firefly Restaurant on the property. Totally impressed with the service we received from Gabby when we dined (and drank) in the evening, and Bobby, morning manager in the breakfast area. They were top notch staff providing exceptional service, something you don’t always receive, or expect these days, from the service industries. And the food and drinks were all great . Will definitely plan to revisit this quality Eatery & Bar.
Dana hotel's restaurant and we had breakfast two days. Friendly service, quick hot fresh food. Lovely outdoor eating area.
Staying at the resort, not a lot of options in walking distance however it doesn't really matter. The food and service here have been top notch. It's our third time here and it has been nothing but consistent. Dillon our server has been professional and attentive. I would recommend trying this restaurant if you're in the area for sure
First time but not the last. Really nice outside eating area. Good food (could be better, but good), although the fries were excellent! You can walk around and see the bay too. Definitely recommended. Prices are aligned to other restaurants (i.e. Cheesecake Factory).
Bon restaurant de l'hôtel The Dana on Mission Bay.
We enjoyed the restaurant. We mostly sat outside and enjoyed the view and the meal. Bobby our server was great! We will be back next time we visit SD.
Food was great, our server Manny was really accommodating, and gave us lots of tips on where to visit on the rest of our trip in San Diego. Slightly expensive, but that might just be because I am used to UK prices
My husband and I stayed at the Dana and it was minutes away from our room. Exceptional ambiance when dining at the Firefly. Service was okay took longer than usual to get our drinks and meals. The prices were based on convenience nothing to extravagant. Additionally, i do recommend the breakfast buffet until 11am.
Nice indoor and outdoor seating areas, presentation of food is good, food tasted good, omelette bar was a big plus Cons: aside from omelette bar, breakfast was basic with little protein options, the server in charge of outdoor seating was more like yard duty that wanted to control any movement. Tip: don’t leave your food alone, seagulls are everywhere
We are here several times over the course of a 4-night visit. Service was very slow on the weekends, which I don’t think was the fault of the servers, I think it’s more that they are severely understaffed for crowds. During the week however, there was no wait and exceptional service hence the 3 stars. We mainly ate off the happy hour and breakfast buffet, but a couple of dishes really stood out. The breakfast buffet was $39.95 and I would equate it to a free buffet you might have at another restaurant chain- scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, pancakes, a chefs special which on this day was french toast, a fruit tray that was practically empty, and some pastries/muffins. There was a fresh omelet station, however, which was the standout feature. We tried several items on the happy hour menu including the burger, wedge salad, steak flatbread, and corn chowder. The flatbread and chowder were both delicious, flavorful, and brought us back to order them several times. Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the dinner menu.
I had breakfast at Firefly (inside the Dana Hotel) after walking over from the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, and it was a nice start to the day. I ordered an omelet and was initially served the wrong one, but the staff corrected it quickly without any fuss, which I appreciated. The coffee was excellent—really, really good. I chose to sit outside, and the relaxed outdoor setting added to the overall experience. It’s a great spot if you want a casual breakfast with good service and a pleasant ambiance.
We met anothet couple for dinner at Firefly. Omar was our waiter. He was clearly overworked as were all the servers. However, he did a great job keeping us with drinks and food. The quality was ok. We had the tortilla soup, southwest salad, hummus, shrimp tempura, chicken &wafgle and halibut. All were tasty but not exactly great.
Our service was top notch. There was a little hiccup with our food prepared properly. My medium rare steak was completely over cooked (well done to be precise). However, our server, Pearce, was fantastic in every way. The manager even took the time to insure our dining experience was a happy one. Service means more to us than quality & price at this point. Hopefully the chef will improve, but you won't find better service, character or atmosphere at a resort in the vicinity.
The Chilequiles Rojas was very good. The red sauce had just the right flavor profile. Service was was friendly, attentive and fast. Nice setting too as it is next to the marina.
Nice atmosphere, very good service, all things considered not terrible pricing. Food was marginal, and thats being a bit gracious. Hours are poor. It's more a spot to door dash and eat outside as the owners of the hotel are more interested in bait and switch rip off of terrible dilapidated rooms that cost as much as the far superior Hyatt across the street. So I guess if you're bored there and want to walk somewhere .. .... It could be worse??
"Mixed Feelings at Firefly Eatery and Bar, Mission Beach" Firefly Eatery and Bar in Mission Beach, San Diego, presented a dining experience that left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the ambiance, especially the outdoor seating, provided a delightful tropical atmosphere, complemented by elegant heat lamps that added both beauty and warmth on a chilly April evening. The setting near the pool, under thoughtful lighting, along with tasty chips and salsa, set a promising start to our meal. However, the culinary experience and service didn't quite match up to the ambiance. The food was decent but didn't stand out in terms of flavor. The fish tacos were somewhat bland, and while the seared salmon was enjoyable, the sweetness of the glaze overpowered the dish. Additionally, the coconut rice missed its mark on delivering the expected coconut essence. The highlight of our meal was the lobster mac and cheese, which lived up to expectations. Unfortunately, the lava cake dessert was a letdown, lacking the molten fudge center one anticipates, feeling more like a dressed-up brownie than a true lava cake. Service-wise, we found it to be on the slower side, with infrequent visits to our table, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Moreover, the presence of a hidden 5% surcharge, attributed to minimum wage increases for the food service industry, was an unwelcome surprise, especially considering the already high prices. The staff did demonstrate friendliness and were quite accommodating with our seating request, which was appreciated. Overall, while Firefly Eatery and Bar offers a fantastic atmosphere for a night out, particularly with its outdoor setting, the culinary offerings and service aspects leave room for improvement. For those seeking a beautiful location with decent food, it might still be worth a visit, but set your expectations accordingly.
Yes there is a buffet consisting of a small choice of cereal, eggs, sausage, bacon, muffins, pancakes, yogurt and slices of fruit. 1. The birds will be PECKING at the exposed muffins. 2. Eggs were a little burnt and dry. 3. Fruit was fresh and yummy 4. Yogurt was in a sealed small container. 5. The bread used for toast DID NOT fit inside the toaster. Therefore, you had to flip it 2 times to toast. 6. Waitstaff was exceptional! Johnny on the spot with drinks and refrills. 7. There was an omelet station but I never saw anyone manning it to place my order. 8. After someone leaves their table with food on it, the birds will land on the table and devour what is left behind. Hahaha
Pool and atmosphere brilliant, rooms very good. Bar/restaurant service very very slow 15mins wait minimum so far for both nights.
Food was good, but took a while for our server to place our order. Was a cool evening outside and asked for our server to turn on the outside heater. My family and I waited, but no one bothered to turn it on. We planned to move inside but was very crowded. Establishment has a variety of items on the children's menu.
We dined here as resort guests and the location is really peaceful and inviting. You get views of the marina and tabletop firepits at some of the seating areas. Our servers were always attentive and friendly, never had any issue with any kind of requests. Our first meal was dinner for our first night. Exhausted and hungry, we were looking forward to a comforting meal. My sister ordered their filet and loved the mashed potatoes and french green beans. My meal unfortunately was super salty on the baked salmon. My chicken tortilla soup lacked flavor and needed the salt that covered the salmon. Not ever a fan of sending things back, but our last meal here, our steaks were so overly cooked and over salted. Our server was kind enough to send them back to the chef. The wine selection was somewhat limited but prices were reasonable given it was resort dining. Breakfast was an option for convenience. The omelette station is great if you prefer a big breakfast and made to order. The breakfast buffet super star were the waffles and french toast. Both were really good and probably the best items besides the baked goods. Bacon and sausage had gotten tough from either sitting long or being overcooked. The oatmeal station could have used some fresh fruit besides brown sugar as toppings. Just as we experienced everywhere else, there is at least a 5% surcharge due to supply chain issues. Overall, if you are looking for convenience and simplicity, the food is decent but really just take in the view and ambience.
Been waiting for 30 minutes before a server approach and took our order, the napkins smells a lot i guess they washed it in oil or some sort.. We ordered the chicken and there's no seasoning on the chicken gross. Great view but dinner tastes horrible. Morning breakfast was great really impressive. Please improve dinner menus.
Food was okay but very expensive and the servers looked like they were begging us to leave! Ate here once and didn't go back. The outdoor seating was fun and it's very convenient if you're staying at the Dana, but otherwise don't waste a trip!
It was good…decent bar and nice ambiance, but the menu was sparse and the service kinda “meh”. I felt they were stingy on the cocktails for the price but on a positive note, the salsa was delicious! And the wagu burger was perfectly cooked.
The brunch buffet was adequate. Can't be far off with breakfast fare. The calamari was chewy, not tender. The breast of chicken was dry. Brussel Sprouts were also chewy. Not the best hotel food I've had.
The food is mediocre for the prices you pay. They also charge you a hefty service charge on top of that to pay their employees.
Had a reservation the first night of my wife and I's honeymoon, for an fireplace. When we checked in at the host stand, they never checked our reservation even though we mentioned one and placed us inside. Dinner food was good. Breakfast leaves a little to be desired; they have an omelet station but the last 2 days no one has been working it and we haven't been able to try it
I ordered a 34.00 short rib entree. I did NOT receive short ribs. It was a piece of roast and it was fine. The potatoes were supposed to be seasoned with rosemary and they had parsley but certainly no rosemary. My wine was comped after I asked about my meal. The manager was very nice.
dinner We arrived late and the only option was Firefly, so we went for it. The kids burgers were more than well done, and even four hungry kids did not finish them. The rest was okay-ish and we had enough expensive beer to flush the food. It was one of the expensive dinners throughout our three week California and Hawaii road trip. breakfast It was ok, especially if you get an omelette the way you want it. The waffles were barely eatable without soaking them in sirup for some time.
The food was tasty and the atmosphere was relaxing. The main gripe I have is our waitress took such a long time to check on us. I was planning on ordering a couple more drinks over time but we went nearly a half hour before she came over to us. Nobody attempted to refill our waters until I was in the middle of signing the check either.
We had breakfast and then brunch at this restaurant on back-to-back days. On the first day, the waiter served my water in a very obvious lipstick-smeared glass! See picture. Apparently they don’t thoroughly wash their glasses & the waiter didn’t even notice, even though he filled glass with hot water! Pitiful! These people clearly don’t care about quality customer service. The only reason we returned to this restaurant is because we were staying on the grounds, and there are virtually no other restaurants within walking distance. On the 2nd day, the eggs on the eggs Benedict were hard without any runny yolk, so I sent it back; they also serve it with thin lunchmeat ham instead of the traditional, and superior, Canadian bacon. The one melon on the fruit plate was not close to being ripe & waitress said it included blueberries and strawberries, but no blueberries in sight; I should have asked for a new melon and blueberries. Overall, very underwhelmed with this restaurant food quality, though the waitress on our 2nd day gave friendly quick service and was apologetic for the overcooked eggs. Of course, the blame for the eggs is squarely on the chef, so I did not penalize her tip. Any half-way decent chef should easily be able to tell by jiggling the plate that those were very much overcooked poached eggs, but he thought he’d get away with it. If a breakfast cook can’t do a proper poached egg, the quality of the food preparation is questionable. Certainly the large majority of their customers are staying on their grounds & very few people would drive to this mediocre restaurant. And on top of all that, prices are high. 😠
Very small menu, but that is to be expected since it’s at a hotel. However it is false advertising because I paid $5 for “Stewart's OG Classic Root Beer” for them to only bring out a A&W in a can? Yet it was more expensive then the other coke cans? And the chocolate chip cookie said “cookies” yet only one came out. I wish they had more options that didn’t include meat. The staff was amazing though and super kind, just wish the menu was better explained
First the good. The staff is super. Kind, fast, and helpful. The food on the other hand is bland and uninspired. For the price, forget it. Their anchovy cesar is somehow made with no anchovies on property. (It is a bottled dressing). I do understand the omlets are brilliant though, so stick with those of you go. Otherwise, mission beach is a mile away, go there.
Came to the Dana on a day pass. Had the buffet breakfast, which tasted good for a buffet. Service was slow then as well, and they didn't give us the discount for the meal that we had in our day package. but they were nice. We then went there for lunch. I'm not joking when I say that the staff actively ignored us. I sat and watched every staff member look at us and walk away. We were there with menus waiting for 20 or so minutes before we left. I bet the food is good, and I'm sure the staff are nice. To bad we didn't even get to try. If you choose to come to The Dana, I simply can't recommend that you rely on the Firefly for any of your regular meals. San Diego had amazing food and wonderful service just outside of the hotel. Go to those places. Restaurants are all about the service. No matter what else is good about it, if the service is lacking, then you might as well eat at home or go to a cheap diner. Oh and I don't accept any excuse of understaffing or any of that trash. If you can't afford the staff to operate a smooth business, you should just close down.
The view is really great and the atmosphere is very nice... but the food was not up to par for what it costs. My chicken was so dry I could hardly chock it down which was completely unacceptable. I ordered a dessert to go and specifically asked for the ice cream to be separated from the rest of this dish, which wasn’t done. The dessert was ruined and soggy.
First meal was great! Mushroom Fettuccine, seared Mahi Mahi and baked chicken were awesome! Our waitress was spectacular the first day. Second was a complete train wreck! Super salt chicken tortilla soup and a lava cake, that somehow forgot about the lava, that would have been disappointing even if it didn't take 25 mins to arrive at the table. Regretting going back as it ruined my opinion of the place.
The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the service is not on par with the price of the food. This is particularly the case considering the fine print that 5% is added to your bill so that they can pay the staff. I find it really disappointing and dishonest that they don't just raise their prices. The food was slow to come out. Our waitress didn't come to check on us at all after our food was brought to the table, never refilled our water, didn't ask if I wanted another beer, and galloped away without asking if anyone needed a box (my daughter wanted one but we weren't willing to wait any longer). I really felt like I was an inconvenience, not a guest. Beyond that, the restroom isn't actually in the same building as the restaurant, which detracts from the dining experience. Given our experience I wouldn't dine here again and cannot recommend this restaurant.
Stopped in around 9:30 for a quick bite of dessert. We were seated next to a wall, and didn't get much attention, despite there only being 2 other customers. Waitress acted very disinterested, and even irritated when we asked for the check after 20 minutes of waiting for her. The dessert was fantastic, and the location was very pretty.
The lobster Mac and Cheese was terrible. It tasted like watered down Alfredo. Very disappointed. The coconut rice was exceptional. The short ribs were very tender, with amazing flavor.
Edit: I was able to connect with Erik, the F&B Director, who was able to make this experience have more of a positive light. I had my heart set on not returning and leaving this experience as is. After speaking with Erik, we will be returning next year during our annual trip to see if we can have a better experience. Original review: The staff at this restaurant were unbelievably rude. I called to place a simple to-go order, and the girl on the phone literally hung up after saying “That’s it?” No name, no price, no confirmation—just click. When I went to pick it up, I watched them mock another guest who asked a basic question about pool towels. One girl cut him off mid-sentence with a sarcastic “Yeah yeah, it’s not that big of a deal,” then laughed about him as he walked away. Poor guy even made eye contact with me to confirm he just got treated that way. You could see his smile literally drop when he walked away it was so sad. Firefly isn’t just bad service—it’s employees going out of their way to make paying guests feel stupid and unwelcome. It felt like dealing with bored teenagers who couldn’t care less. Absolutely unacceptable.
This review was for the restaurant only, not the bar located at the other swimming pool. I waited 40 minutes for my clam chowder! I clearly told them I'm in the pool with my kids. I even tip 10% for there shitty service. The tastes and portions of the food is mediocre for 15 dollars! Omg! I should of read all the reviews before even buying. I even showed the guy the online prices before giving me a different prices!
My friend and I came here after a whale watching trio for dinner. We were ignored the waiters while everyone was served. My cappuccino was served unsweetened and like warm. When requested to be made again it tasted exactly the same as when it was served, but slightly warmer. My lava cake was like warm as well and tastes like it was microwaved. Regretting spending almost 30 dollars on terrible food and lackluster service.
I sat down with my family for breakfast. The restaurant was half empty, and it took about an hour to even get a server. Once the server came we asked for a round of waters and orange juice. She brought out one orange juice and no water. After about thirty more minutes she appeared and took our order. She brought out all of the wrong food and we ended up getting up and leaving. I would not recommend this place at all. I would give 0 stars if possible. L
Their breakfast is more like continental. Not much options. Over $100 for 4 people for continental breakfast that has 4 options..I say not worth it! And the service has to get on the other level. We had to hunt for our server to ask for coffee.
extremely mediocre food, i would not recommend this place after seeing cockroaches here. very poor health management and safety, it needs to be shut down.
The service was very attentive. Pleasant setting. The quality of food was very poor for the price point. Ingredients in the dishes were not what was described in the menu and poor quality.
Really dissapointing experience, it took our server a long time to even get our drinks out. Not sure what's so hard about getting some wine and waters out! Once we did order our food, that took a while as well! And when we get it we weren't impressed, definitely not worth the wait! We got the oven roasted chicken and the steak dish, the chicken actually wasn't too bad, but the steak was not worth the price! If you are charging 40$ for it, it better be perfect! At the end after being there over an hour we ordered desert, which also took forever to come! We finally got fed up after being there for over an hour and a half, cancelled our desert order paid and left! The manager hardly even came over and said anything to us, if you guys excpect people to pay 150$ for dinner the service needs to be much better! I've been to fast food places that had better service! Don't recommend at all! It's a shame, beautiful place next to water but service not good at all. They had plenty of time to make our experience great, yet they kept doing the opposite! On the brighgter note, we went to breakfast the next morning and it was almost like it was a total different restaurant! From waiters to managers to cooks, everything was GREAT! Definitely recommend you go there for breakfast, skip dinner though!
