While this is one of our three top Chinese restaurants in our rotation, we hadn’t dined here in a while so we took our son & his girlfriend (who had never dined here previously) here. We were surprised they had added a few new items on their menu… One of which were Salt & Pepper Eggplant! We absolutely love their S&P Asparagus and it was hard not ordering it, to try something new but we did. We got the S&P Eggplant and it did NOT disappoint, it was OUTSTANDINGLY delicious!!! So happy to have discovered one of our favorite dishes that night. If you’re dining here, do yourself a favor and order it! The other three dishes ordered were: Mongolian Beef, Sesame Chicken, and General Tso’s Chicken. All of those were delicious as usual as their typical dishes ordered here. Service was fast, food was served hot and fresh, all in all a solid night out and Golden House still serves some of the best Chinese food in the South Bay!

My favorite place for salt & pepper chicken wings. Try the lunch special for a good price on perfectly fried, savory chicken wings, with garlic and green onions. Comes with rice, and no up charge for fried rice. Tried many restaurants’ fried wings over the years and this is the best.

This is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant! Their Garlic Pepper...ANYTHING is simply amazing! I seriously wish they'd bottle and sell their garlic/pepper mixture. All their dishes are super yummy! The food always arrives quickly and piping hot too. The staff is super nice and, at this point, has my go-to order memorized by now. You're definitely missing out if you don't give them a try!

One of my favorite Chinese Food places in San Diego. Food is always fresh and flavorful. I'm glad they are finally open for indoor dining again. Seems like it was "to go only" forever but a lot of Chinese Food places were the last restaurants to re-open. Took the wife here for mother's day and it was delicious as usual. 😋 🤤

This is your typical Cantonese Chinese food restaurant. My husband and I just got back from Mexico and were looking for a spot that would be open on New Year's day, that was close to the freeway on our way home to Whittier. This place really hit the spot. Their hot and sour soup was spot on. My husband was offered yellow chilies. He did not know what he would get, but he was very pleased with the large yellow chilis. He loved them. It's the first time I have seen a Chinese restaurant cater to Mexican tastes. We ordered the Canton Chicken because it had vegetables. It was crunchy and yummy with the broccoli perfectly cooked. The Canton chow mein was very tasty and had good flavor. I think we found our go to spot after returning from our trips to Mexico. The place was super clean, service was great and the food came right away. I really liked this place because of its convenient proximity to the CBX and the 805 freeway. The prices were reasonable and we ended up taking leftovers home because it was an abundant amount of food. We ordered three dishes from which 3 or 4 people could eat.

I love to review restaurants! Specifically, Chinese Food spots around Southern California! This is an excellent quick stop for all your Chinese Food craves! I stopped in as an impromptu. I ordered refried rice and OJ chicken! Piping hot and so delicious! Every bite is excellent! OJ chicken comes with a delicious sauce and Chile de arbol! My order was nicely sealed like a gift! Ready to go. Customer Service is great and speedy! I'll phone in my order next time! Thank you!

Golden House is usually my second choice (or last choice) when comes to Chinese restaurant selection in Southbay area. Golden House just doesn't come to mind next to Golden Chopstix or Royal Mandarin in National City, which is further out from where I live (8 miles). This is not my first time at Golden House, by the way. Last night, I was actually craving for Pho but did not follow through due to long wait and time at the restaurants we wanted to go to. Since Golden House was on my way back home and there was no wait - perfect, my partner and I stayed. We ordered Mongolian beef with rice and hot tea. It came out in no time, nice and hot. The dish look good, smelled good but was overly garnished with onions, which appeared "fuller." Besides onions abundance, the beef itself was on the tough side. I found myself chewing pieces of meat longer than I should. I must say I do like the restaurant. It was pleasant, calm and inviting. Staff were friendly and food was quick.

The moo shu wraps were already filled when the food was served. They were torn, soggy, and messy. I have never been served pre-filled moo shu wraps. I could not put the plum sauce into the wrap as I have always done. I had to smear it on top, making the dish even messier. When I fill my wraps, I put a lot of vegetables into them, including filling them end to end. Instead, my wraps were not full and had empty wrap at the ends, so my first and last bites were just flour wrap. Receiving the vegetables inside the wraps also meant that there was less to the entree. I normally have a pile of vegetables to take home, but not in this case. My photo shows four wraps, but there were five. The quality of the vegetables was very good, but I was not happy with the dish because of the aforementioned. All of the other food that my guests and I had was otherwise good. Service was good if slightly inattentive, but staff was easily found when needed. The complimentary crispy noodles and dipping sauce before the meal and the fortune cookies and almond cookies after the meal added positively to the experience.

We always order from here for potlucks and parties. Their salt & pepper chicken wings are good. It's probably one of my (and kids) favorite items here. A lot of flavor, crispy, and the meat is juicy. I also like their honey walnut shrimp and chili peppers. This place is legit Chinese food!

Would not recommend order the Kung Pao Lunch special the chicken was cooked with alot of grease and oil and so many green onions it was mainly onion no chicken the food had no flavor would not come back

Very disappointed read the reviews before ordering. Kung pao chicken was recommended. No tasted like it was cooked in old grease. Shrimp egg foo young wasn't horrible it was pretty good, but they should have taken it off sooner it was a slight burnt taste.

I'm sorry. I like posting nice reviews but this place doesn't deserve one, first you cant exchange the rice for one with shrimp. Anyplace will do the exchange for the extra fee. Serving comes and he said he put both of our orders of rice in the same bowl, well Cantonese chicken was too salty, couldn't even eat it, and the orange chicken was bland in flavor, no wonder it didnt take long to make. Decoration was good tho, disappointing. Not coming back again.
