Influx Cafe

I come here often, they're always friendly and the food is consistently good. My favorite is this pecan, chocolate, caramel? bar that is SO good. Pair it with a hammerhead and you have the energy to do anything! Haha. Comfy and quiet atmosphere, good tea options--(they roll their own bags), I only wish they stayed open past 9!

Influx is really nice both for the quality of the food and the drinks, as well as the atmosphere. It's a great study spot and you can sit for quite a while without feeling awkward about it. The staff are really friendly and the food is well priced. The drinks are the prices of drinks at a trendy cafe, but oh well, it's a trendy cafe. There used to be a long red couch, but they've replaced it with three large tables, which are beautiful and good for studying, but definitely not as comfy.

The food here is fresh and tasty. Great selection, vegan options, friendly and helpful staff who helped me find a WW alternative for one of the bagels I ordered. The put some kind of spice over the cream cheese on the bagels that is also really good. Indoor and outdoor seating, easy to get to, quick service, and several different hot sauce options. Where my visit did fall short was their chai concentrate latte mix. The taste is very distinct and very disappointing when its the choice of coffee shop. Very artificial flavor, fake cinnamon taste, just really not good. There are SO many better chai options with distribution. Other than that, I plan on stopping in again before heading back to OH. I would absolutely recommend based on the food alone!

Great home-like atmosphere, selection, and service. It's like an intimate Starbucks for me. I went in later at night after school when most of their options are sold out, but I had the granola bowl with almondmilk and it was nutritiously delicious!- yeah, a breakfast choice for supper! ;D. I was told to come in during the morning when they have everything fresh and available, I will when I get the chance.

Been staying nearby and get my coffee here almost everyday. Nice staff, good coffee, good food. Usually can't sit down, no room from the typical laptoppers. They could fit in more seating if they took out the couch but they probably keep it in there on purpose. I don't like having to hold the big wood block numbers or awkwardly hanging out by the counter for my to go order. Doesn't stop me from going though.

Convenient, covid precaution compliant, easy to order and pay online. Great drinks and decent customer service. Didn't expect this place to become our Saturday morning coffee routine, but we miss it if we skip a week. I get iced Americano and my wife likes the hot chai latte. All breakfast items are always on point, although they vary and the website is updated accordingly. This place is great. Check it out!

Nice cafe in Golden Hill with a good looking food menu. I had a chai latte which hit the spot. Seating is good. I wouldn’t mind seeing some decor, mural, or other use for the very large blank wall on the west side of the store. I’d still return if I was in the area and wanted to get a quick cup of coffee on my way out of downtown.

Lighting is a little dull for reading in late evenings though, but very bright and nice during day time. Good soft background music/ songs. I recommend this place.

It’s like a secret little spot in Golden Hill that everybody actually knows about. Awesome cafe, great vines. Healthy food with great vegan options. They make their own breads fresh daily, & the focaccia is sooo bomb. Love going here for lunch to get some tranquility from the busy downtown work day.

Croissants are amazing...Definitely recommend spending the extra 50 cents to get the jam. Breakfast sandwiches are also solid, they give you a lot of egg.

Visiting from out of town. Trying to check out every coffee shop within a 5 mile radius in the mornings. This place is perfect. The workers or owners know most of the dogs that come in by name and give them doggie biscuits for free. I will be back!!!!

My wife and I stayed at an Airbnb on Broadway on a recent vacation, and found that this was the closest place to get coffee and breakfast. We ended up eating here three consecutive days. All of the bagel sandwiches were fantastic, and that is coming from a native New Yorker - I have a high bar for a good bagel! Highly highly recommend.

Very nice and cozy little cafe in the Little Italy district of San Diego. Very reasonable prices and tasty bagels. Convenient place to work, little outside area. Will definitely return.

Came here with some friends for Sunday brunch. This place is small and seating is limited. The food is delicious. My friend ordered the large cinnamon roll looking pastry which is basically as big as her face. It was delicious! Super fluffy and not too sugary. I ordered the croissant melt and somehow completely missed the fact that it didn't come with an egg. I was a bit bummed about that but the croissant was delicious with the ham, brie, and mustard. They had great coffee as well. All my friends got different kinds of latte and everyone loved their coffee.

I've had a lot of people recommend it since I moved down the street and I was underwhelmed. The coffee is pretty basic. They've got a nice, if...slim, patio area, and there's definitely a lot of space inside. It's hyper hipster, but the hyper hipster babies that inhabit the place are surprisingly friendly and don't seem too cool for school, so that's something. It kinda seems like the kind of place that has a great reputation bc of the people there, not the product they sell. Prices are solid, not as high as I'd expect but not basement prices.

Good coffee at the standard price ($2.50 for large drip) for the area. Comfortable seating inside with couches and some tables. Some outdoor sidewalk seating available. Didn't try the food. One drawback is no bike parking or if it is there, it is hidden.

I'm not a big coffee person, but the food here is amazing! The croissant melts are delicious: flaky but not burnt or dry, covered in savory cheese and ham (or tomato for the vegetarian option). The bagels are always perfect: crisp on the outside, just a little chewy on the inside... If you're in a rush for food, just call your order in ahead of time as they can get pretty busy in the morning.

This place is delicious, though a little overpriced, but that doesn't stop me from frequenting it on the weekends. The staff is friendly and the fresh muffins and scones are delightful! Get the croissant melt... It's is flaky and soft and oh-so-tasty!

This is my favorite location from all of the Influx coffee shops. This one feels less rushed, more relaxed, and is normally less crowded. The staff here has always been very nice. They have messed up a order here and there but are more than happy to fix it. The drinks and food options are good as well as varied.

Great atmosphere, pup friendly which is huge in my book. Scone was fresh.

Great café to study or work from. Even though there’s a steady flow of people coming in and out, it’s surprisingly easy to find a table, which makes it a comfortable spot to settle in for a while. I’ve been here a few times now, and it’s been a consistently good experience each visit. This time, I kept it simple and ordered a latte, which was just as good as I remembered, reliably well made and enjoyable. The staff is friendly and welcoming, which adds to the overall positive vibe of the place. I’ll definitely be coming back and am looking forward to trying their bagels next time.

First time at Influx and I’m impressed. The turkey melt was legit—full of flavor—and the hammerhead coffee had that strong kick I needed. They open early too, which is a win for early birds. Solid first experience, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Alright little spot to pop a squat and binge watch your shows. Or I did anyway.. I don’t know what you do here but to each their own. Yes they have coffee and I had a cup. The taste wasn’t important or extraordinary. Music had a nice vibe to it but was shortly ruined by the loudest dog with the most earsplitting bark… I’ve ever experienced to this day. That dog spoke with mad diaphragm.

Till this day, LADY WITH SHORT HAIR AND GLASSES I asked her for hot sauce and ignored me and by the door said “YOU CAN COME AND GET IT” in front of everybody such a horrible experience it sucks because coffee and food is actually really good but this is my last time here. We need to be kinder

The owner must’ve been having the worst day of her life when I showed up, because she decided to unleash her inner drill sergeant on an employee in front of the whole store. The crime? Adding cheese to a bagel. Like, my gal, it’s just cheese. CALM DOWN. I paid for it, all you had to do was melt it on there, not melt down in front of us! It was super unprofessional, awkward for the customers, and straight-up cringe for the employee who, let’s be honest, could’ve been spoken to like a human being instead of being yelled at like they committed a felony. A little kindness goes a long way!

Updated review: the espresso is bad. I don't even know if she weighed the espresso out before brewing the shot. It was entirely bitter and even barely drinkable in a 16oz latte. I'm a former barista, if it means anything for this. I'd ask for a refund if I had time. It could just be personal preference, or just a bad shot, but the espresso tastes burnt--slightly nutty and chocolatey, but almost charred. I've heard great things about their chai, though, so I'll probably give them another go. Friendly staff and a good selection of food!
